Forty nine persons graduated with First Class degree at the 39th convocation of the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, which held yesterday. At the ceremony where 11,731 students graduated, 2,697 students obtained Masters degree, while 289 were awarded PhD degree. Speaking at the event, President Muhammad Buhari said a visitation panel would soon be constituted to rid universities of corruption. “The visitation panel would look into the financial management of the institutions, including statutory allocations and the internally generated funds for the period under review. The visitation panel would also determine whether all application of funds were in compliance with procurement regulations. “I wish to therefore appeal to the management of all Nigerian universities to ensure best practices in the conduct of the affairs of the institutions. I wish to also commend the Ahmadu Bello University for being outstanding in the maintenance of federal character in the composition of its staff and students,” Buhari said. Represented by the Executive Secretary, National Universities Commission (NUC), Professor Abdulrasheed Abubakar, President Buhari urged ABU to pay more attention to agricultural researches, as the sector was key to the diversification agenda of his administration. Earlier, the Vice Chancellor of the university, Professor Ibrahim Garba, recounted some of the recent achievements of the university, including construction of one-barrel per day crude oil refinery, formulation of anti-malaria drug, development of efficient crop varieties and infrastructural development. http://www.dailytrust.com.ng/news/general/49-bag-first-class-at-abu-s-39th-convocation/173425.html |

ndat:it depends on department, but it is in the range of 24500 - 30500. Yea once u reserve a room, you must make payment for it within 48hours. If it surpasses 48hrs and you haven't made payment yet, the room you reserved becomes vacant again and another person might click it. Forget all the essay, just print the reserved room nd make payment early shikenan. |
Favy57:please modify your post bro, there are some honest mistakes therein (makes it difficult to understand what you are driving at). |
ndat:you will have to go to the school first with your documents for screening : O'level result, Original jamb result, birth cert or affidavit if you dont av cert, indigene cert mainly, you will then be given admission letter and a matric no: which will become your registration number. Go to portal.abu.edu.ng and login: with ur matric no as username and state of origin as password. If you are logged in successfully, click on school fees, print the transaction id and take to bank for payment. If successful come back to the portal, edit your profile, do your course registration ( meet your course adviser on which courses to select or your other mates). Following the above, click on accommodation, then click on reserve room, then click on accept terms and condition, then reserve the room you want, print the page and take to bank for payment (note payment for reserved room expires after 48hrs not inclusive of weekends. The remaining are minor details. Goodluck, and yea there is nothing like acceptance fee in ABU that I know of just school fees. |

The suffering is too much. Three much even. Only God knows if by 2019 there will still be people alive to vote. Damn!!! |
vickysomtee:5598 graduated with first class??. Correct that mystery now!! |
CoolFreeday:some schools admit good student than others. Yea and I meant that. |
I still dont get how some people think?? Tons of first-class are churned out from the likes of Harvard, MIT, Stanford and even Yale yearly and they are still considered among the best universities in the world. But once a Nigerian university produce a good amount of first class it becomes inferior to it other counterparts in the country. What arrant nonsesnse. |
42n8dzydoo:brother I will just pretend u didn't abuse me. Nd I respect ur opinion even though it is difficult for you to do the same. Do take care. |
Some might say if she tries such reading style in unilag, oau, unilorin, Abu, she wouldn't be on 2:2 self. Truth is she can. It's all about knowing yourself and your capability, and not every first-class graduate reads 24/7 , at least my friend wasn't and he made a first-class in ABU. Just Imagine what the one below me has to say . |
Bunch of bloody lazy men. |
