Okorocha as governor started the legacy as he built all in the state capital nearly everything he considered development.
Gov Hope Uzodinma took the legacy to the sky limits.
It's like both swore that humans will not live elsewhere in Imo state outside the state capital area.

Peace will return to Imo state if the soldiers of Nigeria will allow voters of Imo State next November to choose who will govern the state from January 2024. The year 2011 was the last time voters in Imo state were allowed to choose their political representatives, including governor, Senators, federal and state assembly Reps.

Imo, a state without anymore mmekwatarism, no solution to crisis, since Rochas Okorocha sold APGA mandate to APC and brought APC into Imo state in 2013.
In the Senatorial district of Orlu shared by Rochas Okorocha and Hope Uzodinma, it has been murdering of youths, arrested development, shrinking of the existing city, depopulation, underdevelopment, tales of woe, till today.
Then President Buhari visited Gov Uzodimma in Owerri more than any other state gov in Nigeria. Gov Uzodinma visited Buhari in Aso Rock more than any other governor in Nigeria. No solution. Instead, Imo state has receded into the state capital, Owerri.

There is no case of rape there. Bala did not inject alcohol forcefully into her. She even explained to Bala that she has no good head to stand alcohol. In other words, she knew what could come up if she got drunk. Therefore, she was willing for the sex with Bala. And why would she walk into Bala's room after cleaning her fiancee's room?

Tallahasse is the capital of the US state of Florida. Bigger and more beautiful cities like Jacksonville, Miami, Tampa etc exist in Florida. The governor of the state of Florida can never lavish the funds of the state on Tallahasse.
Don't join the hype in Imo state; the hype of "governors building Owerri to Dubai standard before attention is paid to other places in Imo State."

There is no constitutional provisions that a state capital must be provided infrastructures more than any other places in the same state. In fact, neglecting other places in a state but provide more infrastructures in the the state capital, is contravention to the constitution of Nigeria.

Aba suffered drastically due to inept governors contravening the constitution regarding governance in a state. Imo state has been reduced to one city - Owerri only- because of same contravention of the constitution of Nigeria regarding provision of development infrastructures in a state.

Every town develops at its own pace.
It's only in Igbo land where inept state governors use almost all the development funds of a state in building infrastructures only in the state capital to have a beautiful state capital while the rest of the state is abandoned to decay.

Please don't copy the governors of Imo state. Orlu and Okigwe had near similar levels of urbanisation with Owerri in 1976 when Imo state was created. But inept governors and their politicians who know only state capital have reduced Orlu and Okigwe to rot.

Kano state, don't go the way of Imo state by demolishing or rubbishing the development projects of preceding governors.
Such acts have made Imo state become only state in the southeast with only the state capital as livable area, as every new governor starts afresh with demolishing to rebuild in Owerri state capital. Rest of the cities of the state recede to pre civil war status.

Owerri-Awka Road was completely asphalted with drainages on both sides of the road except a bridge not built on Orashi River. The road from Ekwulobia to Orlu never came into use because of the bridge not built when Buhari military government took over.
Gov Soludo is most likely to know the story of the road. But Indomie generation of people will not know about the road.

The type of education these flyover governors had, despite the level explains their acts in office.
As well as the governors, a lot of citizens don't know that flyovers are a great nuisance; and that no good city planner can think of building flyover on any junction unless there is absolutely no other method to control traffic on that junction. Ohakim and Rochas were chased about by some Imo people into building unnecessary flyovers. They asked Ohakim and Rochas to "build us a state capital like Dubai, future governors shall look into development in Orlu and Okigwe." Since 2007, except the uncompleted urban renewal projects started by Okorocha govt in some towns outside Owerri, it has been governors demolishing and rebuilding and demolishing to rebuild in Owerri till today.

Gov Soludo, to make this Ekwulobia new city more connected, please complete the failed Ekwulobia-Orlu section of Awka-Orlu-Owerri Road. The road was completely asphalted with drainages on both sides but a bridge across the Urashi River after Ekwulobia was not built before Buhari military government took over in 1983. IMSG has dualized and lighted up the Owerri-Awka road from Owerri to Orlu.

