Family › Re: How To Honour Your Partner’s Need by Alexk2(m): 8:56am On Dec 28, 2016 |
NairalandDSS: you might be dating, living together or be happily married; no matter what stage of life you are in it takes efforts to make a relationship last. It requires a level of understanding & few tips to honor your partner which helps you to take the relationship to new heights. One has to look for ways to honor partner’s needs if the same is desired for oneself. There was a time when divorces were looked upon as taboos but today it has become very common. The very reason of these divorces is the absence of tolerance and a selfishness which prohibits many from looking into the needs of their partners.
The world is becoming more ‘me’ centered which is leading to many conflicts. The very basic ones start at home where couples fail to respect each other’s needs.Rather than looking for how to make your partner feel loved if you are obsessed with wanting to be loved you will be running into troubled waters. Try to bring about love and happiness into the life of your partner and the same will be reciprocated for you. Here are some ways to honour your partner’s need.
Ways to honour your partner’s need are:
1.Give Space: Being in a relationship does not mean always being together. Each one of us wants some space, some time to spend with ourselves, time to spend with friends and time to do things we love. If, as a partner, you insist on being over possessive and want to ‘intrude’ into everything then your presence might become irritating.
2.Be A Good Listener: Who does not like to be heard? We all wish to have someone who would patiently give us a ear. Try to be that ear for your partner. If you want to know how to make your partner feel loved this is one of the ways. Especially in times of distress this can prove to be a time of special bonding.
3.Give Surprises: Would you like to receive pleasant surprises from your partner? You sure would and so would your partner. Make every occasion a special one for your partner and plan small surprises. With your partner happy and joyous you cannot help feeling happy yourself.
4.Understand Body Language: One of the ways to honor your partner’s need is to understand body language. When you stay with a person for some time you do tend to understand unspoken words. Be understanding and respect your partner’s feelings and thoughts.
5.Respect In-laws: If you are a married couple the issue of in-laws will surely be present. There will be a need for each partner to respect their in-laws. When you respect your in-laws you can expect the same from your partner. Also, in doing so you show that you care for your partner’s feelings and family members.
6.Give Quality Time: Everyone of us is busy with our own work. There are numerous chores to be completed and time is always running short. In all this hustle bustle it becomes difficult to spend time with one another. But try to make that time available. Make efforts to spend some quality time with your partner.
7.Help In Chores: Is there something you can do to help make your partner’s life a little easier? Is there some workload you can share that can lessen the work of your partner? If there is, share the work. Helping is another way or caring and loving. You will not only be honoring needs but also be expressing your love.
8.Refrain From Complaining: None of us are born perfect and not all times are similar. Respect the time you have together with your partner; have respect for what you have and bear difficult times with a smile. Do not complain about little things and enjoy the times you get to spend together.
These are the ways to honour your partner.
http://www.jeloser.info/2016/12/how-to-honour-your-partners-need.html Those who give advice like this most likely are failures in their own relationship simply because they fail to first advice themselves and make good use of there wealth of knowledge. Hope you aren't making same mistakes? Knowledge is good; but wisdom is supreme....a wise man applies his knowledge! |

Sit them down and explain to them on the need for you to start with that despite the pay. There is no shame is a small beginning bro. .as long as you never loose focus on where you're going and the good thing is, it'll boost your cv. By now, you should know there's nothing interesting in staying unemployed. Let them know that it won't stop them from keeping up with their search for a better opening for you. |

Nairaland General › Re: Gambling Has Finished Me by Alexk2(m): 7:54am On Dec 21, 2016 |
Whoever is still encouraging you to continue gambling don't like you and please do away with them including that your friend that introduce you to it. Like you've rightly said, greed is the fundamental factor; same greed that put millions into mmm quick money problem. And ordinary Nigerian want money by all means and the urge never stops no matter how much they have; that's crazy because it'll always lead to regret.....this is why I've always maintain that this has nothing to do with poverty; most people that gamble are either rich or living above average.
Here is what to do; cut all gamblers away including those friend of yours that introduce you into it. Be bold to say No henceforth by deleting all betting sites and even block some if possible....then look for a job you can do while still in school no matter how menial it look like, gather money and pay up your debt. Lastly but most importantly, give your life to Christ and join any Bible believing church, make good friends from there and life happily as God meant your life to be. |

