My wife is not permitted to have any male friends, be it ex boyfriend, school mate, old colleague, cousin brother, street brother, church brother etc. She is only permitted to be close to her father and her sons(my sons).

Bros i agree with her. 22 is too young for marriage. Most 22yr old girls today are busy having the time of their lives, and having guys shower them with money and attention. Plus having random and meaningless sex. Its a humongous mistake to wife anyone of that age. She'll want to enjoy the attention and freedoms her friends are enjoying. If you cage her or try to counsel her, it won't end well.
This is pathetic and insane. So you rather marry a 30 year old woman that has been serially ravaged by several fuckboys? WTF

A 22 year old is a FULLY GROWN WOMAN. Even a 20 year old is ripe for marriage. How old feminists have managed to make unreasonable comments is baffling

Let me advise you as a married man myself, try not to make it a big issue and trust your partner more. It takes time for women to settle into their marriage both mentally and emotionally especially if you guys didn't date long enough. Most of ladies are prepared for wedding and completely unprepared for marriage and will still cling to their previous attachments such as Friends, Mother, Sisters, Cousins, Family, etc (although 'Male Bestie' is sort of strange). You will need to invest time, resources and energy into your marriage especially in these early stages to gain her absolute trust until she feels comfortable enough to detach from them. It may take a while, say two to three years but trust me when you get to that stage, you'll be cruising in your marriage like it's a bonanza. There's nothing better emotionally than having a loyal partner, no amount of money can buy you that and the sad reality is that it doesn't come automatically with the marriage certificate, it takes a conscious effort and God's Grace.

I'm a happily married guy myself and I have absolute PEACE. Happy Married Life Brother
Many silly men have said more than this until they did DNA test on their kids. Simp

Politics / The IGP Should Rescind His Unconstitutional And Illegal Orders In Southeast by AishaYesufu: 2:37pm On May 24, 2021
NZUKO UMUNNA WORLD PRESS CONFERENCE ON THE STATE OF THE NATION ANCHORED BY DR SAM AMADI AND PROF UDENTA O. UDENTA

Monday 24th May 2021 @ NUJ House Abuja, Nigeria

The attention of Nzuko Umuna, a leading socio-cultural association of Igbo professionals and patriots, has been drawn to a widely circulated statement credited to the Inspector General Police authorizing police officers to shoot at sight suspected members of the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB) without minding human rights protections fully guaranteed by the constitution. According to multiple newspaper, television, and social media reports, the Inspector General, while launching Operation Restore Peace in Southeast in Enugu on May 18, 2021, declared thus: “Don’t mind the media shout; do the job I command you. If anyone accuses you of human rights violation, the report will come to my table, and you know what I will do. So, take the battle to them wherever they are and kill them all. Don’t wait for an order. Don’t sit and wait for them to come; take the attack to them and don’t lose your arms to criminals”.

We consider this statement horrifying, frightening and unutterable in a democracy with entrenched constitutional rights to life and due process. We are more surprised that the head of the Nigerian Police will make such an outrageous statement authorizing state violence in a region that, for long, has been seething with anger at police brutality and extortion and a region whose youths have been extra-judicially killed by security agents in large numbers. This statement sends shivers down the spines of residents of southeast because it suggests a declaration of war againstthem by the Nigerian state; and conjure images of gruesome murders like we saw during the infamous ‘Python Dance’ in the southeast. Already, there are credible reports of numerous extrajudicial killings of people in the southeast. How many more will be killed if soldiers and police officers believe that there will be no accountability for all forms of impunity and atrocity in the southeast.
We understand the exasperation of the government about the insecurity crisis in the country and the spate of attacks against law enforcement personnel and state security institutions, infrastructure, and assets. Nzuko Umunna fully supports efforts, in accordance with constitutional norms and global standards of law enforcement, to protect the lives and properties of Nigerians in the South East and elsewhere in Nigeria. We condemn in unmistakable language attacks against police officers and other law enforcement agents in the South East, the South South, the South West, the North Central, the North East and the North West. We urge the Nigeria Police to painstakingly find out and prosecute those who are guilty of such nefarious and criminal actions against law and order; and to use all legitimate force to prevent such attacks.

However, the painful loss of lives of men and officers under one’s watch is not a justification for an indiscriminate and vicious resort to state violence against Nigerian citizens in the South East by the head of the Nigerian police. Such reckless statement betrays a determination to punish Nigerian citizens in the region and deprive them of the due process protection under the constitution. The resort to state violence against Nigerian citizens in the South East contravenes Mr. President’s oath of office to protect the lives and wellbeing of all Nigerians without regard to ethnic, religious, and other identities. The statement also violates the mandate of the Nigerian police as a state institution under the constitution and the Police Act.

Nzuko Umuna recognizes that Nigeria has descended into depth of insecurity partly because of the failure of governance across the country and particularly because of inequities and injustices of political leadership in Nigeria. We acknowledge that the perception of unfair and unequal treatment of citizens compounds the insecurity crisis. Statements like those of the IGP further deepens the sense of victimization by the state and therefore escalates the crisis. We support the resolutions of the Southern Governors Forum, which has received tremendous endorsement by leading politicians and civil leaders in the north and south of Nigeria. We urge the federal government and its agencies and institutions to pursue this path of reason and justice in order to save Nigeria from looming and devastating collapse.

We regret that the South East, the safest region in Nigeria, has increasingly become a site of organized criminality. We stand with the Southeast Governors, the Ohaneze Ndigbo and other civic organizations in Igbo to demand proper forensic audit of the hitherto unheard ‘Unknown Gunmen’ syndrome as it is strange to the customs and norms of people of the region. We know from data available in public domain that there has been escalation of killing of police officers across the country before the current wave of attacks in the South East. This suggests that the ‘unknown gunmen’ phenomenon may relate to a more complex crisis of insecurity in Nigeria. With open borders, increasing poverty and frustration of youths, corruption in the most hallowed centers of law enforcement, herdsmen violence and banditry, and political brigandage in Nigeria, a simplistic and unscientific explanation of the ‘Unknown Gunmen’ phenomenon does not suffice. Nevertheless, we support effective law enforcement actions to defeat those criminals killing police officers. Both political and civil leaders in South East fully support efforts to take the region back to its status as the safest region of the country.
In the context of history of extrajudicial killing of youths of South East as a result of presumed law enforcement actions, we view the IGP’s charge as a declaration of war against the region and an authorization for the killing of innocent persons. Even in a state of war against enemy combatants, states apply rules of engagement, including due process guarantees for even non-citizens in compliance with extant international humanitarian laws and laws that govern armed combats. In the last conflict between Israel and Hamas, a globally acknowledged terror organization, the State of Israel continued to take extra measures to protect civilians from legitimate airstrikes. But the Nigerian Inspector General of Police asked his men and officers to brush aside such rules and probably kill citizens who are neither enemy combatants nor insurgents.