But Ekwulobia is not state capital. This is the way Imo people will be wondering over this news. In Imo state nothing can be built outside Owerri state capital. Imo population is bursting in Owerri. Rest of the state is emptying into Owerri.

Oyibo colonial masters built the water storage tanks in nearly every city in Nigeria then to supply treated running water to black Africans and Oyibo people in Nigeria.

Oyibo left, the tankers went dry. Nigeria's politicians have not had sense or empathy to make treated running water available to citizens.

A similar water tanker in my Orlu hometown stopped getting water over 40 years ago. We have been having governors in Imo state since states were created. Crooked governors.

I have done an on the spot assessment by visiting the once dreaded Relief market road. You see how organized that market is now, that's one of the little things that contribute to development. It is within your rights to dislike someone, just like I do not like any Imo governor from 1999 till date... But you can't deny facts based on comparisons

Comparing sweet oranges with grape, is like comparing former govs of Imo state with Hope Uzodinma.
1) You don't seem to recognise the number of Imo youths murdered under Uzodinma government; never happened in any other administration in Imo state.
2) no other governor of Imo state until Hope Uzodinma closed down modern development in the other urban and rural centres in Imo state, but pretending to be governor of state capital.

When the government wants to build a road at awomamma, we'll still be the ones to criticize them about how 'relevant roads' ain't good enough project. The reason you call some countries developed, is because they don't have your wack mentality of calling even the smallest of quality projects (roads) a poor achievement.
Black people are really very funny set. I could remember those days as kids I would wave at a video camera, they would hit my hand and call me a bush man but you see the whites wave at the camera during special events like the world cup.

What makes a project is relevance, no matter how little, but set the standards high.
You wouldn't know the wonders the aggregates of such projects would achieve.

Private individuals should be encouraged to tar their street roads through contributions or even form NGOs to seek interventions.
Estate developers, state institutions, Secretariat annex can be encouraged by government to explore orlu and okigwe zones.
Of course, security is of the essence, if such long term vision in Imo State is to be achieved.
But I'm very certain, that pockets of areas in many LGA'S in Imo, are becoming more urbanized.
When you come to my villa and maternal home today, you will see visitors living on rents and in their numbers.

Private developers build streets, extend gas and water pipelines, extend electricity to their private estates.

Imo State Government is supposed to build such urban and rural roads that are in Orlu, Okigwe and Owerri as well as in some other rural centres in Imo state.

But in Imo state, government builds even the private roads in only Owerri that private estate developers are supposed to build, as well as builds the urban roads in only Owerri federal Constituency.
Citizens of Owerri federal Constituency enjoy their saved money and can holiday all year round.

But the people living in Orlu, and probably other urban centres in Imo state, have no more internal roads to move on; or they build and repair their own internal roads.
This foul play in Imo state started since 2007.

I have lived in America and in Europe.

The public roads, public water supply projects, public schools, for example, in America have government contributions to their establishment; but may be managed by private companies.
If the dim witted people in Imo state want to continue to have state governors who put the federal allocations of the 27 LGAs, and the state, into building Owerri; because the dim witted people don't want any government development in Orlu (and of course, in other towns in Imo state outside Owerri); people of Imo State will choke in Owerri before long. The trouble in Owerri is already there. Visit the ghettos of concrete buildings in the once rural areas near Owerri, some don't even have access roads. The ghettos emerged because governors of Imo state didn't want, don't want, to provide urban renewal in Orlu and Okigwe zones. They built and build only in Owerri. Dim witted people in Imo state clap for the governors.

One heading on ADMINISTRSTION OF THE STATES;
The other heading on PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION.

The heading on ADMINISTRSTION says Abuja shall be administered like any other state.

The heading on Presidential election says a presidential candidate must win 25% of votes in Abuja before declared winner.
