The noose is tightening fast on corrupt fools....the PDP is full of rogues and idiots....Nigerians are becoming more and more educated... and its easy to see the actions of these rogues....Fayose is certainly jail-bound, and he knows that being nice will not help him; he might as well make as much noise as he can while he is still free!

Education / Re: 8 Students Collapsed During Last Paper Examination Of University Of Ibadan DLC by AkoEja: 3:57pm On Oct 17, 2015
I am an alumnus of the University. This university is one of the most uncaring universities in the country. They treat their students like shit and they don't care about their welfare. If you go to the halls of residence you will see many evidence of lack of care. It is a shame that University of Ibadan is the premier university in Nigeria but it is not showing a good example to the others.
It has one of the highest incidence of mental disorders in Nigeria among its students. Beware before you send your children to this university.
Sports / Re: Vincent Enyeama Back Home, Trains With His Wife by AkoEja: 7:53pm On Oct 09, 2015
Pride goes before a fall. This goes for Enyeama and Oliseh. Both characters were too proud, and they were unable to respect each other. Sunday Oliseh should not have replaced Vincent without communicating with him in the initial just to give him some respect considering the many years he has served the country. Enyeama also should have respected the coach when speaking in front of the whole team. However, the bigger part of the blame goes to the coach for inviting Enyeama without discussing with him that he will no longer be captain, if he did not want him, he should not have invited him.
Oliseh has not handled the whole thing with maturity, which he needs to be able to successfully manage a national team like Nigeria's with so many high-profile players.

Oliseh is unlikely to be a successful coach, and he will soon be removed after losing several matches. I don't think Nigeria will qualify for the World Cup. What a shame again. The blame squarely lands with our football administrators who never know what to do about which coach to employ. What a bunch of nincompoops!
Sports / Re: Enyeama Explains Row With Oliseh, May Quit Eagles by AkoEja: 7:21pm On Oct 07, 2015
With a coach like this, I think the Eagles have no hope. Oliseh is simply as dumb as he looks. How can you not understand the predicament of someone who had to bury his relation?
What an arrogant idiot Oliseh is!

Who says trousers are specific to men? Trousers even protect women's dignity more than skirts, and is therefore more supportive of a conservative form of dressing for women.

Some people are still living in the stone ages!
This is the kind of thing driving sane people away from religion. The church is so full of foolish arrogant senseless people

Steal 10 billion, and then throw about 10 million for cheap publicity. With Ekiti state so full of intellectuals, they still voted this foolish man in as a governor! A government should be looking after all the disabled persons in the state rather than throwing money at one disabled person for cheap publicity.

What a fool! And an idiot!

Politics / Re: Osun Crisis, Beyond My Control – Aregbesola by AkoEja: 10:35am On Jun 13, 2015
Allocation from the Federation account has gone down......there is not a lot this governor can do to cover a 40-50% short-fall in a state like Osun, that have minimal resources.
This is the legacy of Nigeria's fragile badly managed, corrupt monolithic economy, run by kleptomaniacs, that is totally dependent on oil. Oil price was $100-120, its now $50-60 per barrel. Of course, the thieves, ie legislators, governors, commissioners etc, are getting their own pay regularly!

Nigeria need to look inward now, to find a long-term solution to this total dependence on crude oil. The world is moving on. Other sources of energy are getting developed and reaching the stage they might become mainstream. While the boom was on, other countries used their oil-wealth wisely, while Nigeria fritters its own. Nigeria accumulated a debt of $60 billion during the boom while its reserve was depleted. Governors and legislators earn an unbelievable amount of money. What is the justification for a senator's total pay reaching N29 million naira plus per month? ---in a poorly developed country like Nigeria?

Truth be told, the problem is beyond just the governor, its a national problem.

Sports / Nigeria Wins Gold At International Amateur Athletic Fed Women's 4 X 200m Race by AkoEja: 11:27pm On May 05, 2015
There may have been world records and shock defeats in other events, but the women’s 4x200m was the most dramatic final on the first day of the IAAF/BTC World Relays, Bahamas 2015.

Pre-event favourites USA looked to be on course to successfully defend their title from last year, after Shalonda Solomon, Kimberlyn Duncan and Jeneba Tarmoh had built up a comfortable lead on the first three legs.

But then disaster struck on the final changeover between Tarmoh and Allyson Felix. The Olympic 200m champion couldn’t quite get a solid grip on the baton as Tarmoh then bumped into her before Felix fell to the ground, their medal hopes dashed.

There was drama too for the host nation as their second changeover was well outside of the zone. The Bahamas carried on and eventually crossed the line in second place, but they were soon disqualified.

It meant that Nigeria were the surprise victors, winning in 1:30.52 to take two seconds off the national record they set earlier this year. World bronze medallist Blessing Okagbare led the team off before the baton was passed to Regina George, Dominique Duncan and Christy Udoh.

Its even worse if you are in charge of the money.
She could not do it in the world bank because she will be caught and sent to jail, but in Nigeria she knows she will get away with it.

