I am baffled why men marry two wives or more,a healthy middle age man,I can't even imagine how it will feel like, this gender is wicked and mean that it is guaranteed that peace will be elusive in that family,no matter how they pretend, one wife is a handful and you will add more, for what
But you're not baffled by men marrying only one wife and having 3 side chickes or Babymamas? This is hypocrisy. If you're in the governor's shoes, would u rather keep the second wife as ur side chick or Babymama and then pretend to be practising monogamy?

Lol, I said it's either the product is fake or substandard. There are many fake or substandard products in Nigeria of recent. For example, our mosquito coils do no longer kill mosquitos due to its substandardness, it only weaken them for a day or two and then they resume their bites with full force. Very little was done by Nigerian government to control the standard of the products we produce in or import into this country. Most companies started on a clean slate with quality products but the quality reduces over time due to inadequate or lack of quality control by the government.

Furthermore, many products produced by Igbos or in Southeastern part of Nigeria are either fake or substandard. This is a known fact. For instance, any product said to be from Aba (made in Aba) is likely the mimic, imitation or substandard version of the original product.

Reno should know that for a state like Anambra, A brewery is more important than IPP.

Peter consulted with stakeholders before it was concluded that, a brewery will be more important than any IPP project.

Considering the less productive population of Anambra which accounts for over 90% of her total population, its was deducted that, IPP will do no good.
Is that what Pāndora Obi himself told u or it's just ur own way of justifying his failure?

Same qatar and saudi format.
Talk, talk, balabaloooooooo, same result.
Tinubu is a curse on the land of Nigeria.
This type of comment is very wrong. Please don't say this to anybody no matter how much u hate them. It's important to communicate respectfully, even when we disagree with someone. Consider this analogy: if you were on a flight and the pilot was not the one you had hoped for, it wouldn't be productive to curse them for perceived incompetence. Instead, it would be more beneficial to hope for their success and a safe journey. Words have power, and negative words can have unintended consequences. If the plane were to crash after such curses, those who cursed would share the same fate as the pilot, simply because they are also on the plane.

In the same way, our leaders are like pilots, guiding the country, and we are the passengers. It's in our best interest to wish them well, regardless of our confidence in their abilities. By hoping for the best, we contribute to a positive outcome for everyone. May this perspective encourage a change in attitude and foster hope for a better future for us all. Amen.

EducationRe: Student Loan Scheme Set For Take Off With 1.2 Million Beneficiaries - The Nation by Almunjid: 3:36pm On Apr 17, 2024
Blaze14k:
Am glad you are entirely honest and not biased with your explanation. Nevertheless I suggest the government should take off the stipends they pay for upkeep if it is included in the loan and increase the number of people to get the student loan since they are very close to the finish line.
I appreciate your understanding that the programme is designed to support specific categories of students (primarily those from lower-income backgrounds) rather than the entire population of the estimated 3 million students. So, focusing on 1.2 million students seems reasonable for the moment.

Regarding your suggestion for the government to remove the stipend in order to extend the loan to more than 1.2 million beneficiaries, there are both positive and negative aspects to consider. Let's explore them:

Eliminating the stipend would likely increase the number of beneficiaries, allowing more students to access financial assistance. However, we must recognize that the stipend serves a crucial purpose. It covers essential expenses beyond tuition fees, including daily meals, internet data, study materials, and accommodation. High living costs can be a significant barrier for some students (especially to the beneficiaries who are from the lower-income backgrounds). Without the stipend, they might struggle to afford these basic necessities, leading to their potential dropouts which will be a waste of loan.

Striking the right balance is essential. While expanding the loan's reach is valuable, we must also ensure that students' basic needs are met. That's why the government used a portion of their loan to cover living expenses while still benefiting from the overall financial support to prevent the loan from going to waste, because unintentional dropouts could lead to tuition fees being paid to schools on their behalf while the students or beneficiaries of the loan are absent from school.

In addition, the government likely calculated the loan amount to cover all necessary educational expenses. Excluding the stipend might disrupt this balance. Professionals involved in programme planning considered the financial challenges students face. Their intention was to create a comprehensive support system. Gracias!

Blaze14k:
Bro where did you get this numbers can you please post it here
It appears that current statistics on the student population in tertiary institutions are not readily available. However, for the sake of discussion, let's estimate the total number at around 3 million. This figure include approximately 1.8 million undergraduates at universities, 400,000 postgraduate students, and a combined 800,000 students attending polytechnics and Colleges of Education (NCE). While these numbers are approximations, a quick verification through a search engine should confirm that they are not significantly off the mark. Given these estimates, a financial aid programme designed to benefit 1.2 million students from lower socioeconomic backgrounds seems adequate for the moment. Nevertheless, as the student population grows beyond the current estimates, there will be a need to increase the number of beneficiaries accordingly.

