See as u make me talk again huhhuh We r coming to the theatre of pain to deal with u guys grin cool cool
cheesy  cheesy  cheesy. i like a man with a dream. in ur case, na nightmare e be!!  cheesy  cheesy. u really think u can comr to the theatre of dreams and win. na bruvs. wishful thinking at best.

but come o, how dis one take affect the price of my share?  wink  wink

meanwhile its been interesting reading people's comment on whether one should own a stock u recommend. honestly i cant believe we are even debating this.
After all we've said here about portfolios being aimed at different targets, biult to suit different personalities and different risk profiles.

I don't get it.

so because a fellow investor asks me what i think of an investment decision and i tell him what i know, i should therefore own the stock? C'mon.

I know quite a few companies on the NSE that i'd love to own but just dont fit my risk profile or investment objectives for now and so becasue of that i should not be able to tell another investor about it or analyse the stock with him? What ar ewe going on about here exactly. Assuming i like a stock but don't have the cash right now to own it then i shouldnt give information to others who may like to own it and have the cash to buy? gimme a break.

how many companies can i or anyone else own anyway? there are over 210 companies in the NSE and the number is increasing everyday. If i have info on any company or i analyse them and discuss it here so that means i must automatically buy the stock?

I know say una wish me well and me sef i wish myself well. i like a portfolio i can manage well. i like Keeping It Short and Simple(k.i.s.s)!

first of all, no be get that S-class. My one dey come by his grace but e be like say d guy don beat me to the personalized number plate  grin  grin  grin.

On redstar, after its meteoric rise since listing, it went into a trading range around the N8 mark and has been rising again in the last week or so. Now, the candle stick pattern as far as i see it still shows very short days generally speaking, with declining volume.

i am undecided on this one, it is too thinly traded. lets talk tomorrow.

i am being cautious on this one although the RSI and MACD and macd histogram are not bad.

i am sure u know the fundamentals of unity arent good. PE is more than double the sector average etc.
there are also rumors of a P.O or is it confirmed sef.

as i've told crazyT, if i were to buy it for speculating purposes, i would wait to see the market on monday for signs of positivity. i think it may be getting to its lowest levels now and it may be an opportunity to buy come next week if the upswing is confirmed by monday's results

", Under the law, Ogebe has ceased to be the chairman or member of that tribunal. In order words, morally or legally, His Lordship ought to withdraw from the tribunal. Morally, whichever way the judgment goes, motivations will be read to it. Legally, once a trial judge is appointed to an appellate court, the moment that appointment is made, he ceases to function in the former court”, he said.
Citing a similar case, Falana said in the Supreme Court case of Ogbonyiya vs Obi Okudo, the Hon. Justice Philip Nnaemeka-Agwu was appointed to the Court of Appeal on the 15th of June 1977 and “two days later, on June 17th, he read a judgment in a case which he had concluded. The judgment was set aside by the Supreme Court, notwithstanding that he has not been sworn-in as Judge of the Court of Appeal because the moment his appointment was made; he is no longer a member of that court.
“If Justice Ogebe goes ahead with the judgment on Tuesday, either of the parties involved may make his further participation a ground of appeal in the Supreme Court, "

Yaradua is very smart. As someone who knows Ogebe personally,he is a committed and strong christian who is only interested in the truth and justice.A very frugal man, upright to the core.By elavating him to the Supreme Court Yaradua has created a ground for appeal in the evnt the Tribunal rules against him.Rumour has it that the tribunal will still go ahead and cancel the elections.
that would be a serious surprise to me personally and something of a landmark/watershed for Nigeria. i personally do not like the idea of saying, yes, there were irregularities and rigging but they were not enough to change the vote. No form of rigging or irregularities should be acceptable. What is not good is very bad. level the playing field and lets see who wins, debate the issues and let the nigerian people be the winners, not individuals or geopolitical zones.

u really think there is a problem, when yar'adua has just nominated the judge supposed to deliver the verdict for the supreme court?

i would be surprised but pleasantly so if he delivered a judgement against the president. it would speak a great deal of the emerging ndependence of the judiciary

Haha! I'm not dressing you up in borrowed robes o! and if the robes were hitherto borrowed, they're now yours to keep  grin. Your contributions to the forum have been very valuable. I do a lot of TA myself, but not candlestick analysis. So yourself, aktopgun and bibiking1 have challenged me to go take a peak into that form of analysis. Please keep the good work going, it's really appreciated.

Make I put mouth small for your plans to accumulate dunlop: since you're doing this for the long term, it would be better if you do not buy at a premium like the cico-ers would. So my advice to you would be to wait until the company releases its results for this year (which would most likely be below expectations) and then take your position when the shares start getting dumped by short-termers taking profit. That way, you don't get to buy at a premium and you increase your upside potential. Just my 2cents sha. In the meantime you can put your money to better use elsewhere.
words of a wise G!!

what i see in front of me using a three-month time frame is somewhat disturbing, particularly the last two candles on my chart
there is a spinning top(reversal) being followed by a spinning bottom(another reversal) haba!!! shocked shocked shocked
however, if i am to use the last four candles to make a decision, it simply means the correction phase from 14 naira is about to draw to a close,
BUT
there are some fundamental bit of information distorting the free flowing market movement, making a clearcut entry point very hard to point out at this moment for short termers.
But for medium-long termers now is always an entry point, however for CICOers, there should be some caution and restraint like i said earlier.
since the market is generally bullish, i would advice the short termers to wait for the momentum indicator to level out before they enter, it is still in a bearish mood now sha.
and from the volume i see a lot of people sold on the last day of trade (friday) so there should be some to buy on monday (hopefully o!!!!!)

@Londoncool
that fan na antique o!!! grin grin grin grin
make una make fun of am small small o!
see what i highlighted in ur post above. thats the main gist really. it seems another upsurge is imminent. it did a doji on thursday and an inverted hammer on friday after a 4 day fall in price.

U dis man, na wa for u o. i have nothing to prove to you about candlestick charting or patterns. its been around well before the both of us. Read the literature urself. Besides, because it is not completely accurate for one day it doesnt make it inaccurate. i am not surprised u didnt post up any of the accurate ones  wink. The patterns as far as i've studied are accurate within 1-6 days after they occur. I wish u had posted my comments on this same Longman from yesterday as well  wink  wink

as per buying "what i recommend", firstly i have not recommended anything to anyone. i only try my best to respond to questions put to me. As i hope u have noticed, i always speak from a PERSONAL point of view or did u miss that part? i particularly highlight my "I" in my comments.

if u get the money give me, i go buy na, wetin do me? but until i am liquid enough, i am not going to buy stock just to prove something to anyone. Its not my style

Bros, you have the "nominal price syndrome". The price of a stock (and thus, the # of units u can afford) has no bearing on the degree of profitability to expect. Granted, cheap stocks tend to be volatile (note I said volatile: first to go up in a bull market and first to drop dead in a bear market) but some of the best stocks are in the 30+ range. I've bought an N18 stock and watched it quadruple to N70 (Wapco a couple of years ago), so no reason to believe "big boy sectors" can't deliver too

AKT, I hail too.
