TV/Movies / TSTV Signs Agreement With Strong Technologies To Migrate Mytv Customers by AishaYesufu: 2:20pm On Aug 12, 2021
TSTV Signs Agreement With Strong Technologies To Migrate MYtv Customers Using Hevc Decoders To TSTV Africa

Indigenous Direct-to-Home TV service provider, TStv, in Abuja on 9th August, 2021 reached an agreement with Strong Technology Limited to migrate its MYTV customers on SRT 497S-HEVC decoders to TStv Africa pay TV platform starting this month of August. MY TV will cease broadcasting on September 1, 2021.
Due to the HEVC-encoded nature of TStv broadcasts, only SRT 497S-equipped My TV viewers qualify to get access to TStv channels, at this stage.

TStv offer one hundred and four (104) high-definition (“HD”) channels that duly equipped My TV viewers could start enjoying immediately. The migration process is simple and seamless, as TStv broadcasts are relayed by the same satellite used by My TV since February 2020. In other words, a simple blind scan of that satellite’s frequencies will tune in and store all TStv channels.
STRONG/My TV Dealers are ready and eager to assist My TV viewers with the migration process.

An interested SRT 497S owner will be required to pay N12,000.00 in contribution towards migration costs, including the simultaneous encryption (“simulcrypt”) of TStv channels with My TV’s encryption tools (“Conditional Access System”, or “CAS”). Against said payment, TStv will credit the new/joining subscriber’s TStv Wallet with N12,000.00, to spend however she/he wishes.

The N12,000.00 payment may be completed in up to three equal payments of N4,000.00 each, over a period not exceeding six (6) months. Upon each payment, TStv will credit the subscriber’s TStv Wallet with N4,000.00, to spend however she/he wishes

TStv offers subscribers the opportunity to enjoy Pay-Per-View, Pay-as-You- Go and A la Carte options, along with the “Pause Subscription” feature that may be activated at any time. A La Carte enables TStv subscribers to freely pick and choose the channels to subscribe to and pay for. TStv channels are either one naira or two naira per day, meaning you can tailor your spending to your budget, all year round. A subscriber may pause her/his subscription at any time, and as many times as she/he wishes, with a simple press of a button. All that’s required is to download the TStv Companion app from Play Store or IOS. Subscribers may call the TStv Call Center round-the-clock on (+234) 099 040 900.
TStv Africa channels span across a multitude of genres.

In his media address, the Managing Director of TStv Africa, Dr. Bright Echefu, promised migrating My TV viewers “a whole new TV experience with TStv Africa”, adding “We thank God that we have indeed delivered on our promise to Nigerians regarding our novel pay TV offerings. Today, Nigerians can truly testify that TStv has implemented pay-perview, pay-as-you-go, A La Carte and Pause Subscription. We are excited over our agreement with STRONG Technologies and look forward to serving My TV viewers.

Eventually, non-HEVC My TV-compliant set-top boxes (“STB”) may be granted access to TStv channels, as well.
In agreement with Dr. Bright Echefu, the Managing Director of My TV, Mr Joseph Torbey, said “STRONG/My TV are delighted to offer viewers, as well as dealers, an alternate pay TV service, offering a wider choice of channels and creative ways for composing one’s subscription, prepaying for it and scheduling it. STRONG will continue to serve Nigerian consumers with ever more innovative digital TV receiving equipment, outstanding technical support and efficient after-sales service.”
My TV viewers are invited to reach out to a My TV or TStv dealer close to them or contact TStv customer service on (+234) 099 040 900 any time of the day, as it operates round the-clock.

Politics / Yoruba Group To Obasanjo: Avoid Igboho’s Matter, Stand For United Nigeria by AishaYesufu: 6:05pm On Aug 11, 2021
Yoruba for One Nigeria Forum (YONF), a socio-cultural group, has asked former President Olusegun Obasanjo to clear his name over the report that he is lobbying Benin Republic to shield Sunday Adeyemo better known as Igboho from facing prosecution.