By this press conference, we give the National Human Rights Commission notice to commence investigation of the statement of Inspector General of Police and take proactive preventive actions to avert extrajudicial killings in the South East. We also serve notice to the international community, particularly, the International Criminal Court and the United Nation Human Rights Council and the various High Commissions and Embassies in Nigeria, of a policy of state violence against Nigerian citizens in South East who are mostly Igbos. These authorities should take proactive actions to avert what is clearly a policy of state violence against some Nigerians by the Nigerian security institutions.
Gentlemen of the press, we are not demanding the resignation or the sack of the Inspector General of Police. We are willing to give the police chief the benefit of doubt that the statement was a huge mistake of judgment because of the anxiety and anger at the unfortunate and highly condemnable killings of police officers. But we demand that he issues a public apology to the Nigerian people, particularly people of the South East and issues a counter-directive to police rank and file in the South East to prosecute the operation Restore Peace with scrupulous observance of constitutional rights guarantees and the fundamental norms of citizenship and accountability. The Inspector General of Police should follow this up with a letter addressed to the people of southeast reassuring them of lack of bias and criminal intent against them.

These actions are necessary to win the battle of hearts and minds and secure legitimacy and community support necessary to win the war against insecurity in the region and across all regions of Nigeria. We have to defeat insecurity in southeast and other regions of Nigeria. But we must protect the right to life and dignity of citizens in the southeast and other regions of the country. It is such wanton violations of the right to life and dignity of the people of the southeast during the ‘Python Dance’ that destabilized a haven of peace.

We want an end to state violence and siege against the southeast. We want justice and dignity for citizens in the southeast. We believe that resort to terror by the Nigerian state is not the way to stabilize Nigeria in the current crisis. With justice, with good faith to all and malice to none, and with competent leadership, we can still build a prosperous, democratic, and just Nigerian state that does not rely on brutal force to maintain legitimacy. Justice, not force, is the basis of political legitimacy. We demand justice for southeast and for all Nigerian regions.

It is time to end the military assault on the southeast.

Politics / Eleka @53: The Man And His Thoughts, By David Love Opeyemi by AishaYesufu: 8:16am On May 24, 2021
King Solomon rightly said that a man who is diligent in his business will stand before Kings and not before mean men. How about a diligent King? He will receive the respects of fellow kings and be loved by his people. This could be said of Prof. Kolapo Olusola Eleka, whose lovers and enemies will agree that he is a diligent King, a wise leader, an achiever and a man who is fully committed to Purpose. His records are there for all to see. Even his most prominent opponent in 2018 gubernatorial election later testified that, indeed, he was God-sent.

However, what are the thoughts of this diligent kingly Man, who will lead Ekiti State next year by God's grace? This is beyond his achievement but his personality.

First, Eleka believes in the capability of his people. He doesn't show disdain for anyone irrespective of background, always rendering help to all that comes across his way. This humble Professor taught some students Physics and Mathematics on weekends for months from last year to this year, with a view to helping them cushion the effect of the pandemic. Regarding the issue, when I engaged him, he said: "I have to teach them; who knows if I am sick tomorrow and one of them is a Doctor and the person has to treat me tomorrow. If I don't help solidify the foundation today, the building will collapse on all of us tomorrow."

From what I have observed in Professor Eleka, He doesn't just want to help, he believes that these young ones will definitely help build the future. The teaching was not convenient but the purpose was clear and overriding. This man didn't look down on these future leaders, he rather contributed to the future itself. Come and look at how happy he was this year when those students passed their exams. He burnt midnight candles to teach them, even at his age.

A fact you cannot ignore is, with people like Prof Eleka, the future is bright and the wise thing to do is for Ekiti youths to stake their votes on him.

Again, early this year when the crisis of Ekiti State University EKSU was alarming, he pointed out that "if the opportunity was given to him to lead the state, ASUU won't think nor consider embarking on industrial action." Of course, I asked how that could be achieved, considering the devastating pain of strike on the future of youths. His reply was simple. Based on my own level of knowledge, he mentioned Silicon valley in California State, USA and I understood. The reply didn't just show how innovative his thoughts are but how futuristic they are, with practical examples.

Dear Ekiti Lecturers and residents, the future is now. Choose a man who will erupt Ekiti Potential Knowledge Economy. If you are wondering how I knew his thoughts, he is my mentor.

On another occasion, when the issue of candidacy with his former boss began, he was just calm. When people call him, he will keep mentioning "Oga" respectfully. I was wondering if this man is a typical Nigeria politician, showing respect and loyalty to someone who is practically against his (Eleka's) progress. As a good Christian that I am, I found answers in the Bible, looking at the relationship between Saul and David. We all know how that ended.

Furthermore, when making decisions, as a disciplinarian and no nonsense person, he asks for opinions before arriving at a conclusion. He would want to know what others think about issues. "What do you think"? "I just want you to hear" are some of the remarks he makes to establish a participatory deliberation. This shows his style of leadership, a participatory approach, where all voices are heard in making decisions unlike some leaders that command selfish decision.Likewise, those who worked with him in Education sector.

Leaders of all cadre in Ekiti State, I want to urge you to be prepared for participatory governance. I want you to believe you have a man that wouldn't wave you aside because of position. And, in making firm decision, Professor Eleka is a Lion and little wonder he is making waves on his gubernatorial ambition, despite all odds. He knows what is right and stands for it at all time.

Eleka is a tower of commitment. He doesn't do half job nor compromise process for shorter results or parochial purpose. His Excellencies, Former Governor Fayose and Governor Seyi Makinde can testify to this Man of Purpose. He will tell you if you know you can do it, do it well.

Professor Eleka is a liberal giver and a spartan. Whenever someone is needy and talks to him, he ensures he gives even at his own inconvenience. And when it comes to public fund, Eleka is a Spartan, he doesn't spend what is not his own nor mismanage funds. Even his former boss, Oshoko can testify to this; because if he was greedy or looter like some of our leaders, they would have used it against him now. Ekiti your allocation is safe with him.

What more can be said about a diligent King, purpose-driven leader and a Man from, of and for the people. He is just the BEST among the qualified.

His mantra says it all: "Rebuilding the broken walls, discovering new grounds"

Crown him and see Prosperity. Support him and witness a positive turnaround. Fight him and be dealt with by the Philistines.

As Professor Eleka, My Mentor, is a year older today, my prayer is that the Lord Almighty, my backbone who helped King David, will definitely help you in Jesus name. Amen.

Happy Birthday, H.E Prof. Kolapo Olubunmi Olusola Eleka. I thank God for the Gift of you.

God bless you, Sir.

Politics / His Death Is A National Loss, Eleka Reacts To COAS Death by AishaYesufu: 11:31am On May 22, 2021
A former Deputy Governor of Ekiti state and aspirant for the state's 2022 gubernatorial election, Professor Kolapo Olusola Eleka, had described the death of the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Ibrahim Attahiru, and other military officers as national loss.

Professor Eleka, a former university don and professor of building, made this known while reacting to the crash of a military aircraft on Friday that killed the late Army Chief, his wife and other members of his entourage.

In a statement that he personally signed on Friday, Professor Eleka declares the deceased COAS and other members of his entourage as heroes, a prayed for repose of their souls.

The statement reads;

"The death of Nigeria’s Chief of Army Staff, Lt General Ibrahim Attahiru in a plane crash with his gallant men at Kaduna Airport yesterday should be seen as national loss to all Nigerians.

The late General Ibrahim Attahiru gave his best to our country, displaying professionalism since he took over as COAS, especially in the ongoing fight against Boko Haram terrorism and Banditry in the country.

