EzeUche: If that is how you feel, then so be it[ prodigal son[/b]. While you are focusing on the Nigerian project, I will be focusing on how to improve the East.
I am a very proud Igbo man. And I find it interesting that you are questioning my Igboness. You of all people, the same person who has forsaken the wider Ndigbo, because of fear of being labeled a tribalist. You have some nerve.
And I have more of a regional bias than an ethnic bias. If I had an ethnic bias, I would not be mentioning other groups now would I?
You said you would fight to keep Nigeria together? Then you are my enemy. at bold you must be joking right is the east not nigeria, or are they cut out already me thinking that u have changed but i can see clearly that u have not you still hold your bigotted views about nigeria and yet it is people like you that would be shouting igbo president, igbo lagos governor abi, tufiakwa let me see how that would happen in in nigeria's life time with people (includeing ibibio) knowing igbos hold sure views see the yorubas coming on this forum already telling you that they do not want anything igbo just because of the preception they have about our people igbos, and yet u and onlytruth prove them right each time ezeuche you are a very popular name on nairaland which is nigeria biggest site. and we have different nigerians reading your comments from all works of life from future president to future governors who knows i mean do even know who i am, or do you know how close i am to the government the other day someone working for SSS commented on this forum and he is an igbo guy who disagreed with you and onlytruth. an ibibio and efik guy came and disgrace you and onlytruth do not for get "Afanna" who is an ijaw and he tribalistic against igbos yet it is people like you that say igbos are not treated like nigerians, well news flash they will never be treated as one with sure views of ohaneze and you +onlutruth. i just hope lagosians start opening their eyes to igbos because the sooner the better. i imagine this time last year, northerners do not insult igbos but now we northerners are seeing what the yorubas dislike about you people. well this is just the beginning, if you can not vote for someone based on his anti-corruption stance but based his ethnicity then no hope for igbos in nigeria i tell you the sooner you and onlytruth start saving money for a new biafra war, the better because if buhari enter ohaneze corrupt rubbish is gone for good. Insha Allah Buhari/Bakare 2011 |

what if somehow we split up the oil revenue too, so that Kanuriland has a cash stream.
Would it be ok if we split up then?
Only reason we are together is because of oil, right?
All this zoning, minority stuff, marginalization, blahblah stuff is just tiresome. . . I don't want to deal with it. you can talk like this because you are a full yoruba son what about people like me who are half igbo/kanuri what do we do ? to go to anambra i have to travel now abi,.,.,.,, , makes no sense at all oil is not the reason for this unity, and it would never be the reason |

ekt_bear: Maybe the best solution is to just split the country.
I'd have suggested simply weakening the federal gov't dramatically. . . but even that might not be enough to keep people happy.
If you take two best friends and force them to live in a tiny room for a week, they might end up hating each other. Perhaps distance is better. Good fences make good neighbors, as they say. . . no dapo, I do not think that is the best solution since nnamdi and co forced us in this country we have accepted we are one and nothing will change that soon not even a civil war there are a lot of northerners with properties in the south,.,. what would happen to them what about southerners in the north, what would happen to them |

Areosapien: Errr, Correction -- People who scream "East" are heartless bigots like EzeUche - a man so deeply blinded by his shameless tribalist mentality, that he is a sharp misrepresentation of what true Igbos like me stand for. If you think I'm lying, just go around and try mixing with some real sensible Igbos you meet in real life. With time, you'd realize these Igbos despise people of EzeUche's lifestyle. Let me tell you something - Are you aware that if Nigeria were to split today (with Biafra finally going free), people like EzeUche would still be calling for Biafra to further be split into smaller pieces? A fine example was when he openly supported the corrupt Ohakim's re-election all because he hails from Okigwe, and "Orlu people have had their turn." This just goes to show you a man with such deep hatred for unity. So, please, HE DOES NOT SPEAK FOR US. He is on his own. Don't lump us together with him, because that is tantamount to insulting all Igbos! Thank you. Thank you my brother, I know igbo people are not like the way Onlytruth and ezeuche depicts them to be. I was thinking to myself that "haba how can people be thinking like this" but thank Allah u proved me wrong thank you as well. I can not imagine myself not voting for an igbo person just because he is igbo, impossible i would not stoop that low to exhibit tribalism when my children's future is at risk and depends on the policies the present government makes now. Thanks again, once again I have faith in Nigeria |

