Those kids are not broke God bless you. Those who's parents couldn't attain the position of a village chief expect that they should be on the same financial level with Buhari's children. They want to inflict others with their poverty mentality. |

Where would the cost of transportation go to? He just want to instigate Nigerians against the removal of subsidy. Last week or so, marketers where talking about looking for a cheaper channel considering that Dangote refinery is coming up. If there is no cost adjustment to whether you produce locally or refine outside, why where they scared and talking about looking for cheaper channel? |

Family › Re: Should I Meet Her Biological Father Before Paying Bride-Price To Her Step-father by alizma: 3:31pm On Jun 01, 2023 |
MetaBroadband: Good morning mature men and women in the house. Please I need your help on this topic.
My Fiancee told me about how her biological dad abandoned her and her mum after getting her mum pregnant.
Her mum later married another man who adopted her as his child.
Now she's grown and I've proposed to her, I wanted to go for her official introduction and list collection.
Would it not be nice to hear the biological father's opinion? Should I just ignore the fact that the man is still alive and proceed with the marriage arrangement?
Although she said I should not bother about that, but this is Nigeria and as an Akwa Ibomite I don't think it's proper. Although she's against me trying to find out about the man's opinion. Should I care?
What can you say about this?
Note: she only told me that the man abandoned them, but what if it was her mum that actually took her away? If her mother has truly accept you as son in law to be, talk to your fiancee to see how both of you can, in agreement, convince the mother to temper justice with mercy so that she can allow you guys to meet the man and possibly get his blessings. That doesn't mean he now has right to cross his boundary but to fulfill certain things. The fact that she can't forget she has a biological father create a natural gap wide enough not to be ignored. For everything we do on earth, there is a punishment or reward. God will handle the man for not take appreciate care of the girl and should the girl also refused to honor the father, she will get her own punishment too. God didn't say honor only your responsible father and mother so that your days will be long. |

Crime › Re: Adegoke's Murder: Hotel Receptionist, Adesola Sentenced To 2yrs Imprisonment by alizma: 3:48pm On May 31, 2023 |
KunleAkingbadeh: There seems to be a perversion in this judgement. It is more or less as if the girl was discharged & acquitted in this very complex murder case.
How can the defense Counsel & the Prosecution Counsel appealed to the court to tender justice with mercy on her own case in their respective Allocutus?
They said that she provided missing links to the hidden facts of the case and she took on a sober posture. How?
Is this not the same receptionist who earns over 100k monthly at her duty post?
Which 3-Star hotel in this part of the world, even in Lagos pays their receptionists over 100k monthly?
There seems to be a twist in her Judgement. All is well! Did you read the part that says she helped to unearth the hidden evidence or so, have you ever heard of plea bargain before? |

In this life, follow your dreams selflessly irrespective of what people say or do, one day God will honor your heart desires. Tinubu stood for others, he helped many become somebody, he put aside his interest even when some people wouldn't do that. And when he felt it was time for him, he didn't stop others, even those who had benefitted from his generousity from contesting against him. |

Romance › Re: Am I wrong for Rejecting a UK Visa? by alizma: 8:58pm On May 26, 2023 |
SultanOfAbia: My mother is furious that I don't want to come over to the UK. This month my younger sister left for UK and it's remaining me. Documents and all papers are right and after couple family intervention I decided to go for interview. I really didn't want to go to Uk I love my life here in Nigeria tho things are hard.. it's still my home I feel more connected to my father's land. Going to abroad is not my plan. My mother thinks I'm possessed by spirit that want me to not succeed. My uncles have pleaded with me to go and join my mum and sis in UK.
I was given UK visa last year, refused to join my sister that traveled this May honestly I don't want to move to Uk. I know how hard life can be in 9ja but i still love this country. Mumsi says she is really dissapoinmented in me for staying back. Did I do anything wrong? If you are business oriented person and you know sincerely that your decision is purely based on how you feel and not because of one small girl that is crying I will die if you leave me, then sit your people down and tell them to try and understand your choice. Personally I don't like leaving this country for another but I can travel for a visit but going out there to leave is really not my thing. |