I sympathize with the Nigeria Armed forces, Nigeria Army and the entire families of the victims of the unfortunate plane crash.

They are our heroes who forsook pleasure and remained committed to protecting the territorial integrity of Nigeria. May their souls rest in perfect peace.

I call on all Nigerians to put our country in prayers, especially during this trying times.

May God heal our land and protect us all.

2022 ELECTION: I'll Contest Primary Election And Win, Eleka Assures Ekiti PDP Stakeholders

Media Aide to a former deputy governor and PDP candidate in the 2018 election, Mr. Adebisi Adeola, has assured that his principal will contest the PDP primary election slated to hold next year, adding that no amount of shenanigans can stop his divine calling to serve the people of the state.

Adeola stated that it is imperative that Prof. Kolapo Olusola, who served under the last administration as a deputy governor, performed excellently well with utmost loyalty and commitment to the successful completion of Fayose’s led administration.

Reacting to the rumor making the round that the University Don does not have structure to achieve his governorship ambition, Adeola said "My principal is in contact with stakeholders across the state."

“Prof. Eleka is not a noisy man who displays his political permutations to the world. Of course he has his strategies intact which other aspirants cannot match.

"Eleka’s candidacy is no doubt a threat to some power blocks who are of the opinion that the party will be returned to the grassroots if he wins at the poll. We have it in good authority that, PDP delegates across the state have concluded to take their destinies into their hands by entrusting power in a candidate who is more accessible and trustworthy.

“It is no more a news that Prof. Kolapo Olusola Eleka has gained momentum in the last few months, given the testimonies from respective stakeholders who are decision makers in the party, He said.”

While saying that against the rhetorics from Eleka’s opponents that he has stepped down for a candidate or will not pursue his divine call to serve good people of Ekiti state to a logical conclusion, he added that his boss remains an aspirant to beat in the forthcoming primary election.

Adeola further maintained that “People of unquestionable characters like Prof. Eleka are also welcome to the race since such is a constitutional right of every individual.

"As a party, we must be able to state clearly what we want and how to oust the current All Progressive Congress, APC in Ekiti given its poor performance in delivery of dividends of democracy.

“Prof. Eleka has a prepared developmental document and how to implement his policies for the state. His Shield Agenda is encompassing and timely to nip various challenges facing Ekiti in the bud.”

Appealing to respective delegates and stakeholders of PDP to put premium on competence, party loyalty and experience, he said Eleka is ready to serve the party and Ekiti people diligently.

Politics / Learn To Respond With Civility, Eleka Counsels Ekiti Technical Education Board by AishaYesufu: 7:38pm On May 18, 2021
The former Deputy Governor of Ekiti State, Prof. Kolapo Olusola Eleka, has admonished the State Chairman, Board of Technical and Vocational Education (BTVE), Hon. Kayode Babade, to be more civil in his approach to issues of state importance.

Reacting to a publication credited to Kayode Babade, where he allegedly called Prof. Eleka "a liar” on his claim that previous government renovated and constructed Government Technical College, Ado Ekiti to about 99% before Fayemi came on board, a media aide to the former Deputy Governor, Mr. Adebisi Adeola said Babade lacks "comprehension skill".

"I want to say without mincing word that such uncouth statement and ill-mannered approach is unbecoming of a man of his status, hence, same is unacceptable.

"The records are there for every interested and well- meaning people of Ekiti state to verify how far the previous government between 2014- 2018 invested hugely inTechnical and Vocational Education.

"Truth is, there was no ambiguity in what Prof. Kolapo Eleka said.

Against the fabricated figure of 99%, Eleka said all projects at Government Technical College, Ado Ekiti had reached over 90 % completion stage whereas the contractor had been paid 80% of the contract sum.

Adeola said: “Mr. Babade should made himself clearer about his assertion with facts and figures.

Adeola, who said Mr. Babade should know that government is a continuum, added that there was no substantive projects that could be mentioned in his response.

"It is worthy of note to reiterate that the previous Ayo Fayose-led administration, Prof. Kolapo Olusola Eleka and his team embarked on a vigorous campaign against examination malpractices in the education sector. Hard work and excellence were rewarded among teachers as a way of motivation for them. Best primary and secondary school teachers were awarded new cars. Best head teachers and best-performing schools were recognised and rewarded.

"These proactive measures resulted in history-making and record-breaking performance of Ekiti State candidates in these external examinations. Ekiti State came first in NECO SSCE all over the country in 2016 (96.48%); 2017 (85%) and 2018 (90.61%)."

"The performance in WAEC SSCE moved from the undesirable 29% in 2014 to as high as 71.83% in 2017. These are records that no one can deny.

"In addition, Ekiti State took the first position in the national YONSPA – Young Nigerian Scientist Presidential Award (Best Science Student), JETS Quiz competition, STAN Science Quiz competition, all in 2016," Adeola added.

The Spokesman however lamented that some of these good measures were jettisoned by the present administration in Ekiti State, hence the poor performance of Ekiti in different educational outings with neighboring states.

"This is a clear evidence of retrogression in the education sector under the current government of Fayemi," Adeola concluded.

Politics / Truth About FG's Involvement In Selecting New VC For University of Jos by AishaYesufu: 9:55am On May 12, 2021
Truth about Buhari’s Government’s involvement in selecting new Vice Chancellor for University of Jos

By Masara Kim

University of Jos students protest external interference in VC selection
There is currently an unprecedented political interest in the selection of a new Vice Chancellor for the University of Jos, as the current VC’s tenure elapses this June. This University has an interesting history of having been founded by a Southwestern University located over 800kms away, under the carefree watch of many Plateau neighbors.

What became the University of Jos was established in November 1971 from the satellite campus of the University of Ibadan. This was after the then Head of State, Yakubu Gowon failed in his bid for the creation of a satellite campus for Ahmadu Bello University Zaria in Jos.

The first students of the University were admitted in 1972 as pre-degree students and the first Bachelor of Arts degree program begun in October the 1973. By October 1975, the then military government under General Murtala Mohammed, with an indigene of Plateau, Joseph Gomwalk as Administrator of the State, established what is now called the University of Jos as an institution.

Classes began at the newly reorganized University of Jos in October 1976 with 575 students spreading over the existing four faculties of Arts and Social Sciences, Education, Natural Sciences and Medical Sciences. Post-graduate programs were added one year after. By 1978, Faculties of Law and Environmental Sciences were established and the Faculties of Arts and Social Sciences were separated.

Less than 50 years later, the University has expanded to over 15 faculties with over 14,000 students, operating in three campuses, producing some of the world’s leading Professionals. Little wonder, some two decades ago, the Carnegie Corporation of New York gave Unijos a $2 million grant to upscale its operations. Dozens of related interventions have also come to the institution, making it a favourite destination for many who desire quality University education.

However, determined to truncate this massive progress, including an unprecedented infrastructural growth currently ongoing in the University, individuals with yet to be determined motives increasingly create obstacles, mostly with grave implications for peace.

In 2020, precisely April, the House of Representatives Committee on Federal Character accused management of the university of violating Federal Character policy on employment and admission. But aside from denying the University the right to fair hearing, the committee ignored Federal University, Dutsinma in Katsina State, where the Chairman of the House Committee on Federal Character, Abubakar Kusada comes from, which has its Vice-Chancellor, Registrar and Librarian all from Katsina State.

