Does this depend on country the OP is relocating to, I am asking because jobs are generally available in US for all types of skill. but when it comes to EU, then we start having troubles finding the companies hiring depending on which EU country.

Interesting question. The only challenge I've had getting EU jobs in voice is their GDPR wahala with restrictions on where data in rest or in motion can be. Interestingly is that two of the major open source software widely used in this field are built in Europe. The global leading VoIP software for business is by a business operating from the EU. So I'd say there is a demand in Europe. In the EU at least. Definitely they won't be matching US pay but there are opportunities

I'm left of center and always like to thread the part least followed. I'd say consider a career in real time communications. VoIP specifically. Learn Asterisk or Freeswitch.

Recently stumbled across some Nigerian guys working for Telnyx as devs. Glass door suggests they may be pulling in around $100k per annum although I think it's closer to $84k. These are direct full-time employees, not Independent Contractors like us.

It isn't a part of their kindergarten curriculum.

The 10% I left is for communities on the banks of water bodies. I'm not a proficient swimmer, but went to my village last year. I was shocked to see children under 5 years old moving like tadpoles in the water unaided. My mother would have had a pulmonary embolism if any of those were here children

Business / Re: BDCs Back CBN’s Directive Stopping Use Of Domiciliary Accounts As Collateral by airsaylongcome: 10:32pm On Apr 11
Fiscus105:

It's not crazy, at time when you use your own money to finance a business, you may not serious enough with the business, but wen you have money in the banks as collateral for loan you take from same bank, .....you would sit up and focus more on the business, for you to be able to repay your loan and gain profit.

Your mentality would be that, I'm using someone's money to do business and not my own money.

Just like when you are doing daily/ weekly contribution vs keeping your money in ur bank account.

You will work harder to pay contribution, why u might not so serious when u re taking ur savings to ur account in the bank.

I had a long drawn WhatsApp group conversation around this over this long public holiday. For me I understand the concept so it's fine by me. But people with none finance knowledge think of it as crazy. Why should I have 10m in the bank earning say 10% and go and take a 10m loan paying 12%. Trust me to a lot of non-finance people, that is pure cray-cray

I know at least 15 of Tinubu's boys who are past or current bank MDs, so Tinubu has lots of professionals and rogues to advise him. You cannot win Emilokan Tinubu in this game.

If you too think well, you go list at least 10 Tinubu boys who are or were bank MDs

Lol...trust me. The banks are ingenious. Shebi it's FX in the country they are going after? Expect people interested in those kinds of loans (which are legal by the way) to move their Dom FX to West African subsidiaries of the banks.

Plz someone should explain in layman's language..

It's "technical" but there's something called Cash-backed loan where you use the money (in this case USD) you have in a bank as collateral to take a loan from the bank. It sounds crazy and weird I know. But it's a thing. So what CBN is saying is that Banks can no longer use FX as the Cash collateral for the loan.

Plus or minus life jackets, I've vowed never to embark on any trip that has to do with waterways...

Reminds me of my elder sister's mother in-law's burial ceremony that took place last month......There were two routes to the village and of which the cheapest one was the one that involved passing through a river....I jejely opt out for the road trip even though it was the expensive one cuz I no wan die leave this my small keke wey I dey use manage my life angry

Learn to swim. It's a life skill. It's like cooking or like knowing how to switch on a generator.

There are loads and loads of British people who are born black. Loads. With zero trace to where in Africa their forebears were from. That's by the way

You miss my point though. If this was about Christine Ohurogu or some other upstanding Black Brit with Nigerian or African ancestry, and it was not a report about a criminal act, you would have seen zero reference to their "Nigerian descent". The British media rush to mention their descent when it's a report of a criminal act

Young man stick to the romance section you are not very intelligent .

Nigeria needs patriots who are ready to work and fix this nation. Nigeria needs citizens who are ready to support the government and the president.

Your comment is typically that of a:
i) no-stakes- having,
ii) mentally handicapped,
III) no-do-well;

who wants everything handed to him.

The president acknowledges that people like Airpeace are patriots who work towards the nation building.

But you are used to living off handouts given to you by either politicians or individuals with no stakes in nation building hence your IQ can't fathom what it takes to sacrifice toward building a future for us all

You are not patriotic shikena!

Patriotism in business? Naaaah. Business is war. And the weapon of your warfare is the data and analytics to properly price your product. Take it from me, any business anywhere in the world that relies on import for 90% of local consumption will adjust its price ahead of restocking. It's a rational behaviour. Every country that has had this problem of hyperinflation and is heavily dependent on import does it. Zim, Venezuela, Argentina. Large swathes of small business owners increase the retail price of their existing stock if they have information that the cost price of their stock has gone up. It's not a lack of patriotism. It's business. It's war

If what you described here is business then you are nothing but a thief. You are supposed to sell your old stock before updating to the new stock. That's what you people do and call it business.
It's fraud, lack of patriotism. You all go to church every Sunday while sabotaging Nigeria economy. God will judge all of you

A lot of you take business scenarios and reply with sentimental answers. So let's take it back to basic economics. Let's assume you sell one unit of a product. That's all you sell. Your old stock has selling price 1,200. And new stock is cost price at 2,800. What will you do? Sell the old stock at 1,200 then look for 1,600 to add to that to be able to buy new stock?
