Politics › Re: Electricity In Nigeria. by alizma: 9:08am On Jun 19, 2023 |
Newborn27: Good morning and compliment of the seasons to everyone..
I'm not a fan of politics..... there's a question I've been longing to ask fellow Nigerians about this new administration.
Since on May 29th that president Bola Ahmed Tinubu had be inaugurated as the number one citizen....there had been no interruption on our power supply.,.. we've been having constant power supply like people living abroad.... even if they take the light...within few minutes it'd be restored.
In my 29yrs of growing up in Nigeria.... I've never felt this great change.... I'm extremely impressed if this administration has something to do with the stability of our electricity.
I wish our president more grace to function and lead us right.... things are getting better IJN.
How is the changes in power supply in your area Sir/Ma? Name your area make we off the light, lol. Well on a serious note two things are likely responsible for it; 1) Every unit now have to sit tight to ensure they retain their position under the new administration 2) The new electricity policy is a threat to those in the business before now who think themselves to be gods, with time many private individuals, group of individuals, states etc will come out to solve their electricity challenge should the current players fail to do the needful. |

If subsidy must go, then increase minimum wage Asking for minimum wage is a good fight while telling government to restore subsidy payment is a bad fight. |

They have collected money from oil marketers but they will fail. For the fact that Nigerians now know that they have being paying for fuel sent to Benin republic, Cameron, Niger etc, we won't support any nonsense called fuel subsidy again. |

If possible post pictures from Umuahia and let see it. Umuahia is presently what Oti describe it and you know that is the pure truth. Any attempt to say otherwise is a revelation that you have not stepped out of Umuahia. |

Senioreddy: You're really funny o which bank in Nigeria will give you loan using a proposed house as a collateral? Many banks, if you are ignorant of it , go out and ask questions. The bank will only request that they be part of the contract supervision, then they release the money in batches as the building project advance from one stage to another. |
Politics › Re: Video:lagos Govt To Demolish 17 "Distressed" Buildings At Alaba International by alizma: 10:12am On Jun 17, 2023 |
It is a win win for both landlords and the tenants. In fact, the tenants could lost their lives in addition to their properties if the buildings collapse during the day time. As for the landlords, once your own building is brought down, get money from those who are willing to pay rent in advance and build your house back or better still, approach a bank for money while using propose house as collateral |

Most people that learned handwork in the north are very very good at it. I remember some years ago when we take gen or vehicle to mechanic, if the vehicle or gen is faulty but still working, they will only tell you to start the engine, then throttle the engine and after listening to the sound and checking one or two areas, they can tell you exactly what the problem is. |

It's like winning Carling Cup but losing Champions league to your opponent. Is either you are trying to be economical with the truth or you don't know the happening in the political terrain. Atiku personally know that it took Tambuwal to rescue him from Wike while the later had him pinned down during the primary. |

taylor89: When I hear people say one Nigeria I go just laugh
Imagine say Nnamdi Kanu from other tribe
They for don release am
What’s his offense sef?
Let us have our country we’re tired of this shit.hole
One day ehnn that freedom will come to pass From my little understanding, this is the way other tribes do it, they go to the accused person wherever he is locked up, talk some reasonable talk into him, let him know that though he may be fighting a good fight but he goes about it in the wrong way, then the person having realized and accept his mistake will then ask the elders to help him secure a soft landing, after consideration of his SINCERE request, they proceed to negotiate on his behalf and in return, such person will keep his own side of the agreement and that is it. But in a situation where the reverse is the case, your will be asked to face the law squarely. Kanu is not looking for a soft landing yet but a judgement in his favour. That is where the case. And all the time the Ohaneze had spoken on this matter, they have been demanding for UNCONDITIONAL release. I look forward to seeing Tinubu granting him presidential pardon but the elders from his side need to play the mature game others play. |

Family › Re: Why Do Married Men Suddenly Lose Interest In Their Wives and try to avoid her? by alizma: 4:43pm On Jun 14, 2023 |
EriMma1: I've been observing this for some time now. Once a couple has lived together for ten years, the closeness between them reduces. As in.. the man no longer sits with the wife to gist or even play. Meanwhile, you'll still see the woman trying to bond and wanting her man to always be around her.
I noticed this in one couple. In fact they are pastor and Mrs. The woman always follows the man every where and wants to sit where he's sitting but the man would clearly avoid her and go out of sight completely when the tailing becomes too much and only come back when the woman is no longer in sight. Why?
No man born of a woman will try such with me, I'll blank you like you're not there.
Women, you too should wise up and stop making yourselves too available. Make yourself a bit scarce and they'll value you. Just wait for your own turn and then run it the way you want. From all you said, you didn't mention that any of the ladies reported to you. So what happened to minding your business? |

Student loan. First of all our parents need to rest, secondly every Nigerian would have right to education through the students loan. You may say many graduates are yet to get job but let me tell you, we need to change our mind set, going to school should not prevent us from learning a trade but giving us an edge over others in that trade |

uzomakanaki: Fellow nairalanders, please I need advice from matured minds in this group.
I'm in a two year relationship with my woman, we're both working. I'm 34 while she's 27. My montly salary and commision is over 200k with other side hustle i do that bring in funds for me, i also just got a car i want to register with bolt/uber to still bring in funds in my free time.
My fiancee on the other hand is earning 75k monthly. I take good care of her needs and makes sure she doesn't lack anything I can afford.
We both plan to settle down by December.
Sometimes last month she missed her period, after the test we discovered she's 5 weeks pregnant.
I'm against abortion because of the dangers involved in the aftermath, i suggested she keep the baby while I come and see her family and do some necessary things before the main wedding. But she insisted in aborting the baby, reason being that she can't be pregnant and be working. Unless I place her on a monthly salary.
She has aborted the baby and had complications because of the quack nurse that performed the abortion. I spent a lot to make her back on her feet
I'm gradually losing interest in the relationship cos that single act of her. I've kept this to myself.
I just need advice on how to handle this. Cos I'm already fed up with her with her recent disrespect and the way she talks to me anyhow even in public. Run for your life. Girls are out there looking for men that will own up to their responsibility and here you have a girl who doesn't appreciate your maturity. In fact there is nothing like love between the two of you, that sound harsh right? But I have to be plain to you. The lady has no genuine reason for going for the abortion, a sign that you are going to find it difficult managing a home that house both of you. Secondly but first for me is that, any lady who go through with abortion against my wish while I am prepared to commence her marriage right as soon as possible does not love me. I appreciate that you ensure that she get back well because I would have done the same but as for love between both of you, it died along with the baby. |