Similarly, in Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, Kaduna State, where Honourable Samaila Suleiman, the lead accuser of Unijos management comes from, the immediate past Vice-Chancellor, the DVC Admin, the Bursar and the Librarian were all from Kano State. Meanwhile in University of Jos where the Committee for whatever reasons refused to acknowledge that aside from the Vice Chancellor and Registrar, all other principal officers are from different regions, reflecting the needed Federal Character. Interestingly, the University has also had dozens of Vice Chancellors from other States and has trained all categories of people, including foreigners.

While it is clear that the University’s antagonists failed in their attempt to distract management and/or push for their removal from office, likely to institute their own persons of interest and achieve their hidden goals, last February’s passing away of the Chairman of the University’s Governing Board, Prince Tony Momoh appears to have created a perfect opportunity to resume their schemes.

Prince Momoh initiated the process for the selection of a new Vice Chancellor , six months to the expiration of the current VC’s tenure, via an advert on 23rd December, 2020, to be concluded in April 2021 before the expiration of the Council’s tenure in May 2021. Precedent to this was the constitution of a Search Team.

The Governing Council first met and took the report of the Search Team, after which Council elected her own representatives on the Selection Board (Interview Panel). This was followed by a Senate Emergency Meeting which elected two members of the Selection Board. The Selection Board met and shortlisted candidates from the list of applicants and scheduled an interview for 20th – 22nd April. All these were done in compliance with the Universities Act. Council proposed a meeting to take the report of the Selection Board for Friday 23rd April where a VC would emerge.

However, the entire selection process was abruptly disrupted and the Council Members summoned by the Executive Secretary of the National Universities Commission (NUC) on 22nd April 2021, contrary to the powers and functions of the Commission.

Part of the claims being publicized for this action is the supposed absence of a substantive Chairman of Governing Council. But the University of Jos Act Cap U8 LFN 2004, Third Schedule, Article 1(7) states, “if the Pro-Chancellor is not present at a meeting of the Council, such other member of the Council present at the meeting as the Council may appoint as respects that meeting shall be the Chairman at that meeting, and subject to Sec 4 of the Act and the foregoing provisions of this paragraph, the Council may regulate its own procedure.”

The University of Jos Governing Council Standing Orders Article 9 further supports stating that, “if the Chairman is not present at a meeting of the Council, such other members of the Council present at the meeting as the Council may appoint in respect of that meeting shall be the Chairman at that meeting.”

In compliance with the above provisions, which are recognized by the University Autonomy Act, subsisting Council Members through due process elected Dr. (Mrs.) Philomena Mutbam to preside over the Governing Council’s meetings. Dr. Philomena Mutbam as acting Chairman of the Governor Council superintendended over all Official duties with respect to the Office of the Pro-chancellor or Chairman of Council without objection from any authority. Such functions include approval of promotions, Finance and General Purpose Meetings including procurements which were all accepted by the Supervising Federal Ministry of Education.

Unless Nigeria is an animal kingdom where some animals are more equal than others, in University of Benin, a former Chairman of Governing Council once resigned and contested an election without being replaced. Council members of the same University sat and elected an acting Chairman who presided over a process that saw to the emergence of the present Vice-Chancellor, Professor Lilian Salami.

There was no interference from the NUC or any other body. The NUC by the way, was established to carry out regulatory, supervisory and accreditation roles only. One wonders where the body got its powers to suspend a legitimate process.

The NUC Act (1974) specifies the functions of the NUC to include: advising the President and State Governors, through the Minister, on the creation of new universities and other degree-awarding institutions in Nigeria; preparing, after consultation with the State Governments, the universities, the national manpower Board and such other bodies as it considers appropriate, periodic (physical) master plans for the balanced and co-coordinated (infrastructural) development of all universities in Nigeria; laying down Minimum Academic Standards in the Federal Republic of Nigeria and accrediting their degrees and other academic awards.

The NUC is also empowered to ensure that quality is maintained within the academic programmes of the Nigerian University System. It might carry out other investigations as provided in the Act, on any other matter relating to “Higher Education” (academic affairs), but not Administrative structures.

According to the Universities (Miscellaneous Provisions) Amendment) Act 2003 Section (1), “The Governing Council of a university shall be free in the discharge of its functions and exercise of its responsibilities for the good management, growth and development of the university.” These functions and responsibilities according to the Act include the appointment and/or removal of a Vice Chancellor in accordance with the Act. Not even the President has powers to appoint or sack a Vice Chancellor except through the Governing Board.

However, in the case of University of Jos, not even a Minister, but a Head of an agency is stripping a constitutional Governing Board of its powers and independence, making it useless. By this act, the NUC boss has taken upon himself the fate of an entire University and by extension, the future of the over 14,000 students currently undergoing different programs therein. This is because by suspending the VC selection process a day to the final step of its last duties before its tenure expires, the NUC has created a vacuum that might take half a year to fill.

The Universities Act allows the appointment of an Acting Vice Chancellor to serve for six months in the case of the removal or expiration of tenure of an incumbent. The present UJ VC’s tenure expires in June, but the University’s Governing Board’s tenure expired last weekend. This ultimately means taking another series of months to constitute a new council, which might take another several months to start sitting and eventually complete process for the selection of a new Vice Chancellor.

By implication, the next student results and convocation might be delayed, likewise other Administrative duties that require substantive Officers. In addition, candidates vying for the Vice Chancellor position who might have been cleared might be caught up by age limit and ultimately disenfranchised.

This appears to be the exact plot of the University’s enemies – to disrupt smooth running of its affairs and bring in their own interests. Whether academic or political, this interest is already showing signs of disrupting peace in Plateau State.

Already, protests have started manifesting, which if not quickly addressed through adopting the right practices in the appointment of the VC might snowball into full-blown conflicts. Findings already suggest brewing agitations amongst indigenous youths who might stage violent reactions if the ongoing illegality continues.

But what do merchants of war care as long as it creates room for them to ship their interests into the State, which has been a key target since the 70s when the famous Mohammed Marwa aka Maitasine began his violent uprisings?

Governor Simon Lalong of Plateau State who is also Chairman of the Northern Governors Forum has a huge work to do here. He is reputed as a peace builder and should deploy that integrity to avert a huge disaster for the State and nation, because whatever affects Plateau affects everyone in it, including foreign Nationals.

President Muhammadu Buhari who is the Visitor of the University also needs to act before his selfish lieutenants bring his name to disrepute. Buhari was GOC 3rd Armoured Division Jos before he became Head of State in 1983. He is aware of the conflict dynamics of Plateau, particularly as it affects University of Jos, which has long been encroached upon, causing security threats to students.

People of goodwill, Nigerians at home and in the diaspora should also intervene through all legal means to see that this impending crisis is averted. This is because if it succeeds in Plateau, there is no guarantee it will not be replicated elsewhere.

Prof. Attahiru Jega, a reputed scholar and former Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has been appointed as the University’s new Pro-chancellor/Governing Board Chairman. A perfect choice at a perfect time. Jega did extremely well while holding similar position in Plateau State University Bokkos. However, one of the contestants for the Vice Chancellor position is from same state with him, which somewhat disqualifies him from presiding over the selection process.

