What exactly do you intend to achieve? A woman doesn't give you attention, rather than take the honorable path by ignoring her, you elected to waste your time over what is unprofitable to you nor her simply because of your desperation for her attention.

Beside, you talk too much and boring

Politics / Eleka Calls For Love At Ramadan by AishaYesufu: 9:33am On Apr 15, 2021
April 14,2021

Former Ekiti Deputy Governor, Prof. Kolapo Olusola, has called for love and peaceful co-existence among the citizenry, during and after the Ramadan.

The professor of building made this known on Wednesday in a statement he personally signed.

Prof. Olusola said that the Ramadan period represented love, forgiveness, peaceful co-existence and the need to extend a helping hand to the less privileged in the society.

The Former Deputy Governor noted that Nigeria needs love and peaceful co-existence to strengthen and surmount all challenges confronting her as a nation.

According to him, “For any country to thrive, she needs love and peaceful co-existence to strengthen the social bond, and overcome any challenge confronting it as a nation. It is only when we allow love to grow in our hearts irrespective of religion, language and tribe barrier that we can collectively as a nation surmount any challenge confronting us”.

Admonishing Muslims to refrain from all selfish desires, Professor Eleka further stated that, "fasting during this period of Ramadan should not just consist of refraining from eating and drinking, but from every kind of selfish desires and wrong-doings. The fast is not merely of the body, but essentially that of the spirit as well”.

Prof. Olusola urged Muslim faithfuls across Nigeria to develop and strengthen the powers of self control, and attain nearness and closeness to God, so as to intensify the consciousness of God in our hearts, resulting in a higher spiritual experience and to continue to give to the less privileged, not at Ramadan alone but at all times.

Education / EKSG Wants To Punish EKSU To Its Grave- ASUU Chairman Alleges by AishaYesufu: 3:01pm On Apr 14, 2021
With the current posture of the Ekiti State government to the plights of the Ekiti State University, EKSU, early grave is inevitable for the school. This is according to the EKSU branch of Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), Dr. Kayode Arogundade.

In a press conference addressed on Wednesday in Ado Ekiti, Dr Arogundade alleged that “As at today, Ekiti State Government is only subventing EKSU by 50% of its monthly wage bills, without paying any considerable attention to capital grants and infrastructural developments.”

“This has led EKSU Administration to ingloriously indulge in financial infractions such as: Subversion of Tax Deductions to paying salaries, Diversion of Pension deductions to paying salaries and Fund diversion from various units of the University (Health Centre, ICT, Faculties and Directorates). By this, all these Units are left in absolute neglect and disarray.”

According to the ASUU chairman, the current administration under governor Kayode Fayemi has demonstrated absolute and unprecedented neglect for the University. “How can one explain that the University is State owned, yet, it cannot boast of any singular infrastructural facility put in place by the current State Government, since its inception in 2018?” Arogundade queried.

‘Despite various appeals made to eminent personalities in the State to help call the attention of Government to the survival of the University, it appears the current Governor of the State has defiantly made up his mind to punish EKSU to its grave. Ordinarily, it should not take the “brilliant and performing Governor” 3 years to defray the 5 months arrears of subventions being owed the University, when in actual fact, he had promised to do so within the first six months of assumption of office.”

“Why should we justifiably continue to trust a Government that could not honour its own agreements, signed on its behalf by the State House of Assembly with the Union?

“Despite all efforts by our Union to embrace the spirit of collective bargaining, neither the Governor, University Council nor EKSU Administration deemed it fit to see to how our plights could be bettered and ameliorated. Rather, it has been unkept promises, continuously and unendingly running for 3 years, as if the education of our citizens is of no priority to them.”

EKSU-ASUU chairman therefore calls on all stakeholders in the State to passionately appeal to all concerned in the EKSU project, in order to save it from total collapse.

All efforts to get the corporate affairs director of the University, Bode Olofinmuagun reactions to the issues proved abortive as he didn’t reply our SMS nor return our calls as at this press time.

Politics / SW PDP: Eleka Congratulates Arapaja, Hails Makinde, Fayose, Olafeso by AishaYesufu: 7:29pm On Apr 13, 2021
I congratulate Ambassador Taofeek Arapaja on his emergence as the South West Zonal Chairman of our great party, the People's Democratic Party (PDP), at the just concluded congress.

I urge him to lead us well and extend hands of fellowship to every member of our great party.

