Amatarasha:Lagos is their nightmare. Wetin concern Lagos for this topic now ![]() |
Kweensavvy:Please what's the obvious reason? Is it that you don't want your followers to know what you shared or ![]() |
Another thread to give an opportunity to the misinformed to bash Lagos. U na no go taya ![]() |
Eriokanmi:Which boat mishaps are you referring to? |
If and hopefully when they pull this off, that means Sanwoolu's administration will be launching two rail networks before 2023. This will make reelection very easy for him. |
Press Release
|
The Managing Director of the Lagos Metropolitan Area Transport Authority, Mrs Abimbola Akinajo, has said the Lagos Red Rail Line will be operational in 24 months (October 2022). She made this statement in Lagos on Tuesday at a milestone meeting on the implementation of the Lagos Rail Mass Transit Red and Blue Line projects with the contractors and consultants. Akinajo said the meeting was to reaffirm the already established positions on timelines for the delivery of the rail lines to passenger operation according to a statement by Assistant Director, Corporate Communication of LAMATA, Kolawole Ojelabi, titled ‘Lagos red rail line will be operational in 24 months’. She said, “The red line is supposed to be a quick win because it will share tracks with the Nigerian Railway Corporation on its Lagos – Ibadan rail corridor. There will be no delays, no budget or cost overrun and there will not be any shift in delivery date. “Our meeting is to take stock of what we have done so far since this project started and to re-emphasise that there is no room for slippage in the delivery of the red line.” https://punchng.com/lagos-red-rail-line-ready-in-2022-lamata/ Lagos Metropolitan Area Transport Authority, LAMATA, has assured residents that the Lagos Red Rail Line project would be operational in 24 months. The projection is that the first phase of 24-kilometre stretch of the Red Line, between Oyingbo and Agbado, representing the first phase of the 37-kilometre rail road project, will carry between 350,000 and 400,000 passengers daily. Managing Director of LAMATA, Engr. (Mrs) Abimbola Akinajo, stated this in Lagos yesterday. Speaking at a milestone meeting on the implementation of the Lagos Rail Mass Transit, LRMT, Red and Blue Line projects with the contractors and consultants, Akinajo said the meeting was to reiterate the already established positions on timeline for the delivery of the rail lines to passenger operation. The Red Line is one of seven rail lines identified in the State’s Strategic Transport Master Plan for the mass movement of commuters to reduce congestion which has come to characterize the state. “The Red Line is supposed to be a quick win because it will share tracks with the Nigerian Railway Corporation on its Lagos – Ibadan rail corridor. There will be no delays, no budget or cost overrun and there will not be any shift in delivery date, Railway is one of the ways cities deal with traffic congestion,” Akinajo stated. Also speaking, Director of Rail Transportation, LAMATA, Mr. Olasunkanmi Okusaga reiterated that the contractors and consultants on the projects must work together saying challenges must be quickly reported and resolved in a way that would be beneficial to timely delivery of the projects. https://www.vanguardngr.com/2020/10/road-decongestion-lagos-red-line-operational-in-24-months-lamata/ |
Happy birthday to her |
dataking:Paid rat, keep it up |
Lol I can't count the number of times someone has tried to use Fashola's name to commit fraud. |
Unclefemzylee:That's a lie, read this https://thenationonlineng.net/allottees-hail-lagoshoms-initiative/ |
Eriokanmi:Yea I saw where you praised Fashola, BRF na baba, no be there mate. But sanwo-olu has continued from the legacy of BRF. Many people don't notice that because it's overshowed by the hate they have for Tinubu. You can't on one hand say Sanwo-olu is doing nothing meanwhile you've either blocked or you're not following the state's government's handles on social media. Personally because I want to stay informed and not be misled by trolls like anonimi, I created a twitter lists for all lagos state MDAs to get updated on what the state is doing and boy, they're doing their best! https://twitter.com/i/lists/1313354512820842497 I don't agree with the part you say you have to wrest political control from Tinubu. There was something Fashola said one time when he was asked the secret to his success while In office, and he mentioned that he focused on governance while Tinubu, his mentor helped him handle the political affairs. And this is the truth, most governors are distracted today from the affairs of governance because they're also neck-deep in politics. Government policies mostly have political repercussions, that's why someone like Tinubu is still relevant in the affairs of Lagos, but note this, Tinubu is nothing without his followers. They trust his judgments, they listen to him and he also listens to them (that's why Ambode isn't a governor today). Of course, I don't always agree with his style because he doesn't seem to respect that every tribe has their cultural peculiarities, that's why he made that bad move of granting the press conference before the edo election. Now, you made some untrue claims. There hasn't been any of the housing schemes that has been abandoned by Sanwo-olu. I think you're not properly informed that's why you have made this submission. He has launched some schemes and like this thread has reported, he plans to launch some