Blaze14k:
Are you serious only 1.2mil beneficiaries? What is the essence of the student loan. What sort systematic scam is this? If you divide 1.2 mil by 37 states you get 33000 in each state. That means only 33000 will get the student loan in each state.
Lol. Na wah for u Ooo! Are you cognizant of the fact that the collective number of students in tertiary institutions, encompassing both undergraduate and postgraduate levels in public schools, is approximately 2.6 to 3 million? Within this diverse student body, individuals are classified across various socioeconomic strata, including lower class, the middle class, upper-middle class, and upper class. It is important to note that the proposed educational loan scheme is designed specifically for students hailing from ”the lower economic tier”. The programme aims to cater to about 1.2 million beneficiaries, which is anticipated to be a sufficient number to address the needs of this demographic.

FamilyRe: Marriage Is Gradually Losing Its Relevance by Almunjid: 9:58pm On Apr 15, 2024
The current discourse is disheartening. You believe that the institution of marriage is diminishing in importance, and yet, your hogwash is dominated by irrelevant data from Western nations. This raises a critical question: for how long will Africa's path be dictated by Western influence? Our identity seems to be a mirror reflection of Western norms, setting a precedent for our societal standards. If, hypothetically, a significant portion of the Western population (let's say 70% of them) were to embrace homosexuality, would that render heterosexuality obsolete in Africa?

It is time for Africa to carve its own identity and lead rather than follow. Are we going to continue on this trajectory indefinitely? The acceptance of homosexuality, Babymama etc by some Africans are not rooted in our cultural values but rather in the glorification such acts receive from the West.

Is it not within our power to challenge forces that threaten our cultural heritage, values, and traditions? We must stand against the tide of Westernization, uphold the sanctity of marriage, and preserve our family structures and values. We should not let the challenges faced by the West become our own.

In the same way, Northerners defended Boko Haram out of ignorance. They thought Boko Haram were their allies until they discovered that the handshake had gone beyond the elbow. They later sought help from the government against them, but it was already too late. Nigerians don't easily take blame for their wrongdoing; they'll rather blame someone else instead. And the right person to put the blame on was Goodluck Jonathan for not ending the insurgency for them. They voted him out, replaced him with Muhammadu Buhari, yet that didn't stop the insurgency after he did 8 years in office because the insurgency was politicized. Keep doing the same to yourselves in the Southeast, and you will soon suffer the same fate as the North.

The future can be predicted based on the diligence or lack thereof in leadership. While economic experts are human and their assumptions are not usually far-fetched, I believe that the 2024 budget benchmarks of N750 by the FG and N800 by NASS will likely be the target range.
Economic experts, despite their humanity and fallibility, often have "insights" that are not entirely out of reach. As for the 2024 budget benchmarks of N750 set by the FG and N800 by NASS seem like plausible targets and your observations are equally "noteworthy". Nonetheless, as I’ve mentioned before, my optimism is anchored not in "speculative predictions", but in "the tangible efforts" our leaders are making. Only time will reveal the outcomes.

I think we should be discussing the future! Like what do you think fx rate will be on 29/05/2024? I suspect whatever rate it is there’ll be strong political backing to keep stable for a while—what do you think?
I have a modest grasp of the events of yesterday and today, yet the future remains a mystery to me. I’m not suited for discussions or predictions about the future FX rate; such topics don’t pique my interest. I'd rather defer to the economic experts for forecasts. What I think we hold for the future, after our leaders gave their all in the present, is "unwavering optimism". I trust that all will be well with our nation, its leadership, our currency, and the economy.

In response to your curiosity about the future, particularly the FX rate on 29/05/2024, I must admit that my crystal ball is a bit cloudy on the matter. While I share your suspicion that there might be a concerted effort to maintain stability, especially with political winds at play, I prefer to anchor my hopes not in "predictions", but in "the diligent work" our leaders set forth today. May the collective efforts of our leaders steer us towards a prosperous and stable tomorrow."

Obviously this is were demand and supply plays effect. The cbn let the market forces to determine the strength of the naira which brought about inflation. This helped the cbn to generate some cash through ways and means.
Had I not challenged your initial assertion that the dollar’s decline was due to the use of 1 billion dollars from our foreign exchange reserves, you might still be promoting that erroneous view. Nonetheless, your latter explanation appears more reasonable, which I won’t contest. It’s crucial to maintain consistency and coherence in our statements. This is important because those who read your first comment and miss both "my rebuttal" and "your revised opinion" might accept it as an absolute truth, potentially leading to the spread of misinformation among the youths.
