Emeka Ihedioha, stop kneeling . Most of Orlu zone is for you in 2019 guber contests. Provided you promise to modernise Orlu and Okigwe areas to come closer to Owerri 's level.
Imo state can't continue with having only Owerri as modern city.

Orlu massively voted Okorocha in 2011 to narrow the development gap between Owerri and the other towns in Imo state

But no body in Orlu knew that Okorocha had an old grudge from intercommunal brawls against Orlu. He even destroyed existing development infrastructures in Orlu.

Iwuanyanwu, give Atiku the condtion that for Imo to vote him, let him promise to establish a public university in Orlu area, the most densell populated area outside the major cities in West Africa. It's strange that Orlu area with a dense population of about 2.5 million people have no public university.

Don't ask for more universities in Owerri which hosts all the three public universities in Imo state, as you asked Jonathan in 2014 to establish more universities and teaching hospital in Owerri.

Tell oga Rochas to do himself and Imo state one favour:
Rochas needs to tell President Muhammadu Okechukwu Buhari to let the Federal government take over and convert Eastern Palm University, Ogboko, to a new Campus of FUTO or to a new Federal University. Votes are important for Buhari now; Imo state may go for him for doing so.
Every governorship candidate in Imo today has a promise to recover Eastern Palm University from Rochas.
Rochas should have known about CONFLICT OF INTERESTS which wouldn't permit a sitting governor to build such university as a private institution.

PoliticsRe: APC, FG Commence Total Clampdown On Opposition; PDP by Amah70: 1:58pm On May 19, 2018

PDP Press Conference

APC, FG Commence Total Clampdown on Opposition

The National Working Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), after due consideration of the state of the nation, particularly the clampdown on opposition and dissenting voices, states as follows;

The PDP alerts all Nigerians that the All Progressives Congress (APC) and its Federal Government have commenced a vicious and direct clampdown of major opposition leaders, perceived political opponents and individuals with interests and views that are divergent to those of their Presidential aspirant, perhaps, candidate, President Muhammadu Buhari, ahead of the 2019 general elections.

The clampdown is tailored to silence opposition as well as those who refused to join or support the APC in their unlawful design to emasculate other political parties, undermine our laws and electoral system, foist a one-party state and perpetuate their incompetent, dysfunctional and anti-people rule on our nation.

It is instructive to inform that our leaders, particularly, our National Chairman, Prince Uche Secondus, have been receiving threats since the PDP filed a petition to the United Nations and the Commonwealth of Nations, detailing documented threats to democracy by the APC and its Federal Government, abuse of human rights, mass killings, extra-judicial executions, persecution of opposition and unabated constitutional violations.

The PDP is aware of clandestine plots against key opposition leaders, particularly, members of the PDP National Working Committee, some dissenting members of the APC, members of the civil society, opinion leaders, journalists and bloggers, who refuse to succumb to intimidation and that such persons have already been listed and currently being trailed by agents of the state.

This has become manifest in the plot to rope members of “nPDP”, especially those in the National Assembly, into gun-running and murder charges just because they came out to voice their opposition to the APC government’s constitutional violations and executive brigandage in the running of our nation’s affairs.

The PDP wants Nigerians and the international community to know those to hold responsible should PDP leaders, as well as other members of the opposition start falling victims of untoward situations like assassinations, unexplained accidents, inexplicable "armed robbery” attacks, high profile abduction and sudden disappearances.

These include wanton arrest, manhandling and detention of opposition leaders on trumped-up charges, as well as illegal invasion of their homes and businesses by agents of the state.

Apart from allegations of corruption, there are also plots to clamp down and detain opposition leaders for charges bordering on treason and the PDP is also aware that some compromised judicial officers have been enlisted to give convictions and jail members of opposition as well as dissenting voices, on flimsy grounds.

Moreover, we know that the APC is fixated with the PDP because of the renewed popularity of our party among Nigerians, as the inevitable vehicle to return power to the people, restore democracy, national cohesion and safeguard our territorial integrity, come 2019.

The PDP’s response to all these plots is that we are not cowed. Nigeria belongs to all of us and our laws on political engagements are very clear. The PDP, as a party committed to democracy and freedom will continue to uphold the inalienable rights of our citizens to free speech, political association and to politically aspire to any position in the land, including the Presidency.