The group in a statement titled, ‘Olusegun Obasanjo is the greatest beneficiary of Nigeria’s Unity’ and signed by Seun Adebayo Lawal, its national president, said the call became necessary in view of the significant benefits the former president and Yoruba nation as a whole have gained from a united Nigeria.

“The attention of our organisation has been drawn to media reports that former President Olusegun Obasanjo has embarked on a mission in Benin Republic to shield Sunday Adeyemo popularly known as Igboho, who is currently facing multiple criminal charges in the country and on DSS wanted list in Nigeria from being prosecuted. Recall that the self-styled violent agitator has been on the run following his invitation by the Department of State Services,” the group said.

“While we hope that this unpatriotic move is not true, we expect the former President to issue a clear statement on the allegations to inform Nigerians of his position. This is important because of the imminent misconceptions his silence is generating on this matter. It is our position as a native Yoruba indigenous organisation that the alleged move by Obasanjo needs to be censored so as to set records straight for posterity and history.
“The Nigerian history, in its present form has recorded the Yoruba nation as the greatest beneficiaries of Nigeria’s unity since independence. Ironically former President Olusegun Obasanjo is a Yoruba man who has benefited the most from whatever gains Nigeria made of her unity. Obasanjo is the only Nigerian of pure Yoruba descent who has ever ruled this country under the military and civilian dispensations. What more could Nigeria have offered to him or the Yoruba nation? What dues were deserving of the Yoruba nation that Obasanjo could not make up during his time as Head of State and President? He does not need to be reminded of the role Nigeria’s unity played in his rise, both as a military and civilian President thus, the least he owes this nation is to preach peace, promote and advocate for a one united and indissoluble Nigeria.

“If Obasanjo is desirous of creating a sustainable and one united Nigeria, he should utilise his international contacts in the overall benefit of the Nigerian State and its people. Any attempt by Obasanjo or any group to scuttle legitimate efforts by the Nigerian government to ensure that Igboho faces justice would not be forgiven by patriotic Nigerians. The resistance of such moves, no matter how clandestine will be equally resisted by the Nigerian people.”

The group added that “as a Yoruba indigenous group, we will not look the other way when those who have exploited the most of Nigeria’s unity turn to sabotage government peace efforts. We call on former President Olusegun Obasanjo to utilise his international privileges to champion the unity of this country. After all, he got those privileges from the benevolence of Nigeria’s unity”.

“It is perhaps too late for any individual in the echelon of former President Olusegun Obasanjo to contemplate a divided Nigeria at this moment. We must therefore make this Clarion call to all Yoruba indigenous people to show solidarity with the Nigerian government to achieve the long-desired hope of one Nigeria built on unity, peace and progress,” it said.

Politics / Aggrieved PDP Youths Protest, Demand Secondus’ Resignation by AishaYesufu: 2:34pm On Aug 09, 2021
Some aggrieved members of of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Monday took to the streets in protest against the embattled chairman of the party, Prince Uche Secondus.

The protesters, made up of different support groups in the party, under the banner of Save PDP Group and Coalition of PDP Youth Groups, were seen holding banners and placards while chanting “Secondus Must Go”.

They blamed the recent woes befalling the party on Secondus.

The leader of the protest, Comrade Tamunotonye Inioribo, who addressed journalists, accused the National Chairman of polarising the party for selfish interest.

He added that under Secondus, the Governors Forum, National Working Committee and all organs are divided.

Tamunotonye also accused Secondus of creating factions in states for his selfish ambition.

Secondus has recently come under fire from members of the PDP who feel dissatisfied with his leadership style.

They blamed him for the gale of defections that hit the party in the recent months.

Three of its governors, namely David Umahi of Ebonyi State, Ben Ayade of Cross River and Bello Matawalle of Zamfara State, defected to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

Similarly, some members of the PDP in the National Assembly also dumped the party for the APC.

