Car Talk › Re: How Can One Identify A Stolen Vehicle At The Point Of Purchase by alphaconde(m): 10:03pm On Oct 29, 2013
adanny01: I have had plans on so many ocassions to buy a car from Nairaland but never found a good one at the right price and time. Am still searching.

Family and friends have warned me not to buy from nairaland due to 2 issues; fraudsters and stolen vehicles.

I was of the opinion that to absolve myself from prosecution for receiving stolen property, i will ask my seller to join me with the car to a police station where we will demand for a police report and thereafter go to court for change of ownership registration. With that, i believe, i the buyer may be free from prosecution. Ofcourse, police report is a little issue as they may make you pay through your nose. The court i believe charge as little as N200 (in the north o). An option is for the buyer and seller to take the car to any FRSC office to confirm if its not stolen. All these should be carried out b4 money is transfered to the seller. It also means the seller must be willing to leave his business to do that. If the car was bought from a registered auto dealer, then a reciept or an invoice should protect the buyer from prosecution if car is later discovered to be stolen. The auto dealer should be responsible but the Nigerian security system will be so quick to lock you up even with a reciept from the company.

Someone with better experience can tell us if my opinion will work or better ways for us buyers to protect ourselves from the police. On instances like this, the police are known for locking up everybody that has his name mentioned.
Police and court documents in nigeria as fake document, even the policemen will disregard their own documents.
So do nt count on it.

U may wish to change your parish not the chuch. Meanwhile u must be freer than you were before, ensure your heart is @ rest and peaceful. When one dies he doesn't take along his wife or children. Live a good life pray you die a holy death and secure everlasting happiness in heaven. That's the end you should keep in mind. If these issues escalate I fear depression.

St Joseph pray for us.
Politics › Re: Oshiomhole Escapes Being Beaten At Meeting Of National Dialogue In Benin by alphaconde(m): 10:08am On Oct 29, 2013
bloggernaija: You guys are functionally myopic, shallow ,easily predictable and dimwitted.
You assume that you understand the hierarchical thought process of the apolitical leadership(where the decisions are made) in Benin Kingdom but I am going to give you a few clues
I can authoritatively tell you that those statement reflect the position of strategic thinkers within the Benin Kingdom.
There is no way he could have made that statement without consultation.

1 what exactly is the reason for this National Talkshop at this time?

2where does their interest lies.

3 what has the kingdom benefitted from the so called SS presidency apart attempts at land grabbing by the ijaws.

Now the hint.that The Benin Kingdom does not want anything to do with that niger-delta country /South South thing (formerly their estate ) is obvious, most especially because of the ijaws .neither do they want to surrender their sovereignty to anyone.the history of the ijaws as land grabbers in that region makes that niger delta republic a fallacy.
Like I said ,oil block sharing is the least of their worries .
More like they want to be a free standing region without the baggage of friends and enemies alike.
That they can achieve without oil politics being involved.
The behaviour of those from other parts of the SS also shows the very different problem solving approach that made the Benin Kingdom ,the principal powers in that region.
1WHAT EXACTLY DID HE SAY THAT JUSTIFIES THE RESPONSE OF THOSE TOUTS.

2ARE THESE PEOPLE THE BRAINS OF THE SS ?
While the one man was spouting rubbish as usual ,talking about oil block, the Edo man was talking about how the lack of decorum and manners by the visitors has somehow disrupted the conference.

Funnicator: You should have asked your bro that told you na.
Personally, whenever I sit at back seat I always get easily distracted during church service, especially by the ladies.
So, that's just the thing.
Well I asked but he didn't tell me. For me staying at the back is just cool that's where I don't even get distracted. Staying in front makes the preacher confrontational.
Christianity Etc › What's Wrong With Sitting At The Back During A Church Service by alphaconde(op): 7:33am On Sep 22, 2013
Personally I prefer sitting on the last bench at the back of the church and for me its perfect. But recently I visited another church, I attempted to grab a sit behind like I always do in my church, but the usher resisted it and insisted I must move forward. Now this was the first time I was feeling uneasy in the church. When I complained to my brother, he said it was wrong sitting at the back of the church. Now can anyone tell me what's really wrong with sitting behind in the church.
Education › Re: How To Make A First Class Or Distinction In School by alphaconde(m): 1:39pm On Sep 21, 2013
ASUU is the reason for the decline in first class graduates. The don't go to class, they insult students, the examine students in areas they didn't teach, they sleep with busty female students, they entirely discourage students. Just imagine ASUU hv received 2months salary since this strike began and the students have received nothing. And tomorrrow some one will say they are fighting our course.

When I was in school, I used to be the best student in a course human resources. I used to contribute so much during classes, my mates enjoyed those classes becuase of me, the attested to that severally. But guess what? I scored E in that course just because of a member of ASUU. If I were FG I will sack them all. That's the sanity and improvement we need in the sector.

Health › Re: How Do Doctors Calculate Medical Bills? by alphaconde(m): 8:12pm On Sep 17, 2013
tunesoft: So..I get to write I guess..., ok
Why do u have a surgery for 4m naira in india and same surgery for 10m naira in US or germany..? (Disscussion for another day)
Billing in medical practice puts a lot in consideration....
Now a patient comes to the hospital @ iyana ipaja...walks in...probably nowhere to park his car..met an auxillary nurse...who is not a professional...waits like 1hour to see a doc...gets tested with old outdated techniques...nd doc prescribes abrand of drug dat costs just 3k...total package...5k. Same patient with same ailment walks in a hospital @ lekki...good parking space...oye tite...gets attended to by a certified nurse...gets tea or coffe...sees the doc in 15mins tops....doc prescribes d same drug buh different brand for 10k...total package...25k. So I leave it to u...choose wwhere to go to and stop asking questions on our bills are made or standard treatment..if u want standard hospital bills...go to a general hopsital...where u have to get there for 5am...and probably be booked for surgery for 2015....but I can tell u..its standard..general hospitals in lagos all genral hospitals in lagos will do an appendicectomy fortops 35-40k....st nicholas won't do it for anything less than 250k...try some hopitals in abuja CS is 600k...pls find ur own clothe nd cut to ur size.
The question still remains how doctors charge patients u just gave different price list of different hospitals.

@ op I think before the doctor starts his work I would kindly bargain it. Am not in for any surprises.
