What a poorly written statement.

"In times like this it is our collective responsibility to pray for our dear state and not point accusing fingers at anyone"

Apart from how ridiculous this sounds as a solution to the problem, the next line he POINTS ACCUSING FINGERS

In any case, FAAN and not Bauchi state government is responsible....

Travel / Re: Dana Air Flight ‎537 Is A Disaster Waiting To Happen – A Passenger’s Ordeal. by ajadudu: 12:37am On Dec 09, 2014
A quick google of Dana website shows no such flight with number 537 exists!

What else in this story is inconsistent? Fear of flying, undercarriage opening for The landing Gear does not amount to a plane about to crash!

Story sounds ignorant, until people start getting sued for false stories before sanity will reign.

Education / Re: The Origin Of The Word Oyibo by ajadudu: 3:06am On Aug 09, 2014
Sorry to break the news to you, but Oga comes from the English word, Ogre. When the whites came they refereed to the Chiefs of the tribes as Ogres (pronounced "Oga" ).

An ogre is a being usually depicted as a large, hideous, manlike monster that eats human beings. Ogres frequently feature in mythology, folklore, and fiction throughout the world.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ogre

The natives picked it up and called anyone superior to them "Oga"

Next time you are hailing your boss "Oga", no say you dey use style cause am!

The SUV was driving by, you can see people are NOT looking at the SUV but at another direction. The direction they are looking at is where the car must be located.

Romance / Re: Can I Marry My Senior Brother's Wife? by ajadudu: 8:52pm On Mar 07, 2013
@OP, No don't marry her.
Let her find her own man and marry him - many fishes in the ocean. You are a married man for goodness sake, you will only bring complications to your household. You can already see people asking if she killed your brother, the next question asked will be if you both 'planned' your brothers death.
If you are concerned about the property your family built for her and the children, let whoever she chooses to marry sign a pre-nup (by whatever means una dey use sign contract) that clearly states the property belongs to your family.
Any man not able to provide another house for her is not good enough, rented or owned.

If due diligence has been done, why should they stay grounded?

Did KLM get grounded forever after the worst air disaster in history when 583 people were killed due to pilot error?
Did Japan Airlines get grounded forever after the 2nd worst air crash in history when 520 people were killed due to improper repairs on the plane?

Lets take a moment, remove emotions and think this through objectively before we start blaming Jonathan again. haba.

Car Talk / Re: Ever Had Your Car Stolen Before? Advice Others. by ajadudu: 7:00pm On Jul 12, 2012
Yeah, snatched at gun point. Honda accord, they put me in the back but could not all fit in so I got tossed out. Found it at a church a few days later, the keys under the floormat, spent cartridges, some booze and cheap jewelry. The thieves apparently get taste and tossed the 'fake' wrist watches and jewelry on the floor of the car seat.
The church guard said 3 well dressed guys parked it, went for service and didn't come back to pick it after service.

Romance / Re: Can I show her this thread?: In Love With A Young Single Mother.. by ajadudu: 4:27am On Apr 09, 2012
You can't keep her child away from your family. If you think you really love her you need to be able to accept everything that comes with her, including her son. He cannot be kept away as a secret. If you think you can't bring up her son as your own child, don't get married to her. The child cannot be wished away, maybe for a short period but the issue will always rear it's head in the future and things will get ugly.

Family / Re: Why Do Couples Look Alike After Years Of Marriage? by ajadudu: 4:45pm On Aug 24, 2011
Simple reason:
Everyone has facial expressions and mannerism that makes them unique. With time if you live with someone for a long time you start to mimic those expressions subconsciously. If the woman pouts her lips when surprised, the man will eventually start to mimic that expression as well when surprised. If the man raises an eyebrow when he hears something silly, the woman starts to mimic the same gesture eventually. All these facial expressions tend to mold the look and lines on our faces.

Blood mixing, intercourse? That's just BS.
Politics / Re: Questions every Nigerian should answer by ajadudu: 4:13am On Jun 29, 2011
Too much respect for elders and people in authority.

Imagine what the democratic party would have told Obama if that was Nigeria, "wait for your turn and respect your elders"

Cannibalism?

What else will the Nigerian haters think of? While I agree the man should rot in jail and be tried without any diplomatic immunity, how is that cannibalism?

Looks like the Kenyan lawyers just watched District 9 and believed it.

Politics / Re: A Revolution In The Making Buhari Bakare (Tears Of Joy) by ajadudu: 8:01pm On Mar 26, 2011
Nice song, apart from maybe Ibadan how come all the other states with mammoth crowds happen to be from the north? The other southern states seem to have had the campaign under closed doors or under some tent.

I am still in-deferent to this Buhari phenomenon as I remember his regime was more or else governed by the late Idiagbon, horse whipping and all in the name of WAI.
Health / Re: Waiting For Hiv Result? Please Share Your Experience by ajadudu: 3:27pm On Feb 25, 2011
Nurse said she could not find my result and said she was going to check with the doctor. At that point I thought it was a code language for, 'you are positive and I need my oga to break the news to you' and was looking at how to dash out of the hospital and jump in front of a truck or something,

She then realized she had filed it with my firstname name rather than lastname, I know what it feels like to win a lottery my people when I read negative.

People never see good in Nigeria, what would you say of countries like Canada that only flew the citizens to any 3 European city of their choice and asked them to find their way back home from Europe?

What freaking upkeep do you want them to be provided again after they got them back to Nigeria FOC?
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Birmingham Vs Arsenal On Saturday, January Ist; 6.30pm by ajadudu: 12:29am On Jan 03, 2011
All this nit picking over RVP's 'handball'.
Arsenal could have won the game against Wigan if the handball was also was spotted, Nasri's free kick was handled in the box by the Wigan player in the 88th minute, when Cesc did the same against spurs, they got a penalty. Life is a biatch, its all about karma and it balances out at the end of the season, you win some you lose some.
Politics / Re: AUST Bars Graduating Students From Seeking Jobs Abroad by ajadudu: 5:59pm On Dec 07, 2010
st upid, st upid st upid.
You can not force people to work in a specific location, are we in the slave trade era or what? Provide them with opportunities that will make going abroad look foolhardy instead of threatening to 'track' them. I am ashamed of Okonjo-Iweala if she said that, would she be who she is if she was forced to stay in Nigeria and not get the exposure she got working for the world bank and other foreign institutions?

The beach side is not a level ground. It's obvious the guy and the little girl are standing on a lower ground, and the picture is real.

look at the picture properly, the picture was photoshopped. If they were standing lower due to the beach not being level, the legs will not have such a clean cut.

jennykadry:

Not true. Their legs might have been buried in the sand. Dont think you have ever been to a beach before cos if you have walked on the sands then you'd know better

That has to be the dumbest thing I have heard in a while. Did you wear your glasses to look at the clean straight cut of the legs?? Before you start making such silly statements look at the picture. Legs buried in the sand past your knees? Maybe you lack perspective vision. See an eye doctor, it may be a problem you didn't know you had!

Yawn, we just need one foreign Sergent representing the UN to give Jonathan an ultimatum to rescind his decision and his comment will go the way of the history books.
