solomon111: it's funny seeing arsenal fans brag when just a shortwhile ago they already lost hope for the season.The carling cup result only shows that Chelsea has more depth than Arsenal. Likewise Man City and maybe Man U. First team Arsenal vs Chelsea is a 50-50 game that can end either ways. The only thing that may stop Arsenal from winning the league is the their depth when compared to their sugar daddied (if at all such word exists) rivals. |

odua boy: Arsenal needs a strong and consistent striker,Oliver Giroud doesnt fit into that the guy is useless in all ramtifications.It is not all about scoring goals. Giroud has been making lots of contribution for the team namely; good hold up play, flick on to teammates, winning aerial duels offensively & defensively, giving CBs headache with aerial duels as well as providing key passes, assist & goals. You don't know what you have till when you lose it. What arsenal need is a good backup striker not someone that will bench Giroud. Someone like Chicharito that will come from the bench and get you goals. 4 Likes |

Traders and transporters in Omu-Aran, KwaraState, yesterday, said that they were recording low sales due to scarcity of low denomination currency notes. According to reports, traders said that they now depend on divine intervention to remain in business. Worst affected are petty traders, commercial motorcyclists, vehicle operators, petrol attendants and recharge cards sellers, who needed low denominations for business. The traders said that scarcity of small denominations notes such as N20, N50, N100 and N200 was hindering smooth business transactions. The situation is further compounded by the closure of commercial banks in the town since May 14, following attacks on banks by armed gangs in which three people were killed. The closure of banks is forcing residents to travel to neighbouring Otun-Ekiti and Ilorin, a distance of more than 60 kilometres, for banking transactions. Some of the residents blamed the situation on the new Central Bank of Nigeria banking reforms initiatives. Mr. Victor Akeh, Manager of MRS Petrol Station in Omu-Aran, said the scarcity of low denomination notes was impacting negatively on the station’s monthly sales target. odzey: Well, I guess you don't use mtn network on your bb. What am saying is that mtn 1k monthly bb suscription has a data cap of 250mb. But if u don't believe me, you can call mtn customer care to confirm, or better still ask people around, you can even ask Nairalanders sef.That is not true unless they've changed it. 1k for 250MB is not a bb plan but a normal data plan that can be used on any device. |

akpos4uall: It did happen. I was able to view it with the help of water on a basin. Unfortunately, my camera view isn't good enough and I don't know how to upload from my phone to this thread. The reflected image seen from the water is a crescent. You'll also see similar image with the help of a pinhole on a cardboard paper.I must say it has come to an end because the day is now far brighter than before. Previously, it was dimmer. |

The stampede that has caused several false claims from many quarters is quite alarming and it is as a result of this that I’m giving a detailed account of events that transpired. Peter Obi,Willie Obiano and the APGA team left the Adoration ground around 3 or 4 am in the morning while the incident happened at the end of the adoration service. After the final blessings and as people will slowly marching to the exit, a mole;supposedly someone positioned at the exit to raise the alarm,started shouting fire fire fire fire from the outside of the arena. Given the large numbers of people slowly moving out of the ground,they hurriedly began rushing back into the adoration ground to avoid the fire;a fire which many of them didn’t even see. This caused many of them to be wounded and I was lucky nothing happened to people close to me. Some fainted while others lost consciousness. When the stampede subsided,the bodies were gathered and were prayed for. Many of them rose up after the prayers and sprinkling of the holy water while the remaining were taken to Crown Hospital while one was taken to St. Charles Borromeo hospital Onitsha. Many of the unconscious are regaining stability as at now and we thank God that some professed dead are returning to life;this has brought some amount of joy in front of Crown hospital. This is an individual report and has nothing to do with any political party. This is the state of things and how it occurred at Uke. donphilopus: If they draw the game and we win Newcastle like 4 - 0, we'll automatically top the table..Unfortunately, Chelsea lost. This shows everyone that one of the reasons why Arsenal is still on top is because they've been winning more of the games thrown at them than their rivals. omar22: Chelsea sent Essien on loan because they Bought the Spanish kid and wanted to give him playing time.You've said it all. Mikel is a backup player. The type a big club needs to be able to meet up in all competitions when first choice players are injured or suspended. Truly the various managers over the years have been able to find the right balance between him starting and him coming from the bench. Thus he is happy as a backup player in the team. This is something Arsenal lacks in some positions in her team. |