The King was never the problem. The people of the town are peaceful, liked their former king and will accept the new king without issues.
But they have the devil in their mist in the name of this PDP chieftain who seem to enjoy causing problems for everyone.
Everyone is apparently in fear. This man apparently got all the Ilase votes for PDP, even though they won nothing overall in the state, as the town is a very small town

Samalex2008:

Wonders shall never end. I guess this can be relay to the Osun SAS and other security agencies in the state?

There has been many reports and petitions to the security agencies, but their hands are tied because this chieftain has the federal might behind him. He has the ear of the President. Each time any of the thugs are arrested, orders come from above(close to the IG of the Federation) to get the thugs released. Even though a whole Oba was shot dead and then burnt, nobody could or has been charged!
The Governor of the state(Aregbesola) is apparently aware, but cannot do anything as he is overridden by Federal might. He was said to have come to the town to openly accuse this chieftain of these atrocities. The APC top brass in Osun State have threatened to take this man to the International Criminal Court (ICC) in Hague, as they could not get anywhere with their grievances within Nigeria.

Politics / Re: Gunshots In Osun As Gunmen Take Over Polling Zone by AkoEja: 12:34pm On Apr 11, 2015
There is a PDP chieftain in Ilase-Ijesa who has unlimited supply of money who has been harassing people of the town for years. He is unhappy because, inspite of all the money he has spent in the town, people are still not ready to vote for him. This is why he has resorted to harassment and intimidation using thugs(comprised mainly of released former prisoners and drug addicts).

PDP seems to be a party where all the rogues and evil people in Nigeria are concentrated. At least, they have the highest percentage than other parties in Nigeria.
I am very privy to all that is happening in Ilase, including the murder of the Oba of Ilase by these criminals. They killed the Oba because he refused to support this PDP chieftain. At least 2 or 3 people have disappeared with no trace from the town because they would not support thisPDP chieftain. Only God or the death of this rogue will save the town.

Politics / Re: The Behind The Scene Drama In Aso Rock By Okah Ewah Edede by AkoEja: 11:44pm On Apr 02, 2015
GEJ does not deserve any praise for conceding defeat after it was obvious he had lost. GEJ manipulated everything to make sure he wins, he did much better than Babangida, etc in adjusting everything in hid favour unfairly.

GEJ might look dumb, but he is not that dumb(he even has a PhD!), he knows the implications of going against the will of the people.

A Yoruba adage says "He, on whose head a coconut is broken, cannot partake in the eating"
Jonathan knows this, and intelligently bowed out to avoid an ignoble end.

He knew Babangida, Obasanjo, Abacha, etc all failed in perpetuating themselves against the will of the people.
Who is GEJ among among all these guys?

Politics / The Economist Endorses Buhari by AkoEja: 6:50pm On Feb 07, 2015
It said, "Start with Mr. Jonathan, whose party has run the country since 1999 and who stumbled into the Presidency on the death of his predecessor in 2010, the PDP's reign has been a sorry one. Mr. Jonathan has shown little willingness to tackle endemic corruption. When the governor of the central bank reported that $20bn had been stolen, his reward was to be sacked.

"He has shown little enthusiasm for tackling insecurity, and even less competence. Quick to offer condolences to France after the attack on Charlie Hedbo, Mr. Jonathan waited almost two weeks before speaking up about a Boko Haram attack that killed hundreds, perhaps thousands, of his compatriots.

"The single bright spot of his rule has been Nigeria's economy, one of the world's fastest-growing. Yet that is largely despite the government rather than because of it, and falling oil prices will temper the boom. The prosperity has not been broadly shared: under Mr. Jonathan poverty has increased. Nigerians typically die eight years younger than their poorer neighbours in nearby Ghana."

The magazine described Buhari as an incorruptible and honest leader but maintained that the former military head of state had "blood on his hands."
It said Buhari would be able to revive the demoralised military and address insecurity.

It added, "Buhari is a sandal-wearing ascetic with a record of fighting corruption. Few nowadays question his commitment to democracy or expect him to turn autocratic: he has repeatedly stood for election and accepted the outcome when he lost. He would probably do a better job of running the country, and in particular of tackling Boko Haram. As a northerner and Muslim, he will have greater legitimacy among villagers whose help he will need to isolate the insurgents. As a military man, he is more likely to win the respect of a demoralised army.

"We are relieved not to have a vote in this election. But were we offered one we would-with a heavy heart-choose Buhari. Jonathan risks presiding over Nigeria's bloody fragmentation. If Buhari can save Nigeria, history might even be kind to him."

We, therefore should be wary of The incorruptible candidate when casting our votes.

This does not make sense at all! You are basically suggesting that the corrupt leader is better than one that is not. This is not true. It is not enough to be upright and incorruptible, you also need to be a good leader. You can be a Saint without knowing how to lead the people, and you can be corrupt and also not know how to lead your people.

A good leader needs to be incorruptible, visionary and full of ability to steer the country in the right way