According to the Code of Conduct for Nigerian Judicial Officers, a Judicial Officer should disqualify himself in a proceeding in which his impartiality might reasonably be questioned, including but not limited to:

(a) he has personal bias or prejudice concerning a party or personal knowledge of facts in dispute;
(b) he served as a legal practitioner in the matter in controversy, or a legal practitioner concerning with whom he previously practiced law served during such association as a legal practitioner concerning the matter or the judicial Officer or such legal practitioner has been a material witness in the matter;
(c) he knows that he individually or as a judicial Officer or his spouse or child has a financial or any other interest that could be substantially affected by the outcome of the proceeding;
(d) he or his spouse or a person related to either of them or the spouse of such person
(i) is a party to the proceedings, or an officer, director or trustee of a party
(ii) is acting as a legal practitioner in the proceedings
(iii) is known by the judicial Officer to have an interest which could be substantially affected by the outcome of the proceedings.

Nigerians are keenly watching to see how this matter goes – whether the concerned parties will tow the path of honor and withdraw their steps or damn the consequences, posing even greater danger to Nigeria’s peace, unity and progress.

Politics / University Of Jos; Power, Politics And Intimidation In The Selection Process by AishaYesufu: 9:41am On May 12, 2021
The selection of a New Principal Academic and administrative Officer for the Prestigious University of Jos, Plateau State which could have been concluded in April, 2021 in line with the intention of the Joint Council and Senate Selection Board is still lingering without any definite position.

The transparent process of selection started on 23rd December, 2020 through an advert by the Chairman of the Council, a process which was expected to be completed in April, 2021.

This is to select a substantive Vice-Chancellor before the expiration of the tenure of the Council on the 8th of May, 2021 as well as ensure that vacancy does not exist as the tenure of the incumbent Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Sebastine Seddi Maimako comes to an end on 23rd June, 2021.

The Council after the advertisement for the position of the Vice-Chancellor took another bold and honest step of constituting a Search Team with the mandate was to search for an eligible candidate for the post of the Vice Chancellor of the Institution.

The then Chairman of the Council and Pro-Chancellor of the University, Prince Tony Momoh died in February, 2021 while the processes were ongoing which led to the emergence of Dr. (Mrs.) Philomena Mutbam who was duly elected by the subsisting Council Members to preside over the Governing Council's meeting for the day in full compliance with the provision of the University of Jos Act Cap U8 LFN 2004, Third Schedule, Article 1(7) which states that, "if the Pro-Chancellor is not present at a meeting of the Council, such other Member of the Council present at the meeting as the Council may appoint as respects that meeting shall be the Chairman at that meeting, and subject to Section 4 of the Act and the forgoing provision of this paragraph, the Council may regulate its own procedure."

The University of Jos Governing Council Standing Order Article 9 Further supports the above stating that, "if the Chairman is not present at the meeting as the Council may appoint as respects that meeting shall be the Chairman of that meeting."

Going by an investigation, Council had met and taken the Search Team report and also went further to elect those to represent it on the Selection Board.
The Senate also elected two Members of the Selection Board in an emergency meeting it held.

It was also gathered that the Selection Board swung into action and had commenced work in earnest to ensure a Substantive Vice-Chancellor is selected. This could be seen when it met and shortlisted Candidates from those who applied for the position.

On continuation of the process, the Selection Board had scheduled an interview for 20th to 22nd April, 2021 and the Council Meeting to receive report of the Selection Board on Friday 23rd April, 2021 which will culminate in the emergence of a substantive Vice-Chancellor.

As the process congressed, a letter dated 16th April, 2021 addressed to the Members of the Council emanated from the Registrar of the University, Mr. Monday M. Danjem who doubles as the Secretary of the Council with the title "Suspension of the Processes for the Appointment of a New Vice-Chancellor for the University of Jos" which was a directive from the Executive Secretary of the National Universities Commission (NUC), Prof. Abubakar Abdulrasheed.

Interestingly, Dr. Philomena Mutbam who was the acting Chairman of the Governing Council following her election by Members carried out activities of such office such as approval of promotions, Finance & General Purpose Meetings, procurements etc which were never considered illegal by the Supervising Ministry (Federal Ministry of Education).

The stalling of the almost concluded selection processes came with mixed reactions and feelings that there is undue interference and influence which has undermined the work of the Selection Board.

What is more disturbing is the fact that the directive by the Executive Secretary NUC to Members of the Council to discontinue the selection processes which had gone deep into its conclusion.

Except for such directive, the selection of a substantive Vice-Chancellor for the University will have been completed and announced.

The Executive Secretary of NUC reserves no power to direct the suspension of the selection process and cannot interfere on same.

The NUC which was established in 1974 has the mandates to carry out regulatory, supervisory and accreditation roles only. These roles do not include Administrative supervision.

It might carry out other investigations as provided in the Act, on any other matter relating to "Higher Education" (academic affairs), but not Administrative structures.

According to the Universities (Miscellaneous Provisions) Amendment) Act 2003 Section (1), "The Governing Council of a university shall be free in the discharge of its functions and exercise of its responsibilities for the good management, growth and development of the university." These functions and responsibilities according to the Act include the appointment and/or removal of a Vice Chancellor in accordance with the Act. Not even the President has powers to appoint or sack a Vice Chancellor except through the Governing Board.

But as we speak, the tenure of the Governing Council elapsed on the 8th of May, 2021 and in the wake of the suspension of the selection processes, a New Pro-Chancellor was appointed for the University in person of Prof. Attahiru Jega.

While no one is casting aspersion on the competence and/or person of Prof. Jega who has a track record of integrity and probity in addition to being the immediate past Pro-Chancellor of the Plateau State University Bokkos, many see his emergence as ploy to enthrone the candidate of the power that be.

The question now us who are the people to complete the stalled selection processes since the tenure of the Governing Council has expired?

Are they trying to start the processes all over from the scratch or will they call back the Dr. Philomena Mutbam-led Selection Board to complete what it had started earlier so the University will have a substantive Vice-Chancellor before the expiration of the tenure of the present Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Sebastine Seddi Maimako on 23rd June, 2021?

In all honesty, can Prof. Jega preside over this selection process where his Brother is one of the 13 Candidates vying for this Office without bias? As in the celebrated case of Justice Zainab Adamu Bulkachuwa JSC as she then was, where she recused herself from the 2019 Presidential Election Tribunal due to the APC Membership of her husband.

Why are other persons having interest on what should have been a seamless and transparent selection ritual?

Worthy of note is the contradiction where a similar process in the University of Benin when the Chairman of the Council resigned to contest an election in 2019. Other members of Council met and elected an acting Chairman who all through the remaining selection process presided over the process that saw the emergence of the current Vice-Chancellor of that Institution, Prof. Lilian Salami without any form of acrimony and was endorsed by the supervising Ministry while that of of University of Jos was considered an aberration and the process halted.

This is quite appalling and ridiculous as well as a display of impunity and total abuse of the extant Laws of the University of Jos since the processes had already started and reached advanced stage.

It is disheartening to start the process afresh or where applicants who hitherto were not part of the process to be included while others are barred due to age or other circumstances due to the elongation of the process or to favor someone who wouldn't had made it to the choice of the Selection Board if it allowed to continue unabated.