Who are they deceiving? This look more like a rubber stamp assembly doing just like fayose openly declared before them while presenting the budget.
And why Feb. 20 self.. .they should've adjourn sitting till Dec. Next year when Fayose want to present 2018 budget now.. ..as far as i'm concerned, all the houses of assemblies from the LGA to states to national are all waste of public funds...we can always find an alternative way to make our laws. |

JuicyGee: Uhm.. I think I've been depressed since 2007.. The thing is I don't know if its depression. I mean, can someone be depressed without knowing it for such a long time? I'm really lazy to type right now.. All I can say is I went into a deep sadness in 2007/2008 when my parents divorced. Then I had self esteem probs in through out secondary school.. I enjoy being alone.. Sometimes I wish I was alone in the whole world. This morning I woke up having suicidal thoughts (to me I just think its me messing with my imagination, nothing serious), inflicting pain on myself emotionally and it feels good.. I don't know.. Maybe it isn't depression, maybe I'm having a bad morning, maybe its my period messing with my head. I just think its one of those sad days.. I don't know It's obviously depression dear. What you need isn't drug as suggested by some and it's not exactly a serious issue as portrayed. Please reply my pm and let's talk. |

nmreports: I love this. The challenge however is that people do what they see and not what they love because of unemployment, lack of jobs etc. Kinda hard for most folks to love what they do and vice versa.
Nigerian companies recruitment stages and methods, check www.HRtechnique.com Even at that, you'll have to learn to love it all the same; that's the best attitude that'll help in the long run. To find fulfilment, stay ahead and be happy; loving your work is the best solution. Nice one op |

NYSC › Re: Urgent Redeployment Help Needed. by Alexk2(m): 5:55am On Dec 12, 2016 |
segxi1960: Klevotino, missKiffy, Alexk2
I decided to come give you guys an update regarding this topic.
His redeployment was rejected and everything was fine until January this year, probably his meds finished or he was really depressed or something... anyway, NYSC officials this time around called Next of Kin to come get him, even after he got treated and attempted to go back to Abia.. they told him to stay back and just come for his discharge certificate.
Anyway, this is the part that breaks my heart to say.
On his way to attend his POP, he unfortunately had another crisis on the road. The bus driver was kind enough to take him to an hospital even though they somehow stole all his possessions. He's being at home all this while, even Abia says they do not have his certificate anymore and he's getting worse.
It just breaks my heart to see such a young man with a lot of potentials being bugged down by some mental condition and truth is most of this is caused by his refusal to take his meds!. Dude wouldn't even go to the hospital for an injection he should take monthly. We have a lot of folks managing mental conditions and living fine. I'm told that a lot of big men get driven to the hospital take their shots and leave.
Guys, mental issues are real please. Let's not take for granted.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year in advance. This news break my heart this morning. Please don't let his actions discourage you; he need you even more at this time though he'll probably blame those close to him for everything and refused to take responsibility. God will heal him; he'll overcome in Jesus name. As for the certificate, it can be traced from the state HQ..though it should be in ABJ by now but the state can always request formally. |

Education › Re: Outrageous School Fees Paid By Church Universities In Nigeria by Alexk2(m): 11:18am On Nov 17, 2016 |
As much as i have huge love and respect for some men of God, i just can't place why they're involved in building tertiary schools when they can't make it affordable for their members and nigerians at large...it become worrisome to know that this institutions are build by "contributions/donations" from their members. I strongly believe there are viable options to hleping to build our educational systems that'll make it affordable to all instead of giving us the excuse of "cost of maintaining higher institution is expensive"
How about each church adopting a public institution, contribute toward her infrastructural and educational development while also monitoring seeing to the welfare of their members in such institution. How about giving out scorlarship to brilliant members to study in our good public institution while also supporting the not so brilliant once. ...busary awards to less privileged members as well as monitoring their progress... e.t.c.. |