The crisis assumed a new dimension last week with the resignation of seven members of the NWC from their positions last week.

Those who resigned include the Deputy National Financial Secretary, Gerald Irona; Deputy National Organising Secretary, Hassan Yakubu; Deputy National Legal Adviser, Ahmed Liman, and Deputy National Publicity Secretary, Diran Odeyemi.

Others are the Deputy National Woman Leader, Hadizat Umoru; Deputy National Auditor, Divine Arong, and another official who could not be immediately identified.

They alleged that they were not carried along by the national chairman in the management of the party.

Politics / "There Should Be Limit To Madness", Minister Uche Ogah Slams Abia APC Faction by AishaYesufu: 4:32pm On Aug 02, 2021
Minister of State for Mines and Steel Development, Dr. Uchechukwu Sampson Ogah has taken a swipe at some self-acclaimed leaders of the imaginary faction of APC in Abia state, cautioning them to put under control their orgy of madness.

The Minister was responding to an online publication with the caption, ‘Steel Minister Uche Ogah Causing Crisis in Abia APC — Chairman’ sponsored by one Enyinnaya Harbour who claims to be the chairman of non-existent faction of APC.

While wondering what brought about his name in the desperate attempt by a few feather-weighted individuals to lay claim to the leadership of the party in Abia, the Minister in a statement made available to ABN TV by Mr. Demian I Igbokwe, SSA( Special Duties), insisted that there is only one constitutionally recognized leadership of APC in Abia led by Hon. Donatus Nwankpa.

“For anyone, who cares to know, the Hon.Nwankpa-led State Exco remains the only State organ of the Party chosen by the people and recognised by all levels of the Party hierarchy.

This group of Exco members, which has led the Party through thick and thin, including when the Party had not much to offer for services rendered on its behalf, has acquitted itself justifiably in the eyes of the entire APC faithful in Abia State.

What then is the justification for an Enyinnaya Harbour, who is known not to possess the ability or political clout to win any election even in his Ward, to begin to lay claim to being

“Factional Chairman” of APC in Abia State? Is there no limit to madness? Or must all manner of stupidity be displayed to the world in the name of politics?

“To put it more succinctly, if not for misleading politicians like Ikechi Emenike and a handful of co-travellers in his tour of mischief, where would the like of Enyinnaya Harbour muster the confidence and courage to put himself across to discerning minds as “Factional Chairman” of Abia APC, when, in fact, he knows that Emenike, the State Mischief Maker-in-Chief and his benefactor, has with the aid of funds provided by the ruling PDP in Abia State continued to instigate crisis to destabilise our Party.?” the statement read in part.

The Minister insisted that the allegation is spurious and riddled with falsehood from the pit of hell, adding that Ikechi Emenike who was earlier suspended by the leadership of Abia APC is the one instigating an imaginary trouble just to accord himself relevance.

EKITI 2022: Let's allow sincerity of purpose determine our direction in PDP - Eleka Urges party leaders, members

••• says PDP stands better chance to win

Former deputy governor of and frontline aspirant in the forthcoming gubernatorial election in Ekiti State Prof. Kolapo Olusola Eleka, on Thursday, has appealed to the leaders and members of the People's Democratic Party to put the interest of the party and indigenes first.

He added that PDP's choice of candidacy in the primary election will determine the outcome of the general election in 2022.

Eleka maintained that the overall interest of party leaders and members should be on the mission plan of every aspirant towards rebuilding the party from the position of opposition to its rightful place, which is the ruling party.

Speaking through a press statement signed by His Media Aide, Mr Adebisi Adeola, Eleka pointed out that one of the challenges Nigeria is facing in terms of under-development and staggered policies, which have continued to affect our socio-economic, can be traced back to our choice of leaders at various levels of government.

He said: "In an advanced country, economic policies, developmental plans and programmes for the party form a basis for electing leaders into office.

