He's basically signposting that no individual no matter highly placed is beyond the statutory body checks at the airports. We need to CHANGE the psyche of Nigerians from the "YOU NO KNOW WHO I BE" mentality. |
He can't write to INEC directly of withdrawal from the race but through his party, APC. The party is simply unperturbed by his actions, once the party's candidate is declared governor-elect, he automatically becomes deputy governor-elect. Only the courts can make further declarations. |
While you are at the argument mention 3 other governors in the whole of the SS/SE since 1999 that can compete with Oshiomhole in terms of performance asides Peter Obi, Rochas & Amaechi&Akpabio |
When people talk about "media trial" do you expect the government of the day to gag the media or otherwise conduct its affairs in secrecy. It's an inalienable right of the media to investigate, educate, inform & entertain their teeming viewers/listeners/readers. The people have a right to know every detail of what happens across the length and breadth of Nigeria, particularly the centre of it all(Abuja) where most of the government agencies are located. The government of the day will not shy away from delivering on its mandate even if it means stepping on huge toes across the land. |
MMMFAGUY1:. When you gain power in the future you can start from 1914. Moreover, PDP held power at the centre and they are ones who must answer for their misdeeds. All of them will be given opportunity to defend themselves at the courts. |
God bless PMB, he's already stated that even if a member of his party is indicted in any case of graft/outright theft of public funds he will not shield anybody. Many of us have chosen the path of greatness for our nation and we will not relent in backing all the organs of the CHANGE government in repositioning our nation and bringing to book everyone who has corruptly enrich themselves especially in the guise of fighting against BOKO HARAM |
On the assumption of innocence, if he was allegedly paid by the CBN. Paid for what exactly? Do government contractors receive payments directly from the CBN? Is there any existing precedence of such payments before Dokpesi? What we can't deny is that a lot of shady and illegal withdrawals were made from the CBN & NNPC without due budgetary provisioning. One lesson from the last elections enthroning CHANGE- Darkness will never overcome light. |
All of sudden a few nonentities are burning the mid night oil preparing useless articles to sway peoples' mindsets about the present government. In one breath they prefer that the government should look beyond the failures of GEJ and the next moment they willfully violate their values by constantly reminding us of the fact that they lost woefully at the polls. Bunch of educated illiterates who are yet to come to terms to the fact that no single party/ underperforming president can hold the nation to ransom. The painful part to them is that they wished 2019 to be next year. Let us reiterate to them that the best of this government is yet to come and things will certainly get better. |
First half was good for Chelsea, showed real intent to win the game. The journey certainly is UP the table. Tottenham equally gave as good as they got. A delight to watch for the NEUTRALS. My halftime prediction A CHELSEA WIN all the way. Take that to the bank. See y'all after 90mins. |
For the guys who take FFK serious, why has Boko Haram not celebrated the maiming of the 105 soldiers like they are claiming responsibility for this suicide bombing. Honestly, common sense is not common. |
Honestly, I'm bound to believe that the words PDP & CLUELESSNESS be used interchangeably. No further comments. |
JOKERS |
INEC for this one spot one, it mat not be a perfect decision for all parties concerned but then time is not on their side, elections have been conducted (though inconclusive) and it's only the courts that can declare an outright cancellation. It's also been established that it is the party that wins the election and not the individual and so the request for the APC to fill the void created by the death of Audi is also commendable in my estimation. |
Some youths are not even fit to be school janitors talk less of councillors. They can't read and comprehend but their fingers are the fastest to type rubbish across all social media platforms. |
This PDP can raise unnecessary dust, PMB has demonstrated a high level of decorum and impartiality even though his party is involved. Now to Nurse Metuh who are these imaginary PDP members and where is it written in our constitution that a state belongs to the PDP or APC. Every party must win the trust of the electorate in a 4year cycle, that's our brand of democracy. Now go to the field and campaign like others are doing and stop wailing unnecessarily. Best of luck to all parties concerned. Peace Kogi State. |
High Chief, the APC and the mass media didn't put a gun to your head before making such comments, so , leave them out of your party palaver. Thank you sir. |
godsonanieto:. A but of education here, Jagaban BAT is the plaintiff while DAAR COMMUNICATIONS is the defendant. Who between the two parties do you think is seeking an "out of court" settlement. Apply logic and reasoning bro. |
I seriously weep for the PDP. |
