Faeb: Look at the problems in the ND, then count the 10 million almajiri's around you and you will realise that it is time for a permanent shift of power from the evil gangs that have held Nigeria backward, Atiku, Ciroma and co are just the arrowheads. That gang of bats and the ra'pe they represent must be broken.
Some of us are fanatical about creating a progressive country where every person can strive for fulfilment, where there is equity and hunger is banished; where all kids get an education and there are no more almajiri's; where govt is listening and responds to the aspirations of the people; where there is freedom of speech, equality of the sexes and human rights are guaranteed; where the state has an ideology that the people can key into; where all religions are tolerant of the other; where there is true representation of the citizen at every level. . . and we will succeed.
We have taken the first steps to creating a modern, sophisticated society. beaf and you think gej will do that beaf it is not atiku and co that have been destroying this country but people that are greed, people that love just themselves and there friends that are destroying this country beaf, look, Gej, tinubu, atiku, and co are just thieves whether they are northerners, yorubas, ACN, PDP, etc they are still the same set of thieves ruling this country day in day out beaf, ACN, GEJ, ATIKU, PDP are all the same can't we all vote for ribadu or buhari or pat utomi do you not want something new and different GEJ has been there for 11 mnths, what has he achieved apart from his wife been caught with millions of dollars in saudi arabia using this nigerian money to buy Gold for herself when this money can be used in this same NIGERDELTA they are from to build schools, road, create jobs etc,,,she think GOLD is more important than this thingsbeaf pls give me a very good reason why GEJ should be president |

My father is responding to treatment – Son,*Death rumour is not true——– Anambra govt By Clifford Ndujihe, Deputy Political Editor LAGOS—ANXIETY over the health of defunct Biafran leader, Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu ruled the airwaves with rumours that he might have died in London, where he was flown for medication last Thursday. An online news site’s post titled: “Ojukwu is dead,’ which attracted about 307 responses as of 8.50 p.m, sparked fears over the well being of the national leader of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA. In a telephone chat, one of his sons dismissed the apprehension with a wave of the hand, saying: “Don’t mind those charlatans. My father is alive and responding to treatment.” Also speaking, Spokesman of the Anambra State Government, Mr. Val Obieyem, spoke in like manner. His words: “What is happening to Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu is understandable. Nigerians love him as probably as no other leader is loved. This partly explains the unusual attention to his health. Some people raised apprehension yesterday. I wish to assure them that Governor (Peter) Obi speaks to doctors handling him on hourly basis. He is responding to treatment. All what the governor has continued to request is Nigerians’ prayers for him.” http://www.vanguardngr.com/2010/12/anxiety-over-odumegwu-ojukwu%E2%80%99s-health-mounts/ |

ShangoThor: @ bold, I would argue that this is precisely the reason why we have to split. Whereas I do not hate our Northern countrymen (because they are Africans), however, I hate what they stand for. The raison d'etre of the unity of Northern Nigeria is to subjugate their Southern countrymen and irrespective of how bitter or unsavoury this sounds it is the truth and it means that we as a nation have serious problems that cannot be swept under the carpet. When Northerners talk about being united inorder to face (subjugate , really) a common enemy then it is time to acknowledge that we have problems.
We inherited a country from the British Empire that dictated as part of the empires policy that we cannot export manufactured or refined products to the developed world, only raw materials or unrefined products. That was/is the status quo and when you have one portion of the population that will do anything to retain the status quo at any cost, then the main opportunity cost will be our national development.
Imagine, they do not offer any intellectual leadership about how to steer our economy into a modern competitive economy, they just exist and unite behind the banner of not letting the southerners rule. Seriously, Southerners have to wake up and smell the coffee.
Regarding the squabbling between people of Southern Nigeria, the Western, Midwestern, SS, and SE regions as ‘geographical expressions’ to be considered as independent states is that they will arbitrarily include minority groups that might not be willing to be part of the country. Moreover, Igbo people, realistically would not want to be confined to the borders of a country formed in the SE (and why should they), as this would be detrimental to their traits of involvement in economic activities, trade and commerce.
The best bet would be for the South to get together and discuss how to co-exist inorder to build a new nation from a stakeholders perspective. the reason why yorubas seem united now is because of the same reason so |