"The process of electing our leaders is in phases. Starting from the grassroots, party leaders are indebted to the populace to present a sellable candidate who has a blueprint for the betterment of Ekiti State."

Eleka, who reiterated his commitment to adequate welfarism of party members, and, most importantly, the entire indigenes of Ekiti, said before any contest, PDP must have its base in Ekiti.

“We must agree that the state of PDP in Ekiti State presently needs urgent attention and genuine reconciliation from the elders.

"We are all indispensable to the project of PDP coming back to power, irrespective of our senatorial districts. Inept leadership, poor governance and dwindling economy have nothing to do with party affiliations," He said.

While appreciating PDP leaders and members who joined him to honour his invitation to the recent PDP Peace Movement symposium in Ado-Ekiti, Eleka said such gatherings should be encouraged to keep the party members together and also serve as an avenue for aspirants to cross-fertilize ideas that are valuable and relevant to nation-building with the party leaders.

"From all indications, PDP stands a better chance to win the forthcoming governorship election if the party candidate is sincere with his conscience and purpose of being in government," He concluded.

Eleka Women Ambassadors, EWA, a group of young, vibrant and prominent women of Ekiti State chapter of People's Democratic Party, has urged the women in the state to all go out to the nooks and crannies of the state to sensitize, appeal and mobilize women at the farmstead in Ekiti State to register in the ongoing electronic voter's registration with the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.

The group stated that it is the only weapon to have their desired change in the forthcoming governorship election in year 2022.

This was made known in Ado Ekiti, on Tuesday, at a much-attended programme organized in honour of a former deputy governor of the state and gubernatorial candidate hopeful, Prof. Kolapo Eleka.

Politics / 2022: Equity Should Be Placed Ahead Of Interest, South Agenda Replies Segun Oni by AishaYesufu: 1:32pm On Jul 28, 2021
Publicity Secretary of Ekiti South Agenda, Mr Jide Ojaomo has faulted the call by a former Governor of Ekiti State, Engr. Segun Oni, to disregard the call for power shift to Ekiti South in 2022.

Recall that Oni who is a gubernatorial aspirant had faulted agitation by other prominent PDP and APC leaders in the South Senatorial District of the State on the importance of producing the next governor from the zone, having been denied the opportunity of such position since the creation of the state in 1996.

Reacting, Mr Ojaomo negates Oni for his unthoughtful opposition to a gentle-man arrangement, wondering why the former Governor who was a product of zoning would take such an unpopular stance.

The statement reads;

"Our attention has been drawn to a well publicised but unthoughtful remarks by former Governor Segun Oni on the call for power shift to Ekiti south in 2022.

It is rather unfortunate that Oni, who claims to be a member of PDP and seeks to actualise his gubernatorial ambition on the party's platform, failed to understand that zoning is part of the culture of the party.

It is on record that the zoning of elective and appointment is in the brain of PDP. Oni himself was a beneficiary of zoning arrangement when he was presented as the party's governorship candidate in 2007 despite coming distant third at the primary, simply because of a call for power shift to Ekiti North.

It is ridiculous that same Segun Oni still desires to be a PDP candidate even though Ekiti South is yet to preside over the state, while Ekiti North that he hails from has enjoyed Eleven years of running the state's affairs

For the record, the call for power shift to a neglected area is not peculiar to Ekiti south alone. In 2007, our party zoned its presidential office to the northern part of the country for equity.

Also in the forthcoming Anambra election, our party picked her candidate, Mr Valentine Ozigbo, from Anambra south in line with power rotation in the state.

Fact is, Governors of southern Nigeria across party lines have demanded presidential power to shift to the region after the eight-year tenure of President Muhammadu Buhari elapses in 2023.

Even at the last gubernatorial election in Ekiti, our great party presented Professor Olusola Eleka from the south as a candidate to change the narrative and of marginalization of the South which was hijacked by the APC.

