Garri the 1st: Your name suggests you're Deltan (Urhobo to be specific). Can you talk about your Basin-headed foul smelling Governor instead of focusing on Amaechi who is light-years ahead of your Governor and the Man who occupies Asshole-Rock??

Do you think everyone is "slavish" in thinking like you?? Amaechi has a right to aspire for any office in the country so what's your fixation on him for? Focus on the dogs that are looting your state to its knees and leave Amaechi for his Rivers people.

cool cool
Uduaghan is one and the same with Amechi.. I resent him as well, I hated Ibori and relishes the fact he is in Prison. That said, Uduaghan is not distrubing Oga at the top like the arrogant dark hole called Ameachi... A leader does not speak too often or too loud, that is a big weakness, what do you expect from a hobo to a king?

PoliticsWe’ll Kick Out Kidnappers From Lagos– Police Commissioner (lekki Kidnapping) by akpomeme(op): 10:26am On Jun 20, 2013
http://thecitizenng.com/other-news/well-kick-out-kidnappers-from-lagos-police-commissioner/

The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Umar Manko, has reiterated the determination of the police to stamp out kidnapping in the state.

Manko, who was represented by the Deputy Commissioner of Police (Admin), Mr. Felix Ogundeji, at the inauguration of the Lekki Police post, made this assertion in Lagos on Wednesday.

The new police post, which was refurbished by a telecoms company, Airtel Nigeria, was also given a new Hilux patrol van and a 20 KVA generator.

Manko said, “I want to assure you that in Lagos State, we are up to the task. We have reduced their sense of impunity; if they dare do it, we will get them. They cannot go scot-free.

“Anytime they strike, we fish them out and we are still flushing them out. Very soon, they will be out of Lagos State. Just wait and see.”

The commissioner further added that increased crime rate in the country was not a result of poverty or unemployment but deficiency in the national values.

He said, “If we say it is poverty that is responsible for this, check on the background of some criminals, you’ll discover that they are from rich families.

“Again, we say it is unemployment. How do we explain where someone working in the bank still collaborate with criminals to rob his company? The truth is that our values system is built on materialism and the structures are not in place to correct this.”

In his remarks, the President of the Lekki Residents Association, Mr. WoleAkala, raised the alarm over the increase in activities of kidnappers after the opening of the new Lekki Bridge.

Akala said kidnappers now fed fat on the residents and appealed to the police to come to their rescue.

Chief Executive Officer, Airtel, Mr. Segun Ogunsanya, explained that the firm decided to refurbish the station and donate the van and generator to enable the Lekki residents to have a peaceful environment for communication.

He said it was part of the firm’s community service.

Godman_n: Honestly, we all should be ashamed when the office of the presidency is disrespected. Whoever brings the office to disrepute should be punished.

But what can we do when the very people that occupies the office are the chief culprits? What can we do when the greatest office that should be our centre of refinement has been made to drag us down? What can we do when the worst sorts among us occupy that office? What do we do when common criminals who loot our land dry occupy the office?

I think the punishment should start from PDP who imposed a dying Yar'adua as President and a clueless GEJ as his vice. I strongly believe that Obasanjo should be sentenced for seeking 3rd term against our constitution and thereafter imposing an unworthy two on us.

Are we supposed to tolerate criminals, or fight them? Are we suppose to close our mouths when criminals ravage our land? Who is not aware of the $1.1million scandal involving the Presidency and former oil minister? Who has not heard of the 20 billion naira stolen by the Presidency through agents using a made up land transaction between NITEL and CBN?

Who is not aware of the pardon granted to a criminal Alams?

Are these not bringing the office of the Presidency to ridicule? Are we supposed to close our mouths and our conscious because criminals have hijacked our greatest office of respect?

Never.

GEJ, PDP, ACN are gangs of criminals.
Bro you just nailed it. My whole intention is call for an new frontier beyond the political structure that exist today because they have nothing to offer. If APC is the only option to PDP, we are all doomed, from Jonah to Jagaban!!! after what our eyes have seen in Lagos? That is the beginning of hell for Nigerians, but my Garri drinking friend will not see my point because the thing don block in brain and where the sun don't shine. That said,a good start will be to acknowledge the efforts by Jonathan beyond PDP baggage that he carries.