This show of shame as displayed by NUC has the propensity of truncating the fragile peace in the State as the bubble of rage may burst puncturing the hard earned peace being enjoyed in the State at the moment.

There is need for all patriotic Nigerians to rise up and challenge anything short of a transparent selection process.
Anything short of what the Selection Board was doing will mar the integrity and jeopardize the processes which may affect the choice of a more credible, competent and visionary Academic and Administrative Head for the University.

It will be good if due process which has started is adhered and external influence discarded to give our educational system the best hand to manage both the human and material resources for a more prosperous and productive Nation.

It is now the duty of the Minister of Education to ensure that the selection process for the emergence of a New Vice Chancellor is completed.

From interactions with various youth groups and opinion leaders in the State, anything short of due process in the selection of a New Vice-Chancellor for the University will be vehemently resisted and may throw the peaceful academic transition in the University into jeopardy as was seen in the last peaceful protest.

Politics / Yoruba Assembly Condemns Igboho's Comment On The Demise Of Pastor Adeboye's Son by AishaYesufu: 8:11am On May 10, 2021
YORUBA YOUTH ASSEMBLY CONDEMNS IGBOHO'S COMMENT ON THE DEMISE OF PASTOR ADEBOYE'S SON: WARNS AGAINST OVERBLOATED MESSIAH COMPLEX AND DEMANDS IMMEDIATE WITHDRAWAL OF STATEMENT.

The Yoruba Youth Assembly (YYA), a renowned Pan-Yoruba Youth Organization comprising of thousands of young Yoruba sons and daughters both in Nigeria and the Diaspora has condemned the Self-styled Yoruba Nation Activist and Freedom Fighter, Sunday Adeyemo (aka Sunday Igboho) for mocking and placing curses on the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, following the death of his third son, Pastor Dare Adeboye, who passed on Wednesday, May 5, in Eket, Akwa-Ibom State.

Speaking with journalists earlier today, the National President of the body, Mr Olarinde Thomas and the National Secretary, Mr Deji Oso - Dejavu (Opomulero) have jointly condemned the recent statement of Egbon Sunday Adeyemo and stated that they had not been able to find any possible connection between the death of Pastor Adeboye's son and the agitation for the creation of the Yoruba nation.

"To us, even if Sunday Igboho feels Pastor Adeboye has not shown sufficient commitment to the Yoruba Agenda or the Crusade against the invasion of the Yoruba lands by the Fulani-herders, what justification does he have to verbally abuse or make a sad mockery of such a prominent and bereaved Yoruba Leader and Pastor like Baba Enoch Adeboye who has just lost his son?"

"Secondly, what right does he have to place curses and utter profanities on other sons & daughters of Yoruba? Besides, since Egbon Sunday now derives so much pleasure in the death and anguish of another fellow Yoruba, we want to ask, in what way is he different from the intrusive Fulani-herders that he is allegedly fighting?", they asked.

Stressing further, Olarinde and Oso maintained that Sunday Igboho should seek caution against his recent public statements and derogatory remarks, which entirely contradict our Yoruba cultural values, predicated on omoluabi humanism. Importantly, they noted that is not just an abominable act, but also an intolerable defilement of sacred values to mock the dead in Yorubaland, describing the statement of Sunday Igboho as sacrilegious and impudent.

In their words, "Egbon Sunday seems to be basking in the euphoria of being called the Messiah of the Yorubas, whereas, he is not. Or what type of a Saviour will mock or seek the death of his people?"

They however warned Sunday Igboho not to forget the events that led to the fall of Afonja in the hands of Alimi just because he undermined his people, due to the same Messiah Complex and I-am-untouchable mentality of a self-imposed Yoruba Generalissimo, stating that no man is invincible except he who has the sincere love, backing and protection of God Almighty and his people.

"We hereby call on all our traditional leaders, particularly, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi (Ojaja II) - the Ooni of Ife; Oba Lamidi Adeyemi - the Alaafin of Oyo; Aare Afe Babalola; Chief Gani Adam - Aare Onokakanfo and all other loving leaders of Yorubaland to please join us in correcting and cautioning Egbon Sunday Adeyemo against his ignominious debasement and ridiculous statements against our respectable and prominent Yoruba leaders, going forward. We demand that Egbon Sunday should withdraw his statement against Pastor Enoch Adeboye and tender a public apology to that effect in the interest of peace and harmony, or face further lawful reactions.

Signed:

Hon. Olarinde Thomas (National President )

Politics / Ekiti 2022: Fayose Has Never Changed From Being A Businessman by AishaYesufu: 12:19pm On May 06, 2021
Let me state clearly that I have nothing against former Governor Ayo Fayose personally. I am indifferent to whatever he does with his party and the members. Aja kan ki gbona titi ko so ojule meji ni Yoruba wii. I stopped being a member of the PDP because I couldn't tolerate being in the same party with him at the steering wheel. So I expect nothing good from his Nazareth.

But I must confess that the man is a shrewd character. Whatever we have to say about him, he has native intelligence which more than make up for his perceived lack of grand academic certifications.

Fayose is a business man. And he does not pretend to have any scruples about it. He uses everybody who is readily available to feather his nest. And he gives you no guarantees over anything. He is his own first and only interest. If you want to deal with him and make any gains, you must forcefully take your payment - in whatever form it would be- upfront before lifting a finger for him.

Isn't it ironic that Afolabi Akanni was denied the PDP House of Assembly ticket for Efon constituency in 2007 because he was linkable - note that i deliberately did not use the word linked- to Fayose. Bisi Kolawole wad the beneficiary. Akanni later went to the House as Fayose's man in 2015. He was the famous DSS captive. Now he is in another camp while Kolawole is in Fayose's camp.

I am not surprised that Fayose is backing Bisi Kolawole now. It is a very sound political/economic decision.

Look at it this way:

1. Before anybody comes out and says I want to be governor, he/she would have had a couple of ideas to pursue in the office. So, there is pre-conceived notions that may not be in agreement with the godfather's own. But for somebody who had no such ambition, he/she simply follows the path laid by the godfather. Quite logical.

2. Bisi Kolawole I suspect does not have the network to raise the kind if funds needed for a governorship election, so he would be totally dependent on the godfather and would happily do as instructed.

3. Bisi Kolawole would have been torn between his friendship and loyalties to Fayose and Segun Oni on who to follow ordinarily. That decision has been automatically made for him. Nobody likes his friend more than himself.

4. Anything can still happen with Fayose. The election is still about 14 months away. Some people on this platform can testify to that from very personal experiences.

I Will Leave No Stone Unturned To Better The Life Of My People, Rt. Hon. Momoh Jimoh Lawal

5 May, 2021

A Peoples Democratic Party, PDP chieftain and former speaker of kogi state house of assembly, Rt. Hon. MJ Lawal who represented the good people of Okene II state constituency in the state assembly has once again intervened in the poor state of educational infrastructure in kogi central.

Hon. Momoh Jimoh Lawal is a well grounded grassroots mobilizer of the PDP in kogi state and he is known for his philanthropy across the senatorial district. Recently, some students of Government Day Secondary School, Iruvucheba had approached him to solicit for his support to help renovate a classroom to enable the WAEC candidates sit for their exams giving the dilapidated and poor conditions of their classrooms.

