No state governor who received Western Education would plunge his state into economic paralysis like Hope Uzodinma did in Imo state.

Don't tell this to the AGIP of Imo state, Engr E. Iwuanyanwu. So long any governor of Imo state abandons Orlu and other urban centres in Imo outside Owerri to rot, Iwuanyanwu is in love with such a governor. Iwuanyanwu today is Gov Hope Uzodinma's handyman.

Every town in a state has its most important internal roads that enable commerce in the town.

A state governor like Hope Uzodinma reconstructs only the urban roads of the state capital. One can stand for twenty minutes on some of the roads of Hope Uzodinma in Owerri but without encountering any human or vehicular traffic.

So I recently packed into this street in the heart of Calabar called Mekenge Layout and I have noticed something unique.

Since Water Board stopped functioning in the state, water has been a challenge to the residents of Calabar. This has made many resort to digging personal borehole for private use.

In other houses that do not have borehole, access to water remains a huge challenge to them.

The compound I recently packed into is just a single room with no water. So sourcing for water is still a challenge to us without borehole.

However, while majority of the compounds are upstairs (big houses) and have borehole, none of them care to remember those who don't have. An exception to this is a bungalow (a small house) who decided to give out the water generally and FREELY to anyone who needs it.

This amazes me a lot and show me a great lesson to learn.

It simply tells me that to give is not by having it all before you can give.

It shows even when you have it all, you may not still give.

It also shows that who may help you in life might not be the richest person, but he who is willing to help you.

There is even a hotel in the same street but the hotel don't give water. This could have at least formed part of their corporate social responsibilities, but they don't.

This should be a lesson to you that who will help you in this life might not be who has it all.

Hope Uzodinma is from Omuma in Orueast LGA, not from Orlu. He says he is from Omuma City in Oru nation.
All his political life, including the 8 years he served as Senator of Orlu senatorial district, he hardly had anything, or show any connection with Orlu.
In fact, when he was Senator, he stopped then gov Rochas Okorocha from continuing with urban drainage gutter in Orlu, stopped Okorocha from expanding internal federal roads in Orlu, as he said they were federal government projects. He campaigned in 2011 to be voted senator so that he would implement a Federal government water supply system for Orlu.
Today, the urban drainage system, the internal federal roads and water supply system are not done.
Uzodinma instead stopped the urban roads and stadium reconstruction works started by former governor Ihedioha in Orlu.
He relocates government institutions and services in Orlu to Owerri.
To punish one enemy in Orlu, the punishment extends eventually to his Omuma hometown in Orueast LGA.

FCT has no governor.
Each of the 36 states has a governor. So who in his/her right senses would confer equality to FCT as the States?

Because FCT has no governor, the President is confered the powers by the Constitution to administer the FCT. But the Constitution made it CLEARLY mandatory for any presidential candidate to get at least 25% of votes of Abuja's electorate, as well as 25% of votes in 2/3 of Nigeria's number of states, in addition to having the highest number of votes; before the candidate can be declared winner.
