Politics › Re: Imo At 50: Governor Hope Uzodinma Delivers 15MVA, 33KV Substation In Owerri by Akpakomiza2: 5:22pm On Feb 07 |
SmartPolician: Hope Uzodinma was hated because the Supreme Court did abracadabra to bring him into power. He was labelled the Supreme Court governor.
Boys got mad and set his village house on fire and he ran away to Abuja to save his dear life. He started governing Imo State from Imo liaison office, Abuja.
He mobilised some rag-tag boys to stop those crazy boys causing mayhem in the state in the name of Biafra. With the help of the military, the combined efforts significantly curtailed their excesses.
Throughout the period all this played out, Hope did nothing in Imo State. I just hope he didn't embezzle all the IGR and allocations of the state.
Now that the state is relatively safe, he has returned to the state to start a project spree and the people have fallen in love with him. There was no abracadabra done by the apex court for him. He actually won. Or let's say both him and Ihedioha played the rigging game and he outsmarted him |

fergie001: He has been very abysmal before June last year. His closeness to the President maybe is resulting into something now but not before June last year. Again, he is not liked on the streets of Owerri.... Even if he builds skyscrapers, the man or woman on the streets of Owerri does not like Uzodinma. Well, they, who are voters there know better.
Nobody knows what happened from last year and Otti is a fantastic Governor btw. leave chochocho, I wasn't his biggest fan pre-2023 but I can say for free he is doing well today. But they can deliver more for sure.... Your people don't like politicians in APC normally no matter their fantastic feats.. Have you seen that Ombugadu vs Sule supra |

ottersberger: There was no glitch, whatever your definition of the word. Tinubu, in cahoots with Mahmood Yakubu's INEC and other co-conspirators, simply turned off the result transmission system (IREV) when it became apparent that he was losing the vote count and that the results would not favor hin, therefore need to be rewritten manually.
This is how we ended up with this APC government, and the youths they are unable to create gainful employment opportunities for are now being recruited to gaslight the rest of us for a pittance wage. So the north voted Obi |

Linzo: I have reviewed the current situation in Nigeria carefully, and it is clear that almost 98% of the senators currently in office would lose their seats in 2027 if elections were to be truly free, fair, and results mandatorily transmitted in real time.
The only senator I know who could realistically survive such an election is Senator Abaribe.
Even in my own senatorial district, Delta North, Ned would not survive a credible contest against any serious Kwale candidate such as Tilije, Osanebi, or my brother and comrade, Ozegbe.
Name any senator you believe could survive 2027 under a genuinely free and fair electoral process. Senators Orji uzor, Asuquo Ekpenyong, Godswill Akpabio, Seriake Dickson, Bary Mpigi, Jarigbe Leo Jarigbe, Oshiomhole, Joe Ikpea, Joel Onovrakpo, Opeyemi Bamidele, Olamilekan Adeola, Tokunbo Abiru, Fatai Buhari, Adegbonmire, Aliyu Wadada, Sani bello, karimi Sunday, Echocho, Sadiq umar, Lere Oyewunmi, Simon Lalong, Danjuma Goje, shuaibu Lai, Dankwambo, Shehu buba, Abdul Ningi, Tahir Monguno, Ahmed Lawan, Ahmed Wamakko, Adamu Aliero, Yahaya Abdullahi, Barau, Abdulazeez Yari, Hadejia, Yaradua, Osita Izunaso, Ken Emeka, Onyeka Nwaebonyi |
Politics › Re: Senate Didn’t Reject Electronic Transmission Of Results — Akpabio by Akpakomiza2: 9:49pm On Feb 04 |
fergie001: Akpabio wants to be clever by half.
The Electoral Act 2022 made provisions of transmission of results though a means as prescribed by the Commission.
Electoral Act 2022 60(5) The presiding officer shall transfer the results including total number of accredited voters and the results of the ballot in a manner as prescribed by the Commission.
The Apex Court has always held that non-electronic transmission of results doesn't invalidate the process. The Court has held that by virtue of Sections 52 & 65 that allow for manual transmission of results, INEC can uphold any of the above.
This new proposal was advocating a mandatory electronic transmission which was shot down to retain that which was in the EA 2022. It will be passed after 2027 polls. Justice Oyewole is going to the apex court |

Politics › Re: PDP: Court Nullifies National Convention in Ibadan, Turaki & Wike Factions React by Akpakomiza2: 6:00pm On Jan 30 |
fergie001: Background:
Turaki had approached a Federal High Court for an order of mandamus compelling the court to recognise its leadership. Justice Nma Agomuo held that Justices Omotosho & Lifu had ruled on issues about the propriety or otherwise of the National Convention hence she cannot sit on appeal on a Court of coordinate jurisdiction.
She held that since the tenure of the Damagum-led PDP had expired, the Party can only work with a Caretaker Committee. This means the Turaki faction is illegal. Can you help the apex court judgment on Sule Alhaji vs Ombugadu 2024 |

Fiscus105: Mr lawyer, give it to someone who leave around you to explain the extract of CJ below for you to read and explain for you, make sure you ask for the meaning of substantive suit and every other English you don't understand.
Meanwhile, use your common sense......if the lawyer to gov & deputy, know that, if they vacate it at higher court, they must constitute panel immediately, won't they oppose wen lawyer to the defendant as adjournment indefinitely. If you had common sense, you would have known that going to court alone will not stop the impeachment or anything except theres a final order. Why do you think they got an injunction or exparte order rather than going through to the substantive suit? Why is the speaker going to appeal to vacate the injunctions? Why not wait for the high court to determine the substantive suit you have been blabbing? If you don't know anything, ask and stop embarrassing yourself |

Fiscus105: If appeal court vacates it, Fubara camp will take it to supreme court(Ex Parte), if supreme court vacates the Ex Parte, the case will not come back to state high court for hearing(SUBSTANTIVE CASE), don't forget, it's the same Rivers State CJ that will also assign the case for judge he wishes to give, ........... before they finish the case, it would be around 2028.
It's time to teach gragra man of Rivers the real politics. Lol, the supreme court hardly gives ex parte order sir . Once the exparte is vacated, it's all over. The substantive case does not stop anything sir |