Our party, therefore, urges all Nigerians to be alert, united and remain resolute in their decision to collectively defend our democracy and its tenets, constitutionally guaranteed personal freedom and the rule of law in our nation.

PoliticsRe: It's Disgraceful No Nigerian Refinery Performs Up To 50% - President Buhari Says by Amah70: 2:10pm On Jan 27, 2018
Sure, this man, Buhari, does not understand why he was elected president of Nigeria.

Do we blame Buhari? Nigeria was politically restructured by northern soldiers who created 20 states in one northern region, but allowed only 17 states in the two southern regions; a presidential candidate needs to win 25% of votes from 2/3 of the 36 states (that's in (24 states) to be declared winner; thus it is easier for a cow from northern region to win a most qualified presidential candidate from the two southern regions.

Many years after wrongly using land mass as criterion to proliferate 20 states in one northern region, the politicians from the south still do not seem to understand that land mass is not used as a criterion to create new political units from the existing political units in a country formed by many region regions.

Using the undue political over-representation derived from the 20 states, political class from the north shit into the mouths of the politicians from the south.

Egina FPSO Arrives Nigeria

The Nigeria oil and gas industry recorded another milestone as the the $3.3 billion Egina Floating Production Storage Offloading (FPSO) vessel arrived in Lagos Nigeria from South Korea for oil production from the $16 billion 200,000 barrels per day capacity Egina deepwater oilfield Located in the Oil Mining Lease (OML) 130 offshore.

The vessel arrived at the Samsung Yard (SHI-MCI FZE quayside) in Lagos on Tuesday.

The FPSO, which was built by Samsung Heavy Industries (SHI), sailed away from the quay side at Samsung Yard in Geoje, South Korea, on October 31, 2017, on its long anticipated journey to Nigeria, which was initially estimated to last for 90 days.

The Egina oilfield, which will add 200,000 barrels per day of crude oil to Nigeria’s daily production when it comes on stream by the end of 2018, is being developed by Total Upstream Nigeria Limited (TUPNL) at the cost of $16 billion.

Egina FPSO is a giant oil production ship operated by Total for the production of crude from its Egina oil field deep offshore Nigeria. The vessel, which left South Korea on October 31, last year, is in Lagos for further integration of its six topsides at LADOL Free Trade Zone, Tarkwa Bay, Lagos. The vessel had sailed for three months.

The Egina FPSO has a storage capacity of 2.2 million barrels of crude oil and a daily production of 108,000 barrels per day capacity. It is 35 meters high, 330 meters long, with a flare boom that is 100 meters high just as it has capacity to accommodate 200 people at a time.

PoliticsRe: Obasanjo, Grandmaster Of Timing, Changes Calculations For 2019 - Jideofor Adibe by Amah70: 11:11am On Jan 25, 2018
What's OBJ timing regarding Buhari?
Buhari is not Goodluck Jonathan.

Buhari, or even an illiterate leper from northern Nigeria, can easily win a most qualified professor of Law from the south in Nigeria's presidential election. How?

Because a presidential candidate needs to win 25% of votes in 24 states to be declared winner.

But northern military dictators proliferated 19 states + Abuja in one northern region.

So it is easy for a Buhari, or an illiterate leper, from north to win 24 states, but not easy for any southern candidate - so long as Fulani-controlled north said the president must come from the north.

A Nigeria formed by three regions that functioned like equals, it's fraudulent to use land mass as criterion to later divide the country into states and lgas, thereby create huge numbers of states and lgas in one northern region..

PoliticsRe: It Is Insanity For Anybody To Wish Buhari To Continue Beyond 2019 - Igbo Youths by Amah70: 10:50am On Jan 25, 2018
With Nigeria's rigged political structure where northern military dictators proliferated 20 political units in former northern region, a Buhari from the north must win a most qualified professor of Law from the south in Nigeria's presidential election.

It's either Nigeria is politically restructured in a democracy or the country is divided.

Anyhow, all these go on because of the tragic errors of some unenviable people from the non-Igbo speaking areas of the old southeast region.

