Curruption in the judiciary [sup][/sup] Let the law take it's course but this time, I plead for it's full wrath. I can't understand why so called leaders in position of authority who are entrusted with sensitive responsibility can decend so low. No dignit; no honour; no pride anymore! ![]() |
Orikinla:Before you quote me, you should've read and digest my points first. Where did I said the "sacred cows" should be exempted? |
I totally disagree with you on this. The change mantra is actually most needed at a time like this when the suffering in real but the "change" must indeed cut across board. For it to be effective, everybody will have to buy into it and make neccesary reorientation within and without. |
Calm down Bro... .I can assure you that things are not exactly the way you're looking at it. Talking from experience, it's never over as there's always a better way out even when you think otherwise. Calm down pls; hold your peace.. |
kcnwaigbo:I didn't dig either PDP or APC cos as for me, the actors are all of same idiolody and orientation but this your statement is laughable my Bro.....you must be one of those who conclude that it was an end for OBJ when GEJ turned his back on him. What is happening now might just be a stepping stone for Tinubu unless God say otherwise. |
If this is true, then I doff my hat for this man. If a pastor refused to tow the path of truth and honour and channel his reservations toward the tribunal, then we still have a long way to go. Election isn't a do or die affiar; some must lose while some will win. |
Fake things and ladies are like 5&6. I'm not surprised. |

– Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has said it does not use students’ checklist in determining applicants’ preferred schools – Economic Confidential a magazine says Unilorin had the highest student applicants – Fabian Benjamin, JAMB spokesperson, said the students’ checklist as outlined in the report was not determined by JAMB The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) in reaction to reports going round has stated that it does not use students’ checklist in determining applicants’ preferred schools. According to Economic Confidential a magazine, Unilorin had the highest student applicants of 103,238 (males – 51, 082 and females – 52, 156). The report said that academic stability, popularity, affordability, available facilities and quality of lecturers were factors students considered before choosing their preferred institutions. Fabian Benjamin, JAMB spokesperson, speaking to Premium Times on Tuesday, October 4, said the students’ checklist as outlined in the report was not determined by JAMB. Benjamin said: “JAMB has no way of determining these factors from information available to us through the frequency of schools chosen by Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) candidates.” “What we do each year, is to roll out data on the institutions with the highest number of applicants. For some years now, the University of Ilorin has been topping that chart, this does not mean that the school is the best in the country. It just shows students’ preferences.” Unilorin didn't go on Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) strike actions, a problem that plagues many federal universities in the country. Also, Unilorin was said to have one of the fastest academic calendars of all institutions in the country. However, in the 2016/2017 global ranking carried out by Times Higher Education (THE), University of Ibadan was the only Nigerian university that made the list at 801. Teaching, research citations of scholarly publications, industry income and international outlook were the factors for determining the ranking. Yet, for 2016, Unilorin surpassed the University of Ibadan in preferred student choices. As for the determinants earlier mentioned by Economic Confidential, Benjamin said JAMB was not in a position to know why students choose their institutions. I wish NA can be scrapped entirely in Nigeria. They are just an unnecessary waste of money as far as i'm concerned. Talking about making laws; we can find a way round that which will cost us very little. |
That is the set foundation (unity in diversity) but out of selfish political interests, our political leaders are faulting that beautiful foundation...that shows that it was never like we are now from the beginning. Sadly enough, youths are fighting each other over those who are distroying our good values and strength. Can anybody tell me what other restructuring is better than what this picture portrayed...this is not just a picture. |
Simply mobilize your church members to clean that environment and the community will feel the love of Christ through that selfless service while your church will be better for that.... .this act look more hypocritical to me. ![]() |
Look at how you painted the bad news with ethnic sentiments....Is it only Yoruba officials that are fighting terrorists? What'll be your achievements for doing this? Btw if you must know, I'm a Yoruba guy. |
muhakeem:It's better you keep shut if you don't know details of what's going on in Kogi state. |
Why did all the judges from tribunal to supreme Court dodge the main point Falake is standing on; "the election was wrongly declared as inconclusive" They all dodge the bone of contention and kept rigmaroling on the peripherals. |

