This is the beginning of the total annihilation of the northern part of the country and if we're not careful, the rest of Nigeria. it is disheartening that leaders from the northern part of the country have kept quiet now done nothing about the carnage that is going on. what a bunch of selfish fools! |
Politics / Re: The Other Face Of Lagos - Part 4 by AkoEja: 7:59am On May 12, 2011 |
While I am impressed with Fashola's performane, its quite easy to become swollen-headed and complacent in such a powerful post. There has been changes in Lagos, really I expected more from someone who is 100% commited and clean. I expect some of these allegations to be true. Tinubu was not known to be a true progressive all along ie not particularly clean. Fashola was not known much till he became involved in government. However, people should understand the response of Nigerians to this - this is a country where virtually no government official has done much to improve society until Fashola came to the scene. |

This continuous violence is destroying the North (and Nigeria). The North is devoid of development. The economy is in tatters Who will invest in a place where there is always riots? Who will want to live in such an environment? Unfortunately, Northern leaders like Buhari, Babangida are all too selfish to think about their People. What a shame! |
Politics / Re: Goodluck Asks Buhari To Call His Supporters To Order by AkoEja: 11:28pm On Apr 18, 2011 |
Let's not turn this into a North-South affair, because, in reality, there is no North and South. Human beings are not land spaces. There are GEJ supporters in the North as you have Buhari Southern supporters. |
Politics / Re: Goodluck Asks Buhari To Call His Supporters To Order by AkoEja: 11:23pm On Apr 18, 2011 |
GEJ is not my choice, but he won. Buhari is an idiot to not be playing a part in ending the violence. Innocent idiots will just die for nothing. If Buhari is worthy of the presidency, he should have have come out to ask people to stop rioting. I was beginning to respect him, but I was right all along, the guy is a religious fanatic, gooro-chewing fool. A man of character would have shown evidence of leadership by now. What a not-so-smart person! |

Alitheia, I am apalled by your statement, and you claim to be a doctor working engaged in HIV management. How can you say this, and I quote Don't be silly. I guess you probably just googled some facts about HIV. FYI: I work with HIV patients as a doctor in an ambulatory care center in Nigeria. So don't think you can play those games with me. Go find out the natural history of HIV infection. How can somebody conceive a virus infection? Is it a baby? Brush up on your English, if you are a doctor, then you should be able to speak and write the language you learnt Medicine in! The word to Use are , , after acquiring; after contracting the disease , or , , after infection with the virus. The facts are : A HIV positive person have the virus in their body, and may not show signs of illness for some time - months or years. They can transmit it to another person during this time. So, that stunning girl or boy you are infatuated with may be HIV positive. The only way to know is through a blood test. A person with AIDS is HIV positive and additionally has symptoms of the illness - fever, diarrhoea, weight loss etc . This is the way you should have explained it if truly you are a doctor working with HIV-positive patients |
Travel / Re: African Migrants Abandon The American Dream by AkoEja: 1:14pm On Apr 10, 2011 |
@Redman44, thanks for spitting out the bitter truth here, I wonder where people got their false stories about Continental Europe from. the UK is the worst country for immigrants in europe. some people come here and tell huge lies that will continue to deceive Nigerians at home. 90% of Nigerians that have settled in France, Germany or Holland are far better than the ones in the UK. I was deceived as well until I lived there for 4 good years, I left Germany with my wife and kids and we moved to the UK. I´ve 3 brothers and a sister in the UK, with family houses in London & Glasgow respectively so nobody can tell me anthing new about the UK. Bavarian is mostly right, but he has exagerated a lot.[/color] I have lived in the UK for 16 years, so I know what I am talking about. UK is not as dangerous as he has put it, but some parts are. If you are not the best in your chosen field and your area of expertice is not in demand, you will almost never get a proper job in the UK. The average white person in the UK suffers from a form of colonial mentality which makes them want to seem to be good to Africans, though behind, they hate you. They can pretend to be nice a lot, though they may make racist comments or commit racist acts without realising it. Subconsciuosly, they set a much higher standard when assesing a non-white person, so you have to be better than their best to get an average mark. At University or college for example, an assignment that should get an A * might manage a D or C, so if you are normally worth a B or C, you will fail, unless you are lucky to meet a good person marking your assignment. But legally, the law is much stronger against racism than most European countries, though the burden of proof will always be a problem for victims. |
Foreign Affairs / Re: Mercenaries In Libya Captured And Beaten By A Mob!--video by AkoEja: 8:44pm On Feb 28, 2011 |
The merceneries are from Zimbabwe. Gadafi and Mugabe are very close and they have a military pact to help each other. Gadafi bailed Zimbabwe out not too long ago when Zimbabwe was at its worst. Gadafi will go eventually, but not so fast. Its going to be long and drawn out, with thousands of lives lost. Incidentally, Gadafi considered former British Prime Minister a family friend, and Tony Blair is now a multimillionaire partly through dealings with rogues like this man. Nigeria has had its own mini-revolutions for years. That is why today the military cannot come up and take over power. This is a major achievement on the part of Nigerians. Hopefully the mini-revolutions will continue to clean up the political system |

