Admire that Toronto beautiful road junction - run by traffic lights. Junctions less traveled than that for Imo state capital, Owerri people will besiege governor to build flyover there. For them, flyover is sign of huge city. Other towns in the state barely have motorable roads. |
Rail revival when there is no rail lines on the most traveled route Lagos-Benin-Onitsha-Portharcourt in Nigeria? In rail business, country first builds rail lines on the most traveled routes to make profit to invest on lesser traveled routes. But Nigeria’s government is still fighting civil war it declared ended in 1970. |
References1:So the UK’s PM accepts many ethnic groups in the UK deciding what goes on in their regions, but the UK as colonial master watches Nigeria’s citizens dehumanized through Abuja’s over-centralized governance system controlled by Fulani? Fulani controls all of Nigeria through the skewed and lopsided 36 states & Abuja political structure created by Fulani-loyal military dictators.

B2mario:If you ever had a dad, he would tell you that if you have 3 kids, but leave all your 6 instruments that generate prosperity to only one kid, you have sowed a seed of discontent in your family. Continue to tell your story of School of Nursing in Amaigbo-Orlu and moribund IMSUTH in Orlu or market and stadium in Orlu - to dance to the gallery of profiteers from prostitution who wouldn’t allow any government institutions of development in Imo state outside Owerri. They have set Imo state on the boilers. |
FinianIb:There is no Economic model in Nigeria. For those in Nigeria’s government, how much did International Oil Companies pay in today, and how much was realized from the seaports to share, is the only model. Jungle Economy in Nigeria.
|
Yuceeluv:If you move out, the invaders move in and occupy your ancestral land in the south. If you return to Nigeria on holidays, the invaders in power place you on 6 months quarantine in Nigeria - no exit from Nigeria for 6 months. You get frustrated. With flimsy excuses for Covid-19, a 6 months no exit from Nigeria was recently imposed on hundred or more Nigerians who returned to Nigeria for Christmas. What a way to frustrate those returnees. |
walkingshadow911:Bolded: IPOB can be a terrorist group only in a country led by Buhari cabal. Leaders of terrorist groups don’t walk the streets of Tel Aviv, Washington DC, London without getting arrested. |
“You see, terrorism is not only in Nigeria” — This is the message Buhari cabal wants to send to Nigerians here.
|
BastardWike:The same person - BastardWike - replying to him/herself - OruExpress. |
Only power? Terrorists must leave the north - that’s the most important prophecy we need. Terrorism in north badly affects all in Nigeria. That power must leave north anytime soon is a fact. |
OruExpress:In bold: Listen to yourself once again. Truth is: the 3 government universities and 3 government polytechnics in Owerri dragged 99.9% of private properties to Owerri. Let IMSG open Eastern Palm university as advised by Ihedioha government committee, or let IMSG establish a 2nd state multi discipline university in Orlu; before 5 years, Orlu shall be approaching the development level of Owerri. Edo state has 2nd state university from the university built by Adams Oshiomwole. |
AKswift:Bolded: Bros, but you said it was ranting as we were highlighting the abandoned Orlu in Imo state where Owerri politicians seized all six government subsidized tertiary education institutions in Imo state but left only a school for the mentally and physically handicapped in Orlu, nothing brings government attention to Orlu. |
Orlu-Ihialla Road is the most economically important road to Orlu. A government of good will can repair it and ask for refund from the federal government. If you dance to govt’s renewal of Owerri urban roads and drainage every four years, but leave Orlu-Ihiala road rotten all these years, it is like dancing to sabotage of the economy of Orlu, and by extension, Imo state. |
Region of a country setting up militia forces to protect itself against invaders from other regions in the same country shows that the country has FAILED. Such security arrangements do not exist in other countries. Amotekun and ESN show that Nigeria has FAILED.