It is also important to state expressly that Ekiti South has quintessential products for the governorship position. "The narrative that only Oni can win the election for PDP is a figment of imagine. The present situation of APC in Ekiti, vis-a-vis its poor performance, are substantive variables to oust it in 2022.

We, therefore, urge him to desist from this line of thought and join hands with patriotic Ekiti indigenes for the actualisation of a Governor from the south, who will be acceptable by all indigenes of the state, he concluded

Government Documents Expose Move By Governor Yahaya Bello To Sell All Assets and Properties of Kogi State [Documents Attached]

The government of Kogi state under the administration of Alhaji Yahaya Bello has approved sale of properties belonging to the state, Observers Times can exclusively report.

According to a gazetted government document that was signed and dated on June 23, 2021 by the Secretary to the Kogi state government, Mrs Folashade Ayoade, the government approved the sale of all all tangible and intagible properties, and movable and immovable assets belonging to the state. This include landed properties, stocks and other financial assets, gifts received and assets obtained through financial instruments.

According to the gazetted document, the approval for the sale of the state's properties was approved on February 17, 2021 by Kogi State Executive Council; a body of Governor Bello appointees.

The move by the Governor Bello administration to dispose assets is seen as shocking to civil servants and other workers of the government.

Reacting to the development, a public affairs analyst and human rights activist and publisher of Observer Times, Comrade Austin Okai, likened the action of the government as "mortgaging the future of the state".

He further bemoaned the persistent impoverishing of Kogi state citizens by Governor Bello.

"It is on record that Governor Bello has from his first day in office embarked on impoverishing the people of Kogi state. He started by withholding salaries of workers without remorse while accumulating the monies to himself fraudulently, Comrade Okai stated.

"Now he has moved to mortgage the future of Kogi state by selling all her assets to himself and his gang of evil cronies in their bid to primitively and wickedly accumulate wealth to themselves at the expense of Kogi state present and future. This is sad", the activist added.

He further accuse the Governor of failing to execute any meaningful project in the state.

"Governor Bello for the last six years cannot point to any major achievement to his name other than thuggery, deaths and hunger.", he concluded.

Politics / Ekiti 2022: I’ll Run Without Fayose’s Support – Kolapo Eleka by AishaYesufu: 7:36am On Jul 27, 2021
Former Ekiti Deputy Governor Prof. Kolapo Eleka has said his dream to run for the June 12, 2022 governorship election in the state was still alive.

Eleka insisted he would still vie for the plum position despite the fact that his former boss and ex-governor Ayodele Fayose has backed another aspirant.

He spoke in Ado Ekiti on Monday while speaking on the topic: ‘The development of Ekiti past, present and the way forward’ at a symposium organised by a group under the acronym ‘PDP Peace Movement’.

The Ikere-Ekiti born politician, who was Fayose’s deputy between 2014 and 2018, said he holds any grudges against his boss for supporting the ambition of Ekiti PDP chairman, Bisi Kolawole for the 2022 governorship.

He stated that the decision of Fayose to adopt Kolawole as his candidate would not scare him from taking a shot at the coveted seat, saying he has all it takes to secure the party’s ticket and win the poll.

He said: “Every individual has a right in a democracy. I don’t have personal problem with my former boss, his Excellency, Ayodele Fayose . But he has a constitutional right to support whoever he likes.

“In 2018, he supported me to be governorship candidate. But this time, he has made another choice. However, as he has the right to support another aspirant, I have nothing against that, I have the right to make my own choice and contest.

Politics / E-transmission: Edo North Solidarity Movement Disowns Senator Francis Alimikhena by AishaYesufu: 2:26pm On Jul 26, 2021
Edo North Solidarity Movement has disowned the Senator representing Edo North Federal Constituency, Senator Francis Alimikhena over his decision to vote against the electronic transmission of election results. The group in a statement released in Auchi today and signed by the chairman, Comrade Adamu Oshiogwe, made it clear that the embattled senator does not serve the interest of the people of Edo North but of a tiny and rudderless cabal.

