Politics / EKSU Alumni Carpets Management, Fayemi Over Proscription Of Staff Unions by AishaYesufu: 12:31pm On Apr 25, 2021 |
...describes action as Terror Social Secretary of Ekiti State Chapter of Ekiti State University, EKSU Alumni, Mr. Adebisi Adeola has described the recent proscription of National Association of Academic Technologist (NAAT), Non-Academic Staff Unions (NASU), Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities (SSANU), and Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), as an act of terrorism by the management of the University by extension of Dr. Kayode Fayemi. The management had announced the proscription of all the labour unions upon their concerns and demands from Ekiti State Government. Adebisi, who condemned in strong term, the manners at which EKSU management goes above handling issues that bothers on academics and welfare of students and staffs since about two years ago, calls for urgent attention of critical stakeholders to salvage the reputation of the University and Academic session to avoid another set back. "The news came as a shock and blow on every right thinking products of the University. It has never happened in the history of Ekiti State University to have Labour Unions proscribed due to lawful agitations and infrastructural demands from state government and management". The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Eddy Olanipekun, and Council Chairman, Prof. Bamitale Omole who were once union leaders, have yet again shown flagrant to the ethics of Comradeship. One would have expected a smooth and strong chemistry between the management and leaders of Labour Unions, given the uniqueness in their ideologies. It is on record that EKSU Governing Council, on the instruction of Dr. Kayode Fayemi, ordered the sack of over 1000 staffs of the University who were duly employed and promoted in 2019. "Some of these staffs were employed for accreditation of various Departments in 2016". Peaceful protest is a fundamental right of every individual, which should not be seen as bad omen in a democratic setting. The Labour Unions are not surrogates under the state government or management, they are independent bodies that protect and promote the interest of their members. Fayemi and his toothless bulldogs should be told that any further closure of the University after the unavoidably COVID-19 pandemic that led to the lockdown of the all Universities, will not only jeopardize the future of EKSU students, but the entirety of the system. It is important to note that, the unions, most especially the ASUU only gave 4 weeks ultimatum which lapsed on 22nd of April, for management to address salient issues and demands and yet to commence any industrial strike against the position of the Management. When did agitation become a crime? Government they say is a continuum, it is on record that Governor Fayemi owed the University 3 months subvention before he left in 2014, while his successor, added 2 months, making 5 months in 2018. Apart from the aforementioned, the management and Fayemi are yet to respond to; 1. Non-payment of 3 months' Salary arrears, earned allowances and cooperative deductions for Non-Academic Staffs, 2. 6 years arrears of earned Academic allowances; 3. 26 months of unremitted pension deductions and; 4. 14 months arrears of half salaries. Instead of peaceful dialogue between the worring Union Leaders, management and Ekiti state government, the management swiftly, and childishly proscribed the unions. Calling on other sister Associations, EKSU Alumni and Student Union governmet to defend the institution from impeding collapse, Adebisi said the management can reciprocate the terror on them if they fail to lend their voices.

If I have reason(s) to believe that she has involved in extramarital affair... Or if I suspect that she involves in (or has involved in) extramarital affair. I'll resume eating her food if she is proven innocent beyond any reasonable doubt. However if her guilt is established, I won't only reject her food, I'll equally reject her by sending her away without any option of accepting back. 4 Likes |

If she has truly repented she would have told the guy her former lifestyle by herself and allow the guy decide whether or not to proceed, rather than hide it and pretend like all is well. Politics / Ekiti 2022: PDP Youths Intensify Mobilisation For Southern Agenda by AishaYesufu: 11:27am On Apr 19, 2021 |
It's no longer an hidden agenda as the agitations for the south Senatorial district of Ekiti State to produce the next governor of the state. A group known to be "Ekiti South Development Agenda" led by Com. Idowu Afuye had been working assiduously with all the stakeholders across the party lines to make sure a southerner emerged as the governor of Ekiti State in the next governorship election of the state by year 2022. As the momentum is gathering towards the 2022 guber poll in Ekiti State, a group of PDP youth across the 6 local governments that made up Ekiti South Senatorial District, a constituency been represented by Sen. Biodun Olujimi since 2015 at the Red Chamber Nigerian Senate had come up with a name "Ekiti South Agenda youth movement wing" to mobilize, root and make a political plan for a southerner towards the next guber poll. In a statement released by the group, received by Ojaomonews.com. "it's high time we fight against the marginalization of the South, the southerners paid their dues before, during and after the creation of Ekiti State. It's worrisome and very absurd to have been playing the southerners to the corner when it's time to enjoy what we all fought for. Late Olowoporoku was played out despite of his efforts to make Ekiti State real, Fmr deputy Governor of Ekiti State, Prof kolapo Olusola Eleka was also dribbled and the south was rigged out. At this moment, we're not taking it with levity hands. Ekiti South Senatorial District is the most populous district in Ekiti State with six local governments area while others only have five. We're tired of marginalization, shortchanging and rubbing". The secretary of the group Com. Tamale Augustine who made the statement available for Ojaomonews.com in Ikere-Ekiti today, April 18, 2021. Said, the group had mobilized 50 youths in each local government of the Senatorial within two weeks, very soon we're visiting every tertiary institutions across the state for sensitization, we're visiting every public places in the Senatorial district and our flyers will be in all the streets of Ekiti State soon, he added

