ceejayluv: True. But the content is more targeted at Nigerians resident in Nigeria. You write, targeting the majority of your readers. That's why when you go on places like reddit and see ELI5, or IANAL you go and research them as a non-American. Any non-Nigerian that wants to know the meaning of "Kèké Napep" should go and research it 4 Likes |

ceejayluv: Communication is about passing AND receiving meaning. To the average Nigerian, that thing is called Kèké Napep. OP should have just stuck with the local.term instead of using bombast or being bombastic 3 Likes |

Programming / Re: How Old were You When You Started Coding ? by airsaylongcome: 2:29am On Apr 27 |
Lol...when you started coding doesn't necessarily corelate with competence. Constant, deliberate practice is what builds competence. For example, I wrote my first line of code in BASIC over 30 years ago. Today my coding is really bad as I stopped coding in 2013. Not like I was consistently coding before then 4 Likes 1 Share |

Yankee101: You said: "Equate population and know why nigeria is close to the bottom". I am arguing that wealth has nothing to do with population. It has more to do with productivity. Nigeria is at the bottom because we aren't as productive as the others. Not because of our population 1 Like |

VinnyBaba: So let's engage without trading insults. Nose piercing has been documented for over 5000 years. "Culturally, the piercings signified the social status of the individual and their right to access other ceremonies." (Wikipedia). Less than 30 years ago, it was anathema for a Nigerian lady to wear trousers. They were seen as ashawo. Today even top business execs wear trousers. Culture changes and we have to be adapt to it or die. A nose piercing is an ordinary body adornment not different from other body adornments. 1 Like |

Penguin2: Your own interpretation of reported facts doesn't make your interpretation a reality. Obaseki did not betray the Ọba. If he did, he would have been outcast and banished from Bini Kingdom. If you don't know how Bini traditions work, keep silent. Have a good day. 1 Like |

Politics / Re: Agho Obaseki: Gov. Obaseki’s Ancestor Who Betrayed The Oba Of Benin In 1897. by airsaylongcome: 1:02pm On Apr 15 |
Penguin2: I've been ignoring your careless use of the word "ancestor". No one refers to a grandparent as an "ancestor". So it's me that has been tolerating your intellectual nonsense. That aside, ease quite ONE reference in your watery Wikipedia source where it says that Agho Obaseki betrayed the Ọba. |
Politics / Re: Agho Obaseki: Gov. Obaseki’s Ancestor Who Betrayed The Oba Of Benin In 1897. by airsaylongcome: 12:23pm On Apr 15 |
Penguin2: Your Wikipedia article doesn't even assert that "One of Obaseki's ancestors" betrayed the Ọba. Show me ONE SENTENCE where that article asserts that. |
Politics / Re: Agho Obaseki: Gov. Obaseki’s Ancestor Who Betrayed The Oba Of Benin In 1897. by airsaylongcome: 11:45am On Apr 15 |
Penguin2: He who asserts is burdened with proof. You have been parroting that Obaseki's "ancestor" betrayed Ọba. And have not been able to provide proof that that silly assertion. Even the Wikipedia article you seem to be relying on, does not state anywhere that Agho Obaseki betrayed Ọba Ovoranmwen. So I will not engage until you can provide verifiable proof that "One of Obaseki's ancestors" betrayed the Ọba |
