Career › Re: What Are The Requirements To Apply For A Bank Job by AKEEMNAS(m): 10:10pm On Apr 27, 2022
pocohantas:
Nothing special

FOR CORE STAFF;

Be less than 26 for most banks.
I think it is only Access that is 24.
Have 2.1 (and above) for most banks, from a RECOGNIZED institution.

Any course you study is your business. grin

Apply via the portal, a staff (sometimes they allow junior staff drop one or two CVs).

Write aptitude test.
Do interviews- panel and one or two with a senior officer. ED/MD as the spirit leads.

Get into a training school. Score 75% and above for most banking schools. You get paid and fed in your training school with enough activities. You fit forget wetin carry you come if you no dey careful. Too many fine boys and girls forming love wey posting go scatter.

In the training school, your course of study would help. Most business students would understand the terms and won’t struggle to grasp it. Engineering students do better in calculation courses once they pick up the basics.

Get posted to a unit. The top 3 and memorable students tend to get preference. The rest would end up in Marketing or Operations.

Northerners are ALWAYS (98%) sent back to the North. They like it that way.

Connection is just a very negligible few.
Impressive analysis, well detailed... I must say you nailed this, but I don't really sure about the postings to operations, but I am sure of the marketing role. Anyway, bravo!

I stumbled on this picture somewhere and have forgotten the name of the book we read back in my primary school.
Only one book comes to my mind.
Ralia: The Sugar Girl

P.S: In that picture is Adanma (the wicked old woman) and the girl (Ralia).
A very interesting book it was.
Romance › Re: Help, My Roommates Hate Me So Much Because Of My Looks. What Can I Do? by AKEEMNAS(m): 6:19pm On Feb 10, 2022
To start with sorry, some people have terrible character. But the truth is you are not safe with them, those kind of roommates can foil a plan and set you up real bad.
You can't change their attitude towards you, it's only if they are willing to change themselves it's more of a mindset kind of thing.
Lastly, if you can move out to another place try to (let your parents know they are still adamant) and be very watchful of your things (food, cloths, personal effects etc.) and be very prayerful. May GOD protect you.

Literature › Re: Life Of A Broke Yahoo Guy (Fictional ) by AKEEMNAS(m): 12:08pm On Jan 19, 2022
dodoatirice:
Forgive my typos and my diction and my paragraphing, obviously i skipped Essay classes!!

At a point, i hit it big! Damn those years, i felt or always thought i could do anything or so it felt. When i was in college, i used to dream big. I always thought life revolved or evolved around getting good grades, graduating, getting a white collar job, settling down, having kids and buying or building a home, a car and simply living life. But the real world waited patiently for me that as soon as I graduated, and after idling for 3 years in my Moma’s house.
Sincerely @dodoatirice, you need to publish this wonderful work of literature, you've done really well. More ink to your pen and more grease to your elbow. You need to do a professional proof-reading and edit before publish. The story is fictional as you said, but reading it to some point starts to create scenes in one's mind and relate to real life - the reason some are still insisting it's a non-fiction/real life story.

This story is really an eye opener for everyone regardless of your age group or stand in the Society.

The Street is Deep!, a lot is happening. Work and hustle legally, don't use another person's life/wealth as reference when praying for yourself. Peace of mind can't be bought!. Once it's not Legit, don't do it.

Lastly, @Bobzy Richie, the end is not near for you it's here already. Even Ceeza who introduced you to this runs, he ended in insanity - a mad man. You used your poor mother, your guy - Jago, Tayo (Shade's sister, Shade herself, Albinos, Babies, Young girls, Baba (in the coven), all the guests at your mother's remembrance, you even used yourself all because of vanity.
Towards the end, I'll keep my fingers crossed. @dodoatirice well done. Thanks for the updates so far.

I have always been part of the story too from the beginning (an ardent reader here) but, I didn't comment (I only observed).
All I did and still doing is always referring everyone most especially youths to this story - I've continued to share the link with them.

Hi

I'm not much of a writer, I just dabble in it.

The last time I wrote anything for public consumption was in 2017 when I was in a dark place, I'm back in that place now, hence the thread.

I find writing therapeutic, it's more like a safe haven for me.

Please do not steal my stories, it'll shatter me completely.

Do enjoy and I look forward to reading your comments.
Thanks, I read this it's a beautiful piece. How are you doing by the way?
Kindly continue your writing.
I also sent you a mail as well.
Romance › Re: How Do I Solve My Problem Of Infatuation: Extreme weird love and likeness for me by AKEEMNAS(m): 10:07pm On Jul 22, 2020
ModestGal:
I have this problem, 90% of people that come close to me get infatuated with me, not sexually or romantically I think. But this extreme intense feeling of likeness and uncontrollable interest in me that makes absolute no sense to me. Humans get extremely wowed with me, wants to know my in and out in an impatiently funny way, they would want to start an intense friendship/relationship with me, in a very fast funny way. I wont call myself beautiful though, but I'm indeed an Angel in Human form, what I mean is that not like I'm intensely beautiful, but I know I have this Uniqueness, an Angelic presence that is binding, inviting and mouth opening. Also, I do not think I have any features that would be immodestly inviting because many atimes I wear Abaya. I wear only jalamias with big arms and extremely long ones, I don't use make ups either nor do I use powders as I'm fond of rushing out of my house. Of course, I want to be loved,I cherish those that like me, but not in a toxic, weird manner, a healthy one.

I have tried both ways of accepting and rejecting these people, but they all usually end sour. Infact, in a particular case, I almost got my defense paper thrown away by one of these people (a Prof) that got infatuated with me.

It has lead to many haters, sometimes I feel its because I could not return same energy of love and likeness, that's why they end hating me in return, but each time I try to accept these people, it still doesn't end well. But my love/likeness for people actually grows in a healthy way, I don't get wowed at first, or extremely excited like people do to me

It's emotionally draining because I'm naturally a nice person and of course act friendly, and thus it's difficult to manage these people that get infatuated with me

This has nothing to do with dating me please, it happens with both males and females. The females end up doing all sorts of crazy things. Its painful because I don't feel infatuated about anyone, I don't know why people do that to me. I also like people, but usually in a healthy way, and it would definitely be respectful and would end very nicely and the people would always be glad I met them.
Some would say I'm proud, some would say I don't like them, some would just go funnily mute, some would become obsessive, some would want to be controlling, etc.

It makes me to avoid people, when I'm supposed to be happy that I get liked easily by people, I'm usually sad about it, because I know where it would end. It makes me not to want to associate the more, or talk where I am supposed to, or be real me in public
Please share with me how you are able to solve this problem if you have ever been in my shoes, or if you know any way I could stop this from re occurring.

Note** This has nothing to do with dating, or people asking me out, I get healthy people in that region, and no problem there at all
Also, I don't fit in the definition of ''beautiful'' with so many people, it would only take another Angel to see those beauty, so no need dropping any pic
I'm not weird either, I'm a normal human being
May ALLAH see you through ModestGal, I know this can be disturbing. Maa Salaam
P.S: I don't know if you remember, well this is me, I am not a scammer, and I am not a fraud.