The chairman who said the group wasn't surprised by the Senator's decision over the e-transmission of results said. " we are not surprised over this decision because the Senator has always voted against his people. He is an absentee Senator who has neither moved a motion nor does he have any bill to his name. The only bill he tried to raise, was a bill to legalised prostitution in Nigeria but was quickly killed by his colleagues".

The group who vowed that the Senator is already politically dead in the region, also warned the good people of Edo North to always be on the look out for elements like the Senator whenever they come on bended knees for votes as he has not been of any benefits to anyone from the Constituency.

Politics / Indigenous Nigerians Score Buhari Low, Back Southeast Presidency by AishaYesufu: 1:48pm On Jul 17, 2021
A group under the aegis of Indigenous People of Nigeria (IPN) has scored President Muhammadu Buhari’s government low, saying the lack of equity, and fairness was triggering agitation for seccession across the country.

Speaking at a press conference on Friday, Convener of the group, Mazi Nnamdi Iroegbu said self-determination was a fundamental human right, which the Indigenous People of Nigeria recognises.

The group insisted that the current administration which came into existence in 2015 had failed in its responsibility to dispense justice and fairness, noting that Nigerians under the circumstances are not united in mind.

Amid the agitation, the group said crackdown on the harmless protesters were not the way to go as government had been doing.

They said: “As a group, for the advancement of the interest and rights of Nigeria’s indigenous people, it aims to fulfil the vacuum created by the ineptitude of the current administration in Nigeria.”

While it supported calls for restructuring of Nigeria, they reminded the government that Nigeria has over 250 tribes and the current Nigerian State was a creation of a British businessman and politician, Lord Frederick Lugard, adding that no blood of the indigenous people should be shed to preserve the illegal entity.

The group recalled that the Indigenous People of Nigeria were living in peace before the 1914 amalgamation and subsequently, the European’s meddlesomeness led to chaos from 1966 till date.

“This unfortunately climaxed into the unnecessary pogrom and war that consumed the lives of over 3 million indigenous people of Nigeria,” they said.

On insecurity ravaging the country, the group further believed that the local Fulani who have been living with the indigenous people shouldn’t be profiled for banditry and terrorism, which Mr. President himself has sometime ago attested.

“We hold for instance that the Fulani ethnic nationality that has been with other Nigerians for several years should not be isolated and profiled for the acts of criminalizing, banditry ravaging Nigeria.

“It is on record that the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria has at different occasions blamed invaders from war torn countries like Libya and Central African Republic.

“However, it is unfortunate that President Buhari and some unpatriotic elements around him fold their hands while these criminals perpetuate violence in the name of indigenous Fulani in Nigeria,” the group stated.

Ahead of 2023, IPN argued that the South Eastern region should be allowed to produce Nigeria’s President in order to deepen equity, justice and fairness.

TEXT OF THE PRESS CONFERENCE BY THE INDIGENOUS PEOPLE OF NIGERIA – IPN

Ladies and Gentlemen, I welcome you all this day, to the inaugural press conference of the Indigenous People of Nigeria, IPN.

You all will agree with me that Nigeria, our beloved country, is comprised of over 250 indigenous ethnic nationalities, who though are the real owners of Nigeria, have suffered neglect, and are deprived of their God-given rights and privileges as indigenous inheritors.

Sadly, the current administration of our country has failed in its responsibility to dispense justice, equity and fairness to all Nigerians, hence, the myriads of agitations by various indigenous groups. The escalation in the tempo of agitation for Republic of Biafra, Oduduwa, and other Indigenous groups can be traced to the failure of President Muhammadu Buhari to show leadership since taking over the reins of power in 2015.

IPN recognizes and respects the rights of the Indigenous peoples of Nigeria to self-determination, because it is a fundamental human right. We strongly hold that the concerns raised by these agitators are legitimate, hence, should be addressed.