jaygetta: I am appalled! If these posters are going to be leaders of the New Nations that make up the former Nigeria, then nothing will change, really! Its clear that some on here have no clue what they are advocating, are including sentiments in their arguments, or just want to rehash their phantom 'tribal superiority. Period! Some want to bring in previous ethnic sentiments, into what should be a future development plan. Or how do you explain Ochi-Agha's nonsensical analysis, Beaf's (oops, faeb's)rants, or (this one was a whooper) Onlytruth's statement that Edo will not go with the Yorubas, or that most of Edo is Christian?. . . Na who dem go come go with? The names Tunde Akogun, Adams Oshiomole, Dele Momodu,Seyi Olomu and co are from where? Take a wild guess. . . Then as per the Christianity issue. . . Edo state has a very high (if not slight majority) Muslim population. Murtala Ramat Mohammed was an Etsako man, u know? Tony Momoh was born Muslim (his first name is Suleiman). Kassim Afegbua, Mallam Yesufu Garuba, Yakubu Aiyegbeni and Shuaibu Amodu are Etsako too. . . Why u think Shuaibu never left Fatkubu on the bench?! The Edos are just as diverse as the Yorubas in terms of religion (christian/moslem/animist), have learnt to live together in relative peace, plus they share a significant amount of culture and history with the Yorubas.A lot of public figures, and ordinary folks, u see today and think they are Yoruba are actually Edos. If the Edos run off with the Yorubas, what do u think the Itshekiris will do? To those still hoping that Nigeria will stay together, I say to you: "Dreams of Utopia feel good, but reality is better"! Nigeria will split, and I hope soon and this is what I see happening: There will not be bloodshed, at least not initially. Nobody will support the Hausas this time, so that Chapter is closed; they are on their own.I don't know how the eventual partition of Nigeria will end up, but I tell You, whoever gets the Ijaws as part of its share is in for a very long, rough and frightening ride! all u said is right apart from the spiting part,,,,i do not support because i tell you there will be no utopia country war after wars will happen |

omongbati3: Lagbaja2 aka ftranger As usual, you reason with your anus Yes, indeed in years after independence, Igbos dominated both politics and the army. Many Igbos were in the officer corpse then than other groups. An Igbo was head of the military (Ironsi), was the president (Zik), was the senate president (Orizu), was the speaker (Jaja Nwachukwu/Ume Ezuoke) all at once
More ministers during Balewa time were Igbo that were hausa/Fulani and Yorubas were not even in reckoning then Yoruba have never dominated govt over Igbos Obj was not Yoruba candidate, and when he was in charge, Igbo dominated the recognizable ministries and parastals (Okonjo Iweala/Soludo/Ezekwesili, etc cabal)
The two universities in Nigeria as of 1960-1962 UNN and UI, were both headed by Igbos i think you are bad for us igbos in general,,,,,why bring 1960's to this issue when the country says "nigeria needs to split urgently" |

saint1983: I am ivorian and there something that people here don't know. In 2002 the war start at the north of Ivory Coast so many people fled the north to the south at the north there are no business opportunities so there many people living in the south of Ivory Coast. since 2002 the entire north of Ivory Coast is control by Alassane Ouattara and his rebellion. why there are problem here and 2 présidents. during the vote we all notice in ivory coast that the number of people subscribed to vote are less than the number of the people who voted for Outtara, and some cities in the north the number of vote for Alassane Ouattara are more than the people who live in these cities and rebels at the north force people to vote for Alassane. the UE notice that and made a declaration about it, so somevote have been canceled by the suprem cour of ivory coast who is the one who can say who is the winner and who is not and his decision is final is how law we have to respect it. that why the ivorien suprem cour has declare Gbagbo the winner and the UN declare Alassane Ouattara the winner at the hotel call "Golf hotel". Actually ivorian people don't mind Alassane Ouattara because he lost accounting how law, people are working that prove that there are no many people who support Alassane Ouattara in Ivory Coast that why Gbagbo is still there and that why Alassane Ouattara want CEDEAO force to come to Ivory Coast to make War to remove Gbagbo. but africans have to be aware that this issue can be resolve peacefully CEDEAO got 15 countries and in Ivory Coast live more than 800 000 of nigerian and 2 000 000 of burkinabé (Ivory coast has 26% of foreign people from west Africa) so force will put the west community in war because how law put Gbagbo as president final we can't do anything about it our army are clear they will fight untill the CEDEAO kill all of us. beacuse the ivorian army got more than 50 000 troops ready to fight and 3 000 000 of people ready to help them so I want you to see the picture.
Something your have to know: Alassane Outtara is not Ivorian for peace, the Ivorian Suprem Court alowed him to be candidats so that his troops will trop guns Alassane Ouattara is not Muslin he is Buddhist It is not who is the winner or who is not the matter is that Laurent Gbagbo don't obei to France In Ivory Coast the agreement between Houphouet Boigney and the france gouvernement is that : the Ivory Coast must do business only with France in 2000 when Gbogbo came to power he decided to do business with other countries (china, russian, Brézil, south Africa, a 50 % 50% business). In 2002 A rebellion came via Burkina Faso and take the north of the country and ask Gbagbo to live the power. so the president Gbagbo ask Chaque Chirac to help him to fight the rebellion and he refused because for him it is an ivorian affaire the Nigerian gouvernment throught Obasanjo decided to help Gbagbo but the france people called Obasanjo and nothing happen so during 8 years for peace Gbagbo shared his gouvernement with all the opposition political parties members and some members of rebellion (the rebellion cause the death of 5 000 people the entire international community didn't talk about it). how matter the end of the election the France Gouvernement has choose before the begining of the election Alassane Ouattara so they won't give up.
This crisis can be resolve peacefully between ivorian any force will be replicated because Angola is ready to Help Ivory Coast if Ivory Coast is Attacked. what happen in ivory coast must be solve buy Ivorian. the two part were ready to talk and find a solution but when CEDEAO said they will use force now all discutions is other. The solution was to share the gouvernement or to make a new vote so the entire community will see but Alassane Ouattara refuse because he know that he won't because all ivorian people know that Alassane Ouattara is here for the france gouvenment interest. we can even use our law to force Gbagbo to live but Africans what they know is muscle not head
may the god protect Africa! my african brother, now i understand,,,, do not worry God will take control!!! Faeb: Some of you will continue to talk stupidly and without an iota of shame. It is a disgrace that Black people from the same country can institute apartheid on themselves. You fools would make Hitler proud. Pack of barbarians!
I pray that your country is invaded as soon as possible by ECOWAS military forces to wipe out the last traces of "Ivority" introduced by the dead Konan Bedie an carried on by the various madmen that have ruled you ever since.
You people have been terrorising your own people, claiming that Northern Ivorians are foreigners. Lets see how your twopenny bully army stands up to the military might of countries like Nigeria. It will pay you to check out what a single ship like NNS Aradu can do to you from the sea. You keep going to war over your apartheid policies? We will sort out your disgraceful behaviour. Fools. beaf,,beaf,,beaf kai no hope i know you did not read his post properly!!! let them do it themselves,,why would you want nigeria to invade or am i missing something here,,,do you know that if nigeria troops are sent there, there will be raping and all sort of things will be done,,,,,why can't they do things by diplomacy,,,haba do you want the white people to keep ruling us i doubt if u are from nigeria |

