The following are Primary Dealers Market Makers.
Access Bank Plc. First Bank of Nigeria Ltd. Standard Chartered Bank Nigeria Ltd.
Citibank Nigeria Ltd. First City Monument Bank Plc. United Bank for Africa Plc.
Coronation Merchant Bank Ltd. FSDH Merchant Bank Ltd. Zenith Bank Plc.
Ecobank Nigeria Ltd. Guaranty Trust Bank Plc.
FBNQuest Merchant Bank Ltd. Stanbic IBTC Bank Plc

Any of the above banks can help u sharp sharp with your 50M. You are operating on the top echelon so just walk into any of them.if u have accounts with them but I will advise Stanbic IBTC

ok thanks

But why Stanbic IBTC?.....I have the money with the FBN

And please do you have the time table for the FG bonds ( the date for the next )

You are buying the bond at premium. For a 55M 12.75% bond maturing in April 2023 having a yield of 8.44%,

You will be paying about 60.1M to get this bond at 55M. The difference of 5.1M is the price to pay following the low yield and time to maturity and consideration that a coupon was just paid last month and having just 6 coupons left

Your coupon payment will be on the 55M and that's about 3.5M every 6 months.

Your principal upon maturity is 55M. Next coupon is in October

Hello unite4real,

Please how and when can I buy FG bond directly ?

I just got my TB money back today and I would like to invest it in bonds or something else with better rate than TB as long as my Principal is guaranteed

Thanks

UPDATE ON STOCKS TO BE AVOIDED BY NEWBIES

Please I still look forward to our contributions on the above. We want to list "COVID STOCK". These are equities that will deliver pain to buyers in the long to medium term. I have stated my own conditions which I refer to as test kits.

Let us contribute to this, we do not want people to buy stocks like Skye bank, probably after buying on Wednesday, only for you to hear on Saturday that FGN has liquidated the bank and unfortunately you have nobody to come to your rescue. However a list like this can be a preventive measure to help our fellow investors from falling into some of the traps in the market.

To be frank, there are bad equities that I know, but due to some connections I have, it will be technically inappropriate for me to mention in a public forum like this (no wonder the likes of "Stocklook", let us just assume that is the name, I am taking clue from advise I received from onegentleguy sometimes in the past of those days, have nobody watching them again" as the advertisers know what to do if they are mentioned in this type of list).

Please below is still the current list (I am not the originator of the list ooo, the list was just compiled by me after verifying most of the list using reports on NSE website), before you rely on the list you can equally do your own additional due diligence). But what I see is that some of the lists are already confessing on their own. I saw one hitting a new low and another giving update on a foreign popular news website).

Caveat Emptor

Can I DM you please?

See the truth is Kwara was a lost battle... That's just the fact..

Geographically it is in NC...

Pls let them be.. Yoruba's don't do attache by force

Well my response is not about "attache by force " but for historical fact.

ILORIN is a Yoruba town and majority of people there are of Yoruba descendant

And Geography has nothing to do with it......There are Yoruba towns and people in today's republic of Benin ( Ajase)

FKK is not a Prof. of history as many people on Nairaland believe but just a political propagandist

As per Gambari as COS......he is not to be trusted ( see the link below )

Nobody is disputing that fact.

The mischievous are the one trying to twist the story

Its not a complete truth

FKK is an emotional man, he is not the right person for your history lesson.

its true Gambari is a descendant of Alimi but they are part yoruba too because Alimi married a yoruba woman in ilorin ( so their mother was Yoruba)

And thats has continued till now.

So you cant really call them Fulani because they are even more Yoruba now if you take DNA in to consideration.

But the problem is that they like to associate themselves with the Northerner for political reasons like getting political positions, contracts, jobs etc

And the Northerner also use them to sabotage any move against the North from SW

Politics / Gambari Is More Subtle And Even More Dangerous Than Late Abba Kyari by Alaska90(m): 1:51pm On May 13, 2020
What I have written in this long piece is just some of my personal experience and encounter with him. Everything I have written here is in my memoirs 'Lest I Forget 'which he has seen and read - By Ambassador Dapo Fafowora

I know him quite well. I was the one who in 1981 brought him to the UN at his request as a member of the Nigerian delegation. He was then a senior lecturer at the ABU. In fact, the late Prof Audu, who was then Foreign Minister actually advised me against inviting him to the UN. But he had strong academic credentials which impressed me.

