Apatheist: They do not use that much eggs from the woman. It's not what you think. Here are the facts. Doctors take as many eggs as possible from a woman. Average 15. They fertilize as many as possible. Then they implant at least three inside the womb. So for a hundred women, more than 1000 embroyos are created. At least 300 embryos are implanted. About half of them survive. Then about 120 are aborted to avoid multiple births. Read up instead of assuming things. |
Apatheist: What are your concerns? The high number of embryos destroyed during IVF. |
striktlymi: I wouldn't have a problem with the OP it did a good job in demonstrating that Jesus was indeed a drug addict. To demonstrate that one is addicted to anything, we would need to show that:The bolded coming from a xtian is the height of hypocrisy. |
Apatheist: No, it doesn't work like that. How does it work? |
Apatheist: Read the link. You are still confusing things. Let me illustrate what we are saying. If 100 women go for IVF, statistically, 30 of them will end up giving birth. But they must have created 380 embryos. So 350 embryos is destroyed. You get it now? |
Apatheist: My apologies. You are confusing two separate statistics. The success rate you quoted is the percentage of women that succeed in getting pregnant through IVF. My rate was the percentage of embryos in IVF that actually result in pregnancy. |
In ancient times cannabis was widely cultivated throughout the Middle East. It grows like a weed and provides nourishing seed, which is also a good source of fibre used to make rope. ... Ancient people were fascinated by herbs and their healing powers and knew much more about them than we do; at least about mixing herbs to release their potency. Ancient wines were always fortified, like the "strong wine" of the Old Testament, with herbal additives: opium, datura, belladonna, mandrake and henbane. Common incenses, such as myrrh, ambergris and frankincense are psychotropic; the easy availability and long tradition of cannabis use would have seen it included in the mixtures. Modern medicine has looked into using cannabis as a pain reliever and in treating multiple sclerosis. It may well be that ancient people knew, or believed, that cannabis had healing power. ... So, did Jesus use cannabis? I think so. The word Christ does mean "the anointed one" and Bennett contends that Christ was anointed with chrism, a cannabis-based oil, that caused his spiritual visions. The ancient recipe for this oil, recorded in Exodus, included over 9lb of flowering cannabis tops (known as kaneh-bosem in Hebrew), extracted into a hin (about 11 pints) of olive oil, with a variety of other herbs and spices. The mixture was used in anointing and fumigations that, significantly, allowed the priests and prophets to see and speak with Yahweh. Residues of cannabis, moreover, have been detected in vessels from Judea and Egypt in a context indicating its medicinal, as well as visionary, use. Jesus is described by the apostle Mark as casting out demons and healing by the use of this holy chrism. Earlier, from the time of Moses until the later prophet Samuel, holy anointing oil was used by the shamanic Levite priesthood to receive the "revelations of the Lord". The chosen ones were drenched in this potent cannabis oil. Early Christian documents found in Eygpt, thought to be a more accurate record than the New Testament, portray Jesus as an ecstatic rebel sage who preached enlightenment through rituals involving magical plants. Indeed, Bennett goes so far as to say that Jesus was probably not born the messiah but acquired the title when he was anointed with cannabis oil by John the Baptist. The baptism in the Jordan was probably to wash away the oil after it had done its work. The early Christians fought hard for followers in the ancient world, recognising the similarity of their own "foreign" god and his eucharistic meal to the Greek gods. Various sects and even the elite in what would eventually become the Roman Catholic church probably used the full range of available entheogens for baptism, ordination and the eucharistic meal. Firefire: Satan will punish the sponsors one day, just one day.Now you need Satan eh? If you want His help, stop insulting Him. |
TheBigUrban2: Striklymi is just dodging.Stop shaming atheists. |
Apatheist: Mention the wrong part(s) of my comment.this: So I do not understand what ivf has to do with death of embryo.Statistically, only 8% of fertilized eggs end up in actual pregnancy. More than 90% are destroyed. This is what bothers striktly. He never said anything about sperm dying. |
Onyegecha: When i talk about God, i don't have a person in mind. I think of the entity or entities that powered this universe. I don't believe that everything we see just appeared by accident. There is too much order in the world for such to be possible. So i believe we have a creator or creators although no one can say with any measure of certainty what he, she or they look like.the Anunnaki. |
frosbel: I am liberating people from religion and showing them the way back to God.Welcome to the flock my brother. Religion is pure evil fraud. The only way to the true Lord is through Logic. Praises! He has done it again. |
Reyginus: Frankly speaking, I don't think it is. The problem is that we have a wrong understanding of the word 'Logic'.except xtians insist that cars can fly if they pray hard enough. |
aljharem: Nicely put !nl boko rep is back. ![]() where is your slave boy dayokanu? |
ultrazone: I appreciate your view sir, but don't you think we should focus more on the individuality of the president rather than his tribe? In a civilised country, yes. In a zoo like Nigeria, you need an advanced brain. Fortunately for Nigeria, Igbos possess such brains. |
striktlymi: With respect to the OP, semen is need for IVF. IVF necessarily implies the death of one or more embryos. Human life starts at conception. The death of embryos implies the death of humans but in this case it is done deliberately. I have a problem with that.the bolded is great prob because there is no general agreement on when is conception. however without digressing, I would say that 75% of all pregnancies end in miscarriage. So should we all stop fucking? |
striktlymi: That is the least of the issues I have with the donation. I am almost certain that one can get access to another's semen without the need for m*sturbation. My concern is actually the implication it has for IVF.the same implication as if he bleeped the woman. |
Igbo president is the only solution. |

Exmay: Before 1947 jews were nationals of a country with no land mass. Why their land was being occupied by strangers. Can anybody point out to me any Major town that Isreal is currently occupying or fighting for that wasn't originally their's. For further Clarification, Check the Good Book.According to the book with you call good, they were wandering slaves of Africans that killed a lot of people and took over their lands. From philistine to jericho and more. They were landless nomads. |
