Andre Uweh: Do not come to his aid. Katsumoto strongly believes that Biafran Military bombed Lagos, yet he can not come up with photographs of buildings bombed or the casualties affected. Because you guys see him as your hero has turned blind eyes to his fallacies. He is a human being, just admit that he has erred. The same Katsumoto believes the account Nowa's parents handed to Nowa yet finds it difficult to believe the account of forumites whose parents were involved in the actual war even the account of a former Biafran soldier who is a forumite. What is the difference between what my father recorded during his days at the warfield and handed to me compared to what Nowa's parents handed to Nowa?. Anyway, am still expecting his photographs of bombed areas in Lagos as well as human casualties or forever quit spreading falsehood in this site. lagos bomb by biafra |

manny4life: manny4life, you are clearly ignorant and know nothing about Nigeria and the people living in it. You are arguing blindly with no credible reason to justify you argument. You are definitely out of your league here.
No doubt, I agree that I'm ignorant, ain't no wrong in that if you ask around. However, you telling me I know nothing about Nigeria is totally wrong.Look, I chose not to be part of Nigerian politics, not to participate in it, because I'm not versed in it like you would mention about Nigerian economy or otherwise; but I can be well informed way more than the average Nigerian living in Nigeria if I wanted to. It's called having the resource. After all, the same media you have access to, I have access to even reliable responsible ones, just that I take no interest in particular and irrelevant issues. Well, you are entitiled to your opinion, I won't argue that.
As for the issue at hand; in as long as Forbes recongnized Mr. Aliko Dangote, you and I can both agree that I have every right to speak about him. Again, Lagos is a mega city like some put it; it's not hidden away from civilization. It's actually if my stats are correct the third in Africa. Lagos has had some criticisms and accomplishments in the past. You and I, perhaps can agree to some extent that Lagos is a city everyone know about, even here in the U.S., even on Capitol hill, Penn Avenue etc. Countries recognize Lagos, Corporations ecognize Lagos, so we can agree once again that Lagos with due respect to those who have Lagos, it can be a subject of criticism or praise even without you being present.
My argument has been simple without pissing anyone off. There are laws in every city or land, if someone meets the eligibilty requirements, then they are eligible for that position doesn't necessarily mean they would win. I have said this before, I know I would n't do it, I would respect cultural differences, but I'vve asked before and asking again, is it a crime to do so? I said this b4 just because it's inappropriate, does it make it illegal?
That's the problem with your kind; I'm ignorant to Nigeria's demographics. You might be right, but hey I'm not claiming expertise on the matter, I'm just only saying my own opinion so please respect it. ok i respect your opinion and you have every right to have your views |

manny4life: Oh shoot, I was apologetic with foyeks2001, and I crossed the line, but as for you, ignorance is bliss. Give me one reason why I should answer you?
Look at kettle calling pot black. Irritating, is a mild word, you need to try harder. At least convince me you can do a lot better on your rant. My advice like someone told you, stop trying to stir and cause division, it's really not worth it.
I'm not married and I don't know how many people sleep @ their work places. The time is 12.46pm, I have like 9hrs ahead for my sleep so need to worry, I'll still be online.
No doubt, being smart is on the mind and abilty; however, I have seen your smart capability on here so far. Only someone who is smarter than the other should have said what you said, I don't think the same can be said of you. But no worries, you gradually getting there. manny4life, you are clearly ignorant and know nothing about Nigeria and the people living in it. You are arguing blindly with no credible reason to justify you argument. You are definitely out of your league here. You argue that anyone can rule any state so long has he has been born and lived there all has life, but let me ask you; there is a sizable population of hausa people and igbo people in borno state why can't they come and rule us ?
I have spent a good number of my years in different states in Nigeria (from lagos, anambra, port harcount, sokoto, borno and some days in jos and abuja) and i can tell you that each one of those states have northerners, yorubas, and igbos that have spent years in those states. Why can't and igbo man contest in bayelsa state ? ? ? but yet they think of contesting in lagos. Why can't an hausa man contest even in kogi ? People like you make me laugh because 1.) You are ignorant to Nigeria structural and demographical politics 2.) People like you are the ones that get caught in the middle of riots and fracas 3.) When last have you been to Nigerian or even lagos you are talking about 4.) If you are that concern, why not go to lagos and contest since it is a NO-MANS-LAND which means it has no indigene or settlers thus, you can contest. |

manny4life: Abuse you? is that your next line of defense? Lest I remind you, you called me a dumbass, and I called you a dumb f/u/c/k, I believe that equals the equation, Please look thoroughly through my 1,300+ post and tell me how many insults you see and the feel free to post them. I can assure you that at least past 1200+ of my post; NEVER and I mean NEVER have I insulted anyone even when they did. You are the second person on Nairaland I have actively insulted; anyway I kindly withdraw my comments if it by anymeans hurt your feelings. When people step out of line, and when they in the wrong mood, you can expect the opposite of them.
Anyway no need for you to be saddened because I love my life, not many people can say that and be proud of themselves when they say it.
As for point, I'll tell you what; NOT EVERYONE has to agree with other peoples opinion. If there's anything I've learnt up till now in my life (including thru col.) and then working, I have learnt to repsect other people's opinion just like I expect they should to mine, no need for all the pity.
you're seeking popularity, right? Maybe you want to be co- mod in politics section, loser. Now this part got me cracking up for a minute; I don't need to be popular. Like my mentor always tell me, let you work speak for itself. Why don't you let my opinion speak for itself? If I have the priviledge of speaking out on something I believe in(which I often do), I shouldn't have to hide it because someone thinks I'm seeking popularity. To be honest, that got me cracking. In addition to co-mod, even I don't get what that is all abt, I really don't think it's relevant if you ask me. If I have to seat around co-mod (ing) fellow NLers, that's a daunting task that is so not worth it. It does not add any VALUE to me; no offense to mods and anything that doesn't add VALUE to me, unless for fun, isn't worth the time and stress.
Again, I did not insult you. Perhaps, what some Nigerians need is a little refinement. I have noticed when someone actively engages the opposite, they take it the wrong way, I only insulted you because u called me a name I don't justified with (now u can care less). Thanks for being nice to me, perhaps we can go back to being nice to each other, how about that?
You know what, I have never been looking for job since donkey years, when did I start my professional career? In fact, why should I add I've been frustrated? There is no space on my resume for that, I think employers care less of frustration and more abt accomplishment. Again, not actively seeking a new job, but I know by his grace if I was, I definitely will find one, no questions asked. I don't know how many jobs u sit in the office and get on NL (even when IT blocked me) I called them to take my lovely site off the list, so as u can see I love my job. can you please shut the fuc.k up you are starting to become irritating here just go bleep you husband or wife and sleep ok clearly there are smarter people here than you |
