tatcharufaia: He's a prophet from the look of things In our last match against Algeria in October 1993 during the USA '94 WCQ, Westerhof famously told High Chief Alex Akinyele the then chairman of the NSC (equivalent of the Sports Minister) TO LEAVE THE DRESSING ROOM IMMEDIATELY during the half time break. Chief Akinyele was more than taken aback. Right there and then, in front of the players, he swore that even if we eventually qualified Westerhof would not lead the Super Eagles to the World Cup. Westerhof had the last laugh at the end. |

Romance › Re: This Is Why Men Must Be Protected From Women. My Horrible Experience. by AkaraAndBread: 9:55am On Jan 20, 2022 |
lecturer50: A 27 year old divorced woman with 3 kids came to me to borrow N20,000 to add and pay house rent.
I told her I would give her money in a few weeks time when I get the money.
Last week, she came back from her nursery school teaching job and right from the door of my room, she started shouting " I cannot sell my body for money"
I asked her what happened and she claimed men wanted to sleep with her to give her the N20,000.
I consoled her and told her that some men like giving women such condition before they can help the women.
She answered that if I am among such men who sleep with women before helping them, I should tell her so she could forget about coming to me.
I said that I am not among such men and that I would give her the money when I get it.
She thanked me and left.
I have a male neighbor whom the woman has been having sex with. It was the male neighbor who advised her to come to me because he is not working.
That my male neighbor started giving me attitude. He answered my greetings grudgingly.
I wanted to stop greeting him.
But then I observed that my next yard female neighbors also did the same. They stopped answering my greetings. That divorced woman is living with/near those female neighbors. Other males around were still friendly with me, except my next door male neighbor whom the woman has been having sex with.
So i asked my male neighbor what the problem was because he and the females around were giving me attitude.
He said nothing at first.
Later, he said in a friendly manner that I should have respected myself and not asked the woman for sex, because when he started having sex with the woman, it was she who initiated the move, and not him.
He opened up to me that the woman has been telling people that I wanted to sleep with her for the money.
I was so shocked and ran to go and meet the woman, but he held me and said that the woman strongly warned him not to confront me if he wanted her to continue visiting him.
I told him the true situation of things and he said I should forget everything because she is "just a woman".
I wasn't having any of this, so I confronted her in the front of her female friends in her room.
She answered that she believed we misunderstood ourselves. She said am I not a man? Why must what I heard bother me.
Some males around said I should forget it because the society has given women weapon against men which is rape/sexual assault allegations, because even if women are lying against men, people would still believe the women.
They said that the best a man should do is to hope he is not falsely accused by a woman because there is nothing he can say that anyone would believe him.
Because the society believes a man always wants to have sex with every woman, therefore every accusation from women would be immediately believed.
I answered them that even if a person is a chronic thief who is well known as a thief, he would not keep quiet and just accept it when he is accused of stealing what he did not steal. He would shout and defend himself.
At least let them accused him of what he stole and not what he didn't steal.
They say I am a man and it is nothing to a man if a woman accused him of wanting to sleep with her. One girl there was telling me that there was nothing wrong in a man wanting to sleep with any woman. That there is nothing to be ashamed of as a man, if you have a desire to sleep with any woman.
Can you imagine that?
I believe the society should form a group to cater for men also.
So many black men were falsely accused by white women and were killed because no one cares for the male gender. You cannot just accept false accusations because you believe it is nothing since you are a man. What if you end up losing your life, freedom or happiness because of it?
Men are so ashamed to rise up and defend the male gender. But women always group together to defend a woman who is abused by a man.
Men would rather defend the female gender.
But know that if you are ashamed to defend a follow man against a woman who wants to destroy him, when your time comes, no one would defend you.
What goes around comes around.
Don't think that you are safe when other men are not safe.
Don't think that if a woman accused a man falsely and the man is being imprisoned or killed, that you cannot be a victim tommorow.
If you like abuse me.
Picture of the woman or else...

At last there has finally been a judgement in this case.
King Pele (Uduak) thought that because he was Akpabio's boy that he could "do and undo". Akpabio dropped him like a hot potato because the matter was too hot.
The way and manner in which he treated that woman was heinous. The disgrace was too much. The allegation itself had no basis (money wey dem spray you and your madam on your wedding day no reach your expectations, so solution= beat and disgrace one of the organizers because say you think say you be Don)
The N4 million (+200k litigation fees) is actually very small. As a Mobil staff Uduak can comfortably pay. I wonder how his political career will move from here.

