tobtap:The Dantata family are of Agalawa (or ethnic Tuareg long-distance trading origin). The Tuaregs are alternatively called "Buzu" people in the North of Nigeria where they engaged as security guards and more). Dangote's biological mother is ORIGINALLY from the Dantata family and these ethnic Tuareg families ORIGINALLY from Mali and Niger Republic region settled in the trading cities of Katsina and Kano over 200 years ago or just before 1800 due to the trans-Saharan trade. Although there have been admixtures with a few other Northern ethnic groups over the centuries, the Dantata and Dangote families are of direct Tuareg lineages from the Niger Republic and Northern Mali regions where the current JNIM jihadi insurgency in Mali, Burkina Faso and Niger Republic has it's current ORIGINS. A former President of Nigeria, the late Umaru Yar'Adua of Katsina State is ALSO ORIGINALLY of Tuareg origin from the Northern Niger Republic and Northern Mali region. Do more reading on the Agalawa people (Tuareg settlers of Kano and Katsina) in books or online to know who they are. |

ottersberger:You sound totally IRRESPONSIBLE for trying to twist history. I can see that you are a bigot who already has a fixed mindset of spreading massive disinformation online. Do you think this discussion forum is a joke for you and your ilk to spread your insidious disinformation? That will NOT be allowed here! Coincidentally, I read that original newspaper article back in the late 1990s and there is NO where in that original newspaper article the then Senator 'Bola Tinubu ever said "he doesn't believe in Nigeria." He was INFACT referring in the body of that newspaper article to the way Nigeria "was then structured geopolitically under the dictatorial military rule" Is that too difficult for you to understand? The editor then used part of that interview to craft his headline. Till date, a lot of editors are notorious for taking parts interviews in the article body to create sensational headlines and attract traffic. I will block you once and for all because I have a very strong aversion for highly dishonest people who spin massive disinformation online to defame others because you CANNOT stand by the truth. Period. |
OlaleyeCast:I watched the FULL video of Senators Adams Ishiomole and Ndume's back-and-forth. That was a hot exchange of emotional energy from Ali Ndume BUT it all went well at the end of the screening session when most of Senators agreed to clear the United Kingdom-educated lawyer Reno Omokri as an Ambassador. Kudos to all the Senators, and congratulations to the impending Ambassador Reno Omokri, Ambassador 'Femi Fani-Kayode, Ambassador Dan-Bazau and more. |

ottersberger:STOP spewing hate speech and disinformation there and STOP focussing on that newspaper's headlines, instead READ the original body of the newspaper article to get the real story. The original body of newspaper story doesn't correlate with the headline. That newspaper interview (you and your ilk keep uploading as screenshots from one NL thread to the other), simply refered to Tinubu's interview granted back in the late 1990s with the veteran journalist Ayo Arowolo where he said he didn't believe in the way Nigeria was structured under the highly corrupt military dictatorship. If Bola Tinubu didn't believe in Nigeria, why did he come back to contest for the Lagos Gubernatorial elections and won. Tinubu's investments in several companies and firms. If he didn't believe in Nigeria he wouldn't have invested heavily in Nigeria. I'm FULLY aware that the now President 'Bola Tinubu's companies use innoson and other vehicle manufacturing companies such as NORD. Orders were also made for high-capacity CNG-fueled shuttle buses made in Lagos by Lanre Shittu Motors for moving passenger at the Lagos Airport. |
PHIPEX:First off, I stand by my ORIGINAL statement which if you deduced properly had strong positive connotations in it (laced with constructive criticism). I was BRUTALLY honest and very clear in my summations. There are many manufacturers who use their own in-house designs and do NOT just lazily copy another man's products OR slap their own logos on another man's design or products from say China or India like some of these local car makers do. The end users who have good taste and will NOT settle for mediocrity here BUT want originality in design and more on any finished products! That's the major thrust of my post which you have misinterpreted and you went rambling on and going off the trail. I don't need to copy nobody's design. Pro Force Defence Industries located in Ogun State and owned by the brilliant United States-trained Engineer Abayomi Ogundeyin has MRAP and armored vehicles designs that are strictly theirs I personally have a CNG-fueled NORD among my fleet of vehicles over there in Nigeria. The NORD car plant is based in Lagos and manufactured by a guy from Abeokuta in Ogun State who once worked for Mercedes Benz in Germany. As a veteran investor and more with business interests in Nigeria as a Diasporan, I'm in FULL support of Nigeria-made products but with originality, NOT the bogus (cut and paste) you alluded to which China largely got away with to some extent BUT if you steal or copy existing Western products as a citizen of a developing or emerging country, they will sue the living daylights out of YOU because their manufactured products are fully patented or copyrighted! Period. |
Brendaniel:Your post is highly IRRESPONSIBLE! I CLEARLY stated in my post that the now President 'Bola Tinubu's Television Continental or TVC bought innoson vehicles for their operations, yet you irresponsibly began to insult the same man. Further more, I stated that people and governments have the right of choice to buy whatever they want to buy. I CANNOT help you if you have cognitive dissonance? In the West of Nigeria, there are up to 5 indigenous automakers of Yoruba descent namely Pro Force owned by the United States-trained Engineer, Abayomi Ogundeyin was the FIRST EVER to make MRAP and armored vehicles since 2008, NORD makes CNG vehicles (I have a NORD in my fleet of private and company vehicles over there in Nigeria), Lanre Shittu Motors makes CNG buses, another Lagos-based company makes EVs, there's another car manufacturer located in Ekiti State. The East of Nigeria has 3 indigenous auto makers that I know of. Learn to read posts properly before typing IRRESPONSIBLY here? You are NOT talking to your young age mate here. I've been a veteran member of this discussion forum since 2005 or 20 years now and you totally come off as someone with terrible comprehension skills if you CANNOT decipher the positives in that post I made. |

