Yes, Magoosh also has a 90-day GRE prep schedule. I can't emphasize taking a diagnostic test enough. It's very important.
I think I understand where you're right now.

Here's a timeline you (as well as other Fall 2019 hopefuls) may consider: Disclaimer: user discretion is advised!

April: TOEFL - After 1 month of prep. ( 2 weeks is enough to get decent scores. Heck, I had a manageable score with about 10 days of prep). Within this time, research schools you'll be applying to. Don't waste the free score reports. Consider admission requirements, faculty in your interested research areas, funding scene, etc.
Suggested TOEFL materials: ETS free materials and notefull.com

July: GRE - After 3 months of assiduous prep. Apart from the diagnostic test, consider taking at least 3 full tests simulating exam situation (write the essays too) (that's 1 every month).
Suggested materials: Magoosh videos, the 3 ETS official guides, Manhattan 5lb for quants, Magoosh flashcard for vocabs, Princeton review for verbal, "Ready4" app on Android/iOS - for prepping on the go, etc.

August: start the application process, apply for transcripts if required, inform you recommenders (it's advisable you give them 1 month notice + gentle reminders)

September/October: LORs should have been completed by now. Start submitting your applications...

For starters, share your profile with the house. Now is the best time to seek clarifications to your doubts. It'll be tough to get responses once Fall 2018 hopefuls resume. All the best!

That means you have about a month before test date. Google search magoosh 30 days GRE schedule.
First thing you need is to take a diagnostic test. Take any of Powerprep, Manhattan or Kaplan's full test in a near test day situation- from my experience, a month of practice should see you improve by 10 points on Q+V. That said, gurus advise prepping for 3 months.

By the way, why are you taking the exam by May? Aren't you planning towards Fall 2019?

hello gurus please i want to make several questions

1. Can i change the location of my GRE exam after it has been schedule because i think Owerri will be much more closer than Lagos during my exam date

2. How can prepare for the GRE exam for just 2 months because the ebooks given to me by B.Y mafit are so voluminous i dont know if i can cover them for that space of time. Is there better ways to use those materials to prepare for the exam and still get maximum result.

3. Which schools can i easily get tuition fee cut/waiver or partial scholarships as a Masters Engineering student (Telecommunication/Network Engineering)

Please gurus i need your inputs am just kicking starting the process and hoping to apply for spring 2019

It's nice to know that you've done your research.

It's possible to get your PR before the 18 months elapse by simply starting off your PR application using the guides on this thread even before you leave Nigeria. You'd be making a big mistake if your sole means of PR is the hope that an employer would sponsor you.

I and few others on the thread first moved to Australia on 476, and now we are already permanent residents while few are closing in on that.
For those I knew that started the PR process asap, it took 1yr maximum, with mine being the longest so far owing to my challenge in making band 8 in English. So, fear of getting your PR before the 18 months should be the least of your worries as that completely depends on you meeting the required skilled points; there are no external factors.

Please note that the 476 visa is for only Engineering graduates of recognised universities in the accord agreements; Nigerian universities don't fall under this category. So, if you've just completed your degree in a Nigerian university, you won't be eligible unless you know a way around that. However, if your university is an eligible university, then you can apply using the steps outlined on an earlier page of this thread following the link below.

If you do not qualify for 476, and are eager to move to Australia, then you should apply straightaway for the PR 189 or 190.
You qualify for those. All you need is a minimum of 60 skilled points from your education (possible 15), age (possible 30 if you're 25 - 31yo) and English (possible 20 for band 8 ). Please do NOT ask me how to apply for PR as that's what this thread is fully committed to do. Just read the first 3 pages and you'd find all you need.

Unfortunately, the 476 visa is targeted to recent Engineering graduates from recognised universities under any of the 3 accord agreements who are younger than 31yo. Cheers

Good morning e-family. As it has always been my habit(bad habit) I have always tended towards being a silent passive reader (I answer questions o because plenty people PM me and I answer o, lol guilty conscience is worrying me)

Anyway, I am first of all grateful to God and second, my biggest thank you goes to Bellong (May the Lord perfect all that concerns you in Jesus Name Sir).

To everyone who recently got their grant and ITAs, I say big congratulations to you all.

I want to also say a very big thank you to this e-family, without this forum, I probably won't be a PR visa holder today.

I have gotten my grant, for me, my husband and our son yesterday morning by 5.34 am. I will come back to put a detailed timeline but I lodged on the 18th of May (190 NSW Visa) on my Mum's birthday and at exactly 4 months, 18th of September, on my nieces' birthday, grant came. I am super thankful to you all and I am most grateful to God.

I submitted it thesame day too- apparently it was a document i had submitted before but i included a scan of the boarding pass and my return tickets to the new request.
Date of grant 24-07-2017 (7:37am)
School- Deakin University, melbourne
Orientation- 03-07-2017
Start date- 10-07-2017 (lol man don old for house)

Its a real testimony people, up until friday midnight i hadnt lost hope of getting my grant infact i bought a new travelling box this weekend, ironed and arranged all my cloths with the strong hope of getting visa grant this week.
A friend asked me this morning ' how far visa neva
Show? Nd that immediately reminded me to check my email. Lo nd behold visa grant
To all expecting visa..this week would not pass you by in Jesus name. Just have a strong believe and be hopeful.
Would also advice all hopefuls to check their emails regularly. The longer it takes u to reponds to the request of an additional document from your case officer the longer it would take for an apporved visa grant.

Boss how did scale the hurdle of Statement of Account....How much was in the account and how long did you lodge the sum there. Because am finding it every hard to get a sponsor with same surname having huge sum like 15M

People here are very busy waiting for visas.

The good thing for you is that the money will be there for three months.

Make sure the account is busy during that period through withdrawals and desposits.

And when you want to print. Choose dates when the balances are huge during the three months.

I want to make my distance uncle transfer like 10M to my elder sibling account and allow the funds stay der for like 3 months because of my SOA...would have use my uncle account but my agent said my sibling bearing my surname will be better..and after the 3 months i want to return the funds my question is..is it OK to do that and won't they noticed I transferred the money for in that account for visa grant...The inflow and out flow of the account is OK. .Please I need reply thanks

5M is enuf for your fees as Pfl majorly does Al1 schools. Nonetheless u need to av a gd SOA when u are abt applying for your Visa. Use google to check the SOL courses that can further enhance ur stay back in Australia. Hope this helps
