Anambra State government has completed an arrangement to set up the Geographic Information System (GIS) process, which will facilitate land administration activities in the state.

The state’s Commissioner for Lands, Physical Planning & Rural Development, Prof. Ofornze Amuchanze, said the system will be fully digitised by the end of this year, which is in line with Governor Charles Soludos’ vision of achieving a livable and prosperous homeland for citizens.

Amucheazi said: “We have commenced implementation of the GIS, which is aimed at improving efficiency, effectiveness of land administration and other related land matters.

“It will enhance online land transactions and is expected to be concluded by the end of 2024. All the activities are aimed at turning Anambra state into a progressive state in the Southeast region.”

Part of what Governor Amosun did to increase internally generated revenue accruable to Ogun state coffers monthly from paltry N750 million revenue, about nine years ago, to about N7 billion on a monthly basis, was a huge investment in infrastructure which made easy access to land and land title documents as well as ease of doing business realistic thereby, attracting both local and foreign direct investments that translated into wealth creation and job opportunities.

“Some of the revenue lines we had to activate were tax audit. We do a lot of tax audits. The non-revenue lines that come from the Kaduna Geographical Information Systems (KAGIS); that is the ground rent, the one that comes from quality assurance registration and renewal of schools and then the motor vehicle administration that was also activated and brought to life,” he said.

Erstwhile Secretary General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo worldwide, Professor Ben Nwabueze, SAN, is dead.

Born in 1931, in Atani, Anambra State, Prof Nwabueze before his death was a Constitutional lawyer.

Nwabueze died on Sunday evening in his home, sources close to Vanguard revealed.

A contract was awarded fraudulently,

The Federal Government cancelled it

The Contractor took the case to court and was awarded over $6b with increasing interest if it wasn't paid on time

Federal Government Appealed it and got the latest amount of $11b on the case thrown out.

The government should go after those that created the fake contract issue so that people won't ever repeat such fake contracts

First

Secondly
Following train at Ojevwe to itakpe kogi state. Which is #5000. I don't know how much it will cost and how long it will take from itakpe to ILLORIN town.

Playing along, FIJ found that after these scammers introduce themselves, they provide a link to a YouTube page and instruct the respondent to follow it, requesting a screenshot as proof.

“To show you how it works, we will give you a reward of N2,000 for the trial,” one of them told FIJ.

FIJ followed the link, which redirected us to a YouTube page, and we subscribed to the page. Once we sent a screenshot to the scammer as proof of our follow, they inquired about our reporter’s age and whether they had an active Telegram account.

The reporter answered in the affirmative, and the scammer asked the reporter to send a “hello” to a bot named Ifeoma on Telegram. On sending the message, they asked the reporter to provide a salary code.

FIJ took a screenshot of our chats with Ifeoma and sent them to the scammer. In response, the scammer sent a code with our phone number attached to it, and they asked us to forward the message to Ifeoma on Telegram. But the reporter deliberately tampered with the code before doing so.

The potential consequences of sending the code from WhatsApp to Instagram are unknown, but it was likely to result in something negative. This is a common tactic employed by fraudsters attempting to compromise the accounts of unsuspecting individuals.

In light of how these scammers tarnished the reputation of Ocean Trends Digital, a legitimate digital creative agency in Nigeria, the agency issued a statement on Friday asserting that they do not offer job opportunities.

When we searched the internet for some of the companies that the group of scammers claimed to work for, many of them had no social media presence.

Internet fraudsters with numbers starting with +62 have spammed the WhatsApp accounts of many Nigerians in the last week with unsolicited mouthwatering job opportunities, asking them to follow certain pages on YouTube for money in return.

FIJ learned that this syndicate, whose members purport to represent entities like Ripmark Digital Media or Ocean Trends Digital, or even use fictitious names, began to reach out to Nigerians on Tuesday.

Typically, after a Nigerian responds to their initial message with a simple ‘hi’ or ‘hello,’ the scammers introduce themselves courteously and state their objective – to offer Nigerians money in exchange for following certain YouTube pages.

Green Africa Airline council my PH/LOS to and fro flight twice and I apply for refund, is almost two months now that I applied for refund and no refund has been made, I have called them several times, i have send several mails with no result.

Please has anybody ever been refunded by Green Africa Airline? How long did it take and how did you go about it?
