rtdCivilservant Because you want your prostitution business in Owerri to continue, thus you fight against extending government institutions of development to other places in Imo state that have nothing - you must remain a CURSED PERSON. A cursed person derives joy in profiting from the flesh and blood of fellow human beings. |
- BastardWike, retCivilservant, FACE, IkengaAwo, OruExpress - no matter the number of monikers you multiply here to argue for having all government institutions of development in Imo state in Owerri, na you go tire. Even the same pattern you formed these your monikers gives you up. You are polluting this thread. |
IMSG must place institutions and social amenities that induce development in Orlu. As IMSG is now reactivating Owerri water supply system built by Mbakwe, IMSG must build Orlu zonal water works also proposed by Mbakwe. Only a most stupid set of people would want Imo state of only Owerri as modern place. The hue and cry about Orlu: In 1976, Owerri was marginally ahead of Orlu in urban development. But Owerri multiplied in urban expansion through Owerri seizing all institutions of government that induce development in a state , still covets them, fights governors who intend to extend institutions and amenities to other parts of the state. Orlu is left with artisans and retailers as inhabitants. |
BastardWike:For the umpteenth time: Bastardwike, IkengaAwo, OruExpress, FACE - are like six and half a dozen. Take your denial to the birds of the air. If any one thinks that by insulting, he/she can intimidate me, to stop telling the truth about the crude and exceptional distribution of government institutions and amenities in Imo state, the person is a kid. |
rtdCivilservant:rtdCivilservant, FACE, OruExpress, IkengaAwo, and Bastardwike - the same person. |
Chris0017:Your backyard is where on earth? Nairalanders, please explain to me: is there any rule on NL that a location where snakes are killed or found, must not be mentioned? I like to know where types of snakes are usually found in Naija. |
rtdCivilservant:Same person - rtdCivilservant, IkengaAwo; OruExpress; FACE; I can count on. Stale method on NL. |
Dedetwo:In bold. You learnt the words : Municipality, city, town, village from English language. But perhaps only in Owerri shall the definition of the words now be given new meaning. Because Owerri is capital of Imo state and must remain the only developed place to earn whatever name to be given to a developed city. |
Dedetwo:“A municipal district is an administrative entity comprising a clearly-defined territory and its population. It can refer to a city, a town, a village, a small grouping of them, or a rural area.” —- English dictionary definition of Municipal area. The poor education of most people in Imo state that Owerri is the only locality in Imo worth tagging Urban, Metropolis, Municipality - that your poor education is under-developing rest of Imo state outside Owerri area. I have ignored you all the time due to your hollowness in expressions. Please stop. |
asha80:Why not? After all, it’s not about photos of hotels and brothels in Owerri capital territory.
|
Jestin:Words to Nigeria’s youths from Nigeria’s HoS, Gen Buhari in 1984 were that “youths are leaders of tomorrow.” It’s nearly 40 years after, Buhari is still the leader of Nigeria, no remorse. Many of those youths then have either been dehumanized or dead by inept leaderships ushered in after Buhari’s coup in 1983.
|
Bobotic:In bold. Let’s pray that Buhari and Dangote can bring down the prize of cement in 2021, so that you can easily build the mansion in Umuaka-Orlu, Imo state. Immediately after PMB came on board, cost of cement skyrocketed and sent away many prospective home builders from the show. |
BastardWike:Orlu zone has 12 LGAs but you equate Orlu zone to Okigwe zone of 6 LGAs. 12 LGAs of close to 3 million people but without a multi faculty public university to educate them is a SIN against the people in the zone, a nit wit wouldn’t see that; if you had blamed politicians from the zone.. Imopoly is a stone throw to Owerri, Owerri benefits 95% from Imopoly. Is a university teaching hospital a university? No. Worse, the teaching hospital you cite in Orlu had since been sabotaged to comatose state by people who believe all government projects of importance must be in the capital city? Stop letting your disdain for Orlu senatorial district to make you a nit wit. |
Beremx:Orlu remains abandoned partly because hotels, brothels and rent seekers in Owerri lobby and even fight every governor of Imo state to submit to urban development and expansion of only Owerri in Imo state. They lobby for all 6 tertiary education institutions of government to remain in Owerri - nothing in Orlu. One efulefu cites IMSUTH in Orlu as a compromise even though he knows that IMSUTH has not functioned since 2007; and even when it functioned, it’s a hospital where about 400 students from Owerri came to do practicals. |
BastardWike:Destroying Okorocha’s roundabouts that obstruct vision of motorists in Owerri is not madness in the present governor. Replacing ancestral Eke Owerri market with modem market stalls by the present governor is not madness. Who converts a building started as market stalls to a 1000 bed hospital, when 27 Uncompleted General hospitals and moribund teaching hospital are not completed? Through his recent proclamation of extension of modern development to other urban and rural areas in Imo state, the present governor has deviated from Okorocha’s formula of attracting population influx to Owerri from Orlu and Okigwe zones he denied development infrastructures. It’s only persons like you with vested interest in Owerri who can associate madness to what the present governor is doing. |