The kogi central political icon after receiving the call took it up on himself to erect four (4) blocks of classrooms and two (2) office buildings to enable the students sit for their examinations.

In a quiet ceremony, Rt. Hon. MJ Lawal handed over the newly completed buildings to the principal of the school, Mall. Ohiare J.Z

While speaking at the handing over ceremony, Hon. MJ Lawal noted that education is the bedrock of any society seeking the path of progress and development. He equally stated that he’d never leave any stone unturned to see that he better the life of his people especially in the areas of education and empowerment.

Recall that some months ago, Hon. MJ Lawal had built, commissioned and handed over some block of classrooms and learning materials to Lennon memorial college, Ageva.

For the political icon, RT. Hon. MJ Lawal, giving back to the society is a mandate he can never go against.

Ekiti Guber Race: Fayose Must Be Called To Order Over His Show Of Shame, Rascality, Eleka's Aide Urges Secondus

An aide to Professor Olusola Eleka, the former Deputy Governor and PDP candidate in the 2018 governorship election, Mr. Adebisi Adeola, has called on the National Working Committee, especially National Chairman of People's Democratic Party, Prince Uche Secondus, to call former governor, Mr. Ayodele Fayose, to order for his uncouth statement and bullying behavior.

Mr. Adeola, who was reacting to a personal attack and show of rascality by both Fayose and his brother, Isaac Fayose on his principal, Eleka, added that the former governor is majorly preoccupied with his selfish interest above the general interest of the party and Ekiti State.

Reacting to a video and audio that went viral on social media where Fayose and his brother rained abusive and derogatory words on governorship aspirants that refused to step down for his anointed candidate, Chief Bisi Kolawole, Adeola said the only problem PDP is facing today in Ekiti is Fayose's shenanigans to pocket the party to his own benefit, not minding its future.

Adeola said: "There is no doubt in the fact that APC has failed in Ekiti. But we know that the only opportunity left for PDP to oust APC misrule in 2022 is for all leaders of the party to unite against APC, our common enemy rather than unnecessary bickering to no avail"

Condemning Isaac Fayose for his threatening message and derogatory words on his principal, Adeola said Fayose's style of bullying people will not see the light of the day in the next guber primaries and general election come 2022.

"I call on PDP stakeholders to take their destinies into their hands"

"Prof. Eleka is entitled to his opinion and aspiration to contest election as a qualified son of Ekiti. It is within his purview to step down for any aspirant or pursue his mission.

"PDP belongs to all of us and the party is not Fayose's property or the wishy-washy followers to do hatchet job of the opposition.

The height of this is, Mr Fayose has been putting calls through to a number of loyalists of Professor Eleka and raining curses on them to withdraw their support which had been rebuffed.

" I want to believe this is an ugly development which indicates the ex governor is being too desperate and selfish about the forthcoming election," Adeola added.

He, however, called Southwest leadership of PDP and Secondus led-NWC to rescue the party from untimely collapse, adding that "all hands must be on deck to win election in 2022."

Politics / Re: Ekiti 2022 From The Prism Of Opposition Party, PDP By Rt. Hon Dapo Karounwi by AishaYesufu: 4:49pm On May 02, 2021
It does not amaze seeing Rt.Hon Dapo Karounwi writing again about the primary election of PDP in Ekiti State while his political party is in disarray.

Rt.Hon Oladapo Karounwi had been working, writing and giving support to Fayose/Bisi Kolawole since February last year when the main opposition party PDP had putting machineries and efforts in place for the party congresses.

One could have been wondering what could be so important to the spokesman of the ruling party in the southwest zone about Ekiti PDP but the answer is not far fetched. In paragraph 33 of his publication, during the celebration of his birthday on April 25th, 2021.

Karounwi who hailed from Ẹ̀fọ̀n-Aláayè with Chief Bisi Kolawole, described Bisi Kolawole as his "highly respected Egbon".

It's on note that he has been on payroll of the former governor of Ekiti State, Chief Ayodele Fayose since Karounwi started writing for him.

No wonder he jettisoned his obligations as the spokesman of All Progressives Congress, APC, and embarked on a mission that's fattening his bank account.

On no occasion as Sen. Biodun Olujimi ever declared to contest for governorship election and no one bogus our party for his personal benefits.

Instead of Rt.Hon Oladapo Karounwi to urge his party stakeholders to be proactive in the area of insecurity and to the governor of Ekiti State, to put every government apparatus in right places to secure the lives and properties of the Ekiti Indigenes.

On no occasion did Rt.Hon Oladapo Karounwi raised his voice to condemned the election violence in Omuo-Ekiti, orchestrated by the suspected thugs of his party, which takes lives of many.

He keep playing politics of bogus with sinister aims, getting himself richer and fattening his bank account.

I urge our party members, PDP, and the general public to do away with the sinister aims of Rt.Hon Karounwi and it's an advice for the ruling party APC, to look for a better intellectual that can give the party a good image even though, guns and cutlasses had replaced the broom in your party logo.

Crime / Allegation Of Sexual Harassment Levelled Against Me - Dr Samuel Omotoso by AishaYesufu: 6:15pm On Apr 30, 2021
1. Today, I heard that a petition has been submitted against me to the commissioner of police on claims on the above allegation.

2. In as much as this is not a court of law, the impending media blitz intended for the politically motivated APC razzmatazz necessitated this release.

3. I am not guilty of the framed allegation orchestrated by the principal of Christ Girls school Mrs Esan who we had a bad time together when i investigated her for inappropriate financial allegations when I was the Vice Chairman, house committee on Education at the 5th Ekiti State House of Assembly. The same woman can not hide her disdain for my actions on her in the house when we saw on Tuesday, 27th of April 2021 and everybody present was asking if we had known ourselves before and I said yes. This woman abducted a girl living with my wife from my house without the knowledge of my wife nor of the parents of the girl and kept her incommunicado for 4 days while grooming her for a predetermined end.

3. I am also prepared to prove my innocence even in the court of law as soon as it is safe for me to do so. Since I cannot understand the role of the Ekiti State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Wale Fapohunda, in the media plans by the State Govt to seriously ridicule me and politically molest me just because of my perceived political affiliation.

4. The said Mrs Esan, in an attempt to school the 15 year old living but who is disenchanted with my wife on house chores, has made the girl to say more than 12 stories within 3 days to the chagrin and embarrassment of the said girl's mother and blood brother who vehemently resisted the lies of their own blood. These include writing and rewriting of statements behind close doors with direct dictation to the girl by co-conspirators of the school principal. We have evidence.

The same lies that Mrs Esan tried to co-opt the girl's mother into and which the mother resisted vehemently, we have the mother on video on this.

5. This is a serious politically motivated criminal allegation against me, intended to gag and keep me out of circulation because of the incoming political fireworks in Ekiti State and by His Grace, I will face it and get out of it unscathed.

6. For records purposes, I have been alleged of killing Bunmi Ojo of blessed memory in 2018 by these same people, even when the death occurred while I was in far away America on a family holiday, and one boy in the neighbourhood called Joe, who i had helped to secure a job in road safety was tortured for months so as to implicate me but he held on until the last minute and refused to dance to such horrendous tune.