The journey of the congress has showed how democratic we are in PDP and how politics should be played - not with bile or animosity.

I also congratulate Chief Eddy Olafeso for his sportsmanship during and after the congress.

Also, our leader, the former Governor of Ekiti State, Ayo Fayose, has always been a winner and a winner he would remain. His pursuit to make PDP in South West return to its winning ways is contagious. I thank you boss! Together we will keep upholding the tenets of democracy.

To everybody in PDP, from our leader, H. E Governor Seyi Makinde, to all delegates and party members, congratulations for a peaceful and successful congress.

I must not fail to acknowledge Governor Seyi Makinde's pragmatic leadership, forthrightness and steadfastness during the build up to the congress and in the congress. This is worthy of emulation and a benchmark for party politics.

His calm disposition in the face of outside forces that wants to hijack our party is a testament to his love for the PDP and its victory at the poll. You have indeed boosted the morale of our party for unity and progress. Thank you very much, Sir.

However, I urge every one to continue to deepen democracy in Nigeria through our conduct and continue to show the people that we mean business and we have rejuvenated ourselves for victory at all levels of Government in Nigeria.

Let us shun bitterness and unite for collective victory against the All Progressive congress (APC).

PDP.... Power to the People !!!

SW PDP Congress Update: Ekiti, Ogun Delegates Dump Olafeso, Adeleke Boycotts Congress, Makinde Sues For Peace

Ahead of the southwest zonal congress that is scheduled for today, fact has emerged that all is not well with the camp a formed governor of Ekiti state, Ayo Fayose. This came following the decision by delegates from Ekiti and Ogun states to pledge loyalty to Ambassador Taofik Arapaja, a former Oyo state deputy governor and leading aspirant for Peoples' Democratic Party southwest chairmanship position at the party's congress scheduled for Monday.

The crack in the camp of Fayose emerged following complaints by delegates loyal to him over neglect, abandonment and negligence of their interest.

Trouble started when a group of delegates from Ekiti state within the camp of Fayose and led by a former house of representatives member, complained that monies promised to delegates for mobilization and feeding have not been paid to them since they arrived Osogbo, Osun state. The former federal legislator accused Fayose of deceiving them with bogus promises without fulfilling any. He lamented his ordeal and expressed regret for blindly following the former governor.

The legislator's complaint was echoed by other delegates present, from there, they decided to take their destinies to their hands.

Also, the PDP PDP chairman informed his Lagos and Ekiti counterparts of the decision of delegates from his state to deliver their votes to Ambassador Taofik Arapaja for the PDP zonal chairmanship election, as well as other candidates endorsed by the camp of Governor Seyi Makinde.

The Ogun state party chairman lamented that he cannot be opposition in his state and PDP. He decried the several polarisation of the party that made them lost 2019 election, and vowed that there will be surprises. He further accused Eddy Olafeso of deliberately furthering crises for his selfish agenda.

He and members of the oun executives are expected to formally make known their decision before commencement of the congress proper.

In another development, the camp of Senator Ademola Adeleke is in a state of confusion following the decision of the former senator to boycott the congress. Accordionist to party faithfuls, Adeleke is currently holidaying in the United States, and has failed to communicate with his supporters in the past 72 hours.

Meanwhile, Osogbo, where the party's congress is to hold, is relatively peaceful. Delegates are seen ready to vote in the interest of the unity of the party in the zone.

Governor Seyi Makinde, the Oyo state governor, has continued to sue for peace. He assured every stakeholders that the congress will be peaceful despite the schemes of those that don't wish anything good for the party.

The youths, under the banner of PDP Southwest Youths Ambassadors, made the statement through its chairman, comrade Oluwatoyin Damilare.

Politics / SW PDP Congress: Adeola Adewunmi Emerges Consensus Candidate by AishaYesufu: 11:20pm On Apr 11, 2021
Adeola Adewunmi Emerges Consensus Candidate For PDP Southwest Zonal Auditor As Others Pull Out

Barely few hours to the elective zonal congress of Peoples Democratic Party for southwest, Mr Adeola Adewunmi, an aspirant for the position of Zonal Auditor, has emerged the sole candidate for the office.

Adeola's emergence as the sole candidate comes after Dominic Adegbola and Balogun Ayuba stepped down their ambitions following a marathon meeting between party stakeholders and the three aspirants.