His family would have held similar prestige like the Dantata, Adelekes, as 3rd Generation big man but drug abuse, betrayer , hungry attitude, pettiness ruined their name
. You forgot to add homosexuality and incest. Femi used to bang his mom until one day his dad walked in on them. Dude was said to have placed a curse on him (that's why many forgive FFK's behavior). FFK also allegedly banged his daughters. Rotimi, his late brother, was a self confessed gay before he died in the 80s. Remi, his father ("Fani-Power" ) , made Fela look like a learner when it came to smoking weed. The Fani-Kayodes are bad news. Fani-Kayode is not even their real name. Remi rebranded the name in the 50s/60s so that it would look more egalitarian. |

Family › Re: Re: My Wife Poisoned My Mother With Salt by AkaraAndBread: 6:30pm On Jan 04, 2022 |
eyinjuege: Sadly, the agenda that the wife killed Mama will be propagated. We always want to hold someone responsible when we lose a loved one. I remember almost 25 years ago when I lost an uncle. Amazing man, in his early 60s. He collapsed and went into a coma. He was found to be in diabetic coma and BP was also very high. They gave them the impression at the hospital that it was too much Maggi that caused this. The whole family kept spreading the nonsense narrative. His children too believed the nonseýnse and even stopped using Maggi too- they were in their 20s, all in uni. My aunt was a great cook, a full housewife who made fresh meals everyday and was very much into cooking That's when people started remembering that she can cut a whole bulb of onion to fry 2 eggs and it's only onions you'll be eating. People will find serious fault in everything and start lashing out at others becasue of their own grief. Imagine a new widow burdened with the accusation of killing her husband by cooking with too much maggi My uncle was a tall huge big man whose BMI would definitely fall within the obese group, he didn't get any exercise, had a driver to go everywhere, lived a sedentary lifestyle and was at the pinnacle of his corporate career. He also loved good food, and never joked with his food. The wife was supposed to force him to exercise or go to the gym, she was supposed to make him control his portions, supposed to do this and that. Meanwhile, she was also ignorant of all these things too. The medical professionals at the teaching hospital ignored all his risk factors of obesity, gender, age, and comorbidites and focused on the salt/maggi or maybe that's the only thing we the family chose to hear. As if its the Maggi that caused his diabetes People tend to forget illnesses come on due to multiple factors, and not just one single one. Another aunt died of cancer and till date her daughter will not use a microwave. Whoever told them about radiation as a risk factor for cancer obviously didn't know that radiation from microwave does not make the food radioactive and can't cause cancer. Sorry about your late uncle. But your post butresses some of the points I made in earlier posts. Medical practice in Nigeria has serious limitations. As a doctor, if you travel outside the country for a week and see how things are done outside you would not want to come back to this shit hole. Trust me. How many teaching hospitals in Nigeria do stress ECGs?? How many hospitals run cardiac enzymes? How many patients can even afford the cost of running cardiac enzymes? How many hospitals can you get neuroimaging done within 30mins if arriving at the hospital I don't blame those guys in Ask Rock who engage in medical tourism. Who no like him life? Doctors in Nigeria are not incompetent. We are just constrained by numerous factors from poor lab support, poor pay, poor facilities, wicked hospital mgt staff etc. I don't see things improving any time soon. Maybe when we all relocate to Saudi Arabia/Oman/UK etc. and the hospitals are empty, then things may begin to improve. |

Karleb: How does this prove the wife's innocence?
My own late grandmother died of hypertension, she was always taking her drugs, she never missed! She always watch her diet, she was always reading books like Nature Power to see the natural method of combating this disease.
But, despite how careful she was, she eventually died of hypertension.
Now, if someone who was this careful eventually lost to this, how about someone that was being fed with regular dosage of salt against doctor's advice?
Again, ask yourself, if the mana was careless, she could have died when she wasn't with them because there was no supervision and she was free to drink anything she wanted?
It's not everyone that doesn't regard their health. Chief/comrade na me O! Your boy. I come dey peruse your profile come see this your post. I just say make I tell you. I be doctor O (post-grad for that matter). I am also a hypertensive (it runs in the family). My late Mum was a hypertensive and diabetic. My late Dad was also hypertensive. He had THREE strokes before he died (it is what propelled me to study medicine). Both were compliant with their meds and never did any herbal stuff. Yet both succumbed to their illness. Diabetes and hypertension come with complications. In fact, almost every diabetic will come down with one complication (neuropathy, nephropathy, retinopathy, coronary heart disease, diabetic foot etc.) at one point in time. The drugs more or less delay the onset of these complications as well their severity if and when they occur. That is why I advise patients that "TAKING YOUR DRUGS RELIGIOUSLY IS NOT THE BE ALL AND END ALL OF IN MANAGING ANY CHRONIC ILLNESS". Find a COMPETENT doctor who is experienced in that field (it must not be in a teaching hospital) and ensure you go for regular check ups ( because from simple discussions with a patient a good doctor can detect some of these complications at an early stage). Unfortunately, from my experience, most patients tend to stick with doctors with limited experience who tell them what they want to hear. They only come to the teaching hospital or any other adequately equipped facility when it is more or less too late. Cases that end up in tertiary facilities are usually at the end stage. Which begets the question " Where has thus patient been all this while and who managed/mismanaged this case to this extent??" A resident in Internal medicine (or even family medicine) would notice that the "salt hypothesis" that brought us together is "a story for the gods". A doctor that fronts that as an excuse for sudden onset seizures in a diabetic (especially to the relatives of the deceased) in my opinion, should have his license withdrawn. But after reading most of the comments on that thread, it's best to leave the matter. Nigerians like misinformation.A simple Google search or an enquiry from a competent doctor in their neighbourhood can give them the answers they are looking for... but most times they prefer hearsay or some other short cut route.Like a colleague of mine said "Good patients manage their illness. Bad patients suffer from them". |
