A Promise to Love: Abisola Abiola-Ajimobi & Kolapo Kola-Daisi Wed
Posted on Thursday, November 25th, 2010 at 7:58 PM
By BellaNaija.com

Love takes over when you least expect it but when you find it and you know it is true love then you treasure it forever. Abisola Abiola-Ajimobi and Kolapo Kola-Daisi‘s love story started with a cap, yes – a cap. Though Bisola and KP had previously met in passing, it was not until Bisola helped a family friend deliver a cap (fila) to KP for a wedding, that their love story truly began. After that brief meeting then a surprise call from KP, they began talking and almost instantly they knew they had both found a rare treasure – each other.

Before long they know they wanted to spend the rest of their lives together, they even started discussing and planning their dream wedding. KP proposed after Bisola returned from a trip, he reaffirmed his love and commitment to her proposed to her with the ring of her dreams and she said “Yes!”.

After their engagement ceremony on the 5th of November 2010, Bisola and KP’s fairytale wedding took place on 6th of November 2010 in Ibadan, Nigeria. It was a beautiful ceremony as the Islamic wedding rites were completed and Bisola and KP were joined as husband and wife in the presence of their family and friends. Bisola was breathtaking in her stunning white hand-beaded Swarovski crystal embellished dress with a cathedral length train and veil by Zuhair Murad. She simply glowed all through the ceremony. KP was handsome in a midnight blue dinner suit paired with a black crystal encrusted tie.

Bisola and KP’s wedding reception was a glamorous fairytale scene, with the brides favourite colours, pink and lavender adorning the venue. After the couple danced in and cut their cake, there was another surprise on the cards! US R&B Soul singer, Kenny Lattimore serenaded Bisola and KP as they enjoyed their first dance. After that, KP took the mic and performed his favorite song for his bride, Bisola. She could not hide her glee and excitement as she danced and smiled happily. From them on, it was more fun, laughter and love as the couple danced and enjoyed their special day.

BN wishes Abisola & Kolapo a blessed and fruitful marriage and wonderful life together as one.

Azeez Adeleye needs your help,

https://www.sunnewsonline.com/images/Adeleye.gif

Azeez Adeleye is a 12-year-old boy with a monstrous mouth, that needed the sum of N134, 350 for a corrective surgery at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH).

Some days ago, a non-governmental organisation, Global Initiative for Peace, Love and Care (GIPLC) came to the aid of the boy after reading about his plight in Sun newspaper.

GIPLC soon came up with the sum of N140, 000 and handed to Azeez’s mum. The money would start the process that would enable the boy overcome the growth known as neurofibroma that has been tormenting him since he turned two.

While receiving the money, Azeez's mum, Mrs Adeleye thanked GIPLC for the gesture and asserted that following the publication of her son’s story in the Daily Sun of October 12, a sum of N85, 000 had been paid into the bank account opened for the purpose.

“I am using this medium to thank you all and to appeal to you again that you should continue to render assistance to my son so that he will be saved from this strange disease. This surgery is the first of four that doctors said my son would need so that he would become normal. After this operation, we would still need financial assistance for subsequent operations. Please, we need your prayers for the success of this surgery,” she said.

Azeez currently studies at the St. Thomas Nursery and Primary School, a Catholic school in Ibefun, Epe area of Lagos. Despite the ailment that has taken the better part of his face, Azeez is described as a brilliant pupil who loves soccer. He hopes to combine his academics with the round leather game. The strange growth started like a boil when Azeez was two years old. It soon grew beyond normal proportions and defaced him. Since the strange ailment began 10 years ago, the family has spent a lot of money going from one hospital to the other.

Mrs. Adeleye can be reached on 07087727561 and 07053133454.

Is that also a rebuttal against Igbo haters from the one and only Igbo lover on NL, Oludashmi?. I don't care whether you are a babalawo or registry clerk, that info you provided is outright lie. So how is it possible for woman to know men's intention-- either genuine or selfish--- since ladies are meant by nature to succumb or agree to mens proposals thru the words of his mouth,
In the same vein, how is possible for men to know women's intention---whether genuine or selfish. Men needs to stop thinking they are always in control of this game.

^^^^^^^ How would a lady know if a man wouldnt marry her--- Its all left for the man to make all his promises and pledge to her come to reality--- Lady's are not mind readers they live and believe in what men tell them,
1) The man is royalty and by their people's culture, he cannot marry a commoner or outside his ethnic group.

2) The man is single but he made it clear to you that he doesn't intend to ever get married in life.

3) The man is already married but looking for another lady on the side to help him cool down his temper.

4) The lady is royalty and is not allowed to marry outside her ethnic group or race.

5) The man is involved with the mob and must marry someone whose family is affiliated with the mob.

And so on.

Where are the Nollywood naysayers?. We seem not to value our expertise until we lose it. Many of these Nollywood naysayers will even patronize the Brazilian movie industry anytime they come up with something.

Would You Date A Man That Will Never Marry You?: PLZ VOTE

Published 24/11/2010 15:43:00 Nenny Nnenna

The other day as I was doing my usual evening jog around my estate, I came across a pair, a young lady probably in her really early twenties and a man who appeared to be no less than 55years old.

They were cuddling and kissing in his G-wagon Mercedes SUV, pardon me for prying but I couldn’t help but notice two people inside a car at night snorkelling. This sight I had witnessed was not new or alien to me because it’s OK to be naughty with your significant other sometimes.

But it got me thinking, what would such a young lady at that age be doing with a man who probably has children her age at home with a wife who I’m sure is fully aware of her husband’s extra marital affairs?

Let’s face it, the idea of dating a married man is nothing new to anyone who has been living in Nigeria, as a matter of fact, these married men now prefer to take their girlfriends/mistresses out for social events.

People have different reasons for doing what they do and I am not here to tell or teach anyone about a certain kind of moral standard, because I believe everyone chooses a lifestyle that suits their needs and goals in life and so be it.

I have come across a few ladies who live lavishly off these rich men who provide for their every need down to their mobile credit and what I always hear from each of them is ‘the end justifies the means’.

I could simply say that if you want to live the nice life and reside in the luxurious apartments over on the island, how about you get yourself a job and work hard for your money. Again, people could rightfully disagree with me, because let’s face it, working to get to that level (if at all you find a job) will take years as opposed to just sleeping with ‘oga chief’ for a few hundred thousand naira and a new car.

I hear a lot of girls who justify their actions by explaining that dating rich men has saved their lives and taken them out of poverty stricken backgrounds, they are able to take care of their families there by releasing the burdens of their parents. , hmm, that’s a good point I must confess! Again this is where we raise the issue, does the end justify the means?

I am not saying its only females from poor background that partake in this act, because I am aware that quite a few ladies from comfortable homes also date married men to maintain their lifestyle.

So here lies the question, does the means justify the end. Is it OK to date a married rich man in order to pay your way through life’s tough challenges or would you rather uphold your dignity and work diligently until till you get that break in your career if at all you ever do?
I will not condemn or commend anyone for the kind of life they choose to live but I would like to know what you all think about this.
