What is fFk please? |
How can a pastor allow a proven convict and felon enter the "church" and have the mic? These same politicians are responsible for Nigeria's woes and people will keep shouting Hallelujah for him. Nigerian churchgoers are truly gullible sha. If I were in that church, I'd walk out. Corrupt pastor, corrupt politician, stupid sheep. |
If indeed this is true then France has an illegal alien who needs to be deported. These pastors don't use their brains when concocting these false stories. |
I support this call 1000%. The people have been taken for fools for too long. Car owners now prefer to take risks with bike taxis on that busy highway. The government's irresponsibility is appalling and shameful. The protest culture in Nigeria is coming up. If this is what it takes to jolt our collective consciousness to actively demand better governance, then so be it. We will not be taken for fools anymore. #ENDBADGOVERNANCE |
Sell some of your cars which you acquired with stolen money and share the proceeds. That will go a long way. Let's start there. STUPID HYPOCRITE |
Please tell your husband about it. So far, baba seems aloof of the entire situation. I wonder if you guys even talk at all |
Bedwyr:PIECE OF THRASH. No offense, but how can you excuse the policemen's lack of training in the use of his weapon? A cow is not a mosquito., its hard to miss even if he's throwing stones at it. How could he miss and hit an innocent bystander? This our country is just an unsafe place. How does one even start to comfort the family now? This is just very painful. |
Her dad still thinks her place is in the oza room. |
At the risk of sounding like a complainer, I would like to point out that if welding students present this stuff as a complete project in a technical school, they would fail the course. Roadside welders would at least grind and fill the welded parts. The welding looks tacky and it appears it was hurriedly completed to put on a show for the president. Imagine you bought a toyota and you see all the weld spots open and simply painted over. What happens when it rains? Will water not mess up the equipment? If I were president, you wouldn't dare ridicule me like this. I waste time, money and all my entourage to come commission an incomplete stuff? Someone will lose their job. This stupidity has to end. But I'm not president so who am I to complain. |
Nothing to see here. Just a symptom of a failed system. The problem is that people "have to" smuggle petrol. If there was adequate supply, there would be no need to smuggle the essential product. You hardly see people carrying jerrycans around in developed countries - there is just not any need for that. Except perhaps you're hiking in the remote jungle or wilderness and you need to make a fire. The government should be blamed for this. |
Tarabye:Did you read the direct post in Spanish or the translation? Lets know whether its the post sweeting you or alomo bitters. |
Charmingrascal:Yenyenyenyen truly educated my ass. Please say what you know. NNPC has a 60/40 sharing formula with every single oil company operating in Nigeria. It's called a JV for that reason. So for every dollar Chevron makes, NNPC takes 60 cents our of it. The real question is: what happens to that 60 cents? Can Nigeria account for that money? How many jobs are realistically given on merit at NNPC? what is the state of the refineries operated by NNPC? Has NNPC developed enough to independently manage and operate the oil fields? These are begging questions. Chevron has a merit-based recruitment procedure for the most part (even though man know man still operates in small pockets). Chevron is accountable, at least to the US government and their shareholders. One of the best-managed businesses is about to leave the country, leaving a large trail of stranded employees, with no national company big enough to take them in and someone is typing rubbish from their ass about Nigeria benefiting. Here's what might happen - Chevron will sell offshore and onshore assets to the highest bidder. I won't be surprised if NNPC buys some of it and then mismanages it like all other national assets. Or even sell it to another single highest bidder like Otedola or Dangote the same way theý broke NEPA into 11 DISCOS and one person bought 7 of them. Nigeria is in trouble, the signs aren't good. |
Why are they visiting him and why isn't he in handcuffs? The Police, the nonsense law breakers and the cameraman, all of them are mad. On a serious note, this is another shameless display of joblessness and misplaced priorities on the part of the politicians. Have they addressed other pressing issues? This is simply irresponsible. The 'visited' a criminal suspect in police custody. This is something shame will not allow me tell my oyibo friends. People are stupid in this country sha |
It cannot work. Nigeria (NIGCOMSAT) is involved. |
I'm not surprised this kind of statement is coming from a former Minister of the Federal Republic, afterall it is the worst of the worst minds that make in into power in Nigeria. Conduct this experiment: Lagos - Toronto vs. Lagos to Calgary. Same country, but observe the huge price difference. This gentleman does not understand the simple explanation that it is cheaper to fly to a city that serves as a hub to other destinations. Flying into Atlanta or New York is cheaper than flying into say, Sacramento. The reverse is the same because the airline has to factor in the cost of landing somewhere else before leaving for the final destination. Like it or not, Enugu international airport is not a major hub at the moment, and there's no one to say that cannot change in a few years. This ill-informed charlatans are bent on stoking the coals of ethnic tension to satisfy their desire to rule and further divide an already broken country. To his mentally blindfolded supporters, I offer my heartfelt condolences on the death of common sense. |
