Hello gurus
I just got a correspondence letter this morning. I applied via online route 7th of June and did biometric on the 11th and my upfront medical was updated to pass on the 13th of June. And today been the 27th of June I got a Correspondence Letter, I guess they have already reached a decision and it a refusal. Do I apply for my GCMS notes now before the final decision comes in to know how to tackle the points raised by the VO and also defer my admission to January intake 2020? |

Bro, it is not justifiable to silence your first degree when you even know you have stated that in your first application. And what reasonable reason will tell the VO for the 13 years study gap? Bro I will advise you go for a PGD course or for direct masters because your Cgpa is good. kvbenjamin44: ok thanks alot my sponsor is my elder brother I graduated with 3.97 I wish your cousin a positive reply would like to ask a friend asked me to reapply again and silence my first degree how possible is that. since i have applied before with my first degree being pronounced 13 years study gap is it justifiable |

Thank you boss. What i saw is a Post graduate Certificate program Softare and Information Systems Testing (Co-op). I am applying for this program straight away. Naijaforeigner: (1) It is almost impossible to get admission as an international student (at least for Nigerians) into Fanshawe without using an agent. Any money you pay your agent will be returned when you get your visa. P.s The agents are only for admission.
(2) If you see any PGD with co-op in your preferred program, please take it with both hands and legs (you will thank me later). If there is no PGD with co-op, go for PGC. You can always renew your study permit in Canada.
The other degree you mentioned, that is not even an option. |

I have that in mind Stonecoldsteve, I'm hoping on God it will end in praise. Stonecoldsteve: If you go back through thread 15, you will find people whose upfront medicals were updated to pass and still delayed. Nothing is certain until you get PPR. Just keep praying and hoping |

Please, the rate at which I am seeing biometric correspondence coming before medical request or medical changing to pass is getting me scared or is it a new pattern.
I applied on the 7th of June and I did upfront medicals and got a biometric collection letter on the 8th of June then on the 13th of June my medicals was changed to Passed. Review of Eligibility has not started yet, Is this normal or a good sign? |

Please, someone, help me out in throwing more light to these gray areas. Amahjosh: I have some questions to ask
Can't someone apply to Fanshawe College without going through their listed Agents?
And also what are the differences between the Postgraduate Certificate and Advanced Diploma in Canadaian colleges and the pros and cons. I read a post by Naijaforeigner where he advises that we should go for a 2 years program instead of one year program so as to get more than one-year work permit or we don't go through the hassle of providing an SOA if you are applying for another program. I am finding it hard to get any good school that offers a PGC 2 year program with a co-op option in my field Computer Science/Information Systems, what am seeing is just for Advance Diploma programs for most colleges.
Please, I need your Inputs on this.

Good day Fam, Please gurus am asking for a friend, I need your inputs so my friend can correct this mistake.
My friend during his application upload a SOA that is not stamped and signed by the bank because he requested for a soft copy that the SOA should be sent directly to his email for easy upload to avoid the heck of going to scanned bulky SOA documents. I just read in the thread this morning that it is better to get the hard copy which will be signed and stamped. Can the person get the hard copy of the SOA which will be signed and stamped, and send to CIC through webform because the person has already submitted his application last 2 weeks. |

My uncle said he doesn't have enough cash in his personal accounts. I will be opting to be a self sponsored applicant and raising the cash in my account to up to 8M. My total cost in canada for my 1 year PGD program is approximately 7M. Just hope this will be better option than using the company account with low balance JustMellow: Your personal funds seems good. It would be better if the relative can sponsor you personally rather than using the company's account. I believe in Luck and Grace but its always good not to merely rely on them without doing the necessary. Irrespective of the inflow and outflow which also helps a lot, but do not apply with a low closing balance |

I have 6.7M in my personal account after the payment of my first semester tuition fee. After paying my first semester fee and securing my LE which is 3M, I have 3.7M left in my personal SOA. The CEO of my firm is a relative from the same community. And my firm is a big firm which inflow and out runs almost 300M in the last 6 months. Huge cash comes in and leaves the account frequently because we are involved in contracts. JustMellow: Hello Amahjosh,
You left out a bit of detail. You didn't state how much is the closing balance in your personal SOA given that you're a self sponsored applicant. If after you've paid for your tuition fees and have your LE secured, what is the balance left in your personal SOA?
Its a good idea your employer wants to cosponsor you but how long have you worked for your employer, and what about someone else like close relatives?
If the closing balance in your personal SOA isn't sufficient maybe to cover your LE after paying your tuition fees, then your application might be up for proper financial scrutiny questioning the reason why your employer would be stressing to sponsor with the limited funds holding in the closing balance irrespective of the inflow and outflow even though if it sometimes plays a contributive role during financial scrutiny.
It doesn't make sense saying someone who's not a relative is willing to use the last 6m that is left in the account to sponsor another person who isn't blood and bone through an expensive educational journey especially if its a one man business. Am not saying it isn't possible but in this Canada immigration of a thing, the VO are suspicious of every moves made by applicants. |