ogaemma:Dude, Why do you posters from the East keep uploading Reno's past X posts which he has apologized to Tinubu for? I hate dishonesty of ANY kind especially the dishonesty that is coming from you the NL posters from the South East. Second, Reno Omokri already apologized to the now President 'Bola Tinubu for defaming him after discovering in 2022 that he was WRONG and Tinubu already forgave him. Reno's mother is also an Itsekiri woman from the Itsekiri royal family. Senator Oluremi Tinubu's biological mother (married to Senator Oluremi Tinubu's father who was an Ijebu man from Ogun State) is ALSO an Itsekiri woman so there are family ties between Reno and Oluremi Tinubu along the Itsekiri ancestral lineage. LEAVE Reno Omokri and President 'Bola Tinubu alone! Long before I ever heard Reno making that defamatory accusation as a PDP member, it was you the SE posters online (who were then in various political parties) that started the online disinformation and hate towards Tinubu as far back as the 2011 Presidential election cycle then escalating in 2014 FALSELY refering to Tinubu as a d*ug lord on several NL threads and on other online platforms. Enough is enough. Period. |
blamingthedevil:Congratulations to Reno. As long as Reno Omokri has apologized to Tinubu in 2022 and has been forgiven long ago by the now President 'Bola Ahmed Tinubu for defaming him, what is the business of anyone insulting Tinubu for choosing Reno Omokri who is a U.K-trained lawyer just like FFK. It's even the supporters of Peter Obi largely from the SE that are well-known to FALSELY and relentlessly defame President 'Bola Tinubu on NL and online by calling him names like drug bar*n even today on another thread despite the FACT that the then United States Embassy Lagos Legal Attache, Mr. Michael Bonner CLEARLY stated in 2002 that the then Governor 'Bola Tinubu has NEVER been convicted of any crimes in the United States. The then Bola Tinubu only paid in 1993 a backlog of taxes on his investments by forfeiting 460,000 USD out of the 1.8 million USD in his 8 U.S. bank accounts. He was NEVER convicted for being a drug baron otherwise the United States would have jailed him and seized all the money in his United States bank accounts. |

PHIPEX:I'm aware that 'Bola Tinubu's private firm Television Continental (TVC) bought a lot of innoson vehicles before now. ALL the innoson vehicles are Chinese knock-offs (copies of already existing China cars with Chinese brand names). All this car company does is to put the innoson name badge on the cars and install some fabricated car parts made in Nigeria. The cars in terms of design are embarrassingly the same original China cars you will see online via a simple search. All the cars including the electric ones they recently started selling are the same Chinese knock-offs or designs. However, people and the various governments at all levels have a right of choice to buy official vehicles from ANY of the many car companies in Nigeria. Period. |
Antoeni:A brilliant post focussing on the specifics. |
FutureFocus:Very informative and insightful. |
blamingthedevil:Interesting insights about his career trajectory. Gen X are largely the bosses in the Nigerian military right now. Kudos. |
blamingthedevil:An "Oma Igala"... Congratulations to the newly decorated Major-General and Army intelligence officer. |

Great100000:This POTUS has finally reduced the entry bar from 5 million USD to 1 million USD. NEXT he's heavy expecting tax payments from those who scale through. |
Great100000:NOW this is highly intrusive... They are literally asking you to EXPOSE all your personal privacy to them. I can assure those U.S. policy makers that if this kicks in, there would be less visits into the United States even from Europeans. Period. |

lawani:Indeed, segueing into your post ABOVE, I totally agree that private security companies are the key here and they can ALWAYS offer customized security support than the Police orderlies. I mentioned this FACT weeks back in one of my posts when this withdrawal order came in. In South Africa, there are over 1,000 arms-bearing private security firms that offer security for politicians and other individuals. They can still go for more well-equiped members of the Civil Defense for protection. However, having Police orderlies attached to the Senators and VIPs doesn't guarantee their own safety. Several times within the last 45 years, I've relentlessly read of armed robbers, kidnappers, (and these highly insidious non-state actors such as that secessionist group and the Jihadi terror groups ambushing) and attacking bullion vans, convoys of VIPs, and politicians on highways or in communities with lose of many lives despite the exchange of counter gun fires. |
BlocksNG:YOU have to totally STOP uploading those highly IRRESPONSIBLE defamatory screenshots (which Reno has already debunked after carrying out his proper investigations from the relevant United States authorities) as being untrue since 2022 and he has apologizd to President 'Bola Tinubu for what he did. What you have just posted amounts to defamation of character by spreading disinformation online with those screenshots. There will be dire consequences for doing so. Be guided! |
Marvieduke:Contrary to some highly ignorant posters here, 'Seyi Tinubu is absolutely entitled to security protection from the DSS (and it should be discreet like it is done all over the world) to protect the family members of every Heads-of-State or President around the world. The visible present of the Police and Army men and women wearing formal uniforms while openly guarding some Nigerians isn't proper... It has to be done discreetly with undercover secret service agents. Period. |