She Stoops to Conquer. Hated my inability to follow the story. |
If you're not careful, you will be added to the beating. Just continue forming Mr. Lover |
He is as foolish as the rest. He has done nothing to distinguish himself from the old idea-blocked politicians Nigerians are used to. Next step is for him to roast plantain on the roadside. |
ChiefAzubuike:I think you are a petrol station attendant. How do they ensure we have fuel in our cars? Is it not their job? Are they not paid to do it? What are you saying? Other countries don't even have fuel station attendants, you just fill up and pay inside. But because Nigerians cant be trusted, such will never work. Your thinking is not in line with the spirit of this post. Had you mentioned the word "Tip", I'd have supported you. But you are not smart enough to realize the difference between a tip and outright extortion. Let them get other jobs if they are not well paid. No one is forcing them. So would you support the police extorting money from citizens because their salary is small? Because my salary is small, I should force my company's clients to pay me some amount before I do my job? Think man, please think and apologize for this less than thoughtful post of yours. Its is this nonsense of 'appreciate' that has ruined Nigeria. |
Rainy season, they tell us there are challenges. Dry season, no water to power the dams. We only have rainy and dry seasons. Translation - "Never expect power supply to stabilize anytime". Its the shame of a nation, one that reduces even angels to tears. Other countries with blizzards, crazy winter, searing summer heat, hurricanes, tornadoes and even volcanic rage have managed to achieve steady power. These political nitwits come here to tell us nonsense. Forget it people, Nigeria has no hope. We are a failed state. |
bettercreature:Too many assumptions in this analysis. You simply assumed the OP already has oil, water, kerosene/gas/electricity, salt and seasoning to bring it all together. |
This is good news. Until we all start condemning crime as a people, Nigeria won't get better. |
This is a big engineering failure. I hope it did not take lives. Someone's job is under threat, I'm sure. |
This stupid man again? |
Dolphins have high intelligence. I'm not so sure about this guy's. |
All that money, still zero class. |
Religion - the root of the Nigerian problem. How can a PROFESSOR be identified with this potentially explosive agitation. This mischievous protest achieves nothing other than to accentuate our disunity and to further widen the already precarious religious and tribal cracks in the Nigerian nation state. As far as I'm concerned no serious-minded student would come out to debate this timetable when all he wants is to study and pass. But these over-zealous, out-of-touch-with-reality, outdated clerics come out and preach otherwise. We really need to get our priorities straight in this country. I'm not God, but I do not think God will judge you wrong for doing something legal to better your life - exams included. If he wants, he can grant you as many Fridays as He wishes for you to worship Him. You fighting over just one Friday when its out of your control is seriously despicable at this level. Just read this statement: "WAEC is pursuing an aggressive anti-Islam policy. Fixing examinations during Jumat service gives non-Muslims undue advantage over Muslims. This is discriminatory and unjust." It does not hold water if you consider the following: Prof. Ishaq Oloyede's JAMB fixes exams for Saturdays - 7th day adventists go to church on this day; Jehovah's Witnesses go to preach on Saturdays, Choir masters and mistresses have to prepare songs for Sunday on this day. Idol worshipers - Ogboni Confraternity might fix a festival for this day (I've seen one). But no one complains, and rightly so. Not becuase they cannot but because we have a common understanding that WAEC prepares a purely secular timetable, one which every candidate is expected adjust to and work with. I will like to challenge Professor to swear he has never written a Friday exam in his career. I'm sure he stopped short of asking why exams are not fixed for Sundays. Well, Nigeria - being a secular state recognizes Saturdays and Sundays as holidays - just like many other countries. So I urge this attention seeker of a Professor and his misguided horde of religious bigots to shove this inane fight up their behinds, or look for something better to clamor about. I will also reserve some blame to WAEC (WEST AFRICA Exams Council) not for setting the timetable, but for setting dangerous precedence by rewarding these kind of call some abysmally unmerited feedback. In a sane world, it should have been treated as background noise - equal to those of the generators I'm sure power their Yaba offices. |
All the while, I thought Payporte was an e-payment solutions provider like Paga, e-tranzact and the rest. Never even knew they were a Konga / Jumia rival. Maybe I live under a rock, but this just seems to me like all the money being spent advertising is just wasted. PS: I don't live under a rock. |
Am I the only one who sees the humor in this? Nigerians, chill out. Please just chill. You need to see the light-hearted humor in this. Its just a fun advert, I mean look at the spacetrek part at the end. |
In other words, the stolen funds have been re-stolen. ![]() |
Threemg:You should be happy that WES decided to waive verification in your case. Perhaps your transcript hit them as authentic enough to quell all doubt. I think its a positive development. Nothing to be afraid of in my opinion. I wish you further good luck. |
Hello bro, I feel your predicament. I did some search, here's what I found: https://ask.slashdot.org/story/06/01/19/2220257/getting-fingerprint-readers-to-read-your-prints I hope it helps. Good luck. |