He had obtained his first degree in political science from the LSE, and a doctorate from Colombia University in New York. We were looking for strong delegates to the UN General Assembly and I considered him the kind of delegate we were looking for. So I invited him as one of our delegates to the UN General Assembly. He was at the UN in New York with me. I gave him and his wife my city apartment which I was not using free for 3 months plus a car. I liked him and I was not seeking any favours from him.

After 3 months he returned home and sent me a note thanking me for giving him the first opportunity to visit the UN as a delegate and giving him his first experience at multilateral diplomacy.

However, he sent President Shagari a secret and private note that while he was at the UN he observed that I had not been attending the meeting of Islamic states at the UN.

President Shagari sent the note to Prof Audu who forwarded it to me in New York. He didn't even ask me for any comments on Gambari's secret memo as Prof Audu fully understood that Nigeria had traditionally not been attending meetings if the Islamic states as we were not then a member of the Group. Gambari asked for a private meeting with President Shagari which Prof Audu advised against. I was shocked that someone I had helped so much turned round to betray me so blatantly. I did not tell him I knew about the secret letter he had sent to the UN. When Shagari was overthrown by Buhari Gambari became Foreign Minister.

When career ambassadors were being suddenly retired I was at first not on the list. But Gambari, now FM and Rafindadi, the head of the NSO who had worked under me in London, and was now head of the NSO worked together to secure my retirement. In fact, when I called him from New York to confirm from him news about my retirement he first denied it.

Thereafter, he no longer took my calls. In fact, I remained at my post in New York for another 3 months during which the MFA tried to reverse the decision to retire me. I had done absolutely nothing wrong in my entire career in the diplomatic service and only got into trouble for helping a young academic who turned against me to fulfil his own personal ambition. Since then, he and I have only met twice in very difficult circumstances. First at a dinner by a mutual friend in New York several years after my retirement.

He could barely look directly at me. He was clearly embarrassed. Then when Buhari won the elections in 2015 I headed a team that was set up to prepare a paper for him on our Foreign Policy. Subsequently, Alhaji Joda asked him to join the team. Last year, he suddenly called me to ask if I would kindly represent him at a public lecture he had agreed to chair.

I told him I could not snd that he should look for someone younger. He immediately hung up on me. Now, ha may be the kind if person Buhari is looking for to succeed Abba Kyari as COS.

They are very much alike but Gambari is more subtle and even more dangerous and will substitute the national interests for his own personal interests. I have no doubt about that.

What I have written in this long piece is just some of my personal experience and encounter with him. Everything I have written here is in my memoirs 'Lest I Forget 'which he has seen and read.

It is nothing new. But I think it important that the character of our top govt officials should be revealed and not covered up. We have, as a nation, paid dearly for supporting appointments to high office that are often detrimental to our nation. Enough is enough and this has to stop.

humilitypays:
Op, in as much as you made some valid points, I am sorry to say you are assuming a lot of things based on your personal experience and also making up things by exaggeration.

America is not as bad as you paint it for guys when it comes to dating women or getting married to American based Nigerian women or exported ones.

8 of my childhood friends who stay in my own house whenever they return back to Nigeria before traveling to their villages or destination in Nigeria are all living happily in the US with their wives whom they married from Nigeria; mostly their old girlfriends and some ladies they married after they relocated and none have any issue. In fact their wives still respect them and accord them the respect they deserve.

One is a nurse, his wife still serve him food even when they return too and she too is working as an insurance broker.

Another is a force guy and married to a nurse and she respect him just like a Nigerian wife in Nigeria respect her husband.

Then if I come to my family side, all the ones married and living in the US for years with their wives have no issue.

This thing is about the lady you married.

Even in Nigeria some ladies disrespect their husbands, we read hundreds of such stories here on Nairaland....so its not just about America that the ladies you are making reference with changed, they are bad ladies with bad upbringing and didn't cherish the men they married that much, maybe they married them for some hidden selfish reasons best known to the ladies alone.

America or UK or Canada does not change Nigerian ladies, bad Nigerian ladies who live pretentious life in Nigeria due to poverty, etc make it seem so when they leave Nigeria.

One of my friends I am talking about, the wife he married from Nigeria and took to the US don't wear trouser till date because she was a staunch Deeper Life girl born and raised by a strict parents and she is still a dedicated born again Christian over there no change.

