InvestmentRe: The Scam In The Crypto World by alexvic12: 1:56am On Jun 24, 2021
As far back was 2017, I worked on an article for a foreign client who ran a crypto pump and dump group. I didn't realize the depth of it back then, but now I know.

The MO is this:

1. Form a pump and dump group (Mostly on Telegram to take hundreds or thousands of members).

2. Decide on a coin to pump.

3. Members all buy with an agreed minimum amount, within a time frame (eg. Everyone buys coin ABC with at least $100 between 9 A.M and 1 P.M.) This causes a steady increase in the price of ABC.

4. Other investors outside the group (who are not aware of the real deal) see the coin, get interested and start buying. Price keeps increasing.

5. The group members are instructed to quickly sell off and take profits at a particular price level (they all sell within an agreed period).

They take profit and the price falls. Other investors are taken out and the coin never increases.

Also, it is too damn easy to create a token/coin these days, so anyone can just create a coin, get a group and pump it.

The quickest way to make money in crypto today is via these groups. But they're expensive to join. The least I've seen costs $1500. Some go as high as $10,000. But you'll make your money back within a short time.

BUT ITS A SCAM! AN ORGANISED SCAM!!

She didn't disdain the Catholic Church. When you become born again, you'll discover that there are certain things that you may never get to learn about in the Catholic church; things that are essential to a deeper spiritual life. It's the truth.
There is no honest catholic who listens to Apostle Selman, Orokpo, etc. and will not hunger for more.

Ladyhippolyta88:
All these Pentecostal churches and their disdain for the Catholic church is something else.
Op has been brainwashed and fed lies and she has become a fanatic.I agree with everybody criticising you because you are the problem.

PoliticsRe: Lai Mohammed Inspects Tallest Nigerian Flag Pole In Jigawa (Photos) by alexvic12: 8:38am On Jun 22, 2021
Again, unprofessional journalism stirs unnecessary insults.

HE DID NOT GO THERE TO INSPECT A FLAG!
He went to commission an Agro-based project and decided to inspect the flag which was about there. How is that a crime?

I don't support this government, but petty things like this should not be taken to heart. This is sensational journalism.

Think of this:
If you were invited to commission a project and you found something interesting there would it be a crime to inspect it for yourself?

Get a grip of your emotions, guys!

Just like Hisbah and other similar organizations that get money directly or indirectly from the state governments (grants, gifts, etc.) but still go ahead to destroy loads of beer from companies that pay tax to the governments.

SportsRe: Ashley Young Returns To Aston Villa On Free Transfer From Internazionale by alexvic12: 11:57am On Jun 18, 2021
Damn! Villa had quite a squad then! It was always a joy watching them play.
The pace of Ashley young and Heskey. The strength, pace, and skill of Agbonlahor.
Petrov (I took his name as a nickname), Al (Albrighton), and my mannest man Reo-Coker!

mansakhalifa:
And this takes me right back to those days when Villa had the likes Ashley Young, Gabriel Agbonlahor(star striker), Luke Young, Gardner, Reo-Coker, Heskey, Petrov, Zat Knight, Sidwell, Albrighton, Brad Friedel, Guzan ...

Who else did I leave out?

But that was the best Villa squad ever (at least the best I ever saw) and the always gave all the teams in the top 4 a good challenge.

Manager was Martin O'Neill, the bespectacled Irishman.

Those were the days. Villa will never see a squad like that again. No be swear.
PoliticsRe: Senator Urhoghide: Civil Servants Steal Nigeria’s Wealth Not Politicians by alexvic12: 7:33am On Jun 18, 2021
This is so true!

The average Nigeria will steal money if he/she has the chance.

Mind you, stealing isn't just the removal and subsequent cover-up of money meant for someone else/another purpose. It also entails receiving salaries that you are not worth.

Go to the job section. Have you seen how people are lobbying to buy or get jobs they may not be qualified for simply because the pay is good?