We frown at the crackdown on harmless protesters and agitators across the nation. We strongly hold that the antidote for these agitations is dialogue rather than lethal force.

As a group for the advancement of the interests and rights of Nigeria's indigenous people, the IPN aims to fill the vacuum created by the ineptitude of the current administration in Nigeria, and to enable and promote the required bridges for the much desired renegotiated federation. We shall defend the interest of ALL the Indigenous peoples of Nigeria, irrespective of ethnic and political affiliation or creed.

Therefore, IPN supports the call for restructuring of the Nigeria State by various stakeholders.

We strongly note that while God created indigenous people and ethnic nationalities, Nigeria as a country is a creation of a British soldier, businessman and politician. This man, Lord Frederick Lugard, and Ms. Flora Shaw, his spouse, acted on behalf of the British Empire. It is our view therefore, that no blood of any indigenous person should be shed to preserve this Nigeria enterprise. BLOODSHED IN NIGERIA SHOULD CEASE FORTHWITH!

We also note that penultimate to the 1914 amalgamation of the entity called Nigeria and afterwards, the Indigenous people were living together harmoniously. They intermarried among themselves and lived peacefully with each other. Unfortunately, the military in the year 1966, committed the gravest crime against the Indigenous people by disrupting the harmonious peaceful coexistence of Nigerians, and introduced ethnic profiling and killings. This unfortunately climaxed into the unnecessary pogrom and war that consumed the lives of over 3 million indigenous people of Nigeria. The unnecessary distrust among the indigenous people of Nigeria originated here.

Needless to say that the profiling of any indigenous ethnic nationality is responsible for the troubles bedeviling Nigeria.

We hold for instance that the Fulani ethnic nationality that has been with other Nigerians for several years should not be isolated and profiled for the acts of criminalities, banditry and terrorism presently ravaging Nigeria. It is on record that the President and Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, has at different occasions blamed invaders from war torn countries like Libya and Central African Republic as being responsible for the act of terrorism and banditry in Nigeria. However, it is unfortunate that President Muhammadu Buhari and some unpatriotic elements around him fold arms while these criminals perpetuate violence in the name of indigenous Fulani in Nigeria.

We hold further that children are heritage of the Almighty God. Hence, IPN shall work closely with traditional rulers to ensure that no child is denied his or her fundamental rights. We propose the abolishment of the Almajiri system, which grossly debases the rights and dignity of these innocent northern children of Nigeria.

IPN also condemns the wrong notion that the Igbo ethnic nationality of Nigeria is unpatriotic, and is at war with other ethnic nationalities and by extension Nigeria. It is undisputable fact that Igbo ethnic nationality of Nigeria has more than any other indigenous group has investments and assets spread across every parts of the federation. It is folly therefore, for anyone to think that the Igbo wish for the destruction of a federation that houses its assets.

We can profile neither the Fulani nor the Igbo, we cannot profile the Yoruba because somebody is insisting that his people must be safe and secure.

Apparently, IPN condemns the notion that any particular indigenous ethnic nationality is the architect of Nigeria's problem. Rather, the gross failure of leadership is wholly responsible for every ills bedeviling the federal republic of Nigeria.

We call on the traditional rulers, who are the custodians of the authority of the Indigenous people, to bring all the indigenous nationalities on a round table for a no-holds-barred conversation aimed at resolving any real or imagined differences, and initiate reconciliatory moves amongst the Indigenous ethnic nationalities.

IPN observes that the political class has already commenced politicking and jostling for various political offices, particularly the office of the President of Nigeria. It is a period capable of hitting up the polity and polarizing the already fragile and tensed atmosphere ahead of the forthcoming 2023 elections.