During the meeting, the trio of Adeola, Dominic and Balogun agreed not to rival each other for the sake of the unity of the party. They further agreed to support Mr Adeola due to his youthfulness, resourcefulness and commitment to carry everyone along when elected.

After the agreement was entered, one of the aspirants that stepped down informed his key campaign members to collapse his structures and consolidate into Adeola's structure.

Although Adegbola and Ayuba are yet to make their decision public, they have started notifying their supporters of the latest development.

By the action of Adegbola and Ayuba, the office of zonal auditor will be the only position that will only have sole candidate during the congress.

Meanwhile, the PDP southwest zonal congress is scheduled for Monday in Osogbo, Osun state, and is expected to have in attendance all stakeholders of the party and delegates in the zone.

"I am very happy to witness this event today and to see our young talents display their skills in a wonderful manner as this"

"Let me also add that parents, first of all, should take education of their wards seriously. They should not discourage them from exhibiting other skills of their interests as well. We are seeing this today and we are very happy about it," he said.

Reacting, the organizers and the parents of the players thanked Prof. Eleka for his kindness and interest in sponsoring U-13 team, a significant pointer to what he will do for Sport in Ekiti State if given the right opportunity to govern the state.

If you’re like this about small things, imagine how you would react to higher/bigger stuff? Do other people matter too?

You don’t even know what consists a home breaking attitude. You just use those words against any lady (coc0candy) who disagrees with you.

See, Anyone who is consistently selfish,100% of the time without consideration for the others in the family is the one who is breaking the home by himself or herself. It won’t be long before the other family members will resent them. It’s a no brainer. You don’t even have to think about it to see that it is true.
The husband is not a foolish man not to share with his children. OP denied him meat to ridicule and disrespect him because of his financial challenges.

Which one be privilege, make we hustle o make our children whey we bring come dis world follow us chop meat without seeing eating meat as a reward reserved fo being the father.......half kilo of meat for the whole week, e no go better for poverty and the rubbish whey e dey cause!
A man whose family eat half kilo of meat in a week is not a poor man by Nigeria's standard. Poverty rate in Nigeria is rising, many families are looking for means to feed and survive, meat/fish is not even their issues. While we are all encouraged to continue to work hard and smart, praying to God to crown our efforts, we must always remember to appreciate the little that comes into the family. As long as a man works/earns, he deserves to be appreciated and treated specially being the King and Leader of the family that he is. We pray for improvement of his finances (and everyone of us) but he must never be disrespected.

I even noticed that sysengr, the OP, is fond of bringing her family matters to the public. Her cravings for validation by strangers would see her appreciate clowns that insult her husband just to make her feel good. No sensible man deserves a woman that can't keep family matters within the four walls of her house.

It depends on the culture and the individual's upbringing. In Pacific Islands, the adults eat to their fill while the children subsist on scraps. I guess it's because adults contribute the most in physical labour hence need excess calories to fuel their day. In the modern world where most jobs are mental, parents are quick to forfeit portions to children. Why let the child suffer when food on a regular day is surplus? The children also have a lot of growing to do, denying them meals is not a smart move.
Was it everytime you ate meat/fish in your meals as a growing up child? Did it stop you from growth? Will denying the children meat/fish for a dinner or even multiple meals make them less of themselves and stunted? A man goes out to hustle and makes sacrifices, he comes home only to be denied parts of his privileges/reward.

And a responsible husband would make sure he gives his wife enough money to cook for his family so that he's not dragging a piece of meat with his children like one agbaya. We're talking about a piece of meat and I'll assume it's nothing big, hence he should be mature enough to allow his wife share it amongst the kids and even herself, while he eats none for the night. It's only for one night - he won't die. I can easily give away meat, fish and all the things I like to eat for someone else/other people to eat and have done so before, but I understand generosity and selflessness can be foreign to others.

What a silly and shallow mindset! Why won't you think it is easy to make money in Nigeria for you to say he should make more money to buy more meat when you aren't the primary provider in a family? No wonder Yahoo boys are using your destiny to hustle.

A man goes out to hustle, he takes care of children's education, he cares for shelter, he provides for feeding amongst other sacrifices, yet you want to deny him of his privileges simply because there was only a piece of meat left. Will the children be malnourished if they ate without meat? Will they be stricken with diseases if they were given minute portions or no meat at all? I pity men that marry your kind that comfortably dishonor them and display ingratitude towards their sacrifices. Rubbish