Politics / Re: Ekiti 2022 And Pdp South-west Congress By Omotoso Okeya by AishaYesufu: 11:01pm On Apr 17, 2021 |
RE: EKITI 2022 AND PDP SOUTH-WEST CONGRESS BY OMOTOSO OKEYA: STULTIFYING A PSEUDO-INTELLECTUAL AND SELF-SEEKING CHARLATAN Having gone through the repulsive and disjointed dispatch from Mr Omotoso Okeya, being a rejoinder to his recent public infamy, one must ask Mr Okeya on whose charge is he gallivanting and to achieve what? I think commonsense suggests that in every election or contest involving two or more aspirants, a winner must emerge. That Mr Okeya, going by his article, is acting contrary to the logic of commonsense is shameful and worrisome! One would have expected Okeya as a journalist to objectively document the chronicle of the just concluded Southwest Congress but as expected, his chicken has come home to roost again, with his insipid article conjured based on his outlandish self-seeking assumptions that are characterised by fallacies of mischievous generalizations; perhaps to score petty points on the instruction of one governorship aspirant in Ekiti, thereby, zooming on Prof. Kolapo Olusola who is being perceived to be a threat to the camp of Okeya's sponsor. Away from the rhetoric of the Southwest Congress, regardless of how trivial the vote difference was, a victor has emerged and one million Okeya and his sponsors cannot do anything to alter this fact, other than this parody of lamentation. What a shame! It is within the prerogative of the newly elected Chairman, Ambassador Arapaja to be magnanimous in victory for the common interest of the party by embracing all the divides. Besides, Dr. Eddy Olafeso has even congratulated the winner. Can someone ask Okeya why he is being begrudged and more miserable than the bereaved?! In your incompetent article, you claimed that 85% of Ekiti state delegates voted for Dr Eddy Olafeso right? If I may ask, how did you generate your accidental figures? Well, the reality of the election is contrary. I employ you and those who fed you with the figure falsification and fallacies to continue to bask in the euphoria of your collective self-deceit. In politics, there are many deciding factors that will come into play before the parties primary election. They are in layers which gladiators in the political arena understand perfectly well. I may not wish to delve into some of these variables now; maybe later. However, Mr. Okeya foolishly and ignorantly fails to realise that the number of delegates who voted at South West Zonal Congress are infinitesimal in number, compare to the larger picture in the primary election. How can Okeya base his analysis of 115 delegates at the Zonal Congress to determine over 2000 delegates who will decide who will fly the party's ticket in 2022 governoship election? Okeya has shown in his confusing write-up that he is bereft of what is obtainable in Ekiti of today. Is Okeya not in Ekiti when statutory delegates from Emure, Ikere and some Local Governments told Fayose to his face they cannot support Bisi Kolawole who never showed interest to contest? Mr Okeya should be bold enough to campaign for his candidate and stop his politics of blackmail against other aspirants through his memedom. The frustrated journalist should be guided about the ethic and ethos of politics and journalism in the 21st century. Politics is about articulation and aggregation of interests, hence, individuals should be allowed to play the game accordingly to the rules without being slandered. Even, the blind and the deaf understand the direction from which the renewed campaign of calumny against Prof. Kolapo Olusola Eleka is coming from and the fact that Okeya is only being used as a puppet. It simply shows Prof Eleka enjoys wide acceptability among the good people of Ekiti State and that he is still a major contender for the Governorship seat. The chronic pessimist should be well tutored that Ekiti state politics transcend boastful statements as contained in his last article. Okeya, a man with no political reputation in Ikere Ekiti, should bury his head in shame than displaying his buffoonery in the public to bamboozle the innocent readers. His rants against the personality of Prof. Eleka are quite understandable, hence grandstanding through inconsequential missive will further expose his triviality in Ikere-his community, where he has no political bearing and footing. For the avoidance of doubt, apart from Eleka’s activities in politics even while in civil service, his father played a pivotal role in the political arrangement that brought Fayose to power in 2003. Papa Eleka was a prominent Party Chairman of Ikere Ekiti during Fayose’s first term in government and also played an indispensable role in the stabilization of the party in Ekiti. So, having done all these to sustain the party, is there any wrong to assume a political position in the state through the same party? Conclusively, Prof. Kolapo Olusola Eleka has gone beyond your self-seeking relevancy. He is too busy with other bigger things. Comrade 'Sola Falaye, writes from Emure Ekiti
