Bride price in Opi nsukka is 100,000 naira and bride price in my village in ngwo is 1 note of whatever amount a suitor brings. Even if a suitor brings 3 million naira (all in 1000 naira notes), the bride price is 1 note, I.e 1000 naira and d rest is returned with a reply *we are not selling our daughter*....In onitsha & some other igbo community bride price is fixed @ 25 naira or 35 naira and it never changes.

Being a youth corper in Afikpo does not mean u know anything about igbo culture ,especially marriage culture......being a corper doesn't in any way qualify u as a custodian of igbo culture, neither does browsing up all d villages in enugu

Awusa-fulani, U need to be an indigenous to understand the IGBO culture, especially marriage culture...U have to come in and sit down in a marriage discussion in several igbo villages to get to know the marriage culture. Marriage Culture in Afikpo is 70% different from marriage culture in my village in Enugu.

Meanwhile, divisive and hate comments, spam and scam posts, nude pictures and bet9ja ads are littered everywhere and the perpetrators unopposed as the moderator in charge of cleaning up threads is TOO BUSY as he has devoted his time to stalking me. But it's well...

Similarly, I have been informed by a well-meaning source that I have been marked for a lengthy ban.. Some members, in connivance with an unscrupulous element in the system, are currently strategizing... The plan is to first frustrate me by unlawfully deleting my posts - most times they wait for some time before deleting them so I won't notice - and then abusively use the ban hammer if that fails..

They hate the fact that I speak the truth... Truth this moderator hates to hear... They hate the fact that I fight for the downtrodden.. People that are to me so dear... And most especially, they hate the fact that I always expose the hypocrisy of the youth...

All these, coupled with the unparalleled love I have for Nigeria, have made me an endangered species on Nairaland.

But I leave those dangerous elements that have infiltrated this Forum to God Almighty. If they like, they should repent, if they like, they should delete this as usual and ban me; but they must realize that no matter what they do, there'll be someone ready to damn every consequence to speak the truth, no matter whose ox is gored...