|
Sammy07:The more reason why Oduduwa Republic must be declared fast, no more waiting. Ten years from now, crude oil shall play insignificant role as European countries shall stop manufacturing of vehicles driven with petrol and diesel. |
film3four:Wow. PH is like Dubai; PH has street lights on paved road. Wow. smh. |
OruExpress:Exaggeration? Even the Eastern Palm university built by Okorocha govt in Ideato near Orlu, and which a government committee asked to be used for IMSU, hoteliers, brothel owners and native rent seekers in Owerri lobby for Eastern Palm university to rot away. In 1km space, you have 2 government subsidized tertiary education institutions - IMSU and AIFCE- in Owerri. There are other 4 around. In Orlu, only a School for the Mentally And Physically Handicapped has been allowed all the decades. Orlu and Owerri started Imo state as urban areas. Nothing to attract development and government attention to Orlu. Yet some people defend the exaggeration with tertiary education institutions of government in Owerri. Anyone defending the exaggeration in Owerri is fit to be named Satan. |
912:O yea. Same way Lagos has been removed from the SW region and Lagos now no man’s land. |
360degreess:See rail revolution on electric powered trains. The people you taunt are most likely to have electric powered trains before you.
|
360degreess:Sickness is when you derive oil money from one area to build the rail lines, but avoid the rail lines in areas you derive the oil money from. Your rail revolution is not likely to be fruitful at the long run. How did NITEL die? |
But God didn’t name them as Men of God. |
rtdCivilservant:Ha ha ha. Profiteers like you from human flesh are deploying every blackmail and tricks to make govt continue with concentration of young students in Owerri through restricting all government subsidized tertiary education institutions in Imo state to Owerri. Na today? Even in 2012 when Rochas Okorocha started to build a university for IMSU in Ideato, your sort nearly petitioned the gods. You can run amok shouting mad man upandan following me, one certainty is that Owerri is unique in Nigeria. That uniqueness which brings it the name : prostitution capital of Nigeria, has to be rejigged. |
inoki247:All punitive measures against some travelers. |
B2mario:Remember that you are responding to an idiot. I have advised you to stop replying to my comments, because apart from the fact that you are too uncivil from beginning without provocation, you don’t understand what you write about most of the time. Orlu Hotels is on Asika Ilobi on a junction with Enugu road, not on Enugu road. |
Abagworo:Are you taking about the road Okorocha government cleared from that roundabout to Carrot Junction, but never asphalted but used to block entrance to the dilapidated Orlu fire service station? |
Abagworo:Orlu Hotels is located on Asika Ilobi Avenue junction with Enugu road. |
Abagworo:Union Bank Orlu and Christ Embassy Pentecostal church Orlu are on the beginning of Enugu road Orlu, never in Umuezella street. Bank Road is what it was called years back. |
RtdCivilservant, IkengaAwo, OruExpress, BastardWike - if your Awomamma has 60% people like you, Awo is mostly likely to go into extinction as you futilely wait for Owerri to expand beyond Urashi river to Awomamma. But urban development and expansion from Orlu can easily reach through Okwudor to Awomamma in a space of five years if IMSG does what Orlu merits. Cretin or consumed by your Hotel and Brothel business in Owerri? |
Abagworo:That’s Enugu road toward Ideato in Orlu - about 300 meters. You still count that one? |
When it comes to urban roads in Imo state: problem is that since Abia was carved out from old Imo state, and all government institutions of development forced into Owerri, a falsehood was forged in Owerri that state governors must concentrate on improving the state capital but leave other parts of the state for future governors. Too many people, including governors, in Imo state bought into this falsehood. But a state governor is bound by law to develop all parts of his state, not favor any part more than the other. |
Abagworo:Tijani Street from Nkwoitor roundabout to Umuowa, then Ihioma/part of Amaigbo road, Enugu road, and Owus Avenue - these four roads are the roads expanded by Okorocha in Orlu, and they are the roads you show every time. It’s like you have now included upper section of Ebenator road done by Amadi Ikwechegh contract. But the lower section by St Joseph Church is shiiit. Move down onwards from St Joseph Church towards Holy Trinity Cathedral, Bishop Shanahan and Girls Secondary School, you shall see dozens of dilapidated urban roads, inhabited full by people, a lot of them abandoned by Ikwechegh contractor. |
Abagworo:Abagworo, you have shown this same road here at various levels since 7 years after expansion by Okorocha government. But move out of this road into the dozens of the inner urban roads of Orlu, you see failure of IMSG here, you cry foul compared to rate of urban road repairs and construction in the state capital. |
