nnachukz: Through Boko Haram, Nigeria has been sucked to near comatose state, after losing billions of dollars because of Boko Haram. Nigeria also lose tourists money because of foreigners' fear of Boko Haram which says it is fighting for a country to be governed through sharia criminal codes. Northern Nigeria leaders adopted the use of Islamic Sharia Criminal codes shortly before Boko Haram emerged in Nigeria. Do we not blame Nigerians who don't like Nigerians struggling to opt out of this one Nigeria? When shall this end? Are we sure Boko people shall not come again in full force whenever a president that is not from Muslim north of Nigeria steps into Aso Rock? If Nigeria is buying military hardware to fight Boko Haram, do we not know what Boko Haram says it's fighting for? Boko Haram says it's fighting for a country to be governed through sharia criminal justice system. Twelve northern Nigeria states adopted the use of Islamic Sharia Criminal justice system and shortly after that, Boko Haram emerged and started to use extreme violence to fight for a territory or country to be governed through sharia criminal justice system. Do we not know that the twelve northern Nigeria Sharia states would have loved to have a country to be governed through sharia criminal laws but are still attached to Nigeria because of oyel money and access to the Atlantic ocean? Conduct a referendum to allow the different groups in Nigeria say the type of Nigeria they want or going their different old countries where they were before the British came, instead of buying military hardware to force people to one country they may not want. |

You either organize the restructuring of Nigeria toward true and fiscal federalism, or you bury your arms and ammunition as groups who disagree with the dysfunctional governance system and rigged political structure of Nigeria separate from Nigeria for peaceable and workable countries ooooooo. |

Nigeria, a country that has no hostile neighbours, but spends much of its earnings to acquire military hardware and train its soldiers in a particular purpose for killing its citizens. All because a particular clique in the country wouldn't mind killing off groups who dissent against a political structure and dysfunctional governance system that have ended up not leaving the citizens with one MW of electricity, brought hunger and near starvation to the masses, no running water, no land telephone, no good roads, etc. Only because a section of Nigeria wants the political status quo to remain, because it used its military dictators to restructure the country politically such that the section draws undue large political representation from the undue large number of states and hundreds of local government areas its soldiers created for it, and which makes the section's political class take a huge share of shared revenues. 1 Like |

Adminisher: You must have believed that you were writing above for kids in the kinder.. You tell us that northerners are not corrupt, you must have believed that you were talking to Almajiris. Who stole Nigeria dry during thirty-eight years of northern military dictatorship; and worse, could not understand that infrastructures like electricity, running water, telephone, railway lines, roads etc. had to be built or replenished? You wrote as if Nigeria started just yesterday. Niger delta should have developed as good as Dubai if not for for the 50 years deceptive tactics from people like you; the same type of deception you also deployed above.. Your north caused your Boko Haram and destruction when you started to toy with sharia criminal codes. Boko Haram took over and tried to enforce sharia criminal codes by a most violent method, and it resulted to all the destructuion in the north. Nigeria has lost billions of Dollars oil money over Boko Haram. If left alone, President Buhari could have deployed most of Nigeria's oil revenues to north of Nigeria - to repair the self-inflicted wound in the north done by Boko Haram. Before north can recover from the damages done by Boko Haram in the north, the Nigerdelta must have freed itself from you leeches and parasites of Nigeria, and Niger delta area must have recouped what it lost during this struggle - in a short period of time. And do you sincerely believe that Boko Haram can't return again in full force whenever a president of Nigeria is not a notrthern Muslim? You are a worst liar when you said that Nigeria's problem was mentality, not structural. Your lied to high heavens there. Nigeria's problem is STRUCTURAL. No Nigerian was born a thief, corrupt, a fighter or secessionist. But because north used miliatry force to restructure Nigeria politically and scattered too many states and LGas in the north to suck up Nigeria's shared revenues; and because north draws undue political over-representation from the large number of states which it uses to detrmine what can be in Nigeria, we can no longer amend the vital areas of the north-supervised constitution in a democracy. That's the dilema of Nigeria today. Oil is found in the Nigerdelta which remains in a decadent state owing mostly from environmental pollution and poverty visited by Nigeria on the people of the Nigerdelta, but oil revenues are poured more into the north to finance development projects that include the latest $1.05 billion standard gauge train lines in the north - the first ever and only in Nigeria. But Nigerdelta people travel on muddy federal roads and on canoes. Meanwhile, most of the southern people that used to live in the north have been chased away by use of unfavourable sharia criminal laws and sharia follow-up Boko Haram violence. Note that those you people deceived, as you tried to do above are mostly gone to the world beyond. This is the 21st century, a time when information is available to any one who seeks for it. Did those militants come from Libya? Those militants must have done some Maths: the SW is only region that is not yet disturbed by militants, so many SW people taunt, laugh and insult other regions who are disturbed by militancy apparantly informed by urge to reform Nigeria's failed political process ---- or break -up the country into more peaceable countries. ----- north was disturbed by militant Boko Haram who wants sharia territory or country governed with sharia criminal laws, after 12 northern states adopted sharia criminal laws. southeast disturbed by IPOB and Janjaweeeeed soldiers who shoot IPOB. The manner Buhari appoints only northerners to core positions in Nigeria, one feels that Buhari has some secrets up his sleeves against the south of Nigeria, especially, against the old eastern region and Delta state. People agitating for new Republics in the old eastern region and Delta state must not give this most ethno/religious bigot Nigeria ever had as leader the chance to spill more blood and to burn these areas. Buhari since adulthood has managed cheap cash from crude oil. He doesn't seem to understand that there's any other way his northern Nigeria can survive without cheap cash from crude oil. By the time Buhari finishes with Nigeria, only blood, hatred and division shall be left. This is a man Buhari who became president of Nigeria because INEC Jega adjusted electorate system, included Card Readers. Jega didn't even insist that Buhari must present his O Level certificate. Buhari ignores these but wants to chose the principal officers for the legislative process of government, and with laughable excuse that some people changed the rules on how the principal officers of the Senate could be elected. Until an Islamic Sharia country ruled through sharia criminal laws is created in the core north of Nigeria for those twelve states that adopted sharia criminal laws, this news of fighting Boko Haram shall continue to be prominent on Nigeria's news space, and the fight shall continue to consume Nigeria's scarce resources. Boko Haram has consistently told whoever listened that it is fighting for a country to be governed with sharia criminal laws. No country ever won a religious war. Even the US did not win the Taliban. MrEverest: There are about 65 million people of SE and SS origin, about 98% of them worship through Christendom, any Muslim in the region is not an extremist; best, all the tribes in the two regions share common value systems. The SW is a mixed bag, with about half of the SW region sharing similar value systems with northern Nigeria and both groups bonded together by Islam. Commonly shared value systems are the bedrock of nationhood. Without shared value systems, no nationhood can be formed from a country. Crude oil in the SS/SE is what now keeps the SS/SE in one country with the SW/North. |

Abagworo: SICKNESS. A governor afflicted with the Obsession of becoming president of Nigeria; thus the governor became more obsessed with the idea that he can only be noticed if he narrows whatever infrastructure from his government to only the state capital, Owerri; even though the rest of Imo state remain in ruins.