Even though I don't dig this thread as I don't believe you have to lie to get what you want; a lie today will demand another lie tomorrow to cover today's.....but i'll like to call on seun, lala and all the mods to stop celebrating mediocrity on fp while there are quality threads created daily but you keep frustrating such efforts. It took you two years to see anything good on this piece |
afla:Hmmmm. ...you mean same judiciary that's affirming the election of Rivers, Bayelsa and other PDP governed states? Mind you, kogi election judgement is basically APC vs APC but I must say I doubt if justice is served-though that's my layman's perspective. All i'm saying, don't pick your views from what they(politicians who don't care for the mases) want us to believe; it's always Bourne our of their selfish interest rather, base it on the truth at your disposal and reality at hand. |
How did we even get here? If they loose; then it was rigged and inec and police collaborate to do that but if they win, it's a victory for democracy. PDP didn't come out to deny the signature of their various party agents from polling units, to wards to lgas but when the result came out whole, you decide to reject it. How can you believe the results collated in Ekiti state govt house by lere olayinka more than the once appended to by your agents?. ..you even mention that on a national television as if social media is your best bet for facts. I must say this is typical of an average Nigerian politician be it APC, PDP, KOWA of what have you but this time around, PDP is going too far. Why not just go to court instead of blaming everybody for your failure. On the National stage, if PDP still fail to admit their many mistakes/blinders in their 16years rule, admit responsibility and apologize where neccesary, EDO election may just be the beginning of the end for a party that was once the biggest in Africa....for now, I'll love to see another party take over the role of a credible opposition. |
Okay |
linusbnn:That's your opinion Bro....you're very much entitled to them. |
This is another slap on Nigerians.... Our economy slide into recession while you're on excess for almost 2 months only to come back to make noise for few days on how to sell our national treasures. Now you're having another break; are you people paid for recess and breaks? As far as i'm concerned, Senate as a whole is a waste of money.....talking about lawmaking buisness; we can always find another way around that. These people will end up doing almost nothing at the end of their four years tenure...mark my words. |

What do you do if your child keeps growing, and growing and growing… Well, the parents of the tallest teenager in the world know the answer to this question! His name is Broc Brown. This boy was born big and he kept surprising his parents with the tempo of his growth. They say he added 15 cm every year! Just imagine that! And presently his height is 2 meters and 37 cm. Will he stop growing now? Well, most men keep growing till they reach the age of 25, so he has plenty of time to add few more cm to his record. Presently, this boy is the tallest teenager in the world! And he is just 19, so he has 6 more years to grow! Among the currently living people the tallest is the man named Sultan Kosen and his height is 2,5 meters! However, Broc has all chances to outgrow him. His condition is called Sotos Syndrome and one in every 15 000 people is affected by it. The boy had to go through thorough medical examination, but doctors found nothing wrong with his healthy. He has all chances of living a long and happy life. Certainly, some measure of incontinence is guaranteed for the giant!

doskie:Guy, first try lower stages jor.. ..stage 20 isn't for you. |
Only in Africa. As long as there is no clarity of ideology in our political system, this won't stop. Our political institutions are just too weak. ![]() |
kenonze:Isn't this lovely? ...you can say that again |
This is lovely |
Get a life and move on pls....blaming everybody for your heartbreak won't help you in anyway. |
Izonpikin:Please tell us in three sentence how changing of structures will put an end to corruption in this country. |
Noise, Noise and more Noise from same people who went on about two months recess/sleep while the country slips to recession. If they really want to work for this country, they must be practical about it in this three ways; 1. Cut down your salaries and allowances to reflect the present economic realities. (you're to serve Nigeria, not milk her dry) 2. Advice the FG where necessary; give support to them work together with FG as a team while also affirming your independency. 3. Spend more time to make oversee the business you're elected for; make useful and meaningful laws in the interest of the people, and not your selfish interest as usual. |
if this is true; God bless you for this decision..... Your job will surely come soon IJN |