You are just foul mouthed and poorly brought up... Your parents must be ashamed of you if they tried teaching you true virtues of live. On the other hand, it may be that your parents never filled your content right. I can only imagine that Jagaban is your dad or a close associate. If Jagaban is your dad, then you must be his only son who banged law school and got his father to bribe law school to pass through it and of course you are gay. Everything wrong with the society is what you rep. If you are the latter (an associate of Jagaban), you definitely can't bite the hands that feed you so you are blinded to realities and you have lost all sense of objectivity. undecided grin

Garri the 1st: I repeat, Jonathan is a LIAR & a THIEF. GEJ is the subject of this thread and I'll stick to that. Open a thread to express ur obsession with Tinubu and I'll comment. Bringing in Tinubu is an escape strategy as you wish to shift attention from the THIEF and LIAR in ARSEHOLE rock.

I've got a question for you; If a person steals and lies, will calling him a THIEF/LIAR be insultive?
egift and garri the first are agents of Jagaban.. You can't exclude Tinubu from this thread because it was not GEJ who spoke to house of commons. When you talk about disrespect for the office of the President, Jagaban cannot be excluded. He is no1 disrespecter of the office of the President.

The annoying thin is that most Lagosians borrow money to buy big cars and now the impression is attracting agents ofthe underworld. Nonetheless, it does not justify the rise in committing such crime.

amarilo: My friend where is your sense? Ok lemme break it down for you thou you might not be guilty of the offence. Most Nigerias in here call your president slowpoke, and he(slowpoke) rule over them right?. From my first post it shows that all Nigerians are slowpoke since they are being ruled by a slowpoke. I have never seen where a blind man lead people that are not blind. In essence those calling the president slowpoke are directly/inderectly calling themselves slowpoke as well but in this case a bigger slowpoke than the president hence he is leading them.
You just attempted to call me a slowpoke too abi by questioning my senses. I understand you entirely but because these people are portraying my country and my President as a retardant does not mean he is. Fairly speaking you can't be blamed for your posture, however for the sake of records, my President and the people of Nigeria are not slowpoke so don't disrespect my people and sense of pride. This is where my sense is angry.
CrimeKidnapping On The Rise In Lagos Espcially in Lekki Phase 1 And Its Axis!!! by akpomeme(op):
Why is Nigeria press not reporting kidnapping cases that are occuring on daily basis in Lagos. Kidnapping is on the rise in Lagos and the tale has become an everyday affair. It appears that Police may be conniving with these criminals because Lekki residents have become a major target without any meaningful response from the authorities.
Please guys be careful, every day in Lekki, people jugging , buying or entering their gates have become victims. Your neighbor may be a kidnapper. Be careful.

egift: If you have something against Tinubu, create a new topic for it.

This topic is a discussion on "do we respect a corrupt man, that is surrounded by Nigeria's finest thieves as they perpetrate corruption of the highest order - just because he is President?"

So stick to the topic. Thanks.
He said he can't respect a liar and a thief. I am guessing that only applys when it is Gej but not applicable to Tinubu; master of deception and king of political maneuvering. Such skills are not easily known to be possessed by relatively honest people.

Politicians are the same but some are smarter while others will continue to cry foul and try to build a base for a comeback. Between Gej and Jagaban, who is crying foul?

patriot4: Look, if 15% of each county's diaspora population commits crime then what would that mean in a country like kenya: they will see only 2 cameroonians committing crimes while they will see 30 Nigerians committing crimes.
You see the fear generated by crime is equal to exp( number of criminals), so our size is the main factor here.
I agree again . We are all finding the root causes for reasons why the world hate us so much. That said, I am a proud NIgerian and don't really notice beef factors around the world.

Foreign AffairsRe: Yvonne Ndege Of Al Jazeera Detained In Niger Republic In A Cash For News Scandal by akpomeme(op): 7:26am On Jun 18, 2013
patriot4: Define what you mean by "against".
And also why not ask all black people why the other races are "against" them.
Or the jews why most of the world are "against" them.
One of the answers to your ill articulated question would be "fear": by African standards Nigeria is a giant, and the media keeps focussing on violent events in Nigeria and it also keeps exagerating them. The white media doesn't like the black world and the blackest of all countries is Nigeria, so destroying our image is their aim. When a Nigerian in the diaspora does something great then his host nation would not mention that he is a Nigerian and would claim him as their own, but if a Nigerian in diaspora commits any crime then they will say he is a Nigerian, and they will even blame Nigeria for the crime.
The problem with Africa is that most Africans have no pride. They worship the white media.
Most Africans don't like the idea of an other African country getting greater and greater and able to rival with the west.
Many African nations don't like the fact that Nigeria is totally independent from western domination.
an other thing: Nigeria 175 million inhabitants.
Second most populated African nattion: 80 million people.
So Nigeria scares the hell out of them.
I partially agree and need to buttress further that we are the architect of our problems as regards to most African nations being against us. Our brothers in their countries don't behave well. They are mostly engaged in crime and activities that excites the spirit of resentment.
