Please what's the content of the mail and where's the venue? It's beginning to sound like a lie when I said I haven't received any mail containing the venue of the training in Abuja.

I haven't gotten any mail from them. I was called some days back and asked to keep checking my mail, but up till now, the venue and requirements haven't been sent to me for a training happening next Tuesday to Saturday.

Who said the primary school leaving certificate is one of the requirements for registration? I don't have that very certificate as I never took the exam. What hardcopy certs are needed during the training please?

I live in Lagos but in currently in Calabar, so I don't have my certificate a d want to leave to Abuja from here, would the hardcopy certificate be demanded at any time during the 5-day training in Abuja?

I just got a call from them, do they need the NYSC Discharge Certificate for the training in Abuja?

Some people got mail saying they're still processing the applications, asking us to be patient with them. Mails was sent yesterday morning, two of my friends received, but I didn't.

The slot is too small atmost 10 volunteer from Nigeria and atleast 3. from previous statistics the maximum they recruit is 100 volunteer across 50 African Countries.

Well, I think that's really crappy. Why should they ever call for application when there aren't vacancies?? Why not make deployments in batches?? What do they take us youths for? Youth engagement and participation my foot! And I thought they had a different touch and approach to things, better than my beloved Nigeria, it's crystal now that they don't! They too lack organisation, desultoriness eats into their core too. I really am disappointed. They aren't ready for that socioeconomic renaissance they claim to aim to achieve with this scheme. I fear for Africa.

After reading the FAQs last night, I was also so discouraged to find out NYSC is more organized that AUYVC. At least NYSC guarantees you a PPA and even accomodation to some extent.

To think that all my hope was on this one. My enthusiasm took a nose dive last night and I no longer look forward to the excitement of participating in the programme.

@AlexisM16...if dis is your idea of discouraging people dat got invites for d DPR test, I've got news for you. True, d system is flawed and corruption/nepotism overrides merit....but opportunity, chance and merit still do count. You could keep being a pessimist hanging around people with 'long legs' or you could face reality, realise u r also in d same shoes as a lot of us and start studying to give your best shot at whatever opportunity comes ur way. And please stop d discouragement...it's grossly overrated.

I'm very disappointed when one of my friends (Name withheld) told me he had just got his Appointment Letter with Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR).

I almost not agreed with him until he sent me the picture of the Letter. I'm willing to share the printed Appointment Letter here, only that would become an insult to our teeming Son(s) of nobody who had recently received an Aptitude test invitation from DPR.

As long as I can remember, that was the same thing that had happened with the recent concluded FIRS recruitment, NIS Recruitment. Son(s) and Daughter(s) from poor origins had been busy applying for the job online while their Son(s) and Daughter(s) had been given the printed Appointment Letter already.

You see, this is the situation in my beloved Country Nigeria. Corruption and Nepotism has embedded, transversed the length and breadth of our Dear Nation. It has engulfed it totally to make us all the victims. Well! I do not blame the Country's Pacesetters only, I would rather blame the populace who voted and allowed these corrupt, unjust individuals to rule, developed and permitted a System like this to exist. An unjust, non Meritocracy System.

As a child of Nobody in this Country you can only dream to have NPower jobs when their Son(s) and Daughter(s) can get job offers from fine and lucrative Government Agencies like DPR, Navy and NIS while from the comfort of their bed.

So Pathetic!!!

Two of my former classmates, one in Kaduna, the other in Abuja, both have gotten their appointment letters already.

This recruitment exercise is just to fulfill all righteousness. I laughed at myself that I almost cried in pain when I was shown the appointment letter via Messenger on Facebook because I refused to believe.

Well, you all can carry on with these aptitude tests, their bosses said it's regret mail for the rest who applied like normal people do.

Some folks have gotten their appointment letters already. The ogas at the top bragged saying "recruitment has to be advertised since that's what everyone wants."

I would want to reiterate that in my own opinion certificate is different from recommendation letter...i stand to be corrected though

Lets try to upload letters and not certificate except we dont have any option

Recommendation letter should include your postion in the firm, your contribution, competencies and basically the problems you were able to solve. I am afraid that certificates may not capture all....my thought though

I applied for N-Power Tax, waited for SMS, didn't get any, logged in on 3rd of July and was able to take my test without any SMS. I should have gotten my SMS, I didn't activate DND on my line as I still get workforce and other noreply SMS everyday, DND activation doesn't affect N-Power SMS, but still I didn't get mine. I wrote my test with my phone and submitted.

No SMS till date.

The requirements says International passport or national ID , but what I have is my NIM slip and my face is very dark, no thanks to my complexion.

Would this suffice?

Can the AU passport be used to travel outside Africa?

Can the ECOWAS passport be used to travel outside Africa?

What's the significance of getting the plain old Nigerian passport that doesn't bear the ECOWAS tag?

Please, I need urgent answers.