EzeUche: And what do you know about the East? Of course each group have their own identity, my clan has a strong identity for instance, but there are many things that unite us such as HISTORY, CULTURE and by a lesser extent LANGUAGE.
Have you ever asked yourself why many groups in the East such as the Ijaw, Ogoni, and Ibibio speak Igbo? If they did not want to associate with us, they would not have learned our language and embrace our culture.
GEJ is uniting the OLD EAST. Now be very AFRAID.
I love my Ijaw, Ibibio, Ekoi and Ogoni brothers and sisters. ONE UNITED EAST! in my life of travelling round the country out of about 20 ibiobo i have seen one 2 could speak igbo infact 5 could speak hausa and 10 yoruba this ibibio i meant were in lagos, port harcount and abuja this is the reality my brother, infact one is named nsikak , she could only speak ibibio-efik, english and yoruba she lives in uyo awka-ibom she is my very good friend. as i said you have not traveled to other parts of the country,.,. this are the things i know and have seen are you in nigeria or ever been to nigeria ? |

The newspaper named “Thisday” is regrettable piece of junk and one should not bother how it came about since the editor is delusional airhead named Simon Kolawole.
From death traps called roads, mechanic thatch houses with tarred roads called airports, container junkyards called seaports, lack of electricity, inadequate clean drinking water to sectarian insanity, Nigeria is epitome of negativity.
Those who still think Nigeria is worth any form of recommendation are people who have not being able to travel to kumba in Cameroon. you may be right but the sun newspaper is far worse in nigeria alone, it ia one of the worst newspaper in nigeria |
Politics › Re: How Buhari Skewed PTF Projects In Favor Of His Northern Zone- By Yoruba Body by AljUche: 6:49pm On Mar 28, 2011 |
jason123: It means you do not understand why they are voting for Buhari!!!
Yorubas were the main supporters of GEJ when the Northern cabal ganged up against him. The igbos on NL were talking about Zoning and all. Even Ojukwu gave his support to IBB. Yorubas stood behind GEJ through out. The reason why yorubas stopped supporting him has nothing to do with ethnic affiliation rather it is the tribalism game, lack of compassion, lack of vision and butt licking.
When he came to the SW to campaign, he praised yorubas as the most educated and sophisticated et al but that does not mean yorubas want praises, what they want is development and ZERO tolerance to corruption. Take a look at the people that accompanied him in the SW, AKALA, OGD, Bode etc these are the people that have milked us dry so why should they now support him? Because he is a southerner? NO. Forget the praises, praises cannot feed a hungry child, it cannot help a robbed victim, it cannot help the commuter or anyone. Its all a contrivance. Why do you think they (yorubas) dislike OBJ?? My brother, with the little time I have spent with the yorubas, I can tell you that their politics is not based on how much you say but what you can do! It has nothing to do with ethnicity. Remember, the SW has the highest amount of people that are not from that region, that alone speaks volumes about how they think. GEJ systematically moved from a humble and caring man to a desperate, clueless and power hungry man. Take a look at what happened in JOS. What about the AKALAs? should they not be prosecuted?? The guy has 100% tolerance for corruption , in fact, he is corruption himself! Take a look at the PDP primaries and the envelopes under the seats of delegates (5000 dollars ) .
Although most of you consider ACN as a tribal party, some if not most yorubas will not vote for Ribadu, they prefer Buhari! Why? It is the genuine desire to stamp out corruption regardless of the ethnic affiliation. That is the truth!!!!
We have to stamp out corruption and tribalism before we can move forward as a nation. GEJ will be voted for based on tribalism. GEJ brought Ciroma's wife, Alams and all because he is corrupt! Forget the sentiments like "God chose him". How can God choose a man who is this corrupt? How can God choose a man that welcomed Bode George out of prison? How can God choose a man that brought Alams ( a man who dressed as a woman just to escape UK) to his team HOW MY BROTHERS? HOW?
A good, corrupt free Nigeria will be good for us all. Forget the North and South dichotomy. This is the time for change not FEE DEE FEEE!! hmmm words brother words |
