Dude. A blind beginner on NL can even see you hate Igbo with passion. Exclude this post, your past post still hints with passion and on top of that your two-faceness. You are another daynoknu but two-faced.

No I'm not a member of Urhobo, I'm not like you I don't claim every ethnicity in the book when it suits me, but I am from SS. I know the behavior, the feelings SS groups have for others
An average SS do not hate Yoruba but just like Igbo, they are indifferent to Yoruba. Neither love nor hate. Beaf is a urhobo man, a clear example. Ezer is most likely an Urhobo man and or woman.
That feeling isn't excluded to Yoruba but towards all three main tribes including Igbo and Hausa.
I don't hate Igbos but chose whatever you want to believe

I know an avearge South-southern don't hate yoruba. Of course I know you are not the one to tell me that

Also I know any avearge Igbo does not hate yoruba but have a preconception about them which nairaland feed upon.

I have lived among high concentrations of Igbos and that even why I know some phrases and words in Igbo.

I know an avaerge Igbo man or woman mentality and I know it is not hate. cool

With that said I spoke to an biafran ex-soldier once who even has a scars from the war and he explained a lot to me which I understand as a human being.

I would to tell you that you people have to becareful of what you read on NL and how to know those that are tribal and those that are just reacting to what they have read on NL.

As I said earlier yorubas on NL are NOT any better but at time I feel like the Igbos on the internet are taking it a bit too far  with lies and falsehood. The reason I do not know.

I have put myself In the shoes of an Igbo man and yoruba man before. Now I ask you to put yourself in the shoes of an avaerge yoruba man when you insult him or his people. Exactly he you would react but as I have stated before on NL, Yorubas are too mouthy and they would keep the insult and not stop once they get angry.

That is why I always advice likes of PointB and co to stop making fun of them.

From the begininnig of the thread you noticed that sbeezy8 was just laughing because they do not take it serious until someone posted and called them backstabbers. That is wrong, I bet you would want the yorubas to respect your people as well and not call them names right ? Yeah respect is reciprocal.

Lets learn to respect each other and if an ideeiot decides to go tribal, just ignore it. The only period I would advice you to comment is when it is becoming free for all fight.

That way like of seant02 who have left NL would disappear and we would learn to respect and tolerate each other.

What is the point of all this insult and hurting each other's feelings ? No point or reason

I would not be a hypocrite here, I was part of the problem before but I was only reacting to what I have read and I guess I took it a bit too far as you are well aware of.

But I am sure you know what I mean. If we ignore and respect each other opinion without bring the past to every political topic we should be do fine.

The mistrust and hate would take us nowhere. Already Boko haram is taking advantage of the situation.

I just hope you understand my point.
A good idea, since no Nigerian IG has shown he can do a decent job. Forget about pride or the shame of inviting a foreigner to do our homework for us, we have continuosly shown we cannot take care of ourselves and handle simple business properly, so if a foreigner can get the job done then let him.

Alternatively, we  can start a police academy from the scratch and invite the foreigners as trainers, encourage more graduates to join the force through the academy and gradually phase out most of the dead wood we currently have. Training shouldn't take long, (3-6 months shld do).

There might be a sort of divide between the old and new breed @ first and possibly some beefing, but if they are graduates with a different mindset from the pot-bellied ones we currently have, it will be difficult to corrupt them.

Just my thoughts anyway.
very well said, your alternative is much better.

all of a sudden an Igbo urhobo man can not translate his langauge. It reminds me of Dalover as well who claim Isoko but cannot translate isoko.

What a shame. This is how this animals cause hate between ethnic groups even among themselves who want the non-bigoted igbos to be bigots against the north or SW.

Take a look at all forum, internet blog even national newspapers, Once you see an insult, it is likely to be from igbo to yorubas and sometimes hausas (when there is killing in the north)

When they talk they would shout SS/SE and Middle belt as if anyone cares what region you are from.

PEOPLE JUST WANT GOOD GOVERNANCE AND A GOOD COUNTRY. No one has time for all this your petty hate.

Go to modernghana, see the hate

republic reporters, etc see hate

Abeg you people need to go take a chill pill and let people rest. The civil war is what is hurting you people and it is understandable but what is totally unacceptable is blaming others for Ojukwu's and Nnamdi's mistake.

What is totally unacceptable is inciting hate on HAUSAS AND YORUBAS.