more before the end of the year. I don't see how that should be called an abandonment. Ahh, the lagos waterways transport is very functional now. Please go to twitter and visit the handle @Lagferry, they're very updated there. You can see, this is another misinformation I'm referring to here. The local canoes and ferries are operated by the private operators. The ones you see in this thread created by naptu2 are operated by lagos state https://www.nairaland.com/5669189/sanwoolu-launches-lagos-ferrys-commercial and their activities are being regulated by Lagos state waterways authority @TalkToLaswa is their handle on twitter and they're active. As per the minimum wage own, honestly i cant make a comment on that because I don't have much info on it. Sanwo-olu can point to some achievements during his 1year + as a governor. His main focus has been completing all inherited and abandoned projects in Lagos. I can see you're not aware of the huge amounts of projects he inherited. Would you advise a progressive governor to leave the projects he inherited to start a new one so that he can be seen as having an achievement? Should he abandon the red line and blue line rail and start a purple line so that it can be seen that he started and completed a project C'mon! |
Eriokanmi:This is a nice development from the Obaseki-led Edo state government. And this isn't different from LagosHOMS. So I don't understand why tackle Lagos scheme and praise Edo's scheme ![]() The problem I have is that some of you folks on this thread will want me to believe Edo's scheme is the real deal, while that of Lagos is not, simply because you dislike Tinubu. Someone has even said the housing delivery is audio meanwhile they won't call Edo state's own audio. I understand the bias. It's Tinubu that is the problem. So even if Sanwo-olu delivers 50,000 housing scheme before the endo of 2021, u an go still call am audio ![]() https://www.pulse.ng/news/local/sanwo-olu-delivers-1576-new-houses-promises-affordable-mortgage/jkqvfec |
adewad13:Via mortgage. They spread the payment for about 5-10 years. You don't need to pay at once. Just maybe a 15% down payment then you'll pay the balance for a certain number of months till you complete it. That's what LagosHOMS is all about |
Fejimummy:Yes they made an open offer to everyone because they have a dedicated website to it. https://lagoshoms.lagosstate.gov.ng/ Or twitter @LagosHOMS |
miketayo:Then please tell me This mindset you're having is very wrong. So should we now stay without a government because we don't believe they can get anything done right? |
adewad13:Oga, the past housing schemes that have been launched have been bought by other common men. And what do you mean by the bolded ![]() https://www.pulse.ng/news/local/sanwo-olu-hands-over-492-homes-promises-affordable-mass-housing/r96wwmn |
dival247:Oga there are also houses of 3M and 5M sold. It depends on the location. How do you expect a house built by the government in high brow areas to go for 1M because you want it to be available to the poor masses? How will the government get their gain and plough back into the system to build more houses? |
mamaafrik:You are the arindin here. If you don't understand the essence of the housing schemes Lagos started, why not ask and be educated instead of wailing ignorantly. See the reasoning of someone who may probably have an opportunity to be in position of authority someday. |
miketayo:Who told you they share it amongst themselves ![]() https://lagosstate.gov.ng/blog/2020/01/31/gov-sanwo-olu-hands-over-keys-to-allotees-of-alhaji-lateef-kayode-jakande-gardens-igando-at-lagos-house-ikeja-on-friday-31st-january-2020/ |
Eriokanmi:You're just a critic with nothing meaningful to contribute if not you wont sprout this nonsense ![]() Lagos has been doing home schemes since the time of Fashola and we have been seeing the results. Oya show us Obaseki's own, make we see |
ekaette1621:Oga pessimist, where were you when allocation of homes under LAGOSHOMS schemes made frontpage of Nairaland ![]() Na only to shout audio audio u na sabi. When the news about lagos awarding beneficiaries of this scheme makes it out now, your type will be nowhere to be found. If government do, na audio. if dem no do, dey're incompetent. Do you want a government to do and not do at the same time. Na wa for you critics ooo |
ekaette1621:You don't know anything Oga |
ariesbull:https://www.nairaland.com/6146495/insolvency-budgit-apologises-lagos-state Check this thread, Budgit has come out to debunk the report but I know you lots won't want to see that so that your agenda will continue to agend |
Racoon:Like seriously? I can see you're not a constructive critic at all. Did you log out of Nairaland when it made news here that Budgit has retracted this report of theirs? Yet just because you want to find every opportunity to diss Lagos, you folks have started again. This matter has been buried and the originators of the report has apologized to Lagos, so better move on and look for a new propaganda you can diss Lagos |
Carmal90:Well that's true. His dad was a strong politician and was said to be one of the founders of Justice forum. |
Carmal90:Please sir, what do you mean by being a core politician? Are you insinuating he's not a technocrat or? |
viyon02:Okay sir. I'm not a real Lagosian, I'm just a Lagosian by virtue of residency so I'm not privy to that information of what Tinubu wants. If it's true, which I still doubt, he won't succeed at all in making his son the governor. |