The last time they came back, I was just smiling because of her, if you see her, a practicing medical doctor in the US, she looks like mgbeke that has no kobo but you need to see her achievements and investments and still she respects her hubby even in the US and they are living a wonderful life.

Please stop corrupting already corrupted Nigerian ladies and making them feel they can treat guys anyhow abroad, this your thread is a negative influence, it is nonsense.

And for guys taking care of their home, doing dishes, cooking etc, of course modern Nigerian guys in Nigeria do that.

I do my laundry, I cook my meals, sometimes I wash my cars myself when free and have the strength, I clean my house....only foolish guys today will marry and over labor their wife while watching football and allow your wife to overwork herself in the name of forming big boy.

My elder brother that works with a top IOC babysit his own kids....the last time his wife gave birth he is the one that babysit the baby, changes his diapers, wear him his rompers and more. He also helps his wife in several other ways like doing laundry all thanks to washing machines today. So stop painting Nigerian men in Nigeria as lazy men or archaic or as men that maltreat their wives its a lie because many men in Nigeria treat their wives like queens to the envy of their friends and relatives, it depends on the man you married and also on the lady you married. Not when you marry mami iwota Lady pretending to be human and she starts to misbehave you blame it on America or exposure to western life.

Yes some Nigerian ladies change on tasting western life and culture but it still boils down to the lady, marry a virtuous woman and you won't worry even if you take her to Queens palace.

All you wrote is your own individual experience and circle of friends don't generalise it okay angry

God bless you Sir....best write up so far.

Nothing to add.

Well....it can happen sometimes out of carelessness and disobedience. Look at the case of Samson.... He was God's chosen which could pass for today's born again Christian. But he disobeyed God and followed his heart and not the will of God.

To tell you he was God's chosen, when he prayed in the end for the last strength to destroy his enemies, God still answered him. So some "true" Christian can still make a mistake.

Well I can agree with you on the basis of disobedience ...because I know a true child of God will seek and hear from God on issue so important as marriage....but he or she may choose to disobey.

I'm not surprised the pastor's wife turned into a runs girl. Sometimes, some Christian bro are the architect of their own downfall. I'll tell you why and how.

You will see a true Christian bro, who has been set apart for God's work looking in the wrong direction for a spouse or obviously going for a runs or wayward girl due to her physical appearance/attraction. And then he tries to change her by telling her to stop wearing this, stop doing that just to make her look perfect and suitable for him. The runs girl too, happy she's seen a permanent mugu, will adjust ( not genuinely born again) and then begin to play along until they.get married. But you know what they say about a leopard that doesn't change its skin, a runs girl will always be a run girl and later in life, she'll easily go back to her old ways because she was never really regenerated in the first place.

It you're truly a born again bro or sis, don't ever make the mistake of pampering sinners into marriage.
Dont try to convert someone because you want to marry them. Let them get converted first of their own accord through God. Then go through sanctification by the Holy spirit ( which is a huge process on it own) before you can say for certain this one will make a good wife and help me actualize my God given purpose in life or help in my ministry.

A lot of young christian bro are deceiving themselves these days but they always reap it in the future. Imagine what that man and his ministry will be going through right now? This could destroy his ministry and even make him lose his life or even eternity.
He probably forced his lifestyle on her but now she's back to what she's good at. Hmm...
A word is enough for the wise. Except if you as a bro or sis was never really born again.

Shalom

The truth of this matter is that a true young christian can not marry a runs girl not to talk of a Pastor because of John 16 :13

13 However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come.

seunmsg:
Today’s punch editorial and decision to henceforth refer to Buhari as a General really unsettled the presidency. The way some of the president’s aides have been reacting to it since morning showed that punch really punched the president below the belt.

Personally, I think the president opened up himself to the attack. He could have played the role of a sensitive leader when DSS carried out their deadly attack on the court by dissociating himself from the irresponsible action and ordering the immediate release of Sowore. Instead of doing the right thing, he backed up DSS in their show of shame.

Malami’s attempt to order a probe into the incident today is a face saving afterthought that is too little and too late. The president needs to start listening to better advisers going forward. The sycophantic aides he has surrounded himself with obviously doesn’t mean well for him and the image of his government.

I swear..... I think this kind civil disobedience is much more effective against a tyrant like General Buhari