7. Just as if that was not enough, I was alleged by these same people in a blood thirsty petition and for the same political reasons as above of killing a colleague in the 5th Assembly, Hon Micheal Adedeji, who was later found of being killed by armed robbers who confessed to the crime. May his soul rest in peace.

All these are just to take me out politically by some people for political reasons of my affiliation with PDP and Gov Ayo Fayose.

8. When God saw me through all the onslaught and expensive rigors from the police, civil defence and DSS on the 2 murder allegations , my private Hospital, Pharmacy and Creche was invaded by EFCC Who Claimed to be acting on instructions from above and sealed up my property without due diligence, which caused me and my family untold hardships, financial losses and sorrows for doing nothing..

9. Since all the above are criminally based political persecutions and not based on personal offences or infractions, hence i will still not remove the meat from the latest criminal allegation against me and therefore I will stop citing further examples of many other political villications that I have suffered from the hands of these same people in Ekiti State. Like being sued and asked with Lere Olayinka to pay N3bn for a libel allegation that we know nothing about and which was eventually thrown out by the court. Etc.

Like being suspended from the House of Assembly in October 2018 for doing nothing and chased away illegally from finishing my term in office by the same people.

A case that we took to court and got judgement against the present State govt since Oct 2019 and up till now, the judgement has not being obeyed.

10. The same girl being used for the latest onslaught was confirmed on Thursday, the 29th of April 2021 by the vice principal of the same school in the presence of their family lawyer and 2 policemen, that she said nothing of such ever happened to her in my house as at March ending 2021 ( a month ago) when the vice principal interviewed her) until the chief strategist herein the principal Mrs Esan abducted her and took over and made the same girl to say more than 12 different stories within 3 days inclusive of molestation starting several years ago, from the same girl who told the VP 4 weeks ago that nothing like that ever happened to her in my house.

The principal while schooling the girl on what to say also promised the poor girl that she will automatically become Erelu Fayemi daughter if she stick to the allegations and all her troubles will end, a pronouncement she said many times in the presence of several people.

11. The girl was available for such get at me desire of some people because of her incessant disagreement with her parents and blood brothers on good behaviours and penchant for inappropriate behaviours with the opposite sex as claimed by her mother and blood brother in video and oral evidences, which my wife and I always condemn the girl for with serious disciplines, a regular scolding that the girl never liked us for and which made her to be looking for all opportunity to leave, which the Principal saw and jumped on to get at me. But she never knew the VP of the same school has correct and up to date voluntary information from the girl up to 4 weeks ago.

The pastor of my church directly opposite my house told me he has challenged the same girl on bad and salacious conducts with the security man of our church inclusive of another guy down the street. The pastor just advised me this last Monday at the bible study program to do something on the girl's behaviour before she put me and my wife in trouble. The pastor is alive.

The mother and blood brother of this same girl also confirmed on video and other evidences the horrible and salacious behaviours of this girl in beer parlours, keeping late nights with male friends, dancing to very loud musics anytime she visit them at home.

12. The whole evidence of these and others as stated above will be unveiled at the right time. The court is the last hope of a political yet uncompromising opposition member of another party like myself.

13. The name that I have built for many years is of immense seriousness to me and I will do everything to protect my name and i beseech you to join me in prayers for God to see me through the latest and never ending political webs concocted against me always by these same set of people.

Politics / Ekiti 2022: Angry Youths From Bisi Kolawole's LG Destroy His Campaign Posters, B by AishaYesufu: 11:29am On Apr 30, 2021
Some angry youths from the same home town of one of the gubernatorial aspirants in the forthcoming election in Ekiti, Bisi Kolawole, have taken to the street to protest against his candidacy and destroyed his posters and banners across the local government area.
This development, however, has shown that Kolawole is not popular in his town let alone of the state.

NewsBreakNG learnt from a reliable source that Kolawole, who is the current chairman of Peoples Democratic Party in the state, was reportedly dragged into the gubernatorial race by Chief Ayo Fayose, a former governor of the state, an action that didn’t go well within and outside the party structure in Ekiti state.

Since his adoption as Ekiti governorship race by Fayose, chieftains and other members of the party, including sympathisers, have openly rejected his candidacy, describing him as “unpopular and bad choice for the PDP.”
Recall that last week, some leaders of the party, including the Personal Assistant to Fayose, publicly rejected the nomination to serve as member of his campaign council.

Meanwhile, it has been observed that the Ekiti State Signage and Advertising Agency, EKSAA, has compounded the woes of Kolawole by pasting a “Post No Bill” notice at the venue of a proposed inauguration of Kolawole campaign.
It remains to be seen how Mr Kolawole and his campaign council will react as the inauguration is scheduled for Sunday, May 2nd.

This medium also learnt that the rejection by the youths drew the attention of the state government, in it’s magnanimity, to allow peace to reign by pasting ‘Post No Bill’

It was also learnt that youths were asked to make a payment of N1,500 for cap also, which they also refused to pay.

EKITI 2022: Media Manipulation Cannot Set Ikere Against Eleka, Aide Replies BKCO

A spokesman of the former Deputy Governor of Ekiti State, Mr. Adebisi Adeola, has called on the Bisi Kolawole's Campaign Organisation, BKCO, and its sponsors to desist from politics of calumny, adding that no amount of media manipulations can set Ikere against Prof. Kolapo Olusola Eleka.

Adeola reacted on the heels of the recent poorly-scripted charade from Bisi Kolawole's Campaign Organisation which called about 12 leaders in Ikere for a meeting in Lagos in H.E, Ayo Fayose's house and later intimidated them to support his adopted aspirant who doubles as PDP Chairman in Ekiti State few days ago.

He added that LG Chairman, Mr. Sunday Asebiomo, including all stakeholders in Ikere are solidly behind Prof. Eleka.

The media aide who said Prof. Eleka's widely acceptability across the state has put Bisi Kolawole's camp in a state of dilemma, confirmed that no amount of political gimmicks can reduce Eleka's popularity or box him aside from contesting the 2022 PDP governoship primary election.

"It is unfortunate that Bisi Kolawole's sponsor, who should be seen as a father of the party, is out to play a game which is tantamount to set people against other aspirants.

"We have been duly informed by the Youth Leader from Are/Araromi Ward, Mr. Sunday Oladunjoye who was gagged by Bisi Kolawole's sponsor to adopt his solely adopted candidate in Lagos that they were not briefed of the meeting before they got to Lagos," He said.

Adeola further stated: "It came as a shock after the meeting when Fayose gave us placards, indicating adoption of Hon. Bisi Kolawole.

"I can categorically tell you that Fayose manipulated us to adopt Bisi Kolawole. He gave us money after the meeting which some of us have remitted into the purse of the party in our respective wards.

"Prof. Kolapo Olusola Eleka is a man of virtue who commands respect from all the local governments in Ekiti. His aspiration cuts across all Ekiti, not Ikere alone.

"It will be disastrous for any Ikere indigene to go against Eleka who had been there for us in many ways," he added.

Adeola concluded that Prof. Kolapo Olusola will not be distracted with unproductive noise from Bisi Kolawole's camp, explaining that his boss is a candidate to beat in the forthcoming party primaries.