Musiwa,: let me explain how bad it is with ethnics problem in nigeria, when some northern military order the genocide of the yorubas many years ago, i was in nigeria. they were shooting at random, they nearly kill me. A bullet came directly at my brain . It miss like less than 1 feet, because someone call my attention because i moved my head.
Many yorubas were gun down , many, we dont know the numbers. They had military vehicle all over Yorubaland station for many years. This is how bad it is. We want out.
so anyone drawing the conclusion that the satellite pictures is not going to lead to a civil war is not been sincere with you. that person is a liar. And there are many liars like that in Nigeria.
Do your friend try to wipe out an ethnics group. It tell you how much of danger, How people are. So you can see the reason, Why I am trying to save many lifes in Nigeria.
So if you dont make the North majority, you would have problem. You are going to go through civil war. now i knw the problem,,,becomrich you need to come to the northern and drink water from lake chad,,,,you will find cure immediately. |

Since they have no brain and cant stand alone, it is better for them to join the Yoruba so that we can think for them
What say you Alhaji fstrange,,,,to be realistic,,,, i do not want ijaws to join any group,,,,,i do not even believe in the country to separate but we should collectively tackle the problem without looking at christains or muslim or yoruba or igbo or hausa etc all that would not help us but it would just create more problems for us |

Faeb: I am really appalled at the level of political ignorance by some of our brothers from the SW (dayokanu, lagbaja etc). For some strange reason, they feel that the old Midwest (or parts of it) will find their way into Oduduwa. The very same Midwest that bolted from the SW? We do not appreciate any form of overbearing dominance by any large ethnic group that has not grasped the meaning of true federalism and imagines their population will equate to total political control. It is quite clear that some have no clue as to why todays Nigeria is failing; even though, God in his infinite wisdom has ensured that Nigeria is kept alive by the SS minorities, some are still too blind to see an equitable way out. Tribalism is for fools.
As for Udezue's partitioning of the Itsekiri with the Yoruba, it seems a physical impossibility, because there are vast Ijaw territories between the Itsekiri and the Yoruba. More than that however, is the fact that the problems between the Urhobo and Ijaw against the Itsekiri are easily resolvable (as evidenced by current Delta state politics); especially when it is realised that they were created when we were part of the Western region. Yes, the Warri problem was created by a tribalistic Western region leader (who like some from that region today, put population above equity). We won't be going back to the same old thing - the SS minorities aren't anybodies puns.
As to the way we will go in the event of a split, it would likely be a country made up of the old Midwest groups. Failing that, we would accept a confederation, if offered by Biafra. We would accept same from the SW, only we will never be part of a country called Oduduwa (names gotto go).
A state like Delta, whose people are politically savvy over and beyond what obtains in the rest of the country, will come to any negotiating table with very sophisticated arguments. The question is if others will be ready or able to cope. Delta state is the only one in Nigeria to have been successfully led by someone from an ethnic minority; Uduaghan is Itsekiri, in a state whose majority population is Urhobo (followed by Igbo). Nigeria should be modelled on Delta state, we put the rest to shame. beaf beaf beaf,,,,,kai you never seize to surprise me with this ijaw this ijaw that why na so delta state , ondo and edo state are now ijaw states,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,c'mon ask yourself who are the majorities in those state the only ijaw state is balysea state,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,that i know so stop this my land,,,your land this that ijaws are minorities just like itsekiri and others and there population is just about 5 million(not 15 million ) compare to igbos of 30 million and other groups,,,,,,not to be arrogant or any think but i believe if yorubas and igbo declare their land back that rubbish would stop so shut up and be open minded about other groups not just ijaw people mumu jonathan doing ijaw expansion |