TV/Movies / Re: For Real? Hollywood Eyes Nigerian Reality Show. by AkoEja: 9:51pm On Feb 12, 2011 |
Good to see somebody from outside showing some Nigeria to appreciate their country more. Nollywood may not always push out the best a lot of the time, but things will change with time. I know Hollywood cannot give us the nigerian story however well they try. The Nigeria story can only be told by Nigeria, and Sisdrella is now one of us. I watch a lot of Hollywood films, but I still thirst for Nollywood all the time, and that goes for my kids who have lived almost all their lives abroad. Nigeria need to appreciate their country more. |
Politics / Re: ‘looting’: Obasanjo Drags Daniel To Efcc by AkoEja: 9:25pm On Feb 12, 2011 |
If anyone has info on Obasanjo,, they should make available with evidence, if you are afraid, publish it on the internet, with evidence. There is no point making wide unsubstantiated allegations. Not all nairalanders are fools! If OBJ is found corrupt, he should follow Daniel to prison. Daniel definitely deserve to be investigated, just go and see how he has destroyed Ogun state. When I drove thru Abeokuta, I was shocked by the total lack of development, it was unbelievable. |
Politics / Re: ‘looting’: Obasanjo Drags Daniel To Efcc by AkoEja: 9:14pm On Feb 12, 2011 |
Quite a lot of silly comments in this thread. The question to be asked is this: Does ogd deserve to face corruption charges? If so, then I don't care where the necessary info is coming from. Whatever anyone might think, OBJ is the only president that ever achieved something for Nigeria. Since he left, not much has happened. If OGD is a thief, he should face the wrath of the law. If a thief is reported by anyone to EFCC, then they must investigate, it does not matter who is making the report. |
Politics / Re: Fg Adds 188mgw To Power, As Supply Sits 3,800mgw by AkoEja: 1:22pm On Jan 29, 2011 |
The Northern thieves, (not the good people of the North, e.g Ribadu, Bala Usman, Aminu Kano etc) believe that PHCN/NEPA need to be a government body so that they have a source of funds to steal. Much as I am not a fan of GEJ, I hope he wins the election, if Ribadu doesn't, both will be good for the country as a whole. Yaradua cancelled the projects for this reason, as these people can barely see beyond their noses. |

To me, this guy is a complete not-so-smart person; nothing he has done can make me call him a genius. He is just a thief! If you are good with technology, there is nothing special in what he did. I am not a criminal, and will never use my knowledge to defraud anyone. If I did, I would surpass him easily. The only reason he was so successful is because he a complete criminal, with no iota of conscience; which allows him to operate as freely as he wanted No one should be proud of such a negative personality . He is not a genius, but a fool! And a fool and his money are soon parted, you will see |

Politics / Re: Please Save My Diabetes Cure Discovery From Nigerian Corruption by AkoEja: 8:47am On Nov 05, 2010 |
There are two possibilities here; 1. The guy is correct and telling the truth; AND 2. The guy is wrong, but in his head, he is telling the truth . If no 2 is the answer, then he is probably suffering from a psychiatric condition which make people develop what psychiatrists call grandiose delusions. This is called mania - a form of bipolar disorder . In people with mania , confidence and self-esteem are excessively enlarged, and grand, extravagant ideas are frequently expressed.(like finding cure for AIDS, cancer, diabetes etc; Google for more info on mania) . In the manic state, sufferers lay claim to these over-exagerated abilities, and will make everyone in sight aware of their claim, which however cannot be substantiated. I suspect my second point is what is wrong here. As at this moment, ther is no cure for diabetes, only control. You also cannot 'cure' some toothache -for example, a completely decayed tooth usually may need removal surgically, and replcement with an implant - that is the only cure possible. There is no medicine that can bring back a dead tissue. Toothache is not a disease, its just a symptom of the condition, which in some cases will be as a result of infection. It is very likely that this guy is suffering from manic depressive psychosis, and his relatives should get him to see a psychiatrist fast. |

Politics / Re: Obasanjo Is Pdp’s Biggest Mistake- Atiku by AkoEja: 9:25am On Oct 16, 2010 |
Atiku is right. Those hoping for PDP to bring out a credible candidate should forget it. This cannot happen. Any party is like a gang. We have good gangs and bad gangs. If we agree PDP is a bad gang, then whoever they elect as their leader need to be bad; hence we should not expect a good leader to come out of a bunch of rougues like PDP. Sometimes a bad gang makes a mistake, and they elect a leader not as bad as they want, or a gang of good people can sometimes infiltrate a bad gang, they then try to change this bad gang from inside. Unfortunately, this can be very difficult, and will lead to a lot internal struggle within the gang. This is what is happening at the moment at PDP, making them look to the fore-fathers of the gang to save it before they lose their way. Hence the need for people like IBB, Atiku etc to return to the fold, to save the gang from being hijacked by people who are not up to their standard (of stealing, killing etc). Obasanjo could definitely be called PDP's biggest mistake, as he was not totally true to the dictates of the gang, and has significantly shifted power bases around. You can imagine the disgust from gang supremos like IBB, Atiku etc seen somebody like Akinyili, Ribadu, Nkonjo Iweala etc gallivanting about, and enjoying the limelight at the expense of cronies of IBB, Atiku etc. That is why I think Atiku is correct, Obasanjo was really PDP's biggest mistake, even though Obasanjo himself might not agree. |

This guy is a complete slowpoke. How can a man of 60 years of age still continue to bleach his skin? He was convicted of supplying ammunition to thiefs when he was in the police force. he was found guilty, and his dismissal was later changed to retiredment through bribery. What should we expect from such a brainless pig? |

Politics / Re: Boycot Daar Communications (AIT) Now! by AkoEja: 6:30pm On Sep 02, 2010 |
Nobody is saying Dokpesi cannot ally with anyone he likes, including the devil if he so chooses. Nothing wrong with somebody calling for a boycourt of AIT because of this, as they are not forcing anyone to carry out the boycourt. I personally have boycourted AIT, but if I am Nigeria's president, I will not ban AIT because of Babangida. Since I am an individual, I can boycourt whoever I choose, and also call for others to boycourt them, since I am not forcing anyone to do so. For me, boycourting AIT is symbolic, as I know that, with Babangida's stolen money behind AIT, they don't need anybody's subscription money anyway, but I want to feel happy with where I decide to spend my hard-earned own money |