sanctity454: Apt in bolded. Population of Owerri tripping in the last 5 years was architected by Rochas Okorocha’s inept government policy of concentration of government development landmarks in Owerri in 8 years. He boasted openly about his investing 65% of capital development budgeted funds of IMSG on Owerri in Owerri where he now lives. Okorocha has an imaginary enemy in Orlu Municipal LGA, even before he became governor; therefore, as governor, he reduced Orlu urban LGA to rural area, except expansion of 4 streets in Orlu leading to the major road to his hometown in Ogboko, in Ideato South LGA, the four streets some one has shown here during the past 8 years as Okorocha’s development in Orlu urban LGA. Of course, Okorocha’s refusal to place commensurate development infrastructures in Orlu to hold population in Orlu, resulted as well, to his refusal of same commensurate government infrastructures to other urban centers in Imo state, as he told all : “I am building our dear state capital city to international standard.” Result: population influx from Orlu and Okigwe zones to Owerri. |
IyaTola:To ward off those preying outsiders, irrespective of one’s academic laurels and fat back account, adhere to the rules of the marriage game: 1) don’t nag your spouse to stupor. 2) be ready to satisfy your spouse’s sexual desires. 3) maintain same bank account with your spouse. |
Ishilove:Alas, I am right with my belief that you knew the connotation of the term “village people,” before you made your earlier comment where you referred to “village people.” Leave Eko bright lights and return to your desolate and 19th Century development level village in the SW. |
Ishilove:Since WS introduced the “village people mourning” talk after the death and funeral of Chinua Achebe he refused to attend, cretins like you have made noise on “village people.” |
Ishilove:Unknown to you, you are worse off than the people you call village people. Typical villages cretin who sees Eko, the only developed area in his region as his hometown. |
TMSMedia:With those Michael Jackson wigs? Were they wearing those wigs during school days? |
@Akswift Owerri Municipal Local government authorities are supposed to plant trees in Owerri Municipal council area, not the duty of any state government organ, nonetheless, the office of the First Lady of the state. Imo state government has duty to govern the entire Imo state - all things being equal. It’s unconstitutional to not use the federal allocations of the state and its local government areas to provide infrastructures for the local government areas of the state, but indulge in using most of the funds for development in the state capital. |
AKswift:If you are not blind, did I mention Orlu there? I have been contributing to private initiatives to build urban roads and drainage in my Orlu, while our commonwealth goes nearly 90% to demolishing and rebuilding in Owerri. If you had a head, you should have understood that the poster intended the First Lady to organize planting trees in Owerri, something past governors Ohakim, Okorocha and Ihedioha also did in Owerri. Is governing state capital but ignore rest of the state the reason why states were created in Nigeria? |
etrouble:If the senseless pogrom of 1966 was against Yoruba, but Yoruba refused to secede from Nigeria, define cowardice. Grow up. Yoruba was about to secede from Nigeria because of one man, MKO Abiola, not becoming president of Nigeria. |
Nemere2020:
|
Office of the First Lady can initiate tree planting beginning from towns in her native Ideato nation, to state capital, to Oru East LGA, and to other places in Imo state that need afforestation. Charity begins at home. |
May his soul Rest In Peace |
Shellsploit:Ego and popularity through brain and hard work. No stepping stone from government. |
HeWrites:But Bakare and Tinubu’s plots to make a Yoruba succeed PMB, despite OBJ’s 8 years as president, is not healthy for zoning and rotation of presidency in Nigeria. As Tinubu and Bakare ignore zoning in the south, the north shall also ignore zoning the presidency to the south; a northerner then succeeds PMB in 2023.

Abagworo:Read again to note that I specifically mentioned the muddy/dusty urban roads in Orlu that have been nearly fully built with houses on both sides between Umuna pass Urban Secondary School on Amaigbo Road towards Holy Trinity Cathedral, to Bishop Shanahan College, to Girls Secondary School in Orlu urban LGA. More than a dozen of these urban roads were given out for paving and drainage by former governor Amadi Ikwechegh. The contract barely started when Ikwechegh was transferred from Imo state, and the contract was never completely executed till today. Millions of Naira put in and abandoned. If you cared to move out of these four streets expanded in Orlu by Okorocha government, you should see the rotting gutters built by Ikwechegh’s government then. This Amaigbo Road you posted here is about 500 meters expanded by Okorocha government which did not go beyond St Joseph Catholic Church but should have gone all the way to the end of Orlu urban LGA in Exiachi side. By the way, a government pays more attention to a place where government institutions of development are located. In the absence of any tertiary education institutions of government with population in, or near Orlu urban LGA, like government converting the university in Ideato or Nkwerre proposed by Okorocha government, it’s hard for the governments of these days to look into urban development of Orlu and pavement of those dusty/muddy streets of Orlu, as Owerri expanded recently and consumes the attention of government. Above all, a multi faculty government university is the engineer of human and economic development in area located. It’s foul play to restrict the advantages of closeness to multi faculty government university to Owerri and its natives alone, and in the process jam pack too many young students in Owerri for criminal gangs to exploit. This has been the discourse. |
AuwalYusuf812:Because Nigerians switched off from Nigeria’s once beautiful football league to foreign football leagues. Iwuanyawu was the owner and sponsor of Iwuanyawu Nationale which birthed Heartland Football club. We need sponsors for Heartland football club now. |
Omoslim26:How you linked the governor issue to the discussion about a local football club - that’s wahala. |