Go to FIRS offices around the country. You will find so many people 'working' there without distinct duties or approved portfolios. Many are there collecting salaries without doing anything serious.

How about the permanent secretaries and finance officers? They are demi-gods who control the ministries and now money even without the knowledge of ministers.

How about the medical insurance scams? People in huge government establishments (e.g. CBN) may connive with the medical officers to submit fake health reports and get recommended for overseas treatment. They move millions of naira in this way and yet it is an open secret.

Yes, POLITICIANS STEAL but CIVIL SERVANTS STEAL TOO!

In the ministry of Mines and Steel years back, retirees of a particular year found that the money being deducted from their monthly salaries for years that was meant to be paid into their Pencom (Pension Commission) accounts was not paid for some periods.

The then minister expressed shock and sadness. No doubt he was innocent of it. But can the permanent secretary of that period claim innocence?

Again, after the privatisation of NEPA, it was discovered at the mining community in Kogi state (Under the Federal Civil Service) that the electricity bill deducted from the monthly salaries of over 500 staff for years was never remitted to NEPA account in full.
Power was disconnected and the communities were in darkness for many months.

Finally, they worked out a payment plan; families could pay cash monthly and get receipts.
Guess what? Nearly a year later power was disconnected again! Why? The new payments made (the least was N1,500 monthly, some had as high as N5,000) was never remitted to the PHCN. They cut power for some months before the situation was arrested and a safe method put in place.

Who was in charge of that? Politicians? Naah

The same mining company where industrial cables (those ones as thick as a man's thigh) would be stolen and resold elsewhere?

Where whole transformer units were 'stolen' even with security posted there?

Where huge mounds of concentrated iron ore were shipped away in trailers and sold?

See, the day we decide to sanitize the civil service is the day that we will have a sane country.
Do you think politicians can just do evil things without conniving civil servants?

Who arranged the 'huge bales of foreign cash' that was almost smuggled out of the country yesterday?
The Finance officers arrested in Kano sometime back for N500 million pension fraud, are they politicians?

We are our own problem!

We complain that the country is in a bad state but each of us knows at least one person who 'miraculously' got a job they are not qualified for, thereby robbing the nation of the brilliance of a qualified candidate.

Yet, we'll go to church and mosque to give testimonies of how God 'miraculously blessed' us.

We are all a part of it.
Next time you endorse someone for a job that you know he/she isn't qualified for, you are a part of the problem!

BusinessRe: Starting a Business (For The Entrepreneurs) by alexvic12: 4:50pm On Jun 12, 2021
This is so beautiful to read now! Wonderful!

Seun:
Well, I find it difficult to call myself an entrepreneur because I have hardly any possessions that are not work-related, the place from which I work is not even mine, et cetera. I'm still a struggle-preneur!

I believe that the web is the best and most cost-effective platform for a technology-based business, and for some time I've been in a personal race to try to really understand and start exploiting this platform (the Internet) before others people wake up to its potential!

My cause is helped by the fact that my current 'competitors' are not as aggressive as I am: the Nigerians that actually have the resources to make a difference do not see much value in the web, and the solopreneurs with website development skills are relatively inexperienced in business. This gives me a little more time to get my act together, which I'm grateful for.

But the lack of any reasonable 'working capital' or 'budget' does not help me at all, and I have certain 'principles' that tend to deny me of opportunities. But at the end it would be worth it by the time I'm running a billion-dollar business and I own 75%-100% of the company instead of the 5%-15% that I would own if I had been able to get people to invest big in my vision!

Dent like what please?

Is it that most Nigerians have criminal mindset or what? So, they assume that everyone is like them — cutting corners.

I could remember that people here advised using a foreign name and ip address to open an Upwork or Fiverr profile. I'm glad I went against that advice and used my real name and address, and I never lacked orders — in fact, I get more others than I can fulfill.

Currently looking for helping hands.

The fact that the person I was considering was surprised that I have a Nigerian Upwork account buttresses my point about cutting corners.