Thank You very much JustMellow, I will get a CoSponsor JustMellow: Many applicants so much believe in luck which is very necessary especially for visa application but the right order must be in place for luck to be in process.
Being a self sponsor and having a reliable source of funds plus a closing balance of 6.5m with a well packaged application could slide prayerfully on luck and faith. Then, the BUT is your tuition is quite expensive in additional to your LE which already outweighed the closing balance.
Given that you've paid your 1st semester tuition fee already and a budget of your 1st year LE which is a good move but still another financial scrutinizing might pop up as to the financial strength/capacity of your source of funds to be able to cater for the 2nd semester without any expense of affecting your source of funds.
In practical thinking, the total sum of your 1yr program outside other miscellaneous expenses i.e. flight, books, college dues etc has outweighed the sum of your closing balance which simply states in the official language of the VOs as insufficient funds.
My advise
Get a cosponsor with a sufficient account balance and good source of funds, and with your 6.5m closing balance, your application won't only slide on luck but fly over luck.
BTW you can apply with either of the account holding the sufficient funds as long it bears your legal details.
Good luck! |

Hello Gurus in the House,
Good day every one.
I want to ask is Tax Clearance Certificate Important because i will be using my company as source of FUNDS. I registered the business with CAC last year October but have been running the my business since before it was registered. Should i ignore the Tax clearance certificate and just apply with my CAC certificate and my Company SOA which is barely few months not up to 6 months and i have transferred most of the funds (for my studies to my personal savings account) in my company account to my Personal Savings account to add up the funds already in my personal account. Or should i still get the tax clearance certificate, i called someone the amount he was saying to get the certificate is outrageous 150k.
Secondly as it stands which route is faster for visa application Online route or Paper route currently?
And please i need gurus that will help go through my SOP. I need reviews.

Sir Frank I want to say a big thank you for this detailed reply and all you do in this forum. The way you share info to newbies like me amaze me. I just believe I owe you something, I owe you a plate of delicious OFE OHA i don't know if you are from the South east. Would love to be your mentee, Have taken it as a duty to read up all your comments in this forum Please sir will be sending a dm now. Frankrobbn1: Hi Amahjosh,
In respect to your questions, please find the following answers below:
1-) You have to draw a family tree that will encapsulate how your father and his cousin (uncle) is related. First, you have to start by demonstrating the relationship between your grandfather and your (sponsor's) grandfather with the rest of the family members down to your generation. See attached at the last page of this post a copy of a family tree you can use it as guide when constructing yours. While doing this, try as much as you can to establish a strong proof of relationship between you and your sponsor, by including your father's age declaration, int'l passport bio data page and sponsor int'l passport bio data page.
2-) Having your sponsor to pay for your tuition fees from his account isn't a red flag to your visa application rather it gives a practical exhibition that funds will be accessible and available to you the principal applicant. It further goes a long way to show your sponsor (uncle) financial commitment, genuineness and eagerness to finance your study in Canada.
3-) These are the list of DOCUMENTS you need from your sponsor (uncle).
4-) BREAK DOWN BETWEEN ONLINE ROUTE AND PAPER ROUTE
i)The online route no one will correct your mistakes like it is done on paper route where VFS workers will make sure your papers are complete and arranged accordingly before submission.
ii) If you have access to a scanner and a desktop/system, online route is okay. Bear in mind, you will need to compress and merge your documents to 4MB before you can be able to upload them on your MyCIC account and also have your Naira debit card handy in order to complete payment. On the other hand, the paper route you are to pay at the counter in the VFS office.
III) The online route, upon successful submission of your application, you will receive a notification a day or 2 days as the case maybe at times might stay up to a week to proceed for your biometrics. Whilst, the paper route, you will complete everything that very day at the VFS office, then wait for the outcome of your application.
IV) Finally, Online route is cost (65-66k) for first timers. Whereas, paper route cost (68-69k) for first time applicant.
So it's left for you to decide which best suit you. Be properly guided that none of the above routes (paper and online) have any added advantage to your TRV application.
5-) You will have enormous explanation to give should you opt for a second degree instead of a PGD reasons being that you will have to cover up for your study gaps. What were you up to/doing since you last left highschool until now?. I believe your sole purpose of coming here is to seek for advice. Hence, I will advice you from the wisdom of my experiences which I enjoyed for over the years that you should go ahead and apply for your visa with the PGD acceptance letter from George Brown College(GBC) and explain in your SOP how the program will be beneficial to your career and how it will be translated to your home country for the benefit of others.
I drop my pen!
Best of luck! |