The youths have been provided a golden opportunity by this administration to seek and learn the rudiments of a transparent and accountable government cutting across the different MDAs, the burden carriers (ministers) have their work cut out but we all must keep our eyes on the ball and provide them useful information/ suggestions to them. Whistleblowers particularly MDA staffs must not shy away from exposing any corrupt practice in their respective MDA. We all own this government and by His grace Nigeria will emerge a much stronger and prosperous nation. God bless us all. |
Honestly when I need to laugh, these threads always come handy. What equally baffles me is the resort to crude and ancient tactics of secession by a few ragtag demented citizens who are fully aware of the grave consequences of their actions. A wrong procedure will never produce the right results. |
Here comes our AGENTS OF CHANGE. God bless everyone that truly believe that PMB/PYO and the ministers will move this nation into the season of share prosperity across board. If the Nigeria of old before May 29,2015 was bad/terrible/ corrupt every geopolitical zone contributed to it and now we all have a golden opportunity to join hands with our representatives at the FEC and the NASS to move the nation FORWARD. God bless us all. |
So, at your level you don't know the difference between a perm sec and a minister, the difference between constitution and civil service rules, the difference between federal executive council and body of permanent secretaries. |
Moreover, it's also very convenient for misguided elements to take the 19states from the north as one while splitting the south into 3. The ethnic jingoists have failed to take stock and so remained unwise. |
Please keep quiet if you have nothing constructive to offer. Selection of permanent secretaries is based on federal character consequent upon eligibility according to grade level and seniority, moreover, you already have the head of service from the southsouth. The 6 geopolitical zones will have share in the perm secs to be appointed subsequently ditto for INEC where you have 12 national commissioners with 2 representing each geopolitical zone. Misguided youths must stop misinforming themselves. God bless Nigeria. |
Sometime I imagine the clamour for leadership from the present youths who deliberately choose to be ignorant about how government works. Back then in 2005 4 out of 5 executive directors were cleared out of FBN in one fell swoop. How do you think the current Head of Civil Service of the Federation was picked even though we learnt she was not the most senior of the existing perm secs, that was a clear tsunami alert. Every system must purge itself from time to time but unfortunately the civil service across board had been left to decay over the decades. Now we have a government led by PMB who isn't afraid of taking bold decisions to move the nation forward and yet some misguided youths still call him unprintable names. What exactly do we want as a people, we want to go to heaven and don't want to die. A civil servant rose to the position of permanent secretary and you think those calibre of people will suffer from early retirement. Think again. |
Hey folks, the restructuring is long overdue as there will be a streamline of ministries to accommodate a lean government framework. Nigeria cannot afford over bloated ministerial budgets anymore. Y'all thought SAI BABA was playing all these while taking briefings from the perm secs, he knew exactly what to do but then most Nigerians were impatient been used to fire brigade methods through the years. It's no more business as usual. God bless Nigeria. |
For 11 straight years we had the IG of police from the southern part of the country (1999-2010) and all our concerns were how effective they were in office, of course we know a few if them that left in shame. The same trend of playing to tribal sentiments must never be encouraged. FFK be warned. |
Someone please dial medical emergency line as Nurse Olisa Metuh needs some medical attention. What kind of press statement is this? It's crystal clear now that PDP is yet to come out of come on account of the last electoral shock. This is totally childish and absolutely condescending in the name of opposition. |
I have no doubt in my mind that Nigeria is in safe hands. Remember folks that everything rises and falls on leadership. God bless PMB/PYO. God bless Nigeria. |
Yes we won it back then in khaki, now we are doing it in AGBADA. SAI BABA all the way. Congrats to the Golden Eaglets. |
Folks who can hardly read 4pages of naira land articles are the first to pass uninformed comments on judicial matters. The courts are there for all parties to exploit up to the supreme court, the judges give verdict on facts of a matter pending before them and they are not given to unnecessary emotional tantrums. I maintain that PDP was a completely lawless party by their conduct in most of their primaries. If I'm not privy to any, the case in Lagos where one of the guber aspirants came in a bulletproof vest speaks volumes. In Alhaji Lai Mohammed's voice REBRAND NOW OR GO EXTINCT SOONEST. |
Unfortunately, Olisa Metuh can't distinguish between a one-day event (party primaries) and elections petitions tribunal (that sit for more than 120days). Such a huge shame. |
