PoliticsRe: Imagine This Kind Of Nigeria by Amax(m): 10:07am On Sep 12, 2008
Imagine a Nigeria where:
1. There is light 24 hours of a day, 7 days of a week and 365 days of a year, and if by any chance the light has to go off, there is prior notice and apologies is sent as well and wont be off more than few minutes.
2. The roads are great and there no more a death traps.
3. Medical institutions are top of te lines.
4. Security is great, and you could just park your car and wont have to pray and fast that the ride wont be stolen.
5. There is safe and drinkable water at every home
6. There are affordable houses and home for 80% of the populations, because it is not possible to have 100% of the populations.
7. Affordable education for more than just few.
8. Unemployment rate of less than 10%
9. Fair distribution of the national wealth.
10. Good facility for growth and start up of a business

What and what can we all do to make this happen?

THE ABOVE ARE REAL IF AND ONLY IF 9JA WILL GIVE ME THEIR VOTE NEXT PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION.

EducationRe: 30,000 Write Awolowo Varsity Post-ume by Amax(op): 11:42am On Jul 28, 2008
The V .c said the capacity to admit is only about 4, 000 which means the 4000 will come from  the V.Cs list, the D.V. Cs list, the H.O.Ds list,Deans list, the university registrar list, the ministers and senators list, and finally the lucky on Jambite merit ( jamb & post ume merit)will now sum up to 4000 from 30000 that sat for the exam. is a pity
Education30,000 Write Awolowo Varsity Post-ume by Amax(op): 9:35am On Jul 28, 2008
About 30, 000 candidates who scored 200 marks and above in this year’s Universities Matriculation Examination (UME) by JAMB, and made Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife either their first or second choices, sat for the institution’s post-UME weekend.
The University, however, has the capacity to admit only about 4, 000 of them. The Vice Chancellor, Professor Michael Faborode, who made this known while fielding questions from newsmen, said the University’s admission quota through both the UME and Direct Entry was 5,000, with about 4, 000 reserved for UME.
He assured that the system of selection takes care of all candidates irrespective of whether they made the University their first or second choice. “We do not take everything from the first choice (list) only. We ensure that we give equal opportunity to those who made OAU their second choice.”
On how the results are utilised, Faborode said, the University does not discard the JAMB scores. “You are only qualified for the post-UME by virtue of your JAMB score. When it comes to the admission proper, after the post-UME, we still use the JAMB yardstick of selection to pick, in order of performance.
“If, for instance, you want to pick 50 candidates for Computer Science and Engineering, in those days, if the 50 candidates are (to be picked) by merit, we counted from one to 50 on the JAMB print-out (which begins with the candidate with the highest score). We still do the same thing now. The only difference is that, we might get as far as to the candidate with serial number 300 before we can pick 50, because if the first candidate scores 300 in JAMB and 50 (also out of 400) in post-UME, he’s out, ” If the next candidate scores 200 and above in post-UME, he is taken. OAU’s cut-off (in the post- UME) is also 200.”

On the report that 170 is the national pass mark in the UME, Faborode explained that what JAMB did was to raise the cut-off mark from 160 that it was to 170 or 40 per cent. But for all first generation universities, the cut-off mark remains 200, which is 50 per cent.He expressed regrets over the on-going teachers’ strike, which may affect the release of SSCE results. “It is unfortunate that this is affecting the marking of the WAEC exams, but we are conscious of it and will be considerate. The admission will not close when the students have not got their results,” both the federal and state he said and appealed to both the federal and state governments to resolve the crisis quickly, “so that students can go on with their studies.”

Who has ever worked in APMT apapa?
Hummmmmmmmm.
How do you see the working enviroment?
The work na die for here o!
Especially in the Engineering section.
After my NYSC, i was glad to pick up the offer but now am regreating it. Am equal to a dropout of secoundry school. APMT does not recognizes your certificate or qualification. We are all paid the same amount, even some of my colleague with 7years experience.
Work starts 6.30 to close 6.30- Hot 12 working hours.
Most embarassing- the so called Oyinbo's feels we are suffering and we have no alternative. When I was on the website some months ago before my employment, I was glad because of the compant profile but now, Am tired.
The unnecessary stress is much, no even time to apply or go for an interview. The heads that are black are not even helping.
Here na die oooooooo!

FamilyRe: Your Husband in The Labor Room During Childbirth? by Amax(m): 5:13pm On Aug 07, 2007
Is good to be there. If and only if the woman is sincere to the husband but if not I have seen a case in which the wife was shouting tunde, tunde, tunde instead of shola, shola, shola in the labour room, under such condition, the wife has planted a perpertual hatred to the baby by the father.Remember the wife  must shout the name of the real father of the baby under labour. So why should men be there? In African all most all the women are not sincere to there husband, what if the woman started  to shout tunde instead of shola.
