Christianity Etc › Re: Powerful Ebos (sacrifices) At The Back Of My Shrine [picture] by alextayo(m): 10:26pm On Jun 04, 2017 |
All of you shouting Jehovah will still go behind and seek spiritual help from the traditionalists.
Majority of you are suffering from misplaced identity. A white man imposed his religion and called our own inferior. We took the foreign religion and started behaving as if we are the best thing that ever happened after bread and butter.
For the records, African Traditional Religion believe in the Supreme Being call, Olodumare, Akoda, Aseda, Chukwu, Osanobua etc. There is also belief in divinities just like the Christians believe in the saints. Then belief in ancestors which is synonymous with the belief in Prophets. Believe in magic just as both Christian and Muslim belief in miracle.
So why are we deceiving ourselves and living in self denial.
There is no direct worship of God in African Traditional Religion because God is too sacred to be approached by mere mortals hence the worship of God through the divinities just as the book of James says: pray for one another because the prayer of a righteous man answers more.
May Olodumare give us wisdom to appreciate our own and stop running around foreign things. |
Phones › Re: MTN Reacts Over The Sudden Price Increase Of Recharge Cards by alextayo(m): 8:54pm On May 12, 2017 |
A little enlightenment Mobile Networks does not print recharge cards for all customers. They sell logical pins to distributors who will in turn print it out as recharge vouchers. Thereafter, they sell to dealers who in turn sell to sub-dealers. The sub-dealers also sell to the retailers who in turn sell to me and you. The increase may not necessarily come from MTN, but they can sanction distributors or dealers who arbitrarily inflated recharge price. Take for example, if a distributor got N100 recharge pin at the rate of N90, he is responsible for the printing and may sell to dealers at N95, dealers will sell to subdealers at N98.........then how much will subdealers and retailers sell ?? When the distributors and dealers have taken all the profit. I was once in this business. |

Honestly I don't understand what the problem is with all these toddlers playing this stupid, idiotic tribalism game. Instead of you people to channel your brain to constructive, informative and educative arguments, you all are here displaying your immaturity.
Whether you are a Yoruba, Igbo, Hausa or whatever tribe, you don't know where you will be tomorrow or who will help you in life. I guess most of you are still eating from your mother's pot, that's why you have all the time in the world to exhibit your ttibal bigotry.
May God help all of you to realise your stupidity. |

Bros, if na the Osun wey me travel go on Saturday, the express way full of potholes. Motorists doesn't avoid the potholes, they only choose which one to enter. The road from Ikire to the picture of the roundabout you posted is hell.
On a good note, the schools are well spaced with large fields. I also noticed that the schools are not close to the main road and the environment is really conducive for learning.
Truth be told, most of the schools still have the Old RCM structures (Roman Catholic Mission).
At OP, the pictures you gave us is that of a road under construction as at this weekend. There are still loads of work to be done. I gave Osun road 55% |

madapcmod: All of u attacking that FOOL ipobexposed are hypocrites. I can see most of you are now sensible enough to know that goat is causing more harm on nairaland than good.
In his usual orgasmic attack on Igbo's and ipob, he saw Igbo name reporting d issue and launch his usual senseless attacks with the hope to get the usual "likes" from his fellow bigot Yoruba's, but it happened the ipobs he wanted to taunt are d ones demanding for justice for the Yoruba woman.
On several occasions, this same moniker will taunt and celebrate d death of biafran agitators and if u reply him, u get banned from fellow bigot mods. The mad dude spams every thread with anti Biafra news, making most thread lose d essence of discussion, yet biafran agitators are quickly banned when they open pro Biafra threads.
I am amazed at d level of hypocrisy here, if u never cautioned this guy before for taunting dead Biafra agitators and u are doing same now, u r the problem of Nigeria.
No life is more important, u hate them, u write rubbish about them but u want them to b in same one Nigeria with u.
Police excesses and brutality must b condemned by all. No sacred cows. Same ipob u r taunting is d same demanding for justice for a Yoruba.
RIP woman, Nigeria I weep for u Bros cool down nah.......must everything be about tribal attack ? Didn't you notice that no Yoruba nairalander supported his idiotic comment? I am Yoruba and I gave him a piece of my mind. Threading the same tribal attack path with him makes you no better than him. |

I was a January 2009 intake with Mactay consulting as the vendor that outsourced us to MTN as CCR's. At the completion of our training at Apapa, some of us are transferred to U-Connect, a company we knew nothing about. Sometimes in April 2009, I resumed for morning shift at the MTN VGC Lekki office. Two hours later I received a call from the HR asking me what happened at the meeting we had with the CEO Akin Braithwaite a day before and I told them nothing happened. I was then told that I and some other staff have been dropped without any reason. Up till date, HR could not explain why we were sacked.
Some guys in HR and QA suggested we sue them to court but legal cost made me dropped the idea.
I chose a career path afterwards and I'm a professional in my line with series of certifications and international professional memberships. |

Blackkie: You are absolutely WRONG! OfoIgbo: You are very correct. Let me put it more succinctly. Eze Nri was both a king and chief priest in the four principal Nri towns, but he was only a chief priest in non-Nri Igbo towns. His priestly dominion even extended to Benin and Igala provinces millionaireman: Igwe of Orlu - is there any Igbo that doesn't know about the Igwe of Orlu? The most famous Igwe of Orlu was a Senator that represented Orlu senatorial district in the first republic. Until he died a few years ago, traditional rulers from different parts of Nigeria, including the Emir of Kano, came to Orlu nearly every year he celebrated his years on the throne. His son that was about to take over his stool unfortunately died a Supreme Court judge. A very relatively young son of the judge - a medical practioner - is the Igwe of Orlu today. He doesn't get much into politics, perhaps that's why the likes of chino/OdenigboAroli the politician may not have heard about him. Meanwhile, it's colourful the celebration of Obi of O'sha. Dhugal: Jesus. You still don't get it,do you?.Being presiding monarch over a popular growing city does not make one foremost king and custodian of an ethnic nation's culture. That's what I was correcting you about.Rather than note it,you dug in like a stubborn tick. Get this,Agbogidi Obi Nnaemeka Alfred Achebe is not the custodian of Igbo culture nor foremost king, though the most well known,in Anambra state not to talk of the Igbo nation.Learn to take correction. See confusion every where. You people are never untited even among yourselves yet your e-warriors will come to Nairaland and be shouting marginalization when you cannot even be united as brothers.