We recall that during the military administration of General Sani Abacha, a former Vice President of Nigeria and one of the founding fathers of the 4th Republic, Dr. Alex Ekweme, proposed the subgrouping of Nigeria into geopolitical zones. Hence, he proposed 6 zones, the North-East, North-West, North-Central, South-East, South-West and South-South, and suggested that power should rotate among these six zones for equity and justice. The Head of State, General Sani Abacha, saw wisdom in the proposal and adopted it. Unfortunately, the framers of the 1999 constitution failed to capture this brilliant arrangement in the 1999 constitution (as amended).

Since the return of democracy, three of these six zones, that is southwest, south-south and northwest have had opportunity to govern Nigeria through Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, Alhaji Umaru Musa Yar'adua, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan and the incumbent, President Muhammadu Buhari.

Muhammadu Buhari, who has been incumbent since 2015, is expected to complete his tenure in 2023. The natural expectation is that Buhari, being from the northern region, power should shift to the southern part of Nigeria following his 8 years in office.

IPN therefore, reasons that for the interest of justice, equity and fairness, the only zone in the Southern region, the Southeast, that is yet to produce a President or Vice President since 1999, should be supported to produce the next President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Nevertheless, IPN is not unmindful of the constitutional rights of indigenous People of Nigeria to elect whosoever they desire. But we appeal to the leading political parties, to present choices that will reflect oneness, equity, fairness and justice to all Nigerians.

It is our resolve to unveil in due course the action plan of IPN.

Therefore, we seek for the prayers and support of all Nigerians as we embark on this noble cause.

God Bless Every Indigenous Ethnic Nationality of Nigeria!!!

God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria!!!

Thank You.

Eleka condoles with Dr Samuel Omotosho over mother's death.

Like everyone, I understand the depth of a mother's love and how mothers are a strong undeniable and available support system. Hence, losing a mother is a feeling of great sorrow and irreparable loss. I sympathize with my amiable brother, Dr Samuel Omotosho, a strategic and influential member of our great party, the PDP and his family over the death of his beloved mother.

Your purpose-driven and inspiring personality is a testament to the devotion of your mother to you. Mama was a caring mother and a woman of inestimable values, whose dedication to humanity and excellence is undeniable.

I pray that God in his infinite mercy will comfort you and the family. He will fill the vacuum left by Mama and make all Mama's dream for you to come to pass.

Myself, my family and Eleka team members stand with you in this tough time.

*EKITI 2022: PDP On Course To Dismantle APC - Eleka's Media Aide Boasts*

Media Aide to the former Deputy Governor of Ekiti, Mr Adebisi Adeola, has called for more interactions between stakeholders of the party ahead of the 2022 governorship election in Ekiti, saying that PDP has a better chance of winning the election if aspirants embrace themselves and play the game fairly before the primary elections.

Adeola, who commended the Oyo State Governor, His Excellency, 'Seyi Makinde and other Southwest PDP leaders for their timely intervention in bringing stakeholders together, said every right-thinking leader should see such a kind gesture as genuine and appropriate.

"It is not lost on Governor Seyi Makinde as the only governor the party has in the Southwest to hold a strategic meeting with aspirants on why they should focus on winning elections and not see themselves as enemies.

"One thing we must do as patriotic party members is to disassociate ourselves from personal interest and focus on the main goal of winning the election so that Ekiti people can enjoy the dividends of democracy under the PDP," Adeola said.

He maintained that apart from the APC in the federal, under the leadership of President Buhari who is doing everything to circumvent and jeopardize out electoral process, PDP will have to battle with APC in Ekiti State in 2022.

He added that what stakeholders in the party need at this point is unity and discipline to avoid fallout after the primary election, slated to hold by January 2022.

Commending the party Youth Leader, Mr Tope Amerijoye, for the success recorded in the just-concluded Youth Conference, Adeola said such a historic event was timely to reawaken the consciousness of the youths towards governance and create enabling environment for PDP youths to cross-fertilize ideas.

"Regardless of individual interest, such activity should be welcomed by the leadership of the party to further bring intellectuals together to discuss the prospect of the party in the coming elections," Adeola concluded.