Those unenviable people traveled to Kaduna in 1967 and pleaded to Fulani to cut non-Igbo speaking areas of the old southeast region from Biafra.
Without this, what can now be concerning Ben Bruce, or indeed people of the old southeast region with Fulani and herdsmen?

PoliticsRe: PDP Chairmen In North Reject Zoning Of National Chairmanship To South-west by Amah70: 5:50pm On Dec 02, 2017
UcheSecondus:
The chairmen of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the 19 northern states and the FCT on Friday rejected suggestions that the National Chairmanship seat of the party be sub-zoned to a particular zone in the South.

The chairmen, who announced their stance after a meeting in Abuja, however, reaffirmed commitment to the zoning of two principal positions as agreed at the party’s National Convention in Port Harcourt last year.

Hassan Hyat, Chairman, Forum of PDP State Chairmen in the North, who addressed the press after the meeting, said that the forum “rejected any move to sub-zone the seat to any particular zone”.

“The position cannot be sub-zoned to a particular zone in the south because that will disenfranchise other contestants. We, as state chairmen, cannot be party to any micro-zoning.

“The party’s decision at the Port Harcourt Convention is final and binding on all. No one has the right to change or tamper with it,” Mr. Hyat declared.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the party had zoned the office of the National Chairman to the South, and its ticket in the 2019 Presidential elections to the North.

Some interest groups have, however, suggested that the National Chairmanship seat be sub-zoned to the South-West, and premised their stance on the argument that the zone had never occupied the position.

A group of northern PDP elders recently re-echoed that stance and urged delegates from the north to vote for candidates from the South-West for the party’s top position at the PDP National Convention slated for Dec. 9.

But the Northern States Chairmen Forum, after deliberating on the development, resolved to reject such micro-zoning as proposed by such elders.

“The party’s decision is that all parts of the south should be given the opportunity to present their candidates so that delegates can choose the best material for the position of National Chairman.

“We stand by that position and and have resolved to reject any sub-zoning to a particular area,” the forum declared.
The forum further declared that zoning was a cardinal principle of the PDP and should “never be toyed with”.

“As the national convention gets closer, our stance on the zoning arrangement remains unshakeable. We believe that our party will only get stronger if we remain committed to it,” he said.

The forum urged delegates to assess candidates critically and vote on merit, and advised the contestants to be “temperate and civil” in the use of language.

“The party’s interest should be the principal guiding spirit. No other personal or group’s interest should be placed over it,” the group declared.
It urged members seeking positions to “understand that power comes from God” and be prepared to accept whoever God ordained to lead the PDP.

The group commended the National Caretaker Committee of the PDP for strengthening the party after its protracted crises, and expressed happiness that the PDP was growing stronger “every minute”.

It particularly expressed satisfaction with the attention the party was gaining nationwide, saying that recent defections to the fold was a testimony to its rising popularity.

On the expected return of former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, to the PDP, Mr. Hyat said that it was a “beautiful development”.

“Atiku is back and we are all happy to have him on board once again. We are going to receive even more defectors in the next few days. It only shows that our party is waxing stronger,” he said.

Mr. Hyat, however, rejected suggestions that the returnees would divide the PDP.
“The new comers will not divide the party. They will make us stronger. We need them to build a strong force to wrestle power from the APC,” he said.

NAN reports that the meeting was attended by 16 chairmen, while four sent representatives.

PDP big wigs from the south are merely going for capturing Aso Rock in 2019 to continue with their eating as usual without considering the implications of zoning the presidency to the north.

By 2017 when the president form north is expected to step down, the skewed political structure and unitary govt system of Nigeria must have become so deeply entrenched that any southerner calling for political restructuring may be imprisoned for committing a crime of calling for political restructuring.

Nigeria leadership story did not start from 1999. but PDP big wigs conveniently started from 1999 to count Nigeria's leadership story. North has ruled Nigeria during 41 of the country's 57 years.

Atiku, or any other northern president, cannot convince northern leaders to restructure Nigeria politically - the only means to guarantee peace and development in Nigeria.

Nigeria needs a southern president to use stick and carrot approach to get north to agree to political restructuring of Nigeria in a democracy.
