England is not in contention with us for eze.
but Scotland is....the dude is also Scottish.

thats my fear because they don't really have good players like that....they may call him up anytime soon.
The boy, his parents and his agent should be patient and don't in a hurry pull an Alaba on themselves.

Everybody knows that Scotland ain't winning any major trophy any time soon. Unless he will be contempted with friendlies and qualifiers oh less I forget European Nations League too.

That Maddison guy is a baller... If he continues this this way,3 Lions call up is not far away. This should buy us time with Eze.

I wish Puel can stick to Nacho Vardy upfront with Maddison behind them. This way Vardy and Nacho won't lack service.

Belgian league no follow for back water leagues brother. When u talk of back water, u talk about, Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia, Czech, Kazakstan, etc.

Abeg give me an honest assessment of what u saw in Danjuma yesterday.
hahaha... I think you know how the Ranking Master rank these leagues. The leagues you highlighted are lacking in quality and so can be regarded as backwater leagues. But That doesn't take away the fact that there are possibility of having exceptional players in those leagues.

On Danjuma, he was decent last night. He kept it simple and drew a very fine save off Dortmond goalkeeper. He will be a great addition. But don't forget he is a winger and so will have lots of fight in his hands when he finally joins.

Presently, the Super Eagles seems to have more feathers on the wings than other parts of its body
Musa, .
S. Moses
Henry,
Iwobi
S. Kalu
**Success**
*Ademola
*Danjuma

I think it's time Rohr begins to play without an out and out strikers or better still converts Musa to 9 and if possible get success into the position since our first two 9s have failed to live up to expectations.

Watching Club Brudge yesterday made me have some rethink on all these backwater leagues.

They ain't as bad as we portray them. Lack of large media coverage is their bane. They are most underrated but I think they play decent football. Ranking 2nd tier division ahead of these leagues here is simply football injustice.

The only time Rohr gave us something was during the World Cup Qualifiers. He gave us a new style of play. Gave us a team and an Identity! But what got into his head and his team no one can say.

One thing that is obvious is that the man is short of ideas to propel the team forward.
The earlier we agree to this the better.

Concerning tactical and technical acumen, he is lacking! The first time SOME MEMBERS spotted it and raised it here that the man has some tactical deficiency. They were all silenced and crucified for stating the obvious. They were called so many names and tagged prophets of doom. But it seems people are just catching up in reality to what they saw then.

As for me, I have no single hope for the SEs under as long as Rohr is still the head coach and technical advisor. We will only be moving without real progress! That is why I have stopped posting or guessing preferred call ups and line ups.

Anthony Ujah is Rohr's savior.

Happy New Week to everyone.

Question: IN TERMS OF PLAY, HAS THE SUPER EAGLES REALLY IMPROVED OVER THE YEARS(THIS INCLUDING ROHR'S ERA)?

Note: I'm not talking about results but playing patterns.

Congratulations to the Golden Eaglets on their hard fought victory over eternal football rivals the black starlets of Ghana!

Wishing them the best as they represent West Africa in next year CAF U-17 championship.

I believe we will make it into the Semis and so be one of African Representatives at the World Cup.

Kudos to the the young chaps.

stop trying to save face.
bolded@ what stops vardy you want nancho to emulate from converting those two clear cut chances?
you see nancho is a unique player of his own kind.
you can go emulate vardy but nancho is a class on its own even when it is not obvious yet for all to see.
vardy still has a lot to learn because if he was that good....he would have at least go break into the English first 11 easily all his time as an English player he was a backup so he is little above average.

it should be clear to you that the team play a negative foot ball mostly with little creativity from the midfield...when a team like arsenal, spurs can create more better goal scoring opportunities and still keep pressing unfortunately Leicester still playing kick and rush football in the epl
This is an insult to Jamie Vardy!

Vardy is a complete striker and so many top teams will die to have him play for them.

We all know why Kane played the whole world cup minutes... I don't think Vardy's bench role at the World Cup was down to his ability/quality.

Leicester Nacho might have had a decent game today but comparing him to Vardy is football blasphemy!

Note the phrase 'Leicester Nacho'

Rohr and the NFF probably never had the insight that Weah and Debbah will be playing.

They were invited for an international friendly to honor George Weah, Liberia's president. And Rohr felt it is an opportunity to test his fringe players.

The lessons has been learnt going forward.

Our next game is barely 3weeks away. That should be the focus right now. I hope to see: Mikel, Simon, Ekong and Iwobi fully back for that game.
Hmmm... With Iwobi and Simon back, one of Kalu and Henry will have to make way.
Rohr doesn't see Iwobi as an AMF and Ighalo is already destined to lead our attack again.

As much as I don't like to admit this, we are in for a very long thing under Rohr.
Imagine Success hitting top gear before next match. Ighalo and Simmy scoring in our previous two matches and Nacho hitting the upright from a resulting free kick that later led to a goal(now our set pieces taker) Rohr will rather call up the above regulars as is 9 despite delivering 3 goals in total in the last one year.

I'll advice Lookman to keep whatever card he is playing close to himself, keep his head down and continue to churn out top performances hopefully luck will smile on him cos that way, he is assured of being called up.

Glad we won yesterday despite that we never envisage it to be a testimonial game.

Either way. It was played for 90mins, FIFA game rules was also adhere to. I don't see any reason for anyone to overlook players performances in the duel.

There is no difference between the match and the one against Atletico own. They all belong to the same grade.

I learnt that Liberia organized the friendly match in honor of George Weah #14 and they plan to retire his jersey number.

Got few quick questions:
1. Will FIFA allow the Liberia team to ommit a certain jersey number in a case where they qualify for a major football event like the world cup.
2. In relation to question 1 above will they increase their jersey number to 24 if granted the permission by FIFA.
huh

This reminds me of Okwaraji's jersey number 6 that was said to be retired but was later seen worn by subsequent generations of players.
