SportsRe: Liverpool vs AC Milan; who wins the champion's league? by Allenpowered(op): 12:14am On May 26, 2005
hey chawkee, i finished watching the match and man was i scared!

ac played the 1st half, but could not seize the initiative in the second half, when Gerrard started making things happen...

I wonder why AC has been practising playing penalties when they got to lose 3(damn 3!!!) in a match... or was it that Dudek9the goal keper was super good?)

Liverpool the giant killers we hail thee! cool

Nairaland GeneralRe: The Nigerian Police Force: How do you view them? by Allenpowered(m): 3:03pm On May 25, 2005
I feel they are an incompetent, brutal, corrupt and inherently lazy bunch. There may be exceptions, but I've not seen those. They 'll probably do anything to collect egunje [bribe].

CareerRe: Why This Discrimination Between B.Sc & HND? by Allenpowered(m): 11:11am On May 25, 2005
I understand your plight bro! I quite remember like 3 to 4 years ago when some guys in the civil service were demoted from the post of directors(GL 16) to level 14(asst. director) in the state civil service. Not because they were not competent but because the Federal government policy makers decided HND is no longer B.sc equivalent in the civil service no matter the experience!

FamilyRe: Sex Education in the Family. by Allenpowered(m): 11:03am On May 25, 2005
Never really had one...all I ever got was an admonition 'be careful of the girls!' or was it "with" the girls?

Anyhow I survived, learnt what I had to learn from the books, my teachers, peers and experience, some not wholly right!

But I think its just fair the boys as much as the girls get a good sex education...many seem to think its for girls only!

Looks like el-Rufai is in for a little wahala[trouble]. The House of Representatives are barring him from public office for 50 years because of his role in the Nitel/Pentascope imbroglio.

Five others were also affected. They are:

[li]Price Water House Cooper (a financial consultancy company) who were indicted and told to refund the contactual fees for dereliction of duties.[/li]
[li]Vincent Maduka (immediate past Director-general of NITEL)[/li]
[li]Mssrs Bernard Verr and Asinugo were also banned from holding public office.[/li]
El-Rufai was accused of perjury and forgery.

Jokes EtcI think its God! by Allenpowered(op): 6:53pm On May 24, 2005
I saw this somewhere and I hope you guys would enjoy it

A chauffeur was waiting at a New York airport to pick up the Pope. His plane finally arrives and the chauffeur opens the rear limo door for his Holiness and begins loading his bags into the boot. After he finishes he notices that the Pope is still standing in the car park so he asks ‘Why have you not got in, your Holiness?’ To which the Pope replies ‘I was wondering if I could drive. The Cardinals don’t let me drive in the Vatican and I enjoy it so.’ The chauffeur, not wanting to argue with the Pope, reluctantly gets into the back seat himself. Then, to his horror, the Pope floors it out of the airport and onto the motorway, doing twice the speed limit. It wasn’t long before a police patrol bike orders them to pull over. After the Pope had wound down his window, the patrol officer takes one look and goes back to his bike to radio his senior officer.

‘Sir, I caught someone speeding.’
‘Well, haul them in them’.
‘It’s not that simple sir, it’s someone famous.’
‘Who? The mayor?’
‘No sir’.
‘The president?’
‘No, Sir. I think it’s God, sir.’
‘WHAT! Why do you think that?’
‘Well sir, he’s got the Pope as his limo driver.’

PhonesRe: [please vote] Most Commonly Used Phones in Nigeria ... by Allenpowered(m): 4:55pm On May 24, 2005
I've used different phones: Nokia 3310, Motorola c350, Samsungc100, Motorolaa835. Now I'm stuck with a Trium: no thanks to my friend who thought my phone needed a bath cry cry cry. I hope to get a Sendo X.

I think I like Motorola phones though; they have a lot of easy-to-use functionalities.