It is unacceptable and totally wrong. OK let people rest already

Today I am friends with afam4eve real life and in as much as I read some of his comments here, all i do is laugh because I know he can never meant it but reacting to some comments here which I understand because I also fall for the same trap.

Well that is afam4eve what about like of Nchara, willy.willy etc I am not to sure but as you can see people are not really bothered about it because we believe that life is too short for someone to be harbouring hate.

Btw after reading the comments here I can only guess one thing that some igbo elements on Nairaland are cowards. They do not show their hate in the real world but go to their houses and internet gossiping about yorubas like kids.

I agree with what most people wrote here. It is either inferiority complex or something else that goes beyond hate. I find it fascinating for a man that says he does not have inferiority complex always comparing with the yorubas and gossiping about them or even worse, call himself isoko or urhobo or ijaw to to bash the yorubas and when like of me come as ask them to translate they call themselves igbo. BTW I have not stated my ethnicity here as it is immaterial on this thread.

In as much as no yoruba person cares if he is Igbo or not, some elements would always either compare and call others backstabbers as you can see on this thread.

although none of this igbo people fought a war but the hate their parents have put in their heads have made them lose all sense of reason.

This people are very funny. Well my only advice to those that hate whether yoruba or igbo is; Hate would lead you nowhere, It controls you and drags you into a pit.

Goodluck with your gossips of the backstabbing yoruba people grin grin grin grin smiley wink

PoliticsTonto Dike Blasts The Government On Facebook Over Fuel Subsidy by aljharem(op): 3:01pm On Jan 21, 2012
Sensational actress Tonto Dike seems to be sick and tried of the ugly happenings in this country.

Apart from the recent removal of fuel subsidy which grounded the country for six days, the controversial actress is decrying the incessant extortion that goes on at the airport in Ikeja, where motorists are compelled to pay between N100 and N150 depending on the size of their cars as toll-gate fare.

She sees this ugly practice as an act of wickedness on the part of the government of this country.

Venting her anger two days ago on her facebook wall, the River State born actress wondered how wicked the leaders of this country can be.

According to her, ” the airport was built with the tax payers money but we are forced to pay between N100 and N150 to go through the toll-gates, depending on the size of your vehicle.”

“Some people are even forced to spend the transport fare needed to board a taxi at the arrival of their final destination.” she lamented.

Good idea actually. I guess there wouldn't be a zonal thing as usual. I am just wondering why we cannot have a south-south IG. I don't think a foreigner would make any difference since the people under him are still corrupt etc. At the end of the day, it a group of people who are collectively thinking to protect the lifes and properties of people; that is what a police force is.

I think having a foreigner would only make things more complicated and that is the last thing we need now. Lets have a South-easterner or an Ijaw IG. It would make more sense since he already knows the system of Nigeria. I also believe it would strengthen the ever weakening bond in Nigeria as a country.

It is Fashola instead. Yes fashola has done well. even if he puts 100 toll gates but makes the road accessible and world class. It is FARRRR better than not building any road at all and stealling the money meant for the project. Toll gates can always be removed within 20 mins but the development, bridges etc would always be there for people to use. That is why I love fashola style of government.

If only Nigerian governor can do the same, Nigeria would be a lot better but you would see PDP goons just insult the man with no justification or what ever.
Considering the on-going palaver northern elements within and outside Gov't are causing at the moment, i think they need to forget the IG position for now until we get a handle on this thing. A bold and fearless Officer from the middle-belt or the south should be sought to fill any such vacancy.

Also, is it mandatory that we have to get a Nigerian for this position? I suppose people will wheel out the 'national interest' argument against such a proposition. But i remember when they were searching for a new head of Scotland Yard in the UK last year: they even considered the former New York Chief Cop for the position. We could do a similar thing here, and look to maybe Ghana or even the US for a tried and tested hand. This would help eliminate accusations of the IG being selective and favouring one region/ethnicity over another.
i don't think it has to do with zone.

I would suspect that even someone like Ribadu would do the job well

Although given the issue now, I would want a South-Southern to be the IG. it would really build trust and kill all propagandas

Crude oil only accounts for 43 % of Nigeria export whil argiculture accounts for 40 % and remaing crude oil, coal, tin, columbite, uranium; palm oil, peanuts, cotton, rubber, wood; hides and skins, textiles, cement and other construction materials, food products, footwear, chemicals, fertilizer, printing, ceramics, steel, small commercial ship construction and repair, entertainment, machinery, car assembly. so go sleep with ur wet dream about OIl.
