As at the 2023 election , Matewalle of APC was Governor and Buhari of APC was President.
Today Dauda of PDP is Governor and Buhari is gone.

So don't bank on what happened in 2023.

And by the way I am not concluding that Tinubu won't win Zamfara in 2027,,

All I am saying is that what happened with the assembly election is not a guarantee and Tinubu winning there in 2023 is also not a guarantee.

Attached is the results for the last governorship election for the 2 local govt areas in ovia federal constituency (ovia North east and ovia south west)
Notice that APC didnt get upto 25k votes in the 2 LGA combined
Also noticed that the total recorded votes for 2 LGA wasn't upto 70k for all the parties.
But somehow, APC alone is getting 77k plus in the house of rep election for same constituency that couldn't gave them upto 25k total votes despite their deputy governorship candidate Dennis idahosa coming from there.

No governor lost his state and then, social media typing politicians will tell you that a governor has just one vote when even the loudest of all coalition leaders could not win a polling unit in his Zaria (or even come close to winning just a polling unit).

Don't worry, when we bring more governors to APC, you will understand better in 2027. You will know what is called structure in politics and if it's because of the 6m votes Gbajue got in 2023 without a political structure, you'll see that that religious card will not work this time.

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has declared the candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, Mukhtar Rabiu as the winner of Garki/Babura Federal constituency bye-electron.

Returning Officer of the election, Prof. Isma’il Ibrahim disclosed this after collation of results at Babura INEC office.

He said the candidate of APC, Mukhtar Rabiu scored 38,449 votes, Isah Auwalu Manzo of the PDP received 13,519 votes and Sabo Salisu of NNPP received 2931 votes.

According to him, “I am the returning officer for 2025 Garki/Babura Federal constituency bye-election held on 16th August and the election was conducted and candidates received the following votes:

“Candidate of APC, Mukhtar Rabiu scored 38,449 votes, Isah Auwalu Manzo of the PDP received 13,519 votes and Sabo Salisu of NNPP received 2931 votes.”

He said Mukhtar Rabiu of the APC emerged as the winner of the bye-election having scored the highest votes.

“That Mukhtar Rabiu of APC having satisfied the requirements of the law is hereby declared a winner and returned elected,” Prof. Isma’il stated.

Omosede Igbinedion of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has been declared the winner of the Saturday by-election held in Ovia Federal Constituency in Edo State.

INEC Returning Officer for Ovia Federal Constituency by-election, Professor Clement Ighodalo, disclosed that Igbinedion polled a total of 77,053 votes to emerge the winner of the election.

Johnny Aikpitanyi, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, got 3,838 votes, while the candidate of the Action Democratic Congress (ADC), Dr. Sandra Asemota, garnered 925 votes to place first and second runners-up, respectively.

“This is the declaration. I, Professor Clement Ighodalo, hereby certify that I am the Returning Officer for the 2025 Ovia Federal Constituency bye election, held on the 16th day of August, 2024.

“That Omosede Igbinedion of the APC, having satisfied the requirements of the law, is hereby declared winner of the election,” Ighodalo said.

President Bola Tinubu is definitely winning Edo state in 2027. The governor is a very strong grassroots man and controls Edo central senatorial district. Oshiomole and Philip Shaibu are solidly holding Edo north. Edo south may flip to APC depending on who is the ADC candidate between Obi and Atiku. The PDP structure under the control of Dan Orbih will also work for APC. Overall, Tinubu wins Edo state clearly.

The All Progressives Congress, APC, has won the Ghari/Tsanyawa supplementary election in Kano State.

The Returning Officer, Prof. Muhammad Waziri of Bayero University, declared Garba Ya’u Gwarmai of the APC winner after he polled 31,472 votes.

His closest rival, Yusuf Ali Maigado of the New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP, scored 27,931 votes.


The supplementary poll was held after the initial election in the constituency was declared inconclusive.

The pattern of results from these by elections across the country yesterday simply shows that they're glorified local government "selection cum election" , where results are written in the state house and given to the state's electoral commission to read to the public ears.